Hours later, I flew close to Goron Island, only to be caught in a whirlwind and blown away and barely caught myself in the air before crashing into the water.
"Look, Llyra! Over there!" Midna said, getting Linkette to grow her back, and pointing at a flying monster. "That must be the monster that caused that whirlwind. You fly around it, and I'll use a cannon construct to blast it."
With that, Midna made said construct, one of witch, endedd up landing directly on top of me. By the Goddesses, dit it really hurt! But, luckily for my overwelming gratitude, the blasted thing was not heavy enough to full-on kill me. Thank the Triforce for that! In fact, the giant metal canon was just heavy enough, and within my weight limit so I was just barly able to keep a stedy hold on the darn thing. I flew around as Midna shot it it had three eyes on each side and each eye had to be hit twice, while I dodged it's attacks, but we did it. Afterwards I flew over to Goron Island and collapsed on the dock and Linkette grew her, Midna, Saria, and Luna along with Ciela, Ember, and Kone back to normal size.
"You okay?" Saria asked.
"She's fine." Midna said. "She's just tired. She flew a long way, then had to fly around a monster with the cannon on her back."
"Don't remind me." Linkette groaned, "That cannon almost squished us when you made it.
"Sorry." Midna said sheepishly.
"Well, let's let Llyra sleep." Luna said. "We can teleport back to her once we find the pure metal, or at least a dungeon."
"Good idea," Saria said, using her plant magic to make a nest woven from soft grasses and pliable vines and setting me in it as I went to sleep.
A couple more hours later: I am woken up by Midna as I take my human form again and she warps us to the temple.
"Alright, so, Gongoron is in here." Luna says. "He is supposed to be showing us where the Pure Metal is, and he ran in here."
"We'll likely find him in the boss room." I said thinking.
"Well, there is a set of stairs right there." Midna pointed before floating us over the hole to the other side where Linkette hit a switch that made a bridge to where we came from before we went down the stairs, and then down another set. We then headed east and found an Enemy none of us have seen before, but it looked squishy so Linkette shrunk it down and stomped on it. Afterwards we floated across another hole to a door down. And found the Boss door immediately to the left.
"Well, that was easy." I said as Linkette used the Magical Key to open it.
"We went down every staircase we found." Midna said as we headed past the door, down the stairs and into the boss area. "And the bosses of dungeons are often found at the bottom floor if it goes down, or the top floor if it goes up."
Inside we found Dongorongo, Armored Lizard, and Midna floated us across the quicksand river to fight it.
As soon as we landed, Dongorongo roared and stomped toward us, shaking the ground. I turned into my Golden Seagull form as Midna and the others got to work below, vines wrapping around the beast's legs slowing it down as it had to pause to use fire to break them while Midna summoned a large cannon construct to fire at it.
The blast struck Dongorongo, revealing a glowing weak point on its back. The beast let out a pained roar, thrashing even harder as the vines got bigger. Below, Linkette, Saria, and Luna suddenly glowed and merged into a single person. I nearly faltered midair—what just happened? The new girl, carrying the Master Sword, sprinted forward, jumped in the air and slashed at the exposed weak spot.
Dongorongo let out one final roar before collapsing, shaking the chamber as it hit the ground. I landed, changing back into my human form, and collected the two minutes of the Sands of Time in the Phantom Hourglass.
"What… was that?" I asked, looking at the unfamiliar girl.
Midna smirked. "Oh, that? That's Learning. The form they take when they fuse together."
"Sorry. We never showed you." Learning shrugged. "It never came up before, but before then let's go to the next room that just opened up."
Inside we found the Pure Metal, or it's true name, Crimsonine.
"I wonder where Gongoron is." Midna said looking around as Learning split back into Linkette, Saria, and Luna.
"He did say he would not accept us as." Ember said thoughtfully, "Maybe he abandoned us here?"
"Hope not." I said as Midna warped us out.
We then went back to The Goron Chief who let us keep the Crimsonine, and even gave us 200 Rupees. Afterwards we were allowed to stay in another room while the chief looked for his son, who he was not happy did not lead us to the Crimsonine.
"Um, hey, Luna?" I asked as we got ready for bed and Luna helped me into female nightclothes since I was still not used to them. "Can you tell me a little about some of your past?"
