Spider-Man A Brand New Genesis
ESKK: Here we are a new chapter let's get started.
(Start TVA Headquarters Alex's Office)
The Search for Paul had begun, and everyone was trying to find him. The guy was clearly in the universe Peter and MJ went to find the anchor being. Though as much as Alex hated to admit it Paul was needed for the time being. Paul would eventually become Bankrupt whether he knew it or not. He hid this fact from Peter because knowing Parker he'll try to save the man before that happens. Plus, the fact the TVA hated the guy for his genocidal actions played a big role in doing nothing to help the guy played a role.
His bosses upstairs however were getting a bit antsy about this entire situation. The Timeline was doomed unless they can find a new anchor being to replace Mayday or at least hold the line until she can be born. They didn't have time to wait for Maydays birth, so the TVA had to transplant an Anchor Being to fill in for the erased one. Alex hated his job; he would like nothing more then to retire to a nice island getaway. But alas he was the only one in his department that wasn't neck deep in Nick's crap, so his bosses put him on the head seat for this department.
Now his days were spent going over reports, seeing who is getting arrested, and sometimes sending the worse of the worse into the Void. Personally, Alex didn't like the whole bit of isolating those guys in the Void especially after that fiasco with Paradox and Casandra Cain. That was not a fun day for anyone since the paperwork is caused was a nightmare. Let's not forget Deadpool's request to get Blade, Gambit, Electra, and X-23 out of that place. That had to take a lot of work to find those folks timelines they can immigrate to without tampering with the Sacred Timeline or worse Glitching it. The less said about Miguel O'Hara the better.
"Any word on Spider-Man finding that Anchor Being?" Alex asked looking to his people.
"He's made contact and we think Bankrupt has as well." One of the techs said as Alex sighed in frustration.
"Great one more issue to deal with." Alex said really wanting to take a vacation. But no, the Sacred Timeline had more importance then one mans desire not to do his job. "Well at least Peter and MJ found her now we just have to hope they can convince her to come with them." Alex said knowing Peni has the most reason to leave her dead world. But how her world died may also play a factor in making her stay… after all people who feel intense guilt like this seek ways to punish themselves for it. He could only hope that Peter and Mary Jane can somehow help the girl out.
(Scene Break Peter and MJ)
After the girl had cried herself out, she had fallen asleep in Peter's arms. The Robot oddly enough had lead them to her apartment where she had made her makeshift life there. Needless to say, it was a sad sight they came upon. The scene did not paint any pleasant images because for Peter it felt like all the joy had been sucked out of it by its sole occupant.
At the moment Peter and MJ were in the living room after putting the girl to bed and her pet spider had gone to its nest. Sitting on the sofa after they took the liberty of putting the gathered supplies away, they were next to each other in tense silence.
"So… do you want to talk about it or…" Peter trailed off not sure how to go about this discussion.
Mary Jane sat with her lands interlocked before her mouth. Ever since the reveal of what Mephisto did to them to take Mayday away MJ was unlocking a whole library of lost memories she didn't know she lost. Memories of being pregnant with Mayday waiting to bring her into the world. Every moment Mary Jane had lost was being regained and for her it was painful to see the happy life she lost because of being too weak to reject Mephisto's offer way back when.
"What's there to talk about?" Mary Jane said as she felt truly guilty now and she was in pain. She thought Mayday being a stillborn was bad but now her baby never existed because of Mephisto. "I was weak, I was unfaithful, and I destroyed what we were regaining." Mary Jane said as her relations with Paul may have ensured that Mayday would lever be born.
"MJ your not weak." Peter said assuring Mary Jane that it wasn't her fault. "Mephisto." Peter began but Mary Jane cut him off.
"Its not Mephisto I'm angry at!" Mary Jane snapped as she tried to hold her emotion in check. "Its me… I'm angry at me." Mary Jane admitted as she rested her forehead against her interlocked hands. Of course, it was clear she was trying to hold back her tears over this. "Ever since I found out about Mayday the memories of what we had have been coming back to me." She said showing the pain she was in. "And maybe that's part of the reason why I stayed with Paul a part of me knew still remembered Mayday and was angry that I agreed to Mephisto's deal." Mary Jane went on as Peter moved to sit next to her.
"MJ." Peter trailed off worried for the woman he loved that he still loves.
"No, please Peter I need to say this." Mary Jane said as she then swallowed her tears for a bit longer. "When Paul and I had our kids… I told myself we were staying together for them and for mutual survival before you found us." Mary Jane said as she told her woes. "Then when they vanished when we found out they weren't real… we had no more reason to stay together." Mary Jane said but then got to it.
"But I still stuck to it… and now I think it was to punish myself." Mary Jane said as Peter saw the guilt MJ was feeling. "I was honest to god punishing myself for losing Mayday and our marriage even when I didn't remember either." Mary Jane said which got the anguish to come forth from her. "I punished myself because I left you… I got weak and left you when I knew you would have gone to the ends of the Earth and back to find me." Mary Jane said which she knew that Peter would never have stopped searching for her.
"MJ please its not your fault." Peter said trying to assure Mary Jane she was not at fault.
"IT IS MY FAULT!" Mary Jane yelled as she stood up but then began to sit back down. "It… is all my fault." She repeated and in turn the dam finally broke. "Everything that's gone wrong for you is because of me." Mary Jane wept as the tears flowed freely from her. "And now because of me we're here trying to ask a girl to live in our world to act as its anchor being." Mary Jane said as she then bitterly chuckled to this. "This may be the only good thing I've done; I mean… if we're right there is nothing left for her here." Mary Jane said but then Peter surprised her by hugging her.
"It's alright, MJ." Peter said as this caught Mary Jane by surprise. "If your to blame for the deal with Mephisto I'm just as much to blame." Peter said seeing that Mayday's loss was both of their fault. "I wanted to save Aunt May so badly and Mephisto attacked us when we were at our weakest." Peter said as he was bitter about what happened to Mayday, but he blamed himself more then he would ever blame Mary Jane. "We'll figure this out… I promise." Peter said assuring her that they will find a way and make it work.
Mary Jane sniffled a bit before she cried into Peter's arms. She cried for Mayday, she cried for the kids she lost, and most of all she cried for the life she had to give up. She may be a famous model, but she was a broken woman who lost her world. And it had all been because she made one stupid decision she made when she had been emotionally compromised.
Peter on the other hand looked around the apartment and could practically feel the emptiness left behind by what used to be a home. Looking around he felt that whoever lived in this apartment with the girl made it home. Many times, over Peter wanted a place like this with MJ but the tragedies of his life prevented all that. But after learning the truth of what had happened to him and who caused it… Peter wanted to get it all back. He wanted to have his daughter Mayday in his arms and never let her go. Hopefully, they can talk some sense into Paul before he end up doing something to royally screw himself over.
(Scene Break the next day)
Peni woke up in her bed and stared up at the silent ceiling. Peni just had a wonderful dream or at least as close to wonderful as she could get. It wasn't anything grand, but it was comforting. She and SP/DR found people other human beings who somehow survived. But waking up Peni was given the bitter reminder of what it truly was, a dream. When this happened, she used to cry because she didn't want the dream to end yet here, she was the last human girl.
She rose up with the same lackluster energy she always did. She was hungry and needed to eat breakfast. Sliding out of the bed Peni placed her feet onto the floor and rose up to begin another day of her miserable life. Making her way over to her dressed she looked at herself and noted she wasn't in her sleepwear she found to be an odd thing. As Peni looked around, she noted SP/DR was also waking up from his sleep which reminded Peni she still had her best and likely only friend left on this world.
Yet something was off, and Peni knew this was fact. She always changes into her sleepwear before going to bed. Heading to the door Peni heard movement outside her door. Grabbing the bat in her room she got ready to fight off a possible animal that managed to get inside or worse. Carefully opening the door Peni heard movement from the kitchen area which was where she heard the movements.
Carefully making her way over Peni was silent with her footsteps waiting to start swinging. She then hid behind the wall where the movement was loudest and heard what sounded like the movement of dishes. The stove was on from the sound of it as well as Peni got ready to start swinging her bat. Hearing movement coming her way Peni emerged from the wall and with a roar swung her bat only to have it easily caught.
"Wow easy there killer." Peter was heard as Peni recognized the suit he was wearing minus the mask. Now that Peter was not wearing his mask, she saw the brown haired and blue-eyed man before her.
Nearby the red-haired woman had jumped when she heard the road and had a spatula ready to act as a weapon only to see Peni and Peter standing there. The redhead sighed in relief to calm herself down over what she had seen take place.
"Hey there, did you sleep well?" The redhaired woman asked as Peni was looking between her and Peter adding in the fact, he stopped her bat swing. Peni then started touching Peter's face much to his confusion.
"Hey, I know I'm good looking but personal space please." Peter said but then Peni turned her head.
"Sorry I… I just had to be sure." Peni said apologized as she had done that to make sure Peter was in fact a real person and not another hallucination.
"Well take a seat I'm almost done making some breakfast." The woman said as Peni took the bat and made her way over to the table with some major caution. Peni was not entirely convinced that this wasn't just another one of her hallucinations born from her ever hellish isolation. Peter joined them at the table as the woman finished up cooking up their breakfast.
"I hope you don't mind we used some of your things… figured you could use a homecooked meal." Peter said as this drew Peni from her thoughts.
"Its fine." Peni said assuring Peter it was ok, but her tone had a sort of monotone to even a skeptical tone. Peter figured Peni must have been alone for a while and wasn't convinced that he and MJ were in fact real.
"Dig in." Mary Jane said sliding the plates over to Peter and Peni while she grabbed her own plate also. "Sorry if its not much but it's all you had to cook with." MJ added as Peni saw a plate of scrambled eggs and bacon in front of her. Peni began to pick at it almost on instinct not sure if she was actually eating food or just eating air.
"This is great, MJ!" Peter said with a smile as Peni noted that the woman was called MJ. However, Peni also recalled that a friend she had… well more like a crush one who had not been lucky to survive this hellscape of a world. Peter then noticed Peni wasn't eating and offered her to eat. "Come on dig in it won't kill you." Peter said and in turn Peni looked before taking a bite of her food.
"Well how is it?" Mary Jane asked curious to hear how Peni enjoyed the food.
"I don't know." Peni admitted much to Peter and MJ's shock when they heard this.
"Wait you can't taste?" Peter asked worried for the girl Alex sent them to find to be their timelines new anchor being.
"No… I haven't been able to taste much of anything… or even feel much of anything." Peni said seeing no reason to lie because if these two were hallucinations, then they would already know. Peter and MJ looked to each other having a good idea as to why Peni was like this. In cases like this the loss of the ability to taste or feel normally comes after a severe traumatizing event. This got the pair more worried for Peni then they were before if Peni can read there expressions correctly.
"How long have you been alone?" Peter suddenly asked worried for the girl.
"I don't know." Peni said showing that days just blend together for her that she stopped caring for them.
"What happened here?" MJ asked as she looked to Peni. "Where are all the people?" MJ asked and in turn Peni stopped eating her food freezing up at those words.
"They're… they're gone… all gone." Peni said holding back the dam that were her emotions when it came to this particular subject.
"How?" Peter asked being reminded of Paul's father and his insane plan.
"Because… because of me… its my fault all my fault." Peni admitted as tears began to stream from her face again. "I didn't mean for it to happen I was just so tired… so angry…" Peni trailed off showing that the affects of what had happened had left scars deep inside the girl. Her spider crawled onto the table and rested on her hand looking to Peni with sadness knowing the young girl had lost just about everything and everyone she ever loved. Peni can still remember the day it happened the one person she had left slaughtered by that black armor, Peni ascending to god like power, and then choosing to wipe everything out in her despair.
"Sweetie please." MJ began as she put a comforting hand on Peni. "You don't have to keep talking what ever happened wasn't your fault." MJ said but then Peni glared at MJ and reacted to her.
"DON'T TOUCH ME!" Peni yelled standing and putting distance between her and the couple in her apartment. "And don't lie to me." Peni added as she looked at the two before her. "Its my fault all of it was my fault I wasn't strong enough I wasn't brave enough I let everyone here down and now I have to live on like this." Peni said showing that unlike Paul who put all the blame on his father Peni was putting all the blame on herself. "They're not coming back… and I'm just waiting for it to be my turn." Peni said showing that she wasn't living just existing at this point a walking corpse.
Peter and MJ looked at each other for a moment and had a look of concern now seeing Peni was in a very dark place. No wonder Alex had warned them in advance about her. "Maybe we should change gears." Peter said looking to Peni. "Let's start with introductions." Peter said as Peni looked at the pair before her.
"I'm… Peni… Peni Parker." Peni introduced not sure why, but she felt she had to even if these two were just hallucinations from her broken psyche.
"Peni… that's a pretty name." MJ said in a gentle supportive tone to the girl. She was carrying all this pain inside her and MJ could not help but feel remorse for the girl who had suffered so much. "My name is Mary Jane… Mary Jane Watson but everyone just calls me MJ." Mary Jane said introducing herself which caused Peni to go wide eyed at this.
"No wait Watson MJ? The only MJ I know was Milo James." Peni said looking like she was about to have a panic attack again causing Peter to step in fast.
"Wow take it easy we can explain see we're not from around here." Peter said knowing now was a good a time as any. "We're not even from this universe we're from another reality." Peter said before getting down to it. "My name is Peter Parker and in my universe I'm Spider-Man." Peter said pointing at the insignia on his suit. "And the reason we're here is because we need your help." Peter said hoping he can use Peni's sense of responsibility to get her to agree.
"My help?" Peni asked confused as to why they would want a failure like her to help them with anything.
"See our world is on a one-way ticket to destruction because… because something happened that took out our Anchor Being." Peter said not outright saying it was him and MJ who caused this by taking Mephisto's deal back then. "We have a way to save it and that's to transplant a compatible Anchor Being into our world to take the place of the one that was lost." Peter said as Peni listened to what they have to say to her. "Right now, you're the only compatible Anchor." Peter said which got Peni to pause for a moment after those words.
However, the response they were hoping for was not the one they got. "I… no just no." Peni said stepping back and turning away from the pair. "I can't leave this place." Peni said while looking away. Peter was upset by this, but MJ cut in before he could voice it.
"You can't or you won't?" MJ asked wanting a clarification.
"Both." Peni admitted much to Peter's surprise. "I caused the world to become like this… so that means this world is my punishment for failure for making the wrong choice." Peni said much to Peter and MJ's shock as it meant only one thing to them. The horrifying fact before the couple is that Peni Parker wants to die.
Peter and MJ weren't able to come up with anything to say at this moment to the suicidal girl. Even Peter was at a loss for words on what to say to the young girl. She had no one to go back to and no one she was staying for save for her pet spider.
"Please." MJ began as she could only beg at this point. "Please we need your help." MJ said but Peni looked sad and bitter.
"I can't… I'll only end up doing to your world what I did here." Peni said unable to forgive herself for what had happened. "This place is my punishment and I need to see it through." Peni said as she then grabbed her weapon from the spot next to the door. "You can… stay here if you want… I need to clear my mind." Peni said and thus she took her leave hoping that when she got back, they would realize how much of a screwup she was and go looking elsewhere for an Anchor Being a better Anchor Being then what Peni could ever be. However unaware to any of them someone was listening in on the conversation in secret.
(Later outside the building Peni)
Peni and SP/DR stepped out of the building and into the ruined streets of what was once New York. She needed to be alone to get away from those two. SP/DR was already in her father's suit, but he was giving Peni one of his looks.
"SP/DR don't start… you know I can't do it… I'm not the right fit no matter what they say." Peni said to the Spider in the mech armor suit. A few clicking sounds and flashing from the eyes said to Peni what she can hear through their mental link.
SP/DR responded with a few clicking sounds saying to Peni words to try and convince her. "No SP/DR I've already done enough damage I need to stay here so I can't hurt anyone else." Peni said but then SP/DR made a few sad clicks seeing exactly what Peni was afraid of.
'Are you afraid of hurting others… or are you just afraid of being hurt?' SP/DR asked through their mental link which got Peni to stop moving as she had no words to respond with. Peni wanted to she really wanted too but she couldn't she was dangerous to everyone around her. Now that she knows there is a multi-verse, she had to stay in this dying world so she can't destroy any other world. It was better for everyone this way keep a monster locked in its cage forevermore.
However, Peni's thoughts were interrupted by a new voice that had caught her by surprise. "Hi there are you ok?" The voice asked which made Peni panic and turn to the source of the voice.
(During all of this Paul)
Using the Jackpot bracelet Paul had managed to use a power that allowed him to listen in and see what the trio were discussing. Needless to say, he was shocked that one little girl managed to do what his he and father tried to do. Seeing this as the result did not put Paul's father in a good light or his own actions back then either. But that girl was also his only way back home and maybe if he can take her back to their universe MJ will see he's not a bad guy.
It's all Peter's fault he couldn't leave well enough alone and just move on. MJ doesn't want Peter anymore, so he needs to get over her. But look what happened somehow his sob story got those dumb time police guys of the TVA to basically arrest him for, hurting Peter's feelings, and trying to remove him on some made up story about a made-up daughter who never existed. Dammit this was his life and now Peter is stealing it from him. He had to stop this he had to save MJ and if not, at least he can save that girl from falling into Peter's web of lies.
Poor thing has already been through enough and if she is the Anchor Being that can save their world on the off chance the TVA were telling the truth then MJ will see him as a hero, and he can get his life back. Then they can cut Peter out of the picture completely and move on with their life. Maybe move out of New York to a less crazy place with far less superhero shenanigans. Yeah, hang up the Jackpot persona and if not have her become more of a smalltime heroine in a smaller city.
Paul waited for his chance to move knowing that Peni was his only way home. He needed to be careful because this girl was mentally and emotionally compromised. Still, he won't lie to the girl she deserved the whole truth especially the parts Peter and MJ refused to tell her.
"Hi there are you ok?" Paul asked and to his shock Peni pointed a rifle of all things at him causing him to raise his hand in panic. "Easy, easy I'm not going to hurt you." Paul said assuring Peni that he came in peace.
Peni gave Paul a look as she lowered her gun suspecting him to be a hallucination. "Mr. Rabin?" Peni asked surprised to see him here.
This surprised Paul when he heard this. "You know me?" Paul asked no expecting Peni Parker to know him already. But the way she got defensive did not paint a good picture in his mind.
"No wait your way to young to be him or his Granddaughter." Peni said before rubbing her eyes in frustration. "Must be another hallucination." Peni said as she began to turn and walk away until Paul stopped her.
"Wait!" Paul called out grabbing Peni's shoulder causing Peni to yell in shock at this. Paul instantly let go of her not wanting to cause a panic attack from her. "Sorry but what was this about a Rabin and a Granddaughter?" Paul asked with concern for what Peni was talking about here.
"Benjamin Rabin and his granddaughter Romella Jerry Rabin." Peni said giving Paul a raised brow. "My father stopped Benjamin from triggering this device of his that would turn him into a god at the cost of all human life on Earth." Peni said remembering the stories she heard about it… and then got reminded of the guilt she had for completing Rabins plans. "Romey's father was later arrested because of my father when he found out that he was the super villain Bankrupt that later lead to him dying in prison… Romey has hated SP/DR ever since." Peni said as Paul heard what Peni was saying.
'I became Bankrupt here?!' Paul's mind roared as he recalled what Alex said about him.
"Eventually Romey found out who I was and took up her father's tech to try and snuff me out by becoming the new Bankrupt." Peni said and in turn Paul began to get angry.
'So even my kids are being labelled as villains!?' Paul said as Peni kept going thinking Paul was another hallucination.
"She never could accept that her father was unhinged all because he had the hots for my mom." Peni said which got Paul ever angrier. "Never realized that being an unhinged enemy ran in her family until afterwards." Peni said as Paul was trying his damn hardest to keep his cool.
He began to activate the Jackpot bracelet gunning for the power of a telepath. If he can use that power, he can rewrite her memories spare her of the painful memories of how she became the last human being. It was for her own good she was going to help him get MJ back from the clutches of Parker. Besides she kind of looks like Romey now that Paul thought about it. It would be hard to pass her off as Romey but with so much craziness back home it would not be as hard as he thought it would be. This was for her own good this was so he can take his life back from that thieving bastard Parker.
"I don't know why I'm telling you this… your probably not even here." Peni said looking away from Paul ready to keep going. But then her spider sense went off causing Peni eyes to widen in sudden alertness. Turning around Peni was grabbed of the ground by SP/DR who moved away from Paul before he could enact his plan on her.
Paul was suddenly hit by the robot causing him to lose his focus and the slots to give him a different power then what he had wanted. Paul saw energy form in his hands showing that he did not get the telepathic powers he was going for. Growling to this Paul got up as Peni looked at Paul in shock as SP/DR glared at the last Rabin.
"What are you doing!?" Peni asked shocked that she was facing a real person who clearly wanted to hurt her.
"I was trying to help you save you from those painful memories give you a fresh start." Paul said as he approached Peni. "But now we need to do this the hard way." Paul said as SP/DR pushed Peni behind him and got ready to fight off Paul. With a roar Paul threw the plasma energy at Peni and SP/DR causing Peni to duck and try to run away from the scene. SP/DR covered for her but without Peni his abilities were limited.
Paul made short work of the robot as he went for Peni firing plasma after plasma hoping to corner her. SP/DR was sluggish in his movements without Peni as he tried to stop the chase. Peni ran for her life trying to put distance between herself and this crazy lunatic. But it seems in her panic Peni made a mistake which Paul took advantage of. Peni found herself cornered by Paul as the man approached her. For a moment Peni was reminded of Bankrupt II.
"Now then let's try this again." Paul said ready to enter the area Peni had been cornered in. However just as Paul was about to attack a new voice was heard coming their way. This voice was one familiar to both him and Peni right now.
"PAUL!" Peter was heard and from the sidelines Peter swung in and kicked Paul away from his destination. Paul got back up and glared when he saw that Peter had arrived. Peter was now wearing his mask showing that once more he was Spider-Man.
"Parker!?" Paul growled when he saw Spider-Man had kicked him.
"What do you think you're doing!?" Spider-Man demanded while glaring at Paul who he honestly had wanted to help against the TVA.
"What do you think?!" Paul began before pointing an accusing finger at Spider-Man. "I was trying to help her! Bring her back to our reality in the offset chance the TVA was telling the truth about our world." Paul said as he then glared at Spider-Man. "Just so I can stop you from stealing my life!" Paul yelled as Spider-Man was surprised at that last bit.
"I wasn't trying to steal anything." Spider-Man said defensively as he glared at Paul ready for a possible fight. "And MJ isn't some prize to be won!" Spider-Man added but this served to anger Paul.
"You don't deserve to say her name homewrecker!" Paul yelled and fired the plasma at the web swinger. Spider-Man then sent a web line at Paul and threw him across the ruined street to give Peni room to run for it. Seeing her chance Peni ran and was then met with Mary Jane.
"Come on sweetie we need to move." MJ said trying to get Peni out of the danger zone and to a safer location to hide in.
Meanwhile Spider-Man and Paul continued to fight as Spider-Man was already making quips against Paul. "Seriously Paul calm down for a second I'm sure if we take you back to the TVA, we can find a way to sort this out without you being sent away." Peter said trying to get Paul to calm down and listen for a change.
"Sure, the same TVA who seems to be on your side!" Paul yelled firing another plasma shot at Peter who flipped to dodge the attack. "If bringing that girl back will get MJ to see I'm not what the TVA says I am then I have nothing to worry about." Paul said as Spider-Man glared at Paul making it clear he only wanted to use Peni to get with MJ. "And if MJ want to take in that girl, we can do that she can easily pass off as Romey." Paul began but then got kicked by Spider-Man who flew in with fury in his roar.
"You know Paul for a guy who says he's not a villain your really starting to sound like one!" Spider-Man said as he flipped and landed on a ruined car. "Maybe the TVA was right about you, you are just like your father." Spider-Man said and thus Paul heard this. "Maybe we should start calling you Bankrupt if you want to keep acting like this." Spider-Man said and thus Paul roared in fury.
"I! AM! NOT! BANKRUPT!" Paul yelled and fired his most powerful plasma yet forcing Spider-Man to swing around to avoid it. Eventually the blast died down as Paul saw that the power was draining. "Wait what no what did you do!?" Paul yelled but got no answer from Spider-Man.
"Easy I ran the clock." Spider-Man said and thus Paul got webbed when he tried to run. Spider-Man pulled Paul in but acting fast Paul hit the bracelet again causing the slots to spin. But His free hand was soon webbed keeping Paul from finishing the slots. Acting fast Paul slammed the bracelet into the ground and hit a power that was just what he needed here. With the bracelet Paul phased through the webs and ran to a wall where he phased again.
"NO!" Spider-Man called but was unable to stop Paul from escaping. Paul got away again and from the looks of it was becoming unhinged. Looking back Spider-Man went to check on Mary Jane, Peni, and SP/DR praying that they were all still safe.
(Scene Break nearby Oscorp Building)
Paul was catching his breath when he arrived at the ruined Oscorp building. Catching his breath Paul was clearly upset with all that had happened. Parker got in the way again he keeps getting in his way keeping him from the happiness that he deserved. Peter Parker its always Peter Parker who tries to get between him and Mary Jane.
As Paul arrived, he saw a few items around the room, one of them being a display case of a black costume of sorts. Heading to the table he saw a few files on it and opened the first one. It was there he saw his own face and his face covered in the costume he saw in the display case.
"Paul Jeremiah Rabin AKA Bankrupt."
Seeing this and seeing the costume Paul breathing increased with his rage rising. Eventually it erupted and Paul roared in fury and began to tear apart the room he was in. He was knocking over tables, throwing chairs, and generally destroying everything in the room that wasn't nailed down. After what seemed like an eternity Paul finally stopped.
"I'm not Bankrupt I'm not a super villain." Paul growled trying to think of a new way to get Peni so MJ would take him back. Just then a synthesized chuckle was heard from the shadows.
"And what's so bad about being a super villain?" The voice asked as it sounded like a mixture of two voices. "Other then being a walking ghost?" The entity added with a sinister laugh that echoed across the empty Oscorp lab.
"Who is there?" Paul asked looking around in fear.
"A friend if you accept our offer." The voice said and thus Paul looked and saw a large figure crouching in the room from the shadows save for its glowing green eyes. "We can help you with your… Parker issue if you can help us with ours." The voice said and thus Paul glared at it wanting answers from it.
"Ok talk." Paul said willing to hear the figure out.
"Simple We both know what Peni Parker did here… and we also know that Peter Parker will stand in our way." The machine said as Paul was unnerved by it. "What we are recommending is that… perhaps you should embrace your fate but turn it into one of heroics." The machine offered showing it heard everything.
"See we can eliminate your Parker together, and with that bracelet you can turn the female into your ideal love interest and the girl into our ideal… partner." The entity said causing Paul to consider it. "Then we can return to your place of origin and become heroes a family of heroes." It said whispering honeyed lies to Paul.
"Turn Bankrupt into Lottery." Paul said as he did like the sound of that, and it would be a good way to stick it sideways to the TVA. "No, no I won't give them that satisfaction but using the bracelet to make MJ despite Peter might work." Paul said as the machine chuckled to this.
"If that is your desire so, be it." It said showing it was open to debate and changes in their deal. "So do we have a deal… partner?" The entity asked and thus Paul looked to the entity.
"First, I need to ask, what do I call you, partner?" Paul asked with a smile as light reflected off his glasses.
"We… Are… Ven#m." The machine spoke stepping out revealing itself as a mechanical version of who Paul knew to be, Venom from his world. "And if we are to cooperate you will need a suit." Ven#m said reaching for the display case and in turn destroying it to take the suit held inside it.
