Golden light instantly enveloped the Minotaur. At the moment it struck, the Minotaur's body was directly pierced and dissolved by the golden light. A large amount of black mist surged out from the Minotaur's body, and the remaining part of it began to transform into black mist as well. The black mist twisted and swirled in the air, emitting roars and wails that seemed to come from hell.
"What's happening?!" Gwen looked at this incredibly eerie scene, her eyes filled with fear. She had faced many monsters, but she had never seen anything like this. It was beyond her comprehension; the black mist appeared almost alive, twisting in the air like countless black tentacles.
"This is the aura of death!" Wanda could clearly sense the disgusting energy exuding from the black mist. "It looks like something interesting is about to happen," Hood observed, arms crossed, planning to see what would unfold next. This was his first encounter with an enemy using dark magic, even though he had studied it. However, this was drawn from the Sichuan scroll, and the branches developed later would differ.
At that moment, the black mist in the air began to solidify, its gaze growing deeper. As the black mist dissipated, a gigantic Minotaur emerged from within. However, this Minotaur was vastly different from the previous one, covered in various strange runic markings, its pure black skin shifting with bits of flesh like meat granules.
Roar!
The gigantic Minotaur, towering over ten meters tall, let out a thunderous roar. Nearby, the glass shattered from the force of its bellow. "So they actually combined to form a fusion technique?" Hood stroked his chin, smirking slightly. He had to admit, this was indeed intriguing.
"This defies the laws of nature! How is this even possible?!" For Gwen, the impact was enormous. The transformation from a bull to a humanoid monster was already incredible, and now it had changed into this. Moreover, the size of the creature completely contradicted her understanding of reality. Such a being should not exist in this world! She had clearly seen the three Minotaurs killed by Hood's laser moments ago. They had not only been revived but had transformed into something this massive!
"Is this magic?" Wanda narrowed her eyes, feeling the terrifying power contained within the fused giant Minotaur. With a roar, dark flames began to flicker across its skin. The intense heat warped the surrounding air, and the steel nearby showed signs of melting. The terrifying heat caused papers around them to spontaneously combust.
"Oh my god, what kind of monster is this?!" Gwen's eyes widened in disbelief. This was like an outright cheat. Even from dozens of meters away, she could feel the waves of heat crashing against her. It felt as though she was standing directly inside a furnace, with even the fabric of her clothes sticking to her skin.
Just as they hesitated, the gigantic Minotaur moved. It opened its mouth wide and roared, raising its right leg to stomp down fiercely. The asphalt road fractured instantly, cracks rapidly spreading towards Hood. Even more terrifyingly, flames erupted from beneath those cracks. With just one kick, the entire street erupted in flames.
"Watch out!" Gwen and Wanda cried out as they saw the cracks heading for Hood. However, Hood remained motionless, a cold smile appearing on his face. Facing the approaching cracks and the bursting flames, he slowly raised his right hand. A red light suddenly appeared across the street, enveloping it like a gigantic barrier. With a firm grip, the red light surged along the road.
At the moment the massive crack met the red light, it was as if it struck an invisible barrier. It stopped instantly, and even the flames that had followed it extinguished in an instant, dissipating completely. In the blink of an eye, all traces of fire had vanished. As a gentle breeze swept through, the previous heat felt like a dream.
"Wow! How did he do that?!" Gwen stared in astonishment at the scene on the street. "This is incredible!" Hood simply closed his hands, and the terrifying flames vanished without a trace. It was as if he had stepped out of a sci-fi movie.
"Is this the correct way to use magic?" Wanda, with her chaos magic, keenly sensed the magic fluctuations earlier, recognizing that an extremely terrifying power had covered the street, suppressing the flames, which was why they disappeared so quickly.
"I haven't used the Phoenix Force much; I'm a bit rusty." Hood had harnessed the Phoenix Force to extinguish the raging fire. The Phoenix Force could turn dust into water, water into life, and even reduce everything to dust or void.
"ROAR!" Realizing the fire had no effect, the gigantic Minotaur charged toward Hood with enormous strides. Each step cracked the ground, shaking the earth, as the flames engulfed it, charring the buildings. Even the footfalls left trails of black flames, as if they would never extinguish.
"Shut up, you're annoying!" Hood raised his hand and grasped the air, a mysterious force cracking down on the giant Minotaur's mouth, sealing it shut. Despite the Minotaur closing its mouth, it still charged forward with all its might.
"I'm done playing," Hood shook his head and waved his hand down. In an instant, the running Minotaur stopped as if trapped by an unseen force, and a flicker of fear crossed its mindless eyes. Its flesh began to turn to dust, scattering like quicksand, transforming into heaps of dirt in just a few seconds.

"Hood..." Wanda was stunned; his display was simply awe-inspiring. About to rush over to celebrate, she was interrupted.
Whoosh. Gwen, filled with excitement, dashed forward and jumped, wrapping herself around Hood. "Mr. Hood, you're just amazing!"

Wanda squinted her eyes, feeling that something was a bit off.
Wasn't she supposed to be the one holding this?
