Tails here, I am surprised I'm getting this out so fast, back with chapter 8, had a lot of fun with this chapter.

Ruby, Natsu and Gajeel run out of the Guild as a Jutsu-Shiki report pops up. "Remaining Fairy Tail Members: 11." Gajeel reads, and huffs, and they see the entire town surrounded by giant Lacrima filled with incredible amounts of Lightning Magic.
"Holy Crap, Laxus, what are you thinking!?" Natsu screams, Ruby sees the other girls looking at the Thunder Palace from a Balcony, and her eye widen, seeing Bisca having requipped a Magic Sniper Rifle, and aiming at one of the Lacrima.
"Bisca, don't!" Ruby screams getting their attention, but not in time, as Bisca shoots a Lacrima at the same time, she screamed, and in the next instance, Bisca sparks and is engulfed by electricity, causing her to shriek in pain, Ruby sighs, and runs off into the town, shaking her head. (Stupid girl, did they really think the Thunder Palace would be defenseless?) She thinks, as the Jutsu-Shiki report drops down to 10, after a few minutes, Ruby runs past an alley, and sees a girl cowering, and she stops. "Hey kid, are you alright?" She asks, and the girl jolts, and looks at her, giving Ruby a better look at her, she looks 12, has long blue hair up in twin-tails and brown eyes, she's wearing a short-sleeved yellow and blue blouse and blue pants, both of which have a design similar to white feathers on them, and white ankle-tied sandals.
"No, I'm not…" The girl says, pointing at the Thunder Palace. "...why isn't the town being evacuated?" She asks, and Ruby sighs, and walks away, as the girl follows.
"Kid, do you know how many people are in Magnolia right now, if you take into account the people that live here, and the tourists here for the Harvest Festival and Fantasia Parade, it'd be a very bad idea to cause mass hysteria, if you're really worried, maybe you should get somewhere safe." Ruby says, but she shakes her head.
"I can't, my big sister and little sister are here, we got separated, because some of the commotion earlier, I was wanting to help some of the people who got hurt." The girl explains, and her eyes widen. "Oh, I'm sorry, I haven't even introduced myself, my name is Wendy Marvell." She says.
"Ruby Rose, S-Class of Fairy Tail." Ruby says.
"Oh, that's funny, my big sister sometimes talks about a girl she used to know, named Ruby Rose, oh I'm from the Cait Shelter Guild. But I'm nothing special, well, I am capable of fighting unlike most of my Guild, but my big sister Pyrrha is an S-Class, she's also our Guild's ace, she's super strong." Wendy says, shocking Ruby.
(I don't know why I'm surprised, it's a given at this point, that anyone who dies in Remnant, reincarnates into Earthland.) Ruby thinks as they continue running, though Ruby slows down a bit for Wendy. "Why are you following me anyway, I'm not exactly going on a nature hike, I'm going to confront the person behind all of this stupid commotion." She says, as her chest hurts, at the thought of the confrontation, and Wendy notices.
"To be fair, I've got a gut feeling that I'll run into my sisters if I follow you, plus despite my looks and age, I can be pretty handy in a fight." Wendy explains, obviously having some pride in her abilities. "Are you alright, Miss Ruby?" Wendy asks kindly.
"To be frank, no, the one behind all of this is Laxus, another one of our S-Classes, he's also my best friend." Ruby says, solemnly, then we see Natsu running with Happy flying behind him, when somebody calls out to them.
"Uhm, excuse me, could you help me." Natsu hears a girls voice, he stops and looks to see a girl, probably the same age as Lucy, 17, she has long, red hair, not much unlike Erza's, in a waist length pony-tail, and kind, vivid green eyes, she's wearing a black crop top under a bronze breastplate, black compression shorts, under a red-clothed armored skirt, with a metal emblem stitched on her side depicting 2 crossed swords, and thigh-length, armored boots. And then there is a cat like Happy, they have white fur, and brown eyes, wearing a frilly yellow and red dress.
"I'd like to help, but one of our Guild members is causing trouble." Natsu says, and she nods.
"I noticed, what are they doing activating a Thunder Palace, oh my names, Pyrrha Nikos, though some people recognize me more by my Alias, the Battle Goddess, and this is my youngest sister Carla." She says, and Carla nods.
"We have another sister, our middle sister if you will, as you can tell, we're not blood siblings, but she got separated." Carla says.
"Is that what you needed help with, oh and names Natsu Dragneel." Natsu says, and they nod, making him sigh. "Happy, help them find their sister." Natsu says, surprising Happy a bit, when they see a giant Jutsu-Shiki Report and projection appear in the air.
[Cana Vs Juvia]
"So this is how you forced the others to fight each other." Juvia says, solemnly.
"I'll take on whichever one of you wins." Freed says outside of the Jutsu-Shiki.
"I guess… there's no choice left." She says, resolved, as her body is turning to water.
"Juvia?" Cana says unsure.
"Freed, if one of us is defeated, you swear you will face the winner without protest?" Juvia asks.
"I never break a rule for any reason." He confirms, and Juvia smiles, seemingly rushing at Cana, only to shoot up, and bounce upwards off the Jutsu-Shiki barrier, and crashing into one of the Thunder Palace Lacrima, the projection cuts off after she's electrocuted.
"Cana Vs Juvia, Winner: Cana, Juvia unable to defend herself." Happy reads, horrified.
"Freed!" Natsu growls, as up to his wrist turn red and his fingers Sharpen, while Pyrrha and Carla look similarly horrified as Happy.
"Natsu, why did that fight project to the entire town? I thought Ruby only altered it to project in the Guildhall?" Happy asks.
(Ruby?!) Pyrrha thinks, shocked.
"Don't know, maybe when Ruby sundered the Jutsu-Shiki keeping Gajeel and I in, it jumbled it to the point it's now showing to the entire town. It coulda been an accident, Happy, after all you and I both know that if Ruby's the one to fight him, it's not going to be just a physical fight, but an emotional one, as well, since the 2 of them are so close. That's why I want to fight him, so Ruby doesn't have to go through that. Now go help the 2 of them, find their sister." Natsu orders, running off, on top of a building we see Gajeel having seen the projection
"Juvia!" Gajeel screams, horrified, and beyond pissed. "If I get my hands on Freed or Laxus, I'm going to SNAP THEIR NECK!" He growls, jumping to another building, back with Happy, Pyrrha and Carla, Happy picks Pyrrha up, and they fly over the town looking for Wendy
"Miss Pyrrha, who do I need to be looking out for?" Happy asks, looking around.
"My little sister, Wendy, she has long blue hair in twin-tails and brown eyes. Can I ask you 2 questions?" Pyrrha asks.
"Sure." He says, but the first question comes from Carla.
"Why did you seem surprised when Natsu told you to help us?" Carla asks, and Happy gains a forlorn look.
"Unlike you 3, Natsu is like my Dad, and there was a person who was like my Mom, but she died 2 years ago. Natsu is a Dragon Slayer, my Mom was his Mate Lisanna, so I'm all that's left from her, and he's very overprotective, and doesn't usually let me out of his sight." He says, sadly.
"Oh." The 2 say sadly.
"Well, second question, who's this Ruby person you and Natsu were talking about, and why doesn't Natsu want them to fight the guy causing problems?" Pyrrha asks, and Happy sighs.
"Ruby Rose, the Demon Fairy, she's one of our S-Classes, and one of the four strongest in Fairy Tail." Happy says, shocking Pyrrha beyond belief. "Well five now, with Ur in the Guild, and being considered for the title of Wizard Saint, though Ruby was as well." He mumbles.
(It can't really be Ruby can it?!) She thinks, then. shakes her head. (It's probably a girl,who has the same name, Ruby's probably living a nice and good life on Remnant, as the Greatest upcoming Huntress.) She thinks, smiling.
"And the reason Natsu doesn't want her to fight Laxus, is because her and Laxus are very close, well they're best friends, Ruby's also in love with Laxus, even if she doesn't show or express it. Natsu doesn't want Ruby fighting her best friend and the man she loves, because he's being an idiot." He explains, it's at that point that another Jutsu-Shiki report pops projects Cana fighting Freed, and straight getting destroyed, Ruby and Wendy are running towards Kardia Cathedral.
"Really, I'm surprised you thought you stood a chance against Freed, Failure." Ruby scoffs, surprising Wendy.
"That seems mean, since she's your Guildmate." Wendys says.
"I don't get along with most of my Guild, Cana and Erza, the least of them, usually because I align with Laxus, but I can't abide him using Thunder Palace." Ruby says, but gasps, when she sees Elfman and Mira appear on the projection. "Freed, if you hurt either of them I will wring your neck!" She snarls, watching him torture Elfman and it goes until Mira, for the first time in 2 years, activates her Satan Soul Take-Over, and she nearly kills Freed in her rage, but stops and returns to normal.
"This fight, this entire Game is utterly pointless." Mira says.
"Is that the arrogance of a winner, Mirajane? Finish me off…" Freed says.
"We're comrades, we're Guildmates, we laugh together, hold each other up, and walk together." She says.
"I-I don't need any of you! My only comrades are Laxus and Ruby!" He screams.
"Do you really believe that, what about Bickslow and Evergreen, I mean even Ruby can't abide what Laxus is doing, now. You had to have realized by now. I don't think there's anything wrong with depending on one person, but… …there are all sorts of people around you. And there are bonds between people that are never broken." She says, grabbing Freed's hand. "See, you just need to reach out your hand, we're that close. When people realize being alone is lonely, they become much kinder people. I think you're realizing that, yourself." She says, and Freed starts tearing up. "See, so let's have fun at next year's Harvest Festival, okay." She smiles, and Freed smiles sadly.
"Freed Vs Mirajane, Both took each other out of competition." Ruby reads. (Why did I treat Mira with such Disdain?) She wonders, confused.
"Miss Ruby, another thing popped up." Wendy says, she looks up and smirks.
"Maybe I won't have to fight Laxus, but the Cathedral is only a few yards away." Ruby says, as the projection shows Mystogan walking towards Laxus.
"Who's that?" Wendy asks. (Something about him seems familiar.) She thinks looking at the cloaked man.
"That's Mystogan, he's another of our S-CLasses, he's… comparable to Laxus." Ruby says.
[Mystogan and Laxus]
"Mystogan, I never thought you'd take part in this game." Laxus smirks.
"Game? I hardly believe forcing our Guildmates to injure each other counts as a game. Take down the Thunder Palace immediately, Laxus." Mystogan says, Wendy and Pyrrha's eyes widen.
"Though, I am happy you're here, we can finally settle those rumors, about who the strongest in Fairy Tail is, you or me." Laxus says smirking.
"I couldn't care less about that, because anyone in the Guild knows it's Gildarts." Mystogan says, and Laxus laughs.
"Not a chance, the old man's never coming back. Erza and Natsu are no go's as well, they're on their way, but they're not nearly strong enough." Laxus says.
"Erza and Natsu, weak, you've got a strange set of blinders over your eyes. But let me ask you something, you're forgetting 2 people, which is odd, since 1 is always hanging out with you. What about Ruby?" Mystogan asks, and Laxus scowls.
"Leave Ruby out of this, she has nothing to do with this, but I do get what you're saying,yeah, Ruby's the only person in the Guild I consider my equal." Laxus says, surprising Ruby, Natsu, Erza, Gajeel, Mira and Freed, but Mystogan chuckles a bit.
"Really, you say Ruby has nothing to do with this, yet you activated the Thunder Palace, do you really think she'll sit back and do nothing and let you threaten the entire city, after all…" Mystogan looks back outside the door. "...she's on her way here right now, and not far, but I admit, I cannot allow her to fight you, that'd be cruel… to both of you." He says.
"How so, we may be close, but I will not let anyone get in my way, if she opposes me, that's her choice." Laxus says, saddening Ruby, and Mystogan sighs.
"You say that, but can you really fight her, if she opposes you, after-all it's not a secret she's the only one, you consider a true friend, a bond like that isn't so easily broken." Mystogan says, and Laxus gets enraged, launching a lightning bolt at him, and Mystogan dodges.
"If she opposes me, I'll fight her!" Laxus snarls, and Mystogan pulls the staffs off his back.
"You're going to regret this Laxus! Now you're going to see Magic, you never even knew existed!" Mystogan says, resolute. (Sorry Ruby, but I can't allow you and Laxus to fight.) He thinks.
"COME ON, I'LL SHOW YOU THAT YOU'RE OUT OF YOUR LEAGUE!" Laxus yells,
"Matenro!" Mystogan chants and Ruby sees on the projection, that Laxus's eyes haze over, as Mystogan sets up a pretty powerful spell, and then Laxus breaks the illusion.
"That was pitiful, did you really think I'd fall for an illusion, Mystogan!" Laxus cackles, not noticing the 5 Magic circles stacked above him.
"Of course not, but it was long enough to trap you within my Magic, Five Layered Magic Circle: Sacred Song!" Mystogan chants.
"Who's the one who doesn't realize?" Laxus smirks, as Mystogan is blasted by a lightning bolt that erupts from under him, while Laxus is struck by a concentrated Magic Beam, sent from the stacked magic circles.
"Wow, they're both so powerful." Wendy and Pyrrha, unknowingly say at the same time, Ruby only nods.
"That's Mystogan for you; he is our most mysterious S-Class." Happy says.
"Most mysterious?" Carla questions.
"Yep, most of the Guild knows nothing about him, other than he's really strong, the only ones who know anything about him, are the Master, Laxus and Ruby." Happy explains, surprising the 2, Mystogan jumps and makes an odd hand gesture, a blast of Magic explodes from the ground, rushing at Laxus, who dodges by turning into lightning, in the air Laxus releases a bolt of lightning headed towards Mystigan, who simply seems to fade away, dodging they both appear back on the ground, and Laxus is surprised.
"Laxus, stop this!" Ruby yells, which gets Mystogan's attention.
(Damn, I hoped I could have defeated him before she got here.)" Mystogan thinks, looking back to tell her he can handle this, but is shocked.
"Wendy!?" Mystogan shouts, surprising, Wendy, Ruby, and Pyrrha, Pyrrha at the fact that Mystogan knows Wendy's name, but also seeing Ruby, the Ruby from Remnant.
(It's her, it's really Ruby!) Pyrrha thinks, Laxus points his hand at Mystogan and launches a bolt of lightning at him, but a wall of bright pink light slams down in front of him, taking the lightning bolt.
"Laxus, this fight is being projected to the entire town, I don't think revealing his face is such a good idea." Ruby says walking forward.
"Ruby, I can handle this, you should be helping with the Thunder Palace." Mystogan says.
"No, I need to be the one to handle Laxus." She says, looking down. "I could've stopped this all from happening in the first place, but I didn't, it's time I rectify my mistake." She says, looking back up, and Mystogan can see the hardened determination in her eyes, and hear it in her voice, and he sighs.
(She's made up her mind, and there's no changing it, I can tell.) He thinks, annoyed, and Laxus is annoyed and angered, launching a lightning bolt at Wendy, just to annoy Mystogan, who seems to know the girl, Mystogan and Ruby's eyes widen, Mystogan appears in front of Wendy, taking the attack to his back, while Ruby's body glows bright pink and she appears in front of Laxus, and lands a hard uppercut to his chin, throwing him into the air, she then appears above him.
"Enlightened Shadow Devil's Curse Hammer!" Ruby yells, slamming a Double Hammerfist down on him, launching him to the ground, she lands and Pyrrha watching from the projection can see her hair spiked up, her irises glowing pink and the various gold religious symbols, on the right side of her body, and the black wisp like marking on her left side.
(She's a Devil Slayer!) Pyrrha thinks, shocked.
"Damn it, I couldn't find him before Ruby!" Natsu scowls, running into a cross way, meeting up with Gray, Ur and Erza, but they also find a downed Warren.
"You're really taking those weaklings sides?" Laxus questions, monotone.
"Let's be frank, Laxus, I'm protecting Magnolia from your insanity." Ruby replies, similarly monotone. "Kid, take Mystogan and get somewhere safe." She orders, not taking her eyes off of Laxus, and Wendy grabs ahold of Mystogan and walks him out of the cathedral, the two stare at each other, as their Magics manifest, Laxus expelling Lightning around him, and Ruby has dark pink shadow tentacles writhing at her feet, while the rest of her body is radiating bright pink light, together their Magic is causing the entire town to shake.
(Ruby can manifest her Magic this powerfully?!) Pyrrha thinks shocked, as they're headed to the cathedral.
"Lightning Dragon's Iron Fist!" He snarls, appearing in front of Ruby, slamming a lightning shrouded fist into her gut, shocking everyone watching, Ruby is launched back; he then pulls an arm back that starts to spark with electricity. "Lightning Dragon's Breakdown Fist!" He slams the fist forward, and a dragon slayer magic circle appears, and a giant lightning fist launches out of it, at Ruby, who glows bright pink but isn't fast enough to dodge it, she screams in pain, landing on the ground, but she gets back up, and she appears by him.
"Demon Hunter : Devil Slicer!" Ruby yells, forming a large blade out of her magic, and slamming it across his side, creating a large gash, but he slams a sparking fist down on her, slamming her to the ground and creating a massive blast of lightning, he's then slammed in the face by her foot, making him stagger back, as she spins up, and the two glow with their respective elements and rush at each other their elemental self's slam off each other all through the Cathedral, then Laxus slams Ruby back into the Ground. "Light Devil's Ripping Whip!" She yells at the same time, tangling it around his stomach and pulling him down towards her, and head-butts him when he's close enough, they both jump back.
(Can anyone hear me?! We have an emergency, look up at the sky!) Ruby hears in her head.
(Warren, why are you using your Telepathy!?) Ruby asks.
(Oh, hey Ruby, give me a minute, everybody who's down, get up now.) Warren says, then theirs a bunch of confused chatter. (Those things in the sky are going to rain down destruction on everything! All of them without exception are going to attack the town, they're Laxus's Magic, they're going to go off in 15 minutes, we need to band together and destroy them, Erza, Gray, Ur and Natsu are already readying spells for different sections!) Warren explains.
(Erza's okay, does that mean the girls are okay?) Jet and Droy ask.
(Yeah, you can thank Ur for that.) Mira says.
(The only girl really hurt is Juvia, who refused to fight me and took herself out with one of those Lacrima; she really wanted to be accepted as part of the Guild.) Cana says.
(Bisca's hurt as well Cana, stupid girl shot one of the Thunder Palace Lacrima's) Ruby says.
(Those Lacrima in the sky are protected by Organic Link Magic.) Warren explains more, but then there's a bunch of angry chattering and griping from people who got took out, to the people who took them out, pissing Ruby off.
(What the fuck is wrong with all of you, you are Fairy Tail Mages, are you all really going to allow Laxus's stupid insurrection, to shatter the bond's you've all made with each other!? IF YOU ALL WANT SOMEONE TO BE ANGRY AT, SOMEONE TO BLAME, THEN YOU CAN ALL LOOK AT ME! I could've stopped this all from happening, but I didn't, I was content to let this happen, until Laxus used Thunder Palace.) Ruby snaps, and in the next minute a Jutsu-Shiki report, pops up about all of the Lacrima being destroyed. "See that Laxus, the guild is not as weak as we thought it was, please stop this; don't dig yourself any further into this hole!" She pleads, not seeing his shocked look that warps into pure anger.
"I can't afford to hold back anymore, not even against you!" He growls, his Magic spikes practically tripling, as lightning sparks around him and his body bulks up quite a bit, his shirt tears away, and what looks almost like scales appear on his arms, and he appears in front of her and knee's her in the face, pulling his arms up into a double hammer fist, writhing with lightning magic. "Lightning Dragon's Jaw!" He snarls, slamming his fist down on Ruby slamming her into the ground, he jumps back and sticks his hand in the air, pooling his magic into a giant ball of lightning. "Resounding through the Air… the Roar of Thunder… Plunge from the Heaven… and Reap Destruction! RAGING BOLT!" He chants and slams his hand down, causing the giant ball to slam down on her; those watching all hear her screams of pain.
"Ruby!" Everyone yells.
"Mister Happy, I know most of the Guild just put them self out of commission, to stop the Thunder Palace, but where is your Guild Master, Master Makarov, isn't he a Wizard Saint?" Pyrrha asks, and Happy sighs.
"Ruby sundered the Jutsu-Shiki that kept Natsu and Gajeel trapped, and it also had Gramps trapped, there's no doubt he'd be taking Laxus on, if he was healthy." Happy says.
"If he was healthy?" Carla questions.
"The Master collapsed, when he learned of the Thunder Palace's activation, the stress of this entire situation, all of his 'children' being forced to fight each other, the Thunder Palace was a tipping point, and his body couldn't handle the stress anymore." He explains, shocking them.
"So you're telling me, the rest of the Guild, is currently incapacitated, and the only person currently able to take on a Rogue S-Class, is a 15 year old?!" Pyrrha asks, baffled.
"Aye, but you shouldn't underestimate Ruby; it's a bad idea, and knowing her, she's about to have a comeback at any moment." He says with a hundred percent certainty and faith, and smiling, and Pyrrha looks back at the projection, surprised.
(Maybe he's right, this Ruby I'm watching, is so far beyond the Ruby I remember from Remnant, her personality is so different, her strength is on an entirely different level, I can only imagine how proud Yang would be if she could see Ruby now.) Pyrrha thinks, smiling.
"Opposing me was a bad idea Ruby, I know all of your skills and abilities, there's nothing you can do, that I don't know about!" Laxus cackles, but she chuckles, getting up with some difficulty, the both of them are in bad shape, both covered in cuts and bruises, Ruby covered in burns from his lightning, and Laxus with the large gash in his side.
"Maybe, but that's a 2 way street, I also know everything you're capable of, I know about every single spell you know, I've never beaten you before, I know that, but I've never had a reason to." Ruby says, as her Devil Slayer Marks Glow, she pulls her Head back breathing deeply and Laxus does the same.
"Enlightened Shadow Devil's Rage/Lightning Dragon's Roar!" They both yell, Ruby releasing her Dual tone pink beam, and Laxus a beam of lightning, the breathe attacks collide, and Ruby is being steadily pushed back, but no one notices her Requip a Lacrima to her hand, they all see Laxus's breathe attack win out, and pulverize through Ruby's, blowing up a bunch of dust, that when clears, everyone watching is horrified to see, Ruby's nowhere to be seen, especially Levy who just got there panting in exhaustion.
"L-Laxus, how could you, that was Ruby, she was the person who cared the most about you, how could you just kill her like that!?" Levy yells, tearing up.
"Levy huh, what are you doing here, someone like you can't oppose me?" Laxus asks, but not looking at her, only looking at the spot Ruby was at just a few seconds ago, with wide eyes as his heart is hurting, and he grips his chest.
"It's the master, your grandfather …he's close to death!" Levy screams, shocking EVERYONE in Magnolia, which makes him look at her. "Please stop this, go and see the Master!" She shouts, not knowing that Porlyusica was able to stabilize Makarov, who are both watching the projection, Levy is horrified, when all he does is chuckle.
"So the old coot is about to die, perfect timing, I'll just start from scratch! I'll rebuild the Guild into one that never loses, one that'll make everyone shudder in fear, THE WORLD'S STRONGEST GUILD!" He cackles, when they feel Ruby's Magic reappear but now it's equal to, if not surpassed Laxus's, Laxus and Levy look back, to see a dark pink shadow portal on the ground.
{Fairy Tail OST – Dragon Force}
Ruby is rising from it, but now she's in Devil's Fury, there are now 2 small horns that curl up, 10 wings, they're a little bit bigger than last time, the right wings are still white feathers, but now there are some black feathers, her Sclera are black while her iris and pupil are pink, and the normally black part of her hair is white and the red tips are blue.
"What!?" Laxus says, angry, but… happy at the same time, which confuses him, in this moment.
"Ruby!" Everyone screams, happy.
"So, Ruby really is fighting Laxus, I'm sorry my Child, if only I hadn't given out, you wouldn't have to be burdened with this task." Makarov says, tearing up, Ruby appears, in front of Laxus kicking him in the chest, launching him back, he rights himself and creates a massive amount of lightning between his hands.
"Lightning Dragon's Heavenward Halberd!" He yells, launching a large halberd made of lightning at her, she doesn't dodge it and takes it full on, when the dust clears she's standing there, scuffed up a lot more, but nothing the worse for wear, shocking everyone watching, and she appears in front of him again.
"Light Devil's Cursed Coven!" She says, monotone, landing a multitude of punches to his chest. "Shadow Devil's Hex Coven!" She says, pummeling him with a ton of heavy kicks, slamming him to the floor with the final kick. "Enlightened Shadow Devil's Maledictive Coven!" She says, slamming both hands down on him, releasing a massive explosion of dual toned, bright and dark pink magic, she stands up and glides back a bit, as Laxus kicks up, he jumps back a bit, and pulls a fist back as his magic spikes immensely, it starts crackling with lightning, Ruby's Magic spikes as well, she holds her right hand up, as it glows bright and dark pink. "Light of the Son… Shadow of the Daughter… Eclipse of the Forsaken!" She chants, as Laxus rushes at her, and slams his fist at her, but to his shock, she catches it with her other hand, and she's engulfed by lightning, but short of the spasm and twitching of her face, she seems almost unaffected, and she slams her right palm into his stomach, making him spit up some blood, even pushing him of the ground a bit, as he's engulfed by a massive blast of her magic, he's propelled and slammed into the roof of the cathedral, which makes him spit out some more blood, he then falls back to the ground, he growls, slowly getting up, and breathing heavily.
"NO, I WILL NOT LOSE, NOT TO ANYONE!" Laxus yells, enrage, taking a stance that shocks everyone.
"Impossible!?" Makarov shouts, looking at the projection, seeing the bright ball of Light Magic, between his hands.
"I SHOULD'VE DONE THIS FROM THE START, I'LL JUST WIPE EVERYONE OUT MYSELF, I INVOKE FAIRY LAW!" He rages, slamming his palms together, crushing the ball of light, engulfing the town in light, when it dies down, he's smiling and cackling, until he sees Ruby and Levy unharmed. "How, why isn't anybody dead?!" He screams.
(Warren can you hear me, is anybody dead?) Ruby asks, and after a few seconds, she hears a bunch of chattering.
(No, not one person in the Guild was killed, or in the town.) Warren says, and Ruby smiles.
"What, why are smiling, are you mocking me, Ruby!" He snarls.
"Of course not, Laxus I was there, when you were learning Fairy Law, have you forgotten, you cannot lie to that spell, you may be angry, you may see the guild, as your enemy, but your heart sure doesn't, the strongest factor for Fairy Law, is the fact of your heart has to see your enemy, as an enemy. As much as you'll hate to hear it, you have the same heart as Makarov. There is one last important factor, you're not taking into account." Ruby says, taking the same stance he was just in, shocking everyone as well, creating a ball of light between her hands, there is one difference, her light ball is pink, though considering her magic, it's not that big of a shock. "Laxus, I'll give you till the count of three, to back down, please, One." Ruby says, this shocks Makarov, but he smiles.
"Back down, as if, I will not stop, until the Guild is mine!" Laxus yells.
"Two." She says.
"No, nothing about me is like the old man, I am Laxus Dreyar, and I'll make my own name, known across the world!" He rages, and Ruby sighs tearing up a bit.
"Three, I Invoke Fairy Law." She says, clasping her hands together, but instead of the town being engulfed in a bright pink light only the Cathedral is engulfed in the light, when the light dies down, everyone is shocked, seeing a pale Laxus unconscious on the floor, Ruby is staring solemnly, as the projection cuts out, and everyone sees it.
"Ruby Vs Laxus, Winner : Ruby." Makarov reads, proud of her, then sighs sadly, considering the last thing he heard when he collapsed. 'Master, what do I do?' He remembers Ruby whimpering.
"That was amazing Ruby!" Levy yells running over to her, as she releases Devil's Fury, but is worried when Ruby falls to her knees. "Ruby!?" Levy yells, getting to her, only to sigh sadly, seeing Ruby crying.
"Why did you have to be so stubborn, Laxus?" Ruby whimpers.
"Ruby, how did you defeat Laxus, with Fairy Law when his didn't work?" Levy asks, curious.
"Because, unlike Laxus, I used it for its true intention, Fairy Law, is not a combat based magic, but a deterrent based magic, it's used to deter further harm, and yes… I could never see Laxus as an enemy, but I can wish no further harm on anyone from the depths of my heart, so my Fairy Law still worked, as intended, because I wanted to stop this fight without any further fighting." Ruby explains, and Levy nods, understanding.
(It always amazes me how mature she is… but she's still a kid.) Levy thinks, seeing her tears.
"That was well said, Ruby." Mystogan says, hobbling in, with the help of Wendy, as well as Happy, Pyrrha and Carla, Mystogan walks over and picks Laxus up.
"That was amazing Miss Ruby, I've never met a Devil Slayer, and I've only ever seen big sis demonstrate that much power!" Wendy says, amazed, making Pyrrha giggle.
"Let's be fair here, Wendy, I think the Demon Fairy, is just a bit stronger than I am." Pyrrha says, shocking Wendy and Carla.
"Really, I mean you're called the Battle Goddess for a reason, Pyrrha." Carla says, which shocks Ruby.
(Of course Pyrrha would be the Battle Goddess, it makes all too much sense.) Ruby thinks, and they all walk to the Guild, well Pyrrha, Wendy and Carla, go to their hotel. "How's your back Mystogan, you took one of Laxus's lightning bolt directly?" She asks.
"It's fine, Wendy healed it, she's a Sky Dragon Slayer, so she used some of the healing Magic she's capable of, and healed it." Mystogan explains, shocking Levy and Ruby.
"So that kid is the Sky Maiden." She says, and Mystogan nods.
"You might have a fan now; Wendy seemed so amazed watching you fight on the projection." Mystogan says, and Ruby huffs. "What's the huff about, she recognizes your skill Ruby, have you ever stopped to think about it, look at the facts, you are the youngest S-Class in all of Fiore, and not counting Wizard Saints, you're in the top 5 strongest in Fiore, you beat Laxus, Fairy Law or not, you still beat him, that officially makes you the second strongest in the Guild now, and probably the same spot in all of Fiore, again, not taking into account Wizard Saints." He says, but she shakes her head.
"I think Ur is stronger than me." She says.
"Yes, but she is being considered for the position of Wizard Saint, you aren't, least not now, since you felt you weren't ready, and nominated, but I really think you will be one eventually." He says, which makes her smile.
"Mystogan, how do you know that girl?" Levy asks, and he sighs.
"I met Wendy and Pyrrha before I joined the Guild 7 years ago." He says.
"Do they know your face?" Ruby asks, and he nods, next morning we're in the Guild, everyone is chattering when Laxus comes in, covered in bandages, especially around his side.
"What are you doing here!?" Some of them yell.
"Where's Gramps?" Laxus asks, and Ruby can tell he's much calmer.
"Do you really…" A random member goes to yell.
"He's in the clinic, being checked by Porlyusica." Ruby says, monotone, with her own bandages, though far less, even though she was involved in the hardest fight, the rest see, Laxus's eyes widen, breathing through his teeth.
"Well, guess I have to face the music, and face Granny." Laxus says, walking towards the clinic, and Ruby sighs.
(I don't like alcohol, but I really wish I could get some right now, …I wonder if this is how Uncle Qrow always felt.) Ruby thinks, and then starts thinking of something, getting annoyed by the clamoring of the guild.
"They sure are noisy." Laxus says, leaning against the wall, only to be slapped by Porlyusica, which he just takes.
"You know what you did; look me in the eye, boy." Porlyusica says, and he looks her in the eyes. "A Guild is a place where you can make friends, gather with them and where you get jobs. And it's a family for those who don't or didn't have any, like I was!" She yells, and he looks down.
"Guilds don't belong to any single person; it's made up of the trust and integrity of every individual. And more than anything else, it's the bonds between them all. You broke that trust and bond, well except for 4, and threatened the lives of your Guild mates, that isn't something that can be overlooked." Makarov says.
"I know that." Laxus says, looking him in the eye. "I just… wanted to make a stronger Guild." He says, and Makarov sighs, getting out of the bed.
"Can't you lighten up a bit, if you did, you would see what you couldn't before, hear it now. Life is more fun than the way you're living it. You know… I lived to watch the way you grew up, you didn't need to be strong or be the strongest; you could've been the biggest embarrassment for all I care… but as long as you were full of energy… that was all I was hoping for. Laxus, you are Excommunicated!" Makarov yells.
"Yeah, thanks for putting up with me, Gramps… but what about the others, Ever, Freed, Bickslow…" Laxus says.
"And Ruby, I know she knew this was all going to happen beforehand, yeah she could've told us, but I do respect her loyalty, and I know it was not easy for her, to not say anything about it, but it was even harder for her to fight against you, considering her feelings for you, I think she's been punished enough." Makarov says, and Laxus looks down.
"Well, please don't be angry at the Tribe then, they were just following me, I'll take everything on myself." Laxus says, and Makarov nods, looking away.
"Take care of yourself Gramps, Granny." Laxus says, walking away.
"Get out!" Makarov yells, crying, as Laxus walks back out to the main hall to see everyone looking at him.
"What happened in there?" Mira asks.
"I've been Excommunicated." Laxus says, and Ruby trembles a bit.
"Laxus, catch." Ruby says, throwing something, he catches the object, causing his and everyone's eyes widen, seeing the satchel that holds her Crystal ball.
"Ruby, you can't!" Laxus yells.
"Laxus, I think you need her more than me right now." Ruby says.
"Ruby." Cana says.
"What?" Ruby asks, and everyone can tell, she's in an even worse mood than usual, and Cana knows this could go pretty bad for her, and sighs.
"Ruby, I was there yesterday when Master gave out, I saw you pull that Crystal Ball out, asked it what to do… and you called it Mom." Cana says, surprising those who didn't already know, and Ruby practically snarls, scaring Cana, when Laxus places a hand on her shoulder, and Ruby calms down, and stands there thinking.
"12 years ago, when my village was destroyed, and I was taken in by Aunt Lilith and Uncle Lucifer, before Lilith left the village, she actually kept my Mom from truly dying, my Crystal Ball has my mother's soul in it." Ruby explains, shocking everyone, but it finally makes sense to everyone, who didn't already know, why Ruby was always so overprotective of the Crystal Ball. "You've helped me so much, Laxus, I think it's time I help you, and you need her help." She says, and shocking everyone, Laxus hugs Ruby.
"You already have, and thanks for setting me straight, squirt." Laxus says, and leaves, the next day Natsu and Happy are walking to the Guild when they run into Pyrrha, Wendy and Carla.
"Oh, hey, how's it going, I guess Happy helped you find your sister the other day?" Natsu asks, and they nod.
"Yeah, this is my little sister Wendy." Pyrrha says.
"Mister Natsu, do you know where Miss Ruby is?" Wendy asks.
"Why?" Happy asks.
"Well, Wendy wants to talk to her new Role Model." Pyrrha giggles. "And there's a… sort of serious matter I'd like to talk to her about." She says.
"Is it alright if I ask what this matter is?" Natsu asks, and Pyrrha nods.
"Of course, I say it's serious, but it's really more of an inquiry. It's very rare for a person to remember their Past Life, I do, but… I want to talk to Ruby, because I remember her from my past life, the only difference is her eyes, they were both silver. I just want to know if she remembers her Past Life like I do, or not." She explains, and Natsu looks shocked for a bit, but then sighs.
"You're a little too late, Ruby took an S-Class job yesterday, a few hours before the Fantasia Parade." He explains.
"Wait, she took an S-Class job the day of the parade?" Carla asks, surprised.
"Yeah, not really a surprise to us, she's never participated in the parade, says it's a waste of time. And… well, after Laxus's Excommunication, she's not been in the best of moods, might not be a good time for your little sister to see her until she cools off." He explains.
"Natsu, Ruby's default emotion is being cold; she's practically a block of Ice now." Happy says, with his usual lack of tact, shocking Pyrrha.
(What has happened to you Ruby?) Pyrrha thinks. "Sorry Wendy, but well, at least you can still talk to Natsu and Gajeel, about your Magic." She says, and Wendy nods, but Natsu can tell she was really looking forward to talking to Ruby.
"What would she have to talk to Gajeel and I about?" Natsu asks.
"Well, Wendy is a Dragon Slayer, the Sky Dragon Slayer." Carla says.
"Ah, you're the Sky Maiden, well let's go find Gajeel then." He says, as they walk towards the Guild.
