The Nevira Tribe is a tribe that is said to have lived for many years. However, their number have plummeted and there is only a small handful of the people. The Neviras made their own refuge and isolated themselves from the rest of the world, but were the ones that alerted the Magic Council about Skull Legion. Now, it turns out that they are the targets of Skull Legion.

"Chief Nakaru! Chief Nakaru! We just got word that Salus has been unleashed, and it's heading it's way here!" All of the people certainly didn't like the sound of that. They all gathered around a man with dark skin a grey dreadlocks with him wearing tribal clothing and a feathery headpiece. Everyone was beginning to panic about Salus heading straight for them, but Nakaru held up his hand and got them all to be quiet.

"We must remain calm. Don't forget that the light guilds are still out there." Nakaru said. "We all were aware something like this might happen, and it's now time for destiny to be at hand. However, we must have faith in the light. We must continue to hope for the best."

"Maybe he's right. That alliance of those guilds might still be fighting."

"And Tony and Ginger are out there. With Tony's magic, they can't be hurt. We taught him everything knows."

"Yes. If we fall, we fall. However, if this enemy can still be defeated, it will all work for the best." Nakaru said. "We all knew this time would come eventually." All of the people knew about that. All they can really do is prepare for whatever fate has in store for them. 'No matter how this plays out, it's all going to come to an end. Tony, I do wish that this wouldn't fall on you when you are so young, but it can't be helped.'

Salus

Salus is moving closer and closer to the Nevira tribe. The only way to stop it might be to defeat the final members of Skull Legion. That's what Aster plans to do as he is faced with Reap. It turns out that Reap's power is telekinesis, and he's quite powerful with it. Despite that, Aster still challenges him.

"Go ahead and attack me all you want. It's not going to matter because I can stop you with just a thought." Reap said.

"Let's find out." Aster claimed. He went right at Reap with his weapons ready, but Reap pushed him back with his power once again. Aster didn't let that stop him as he kept trying to attack.

'This Reap is quite skilled with telekinesis. He can use it for offense and defense.' Celina thought as she watched. 'How is Aster going to be able to deal a decisive blow against him?' Aster tried using both his weapons against him, but Reap used his power to knock his sword out of Aster's hands. Aster tried thrusting his rapier, but Reap was able to stop that as well.

"It's pointless. Attack me all you want and..." Reap didn't finish mocking him because Aster used his bare fist and smashed it against Reap's face and he was knocked to the ground. He actually did manage to land a hit much sooner than they thought. "You... You actually managed to hit me!" He said with him quite surprised.

"I told you that everyone and every form of magic has limits and weaknesses. I already figured out yours." Aster claimed.

"What?! How could he have figured it out in such a short amount of time?!" Celina questioned.

"While you might be able to knock my weapons out of my hand and stop them, you're focusing your power on them and not my body." Aster claimed. "When you do that, it leaves you open for a direct physical attack. So, one just needs to close the distance between us."

"So what?" Reap said. He used his powers and pushed Aster back and lifted him off the ground. "As long as I have my power on you, there's nothing you can do. You can't attack me like that."

"Wrong again." Aster claimed. He focused his power into the ground and caused crystal spikes to shoot out of the ground and came right at Reap. They kept coming at him until one smashed against Reap and knocked him away with Aster freeing himself. "Earlier, when you were bashing me against the buildings, I threw a shard at you. Why did you dodge it instead of just simply stopping it with your telekinesis?" Aster brought up a good point. When Aster threw the shard, Reap moved out of the way instead of stopping it with his mind. "It's because you were focusing your power on me at the time. That right there is your weakness. You can only use your telekinesis on one target at a time."

"He can?" Celina said. She was impressed. Aster was able to figure out his enemy's major weakness so quickly.

"Even when I attacked with my spears earlier, you just simply released a burst to stop them, a wide scale of power." Aster said. "So, you can either stop my weapons and leave you wide open for a direct attack by me, or you could use your power on me and leave yourself open for a long-range attack. If I can strike in that opening, you don't stand a chance."

"You little..." Reap was excited that he got someone that could challenge him, but now he is getting annoyed that Aster is getting the best of him.

"I guess you're not as great as you think you are." Aster taunted.

"I'm not, am I?" Reap said. He used his power once again, but he wasn't using it on Aster. He was using it on one of the buildings and was able to get it to move.

"No way! He can move an entire small building?!" Celina questioned. Aster had to put an end to this, but Reap trying to move a building like that does leave him open for a direct attack. Aster charged right at him and tried to finish this, but Reap got to him first. Reap got the building to fall right on top of him. "Aster!"

"When was the last time you saw someone do that? I'm the strongest of Skull Legion." Reap boasted. "With this power, no one can hurt me, but I can hurt them all I want. After you managed to hurt me, I hurt you a whole lot more." Reap laughed thinking that finished Aster off, but Aster surprised him by bursting out of the debris and placed himself within range.

"Crystal-Make: Obsidian Broadsword!" Aster formed a massive broadsword out of obsidian and landed one clean strike against Reap. The force of the attack was quite strong that it was able to knock the wind right out of Reap and brought him down.

"Incredible..." Celina said. She had no idea just how strong Aster has really become.

"I will admit that he is powerful. An average opponent would have had a difficult time against him, so it was no wonder that he was so cocky." Aster claimed. "However, I will never allow myself to someone so callous." Celina was amazed with Aster. He really has grown from that little boy she once knew.

Maru's Team

While Aster was dealing with Reap, Maru and his team were trying to take on Master Dante. His trap did take Kagura and Rogue down, but the rest of them were still able to fight. They fought even harder when they learned that it was the last of the Neviras that they were targeting. Moving this fight inside the tower, Maru and Gin fought the best they could against Dante.

"Three-Star Formation: Orion!" Maru attacked with his three blasts of light, but Dante jumped around and avoided each of his attacks.

"Where do you think you're going?!" Gin called. He fired several magic shots, but Dante used his magic and formed a barrier to block each of those attacks.

"Come on! Get him!" Sandy cheered.

"Do you think Maru and Gin can really beat this guy?" Mary questioned.

"They might with a little help. As soon as we see an opening, we have to attack." Yukina said since she knew they had to help somehow.

"Your skills are impressive." Dante admitted. "I can see why you were asked to come here, but..." Suddenly, Dante sensed something. He could sense that Reap has been defeated. "It can't be! Even Reap has been defeated!"

"What was that? He can tell one of his own has been defeated?" Maru questioned.

"Wait. What's going on?" Gin said. He pointed right at the reverse star on Dante. They all looked and saw the star was being completed. The missing line was being filled in and made the star whole. When that happened, it began to glow an ominous purple color. "What just happened? How did that star fill in the missing piece?"

"I'm getting a bad feeling about this." Mary said. That feeling was only confirmed when Dante chuckled.

"Well, any chance you had is now gone." Dante claimed. "You should have defeated me before defeating my five followers."

"Why's that?" Maru questioned.

"You see, a long time ago, I performed a different kind of magic than what you've seen me with." Dante claimed. "I'm capable of using take over magic. Take Over: Satan Soul."

"Take over magic? Satan Soul? What is that?" Mary questioned.

"It's magic that allows someone to take over the body of another entity. In doing so, they gain that entity's powers and abilities." Yukina explained. "Satan Soul is one of the forms of that type of magic that is tied to...demons."

"But there was a slight problem." Dante said. "I managed to gain control over the power, but there was too much power. I was able to gain control, but I couldn't revert back to my human form. Now, you just released all the power I had sealed away." He dropped his staff and dark power completely enveloped around him. They all couldn't believe their eyes as they watched him transform. Demon-like wine red armor formed over his body, even covering the guild emblem he had on his back. He also had black wings grow right out of his back with his eyes becoming an ominous red. The change might have been minor, but his dark power was much stronger than before.

"He had that power sealed away?!" Maru said.

"That means that up until now, he hasn't been fighting at full strength!" Gin claimed.

"That's right. This power is so grand that I wasn't able to return to my human state, but I was able to stay in control of it." Dante said. "In order for me to revert back to my human form, I had to seal some of the power away. That's what the star on me was about. It was a body-link spell."

"Body-link?!" Maru said.

"That's right. The other five members of Skull Legion each held a piece of the seal using body-link magic." Dante explained. "By defeating each one of them, you unlocked a piece of the seal. If you had defeated me before this, you wouldn't be in this situation right now. Now that all of this power has been unleashed, you can't defeat me."

"This can't be for real. If the magic power was so great as you say, you wouldn't be able to be in control." Gin claimed. "When a wizard of that magic tries to take over an entity that's power is much stronger than the wizard themself, they lose control of their own body."

"I don't think it's a bluff. Can you feel that magic power?" Yukina said with her getting a little nervous. "That would normally be the case, but he's somehow still in control despite all that power."

"So, rather than beating Skull Legion, we were helping him awaken his true power." Sandy said as everything they've done up until now was beginning to backfire on them.

"So what?!" Gin said as he took aim. "If you knew our guild, you would know that we never back down from a challenge." He fired a couple other shots, but they all just bounced off of Dante.

"Don't say I didn't warn you." Dante claimed. All he did was hold out his arm and fired a dark blast. The blast was so powerful that it knocked Gin right into the wall.

"Gin!" Mary called.

"That's it!" Maru called. He jumped up and gathered light into his fist to attack with, but Dante grabbed it and was able to block it. Once that happened, all Dante did was poke Maru with two fingers. When that happened, Maru was shot right into the ceiling and dropped to the ground. It's as if he beat both of them with very little effort.

"He... He took them both down so easily." Sandy said as he was shaking and the girls were holding each other. Between the overwhelming power, the dark feeling he was emitting, and how he looks; it was easy to be scared of what their dealing with.

'I don't know what to do. I'm so scared that I can't even move. I don't think I've ever been this scared before.' Mary thought.

'His power is terrifying. It's as if I'm looking into the deepest darkest pit imaginable. I feel like I'm surrounded by darkness and there's some sort of monster I can't see even when it's right in front of me.' Yukina thought. It only grew worse when Dante looked right at them. It was as if they couldn't see the man anymore and saw the terrifying monster he's merged with. All he did was hold out his hand and unleashed a wave of his intense power. It blasted against all three of them as a devastating force. The blast knocked them out, and it looked like they were all down and out. Dante was able to beat them so easily.

"Until I can help my fellow guildmates recover and reinitiate the seals, this power I now hold won't fade." Dante claimed. "I'll just simply have to maintain this demonic form until then. Of course, it will have to wait after the Nevira tribe is destroyed."

"Wait..." Maru tried to get back up and keep fighting.

"You still want more. Staying down would have been the smarter move, but now you'll have to miss the last of the Nevira tribe go extinct." Dante claimed.

"No..." Maru tried to stay strong, but Dante clapped his hands together and unleashed a wave of darkness that smashed against him and caused even more damage to his already weakened body. That might have been what did it. Dante turned away and left the fallen phoenixes where they were. Have Maru and his friends really failed?
