Hell's Angel
It's chapter 4 and after a few more introductions we will finally be earth bound again. This story has been really fun to write, so much so it's bringing me back to the levels of excitement that I had in my hay day! Thank you all who have been reading and enjoying my stories.
While no one has guessed who the first girl is going to be I did have one who was close so to LaUgHiNgmaN (Guest) Good job and as for who\what Nedzu is, that is already in the works and I think everyone will like what I've cooked up.
One more quick thing, I am open to hero names for Izuku. I don't want to just use Deku and the only other idea I had involed Hazbin but that just doesn't sound right for a hero. Additionally I wanted to thank the reader Fish Girl for the idea for the quirk name and if you are alright with it I would love to use it!
And as always Please. Read Review and Enjoy!
Chapter 4: Rebirth
"Why are we just sitting here in your room?" Came a voice like a songbird, soft and melodious with just the barest hint of something unspoken.
"He asked us to wait here, where no one could listen in..." This voice was the opposite than the first. Cold and hard, scratched as though it hadn't been used in a very long time.
"No I mean why just sitting here in the dark?" Before a response could be made the door opened and allowed light to flood the room and reveal the two figures.
The first was the young woman sitting on the bed, adorned in her usual sky blue sundress and shoeless feet. Her golden hair was braided down to her back and her eyes, the same shining golden as her family, seemed to be able to pierce anything that cought her attention.
The second was the man sitting on the floor. Deathly pale and dressed head to toe in black with the only color being the slightly rusted chains that covered his jacket and restricked his movements. His hair, black as pitch, hung like a curtain over his face and left a single glowing yellow eye to peer out from the void.
These were the twins, Azrael the Archangel of Death and Michel the Archangel of Vitality.
"It's good to see you two," Gabriel said as he closed the door. Once it was closed the door was cosumed by the darkness of the room, followed shortly by every candle surrounding the group to ignite themselves and revealing that the door was no longer there.
"Why did you call us here Gabriel?" Michel asked, his form still as a stone statue.
"Can't a little brother want to come and visit his two favorite siblings?" Gabriel asked with a dissarming smile.
"Three things," Azreal said as she held up three fingers, "One, we just got back and you Know to give us a few days after to come and bother us. Two, we all know that we Aren't your favorite siblings. Three, after that little show you put on the other day you can't really fault us for thinking you're up to something."
"The fact you're asking to do it here of all places," Michel interjected as he made a slow gesture around the room, " one of the only places in all of creation that no one willingly goes dosen't really help your case either. Something has you riled up enough to want this level of privacy."
Gabriel winced, Michel didn't talk often but when he did it was cut right to the point. "There's been an... unexpected development. I just found someone who has not only the penence stare... but something stronger."
Azrael was stunned, "What could possibly... wait, you can't mean..."
"It was like looking into the eyes of both mother and father." Gabriel said, "And the one who has it is your 'Champion'."
For the first time Michel moved, his head snapped towards his sister who could only blushed and looked away. "I don't know what you're talking about, I haven't-"
"I've seen your blade in his hand Azreal," Gabriel said, his tone serious, "and I felt the heat as I handed it to him. It burned me Azreal, your blade has only ever done that one other time and it was when you were holding it."
Leaning against the wall Gabriel continued, "His name is Izuku Midoriya, he's your champion, I can't prove it but I think he might also be Father's as well," Azreal gasped as Michel narrowed his eye, "and now, he will be mine as well."
"What need do you have for a champion?" Michel asked, already having an idea of what was happening.
"Izuku is currently in hell. Can you believe it? An angel being reborn in hell... but for what we need him for he needs to be alive."
"You want us to restore him to life? Do you have any idea what that could do the world?" Azreal yelled, "What about all the damned paperwork?!"
"Not to mention what will happen when his family finds him alive and well again." Michel said.
"You had better have a damn good excuse for this!" Azreal said. Causing Gabriel to smile and begin his plan.
*Elsewhere*
The first week of training had been evenful to say the least. Vaggie was a tough instructor when it came to flying lessons and Charlie had been a great fencing teacher. A new ability made itself known when Charlie, while attempting to reposition Izuku, accidently touched the guard of the blade and majorly burned her hand.
Izuku was quick to check her over, freaking lightly over the amount of damage only for a glow the same color of his eyes coated their hands. Before all of their eyes the blacken skin and blistered muscles began mending themselves until not even a scar was left.
"Holy hell..." Vaggie said as she watched before pulling Charlie's hand to her, "How are you feeling Sweetie?"
"I... Don't know," Charlie said, just as amazed and her girlfriend, "The burn happened too fast for me to actually feel the pain then it was just tingling when Izuku healed it."
After that Izuku never used his blade and practiced his healing any chance that he got, which was a lot concidering how clumsy he was in general.
Izuku was in the process of healing Vaggie's bruised rib, something that had happened in part because of a lucky shot during combat training when the doorbell rang. Charlie heard this and excitment exploded on her face before she ran to the door.
"Hello! Welcome to the Happy Hotel! Are you ready to begin your road to redemption?" Charlie said in delight, not quite paing attention to who was on the other end of the door.
"Hardly," the voice said, "I am here looking for an Izuku Midoriya, is he here?"
Hearing his name Izuku turned his head to see who could be described as a monochromanic ballerina. She was slighly taller than Charlie with oddly large arms and her white hair done up into two large horn shapes. Her glowing red eyes reminded him of Odette-san and her ashen mocha skin was similar to her sister Clara-san.
Walking up and clearing his throat Izuku said, "E-Excuse me, I'm Izuku Midoriya. Are you by chance the mother of Odette-san?"
Carmilla was surprised by the question, according to her daughters this boy only just showed up in Hell on Extermination day and while it had been a week or so and she herself well known figure, her name really shouldn't have reached his ears yet. "I am. How did you know this?"
Izuku's analytical mind was usually a gift to the boy, both in life and in his death, but a major draw back was that many times it worked faster than his common sense could keep up with. "W-Well I've met both of your daughters. Odette-san share's your intense red eyes and Clara-san has your skin tone, add to that all three of you share lovely facial structures as well and a strong pressense."
In spite of her stone cold additude Carmilla couldn't help but smirk at the in advertant complements, this wan't helped by the fact he was unaware of Odette was behind her and now red as a cherry. "Very astute observations Mr Midoriya. I am Carmilla Carmine, the Pride rings foremost weapons dealer. As abrupt as this is I would like to have a disscussion with you."
Vaggie stepped forward and said, "I'm sorry but what bussiness do you have with Izuku?" Although nothing had happen as of yet anytime Izuku was outside she was on edge, she had no idea if anyone had seen what he had done to the Exterminators but she didn't like the idea of some random overlord trying to use him.
Carmilla didn't like the tone that the girl was making but she didn't let it show. She knew full well why she was protective of the boy and Carmilla would be lying if she said the thought hadn't crossed her mind but it wasn't why she was here. "I've come to give the boy my thanks as well as clear my debt to him."
"You don't owe me anything," Izuku said, "I didn't save her because I wanted anything. It was the right thing to do."
"I understand your feelings on the matter Mr Midoriya, how ever I dissagree." Carmilla said, "I'm afriad that is not how I and my family do things. I will not be indebted to anyone, even if they do not see it as a debt."
While Charlie was about to step in and say something Izuku said,"I understand, I'll go make some tea. Charlie-san, can we use the dining room?"
"Sure Izuku, but are you sure about this?" Charlie asked seeing both Carmilla and Odette following.
"I am, although she is a lot calmer Carmilla-san is a lot like my auntie Mitsuki. She doesn't like for anyone to hold anything over her head and is too... head strong to take no for an answer."
"I can hear you two just fine," Carmilla said as she and Odette sat down, "and you can use the word 'Stubborn', I'm not one to take it as an insult." Izuku just gave a nerviouls smile before ducking into the kitchen for a few minutes before returning with the tea and a few plates of cookies and sandwiches.
"While we appappreciate the refreashments, this is a bit much." Odette said as she adressed him for the first time, though anyone who had been paying attention to her would have see her watching him flittering about the whole time.
"Nonsense, the Happy Hotel is rather far from down town and I'm sure you've had a long trip." Izuku said as he served her the tea as well as a few sandwiches. "How are you by the way? Did you make it to a safe house without any trouble?"
"We did," Odette said with a coy smile, "Though just as we made it the Exterminators began leaving. It was odd to be sure but we locked ourselves in just in case." Although she had her own theories on why that had happened Odette kept tham to herself for the time being, wanting to hear it from the horse's mouth so to speak.
"As pleasnt as this little tea party is, no offence ment Princess, I would like to get down to buissness." Camilla said before turning to Izuku who had just sat down across from her. "You stepped in to save my daughter, perhaps both if Clara had followed threw on her demand to go and look for her sister. You have my thanks for this Mr Midoriya. As such, anything that is with in my power to do so, all you need do is ask for it.
"Before that however I would like to ask you about your newly obtained weapon. may I see it?" Camilla was intrigued at the idea of a holy spear, what was usually in inert chunk of metal that just so happened to be able to hurt or kill souls, actually reshaping itself just by being placed in his palm. Seeing the hessitance in his eyes Camilla quickly said, "If you are worried about me trying to take it from you I assure you that isn't the case, I mearly with to see it."
Izuku was still unsure about pulling out his blade but still did so. "I am not worried about you trying to take it, I just don't want you to touch it. So far, anyone besides me who has tried to hold it was badly hurt or burned," Izuku said, debating whether or not to tell her about Gabriel but desided not to, "Even Lucifer-san was unable to hold it for very long."
'Something even Lucifer couldn't hold?' Camilla thought to herself as she admired the blade, gently rotating Izuku's arm so that she could see both sides, 'There's a frightening thought.' Carmilla was of two minds about this.
Part of her wanted to get Izuku to sign a soul contract with her, she could keep that kind of power close to her and more importantly out of the hands of thoughs rowdy upstarts; the fact that Odette couldn't seem to keep her eyes off the boy was a bit of a plus as well. Every mother, even one's who had been dead for a very long time, wanted to see her children settle down with someone who could protect and support them.
The other part wanted him as far from her family as he could possibly get, that kind of power drew attention from people that she really didn't want to be on the radar of. He had a sword imbued with what had to be holy fire, he was obviously an angel, and if what Odette had told her was true could send other angels running in terror with just a glance.
Pulling away, as well as ignoring the blush on his face and the glare her daughter was sending her, Camilla said, "Thank you Mr Midoriya. I hope you have thought about what it is that I can give to you."
Izuku was quiet for a moment as he gave her a searching look before asking, "You are an Overlord right?" Seeing her nod he continued, "Would you be willing to sponser or even endorse the Happy Hotel?"
Carmilla laced her fingers as she gave him a hard look, "I'm afraid I can not. I am not only an Overlord, I am high ranked among the council. My name would carry quite a bit of weight, how ever I will not put it on a cause I do not believe in. I also will not put my family or my buissness in danger for something that has little chance of succeeding. Reputation is everything in hell, it can take a lifetime to build yet be shattered in only a moment."
It was a cold rejection but Izuku had been expecting it, he could tell from the start it was going to be a hard sell. "I guessed as much but I had to ask," He said with a slighlty crooked smile, "In that case do you know of anyone who is skilled at martial arts? I need someone who can quickly teach me how to fight."
Both Camilla and Odette where taken aback by this. "Why do you need that Izuku?" Odette asked, "With your sword and that stare surely you would be hard pressed to find many who could stand up to you." Camilla couldn't help feel Odette was over estimating the boy but said nothing as she too was cuious.
"I can't tell you the full reason just yet." Izuku said as he pulled out his note book, which was full of his notes on himself, primarily what he could currently do and what he felt he was going to need to be able to do, "What I can tell you is that I will be helping some very important people in the near future and for that I need to be ready to defend myself and others. So please if you have anyone you know and can trust with this..."
Camilla silently took the note book and read it over, everything in it was not only do able she could push it even father. Which threw her back into her original problem, Did she want Izuku anywhere near her family? 'By "someone very important" he obviously means Lucifer but the fact that his arrival in Hell heralded what could possibly be the first retreat Heaven had ever done, meaning he might also have ties to the angels as well...'
"I will train you personally," Camilla said with some reluctance.
"You will?!" three separate people said at once, two in surprise and one in thinly veiled excitment.
"I will, on one condition," Camilla confermed before locking eyes with Izuku, ignoring the warning Odette had given to her earlier, "I want the full story. I will not put the saftey of my family at risk without a good reason, even if it costs me my pride as both an Overlord and a Carmine." Of the many damned sould that had found themselves in Hell Camilla Carmine and her daughters actually kept their real names. It was a point of pride in their lives and even more so in their death.
Izuku looked conflicted but was cut off before he could say anything by a voice from the shadows. "It's alright Izuku, she can be trusted." A chill run up and down Camilla's spine as her eyes suddenly locked on to a pair of glowing red eyes as Lucifer himself stepped forward.
'How long has he been there?!'
"Are you sure Lucifer-san?" Izuku asked, not at all surprised that he had been there. Lucifer had a talent of hiding in darkness only to pop out suddenly to scare those around him, he had gotten Izuku 15 times in the first 2 days.
"I am," Lucifer confired with his eyes never leaving Camilla's, "I've been watching all of you sense you entered the dinning room. Ms Carmine here has no interest in anything but keeping her family safe, as does her daughter. Both will be valuable in the near future, especially if they can get you into fighting shape."
After the explination, a display of his power included, Camilla found herself unable to respond. It wasn't very often that she found herself sympathizing with anyone let alone an angel who was reborn in Hell; but this boy, this Izuku Midoriya, abandoned by everyone including his own mother! Odette didn't have the same emotional restraint that her mother had and as such she walked around the table and pulled Izuku into a hug, unintentionally pushing his face into her bust.
"I will train him, Lord Lucifer," Camilla said as he claws dug into the dark wood table and somehow draining it of its color, "By the time I am threw with him, there will be no mortal that will be able to lay their hands on him."
Lucifer was pleased while both Charlie and Vaggie were releaved. Izuku pulled away from Odette and said with his voice full of gratitude, "Thank you so much Camilla-san."
"Mama."
"Excuse me?" Izuku asked, not noticing Odette pulling away.
In the blick of an eye Carmilla was before Izuku, both of her hands on his cheeks and forcing him to look her in the eyes, "So long as I will be training you, you will call me mama. That Cerda Vieja has lost any right to call you her son and as such I will take you in. To abandon your son for so stupid a reason, SHE'LL BE LUCKY IF ALL I DO IS TEAR HER WORTHLESS EYES OUT!" She continued to rant for a few more minutes but it was all in a language that Izuku didn't understand. Vaggie apparently did considering how red she was getting.
Soon enough Camilla stopped to catch her breath and Vaggie approched, "I request you train me too." Everyone was stunnded save for Camilla herself who was giving her an appraising look. "I have come to see the flaws in my fighting style. While I don't have nearly as much on the line as Izuku does, I am still the main secruity force for the hotel and as such need to be able to defend it. Please."
There was a long pause as Camilla circled Vaggie, taking everything in. "When I come for Izuku you will join us. You have one chance to prove to me that you will take it seriously. I have had suspitions about you sense the first time seeing you with Ms Morningstar. If you are than there will be much to fix."
"Thank you," was all that Vaggie could say.
*Several Months Later*
Izuku jumped away just as Camilla and Vaggie dive bombed him, sidestepping so that he would be lined up when Camilla turned on Vaggie and drove her away. Vaggie flared her newly regrown wings to gain some distance but didn't notice Odette and Clara pincering her befor pinning her to the ground, a fate Izuku shared a few minutes later with Camilla's razor shoes by his neck.
"Very good." Camilla said as she helped Izuku to his feet, "You lasted for the full hour, you still need to work on your footing but it is coming along. You as Vaggie though you are still ridgid in many of your movements."
In the last ten or so months both had lerned much more than they expected. Camilla was a harsh task master and having Odette and Clara backing her up didn't make it any easier.
Beyond that Camilla had really taken to her self appointed role as Izuku's new mother. He had learned all about how the Carmine's were a well established Cartel in somewhere called Barzil, however unlike many of the others the Carmine's never pushed drugs or people. If you heard the name Carmine, you were talking weaponry. Izuku had learned that she and her daughters had died in a terf war with an up and coming family and had been betrayed by some of her trusted advisors, who were now slaves her her refinery.
While not overly pleased Izuku had learned that it was nessicerry to protect her villiage at the time. He had grown especiall close with Odette, the two bonding over their shared intelligence and attention to detail, while he and Clara only every did target practice and horror movie marathons.
Before anything else could be said a gust of winds suddenly filled the room as a familiar guest made themselves known. "Izuku, there you are!"
Shutters suddenly covered every door and window and Camilla got into a fighting stance, instantly recognising him as an angel, "Who are you and what do you want with my boy?!"
"Your boy?"
"Gabriel-san, what are you doing here?" Izuku asked, instantly causing the threw Carmines to lock up with the same thought, 'What is an Archangel doing here?!'
Gabriel gave the boy a good look before giving him a tight hug and an uneasy smile, "It's good to see you Izuku but we must hurry, the time has come sooner than I had thought."
"The time," Izuku asked, "You're already sending me to earth? I thought it would take years." Carmilla knew what this meant, it was time for Izuku to be brought back to life. As happy as she was and knowing full well that he was coming back as he technically lived in Hell, she couldn't help but tear up a bit.
"Originally you'd be right, ideally you'd be here for a few years, but a new development has happened and several key players are in great danger right now so we're sending you topside earlier than planned. Don't worry about anything but saving everyone you can, you have my permission to go as far as you have to."
Izuku nodded as he ran off for a second to change into some battle clothes. "Is he going to be safe up there?" Camilla asked when she noticed Odette wringing her hands.
Gabriel gave the sinner woman an aprasing look, hinding how impressed he was that she was giving him the same look with more intensity, and said, "If you trained him half as well as it looks like you did, he'll be fine. However this will be just the first hurdle on his road, not part of his journey will be safe." A smirk escaped his controled facial expression as he asked, "Now what's this about Izuku being your 'Boy'?"
"That swine lost any right to call herself his mother a very long time ago," the edge in Camilla's voice actually made Gabriel flinch, a mother's wrath wasn't something even he was equiped to handle, "I have taken him in, he is my son. With luck when the time comes he might even be willing to take the name Carmine."
"Nothing would make me happier Mama," Both turned to find Izuku in a pair of black dress pants, a black button up shirt with the crimson vest and tie. The key symbol for the Happy hotel was on his breast pocket and the Carmine family crest, two long barrel revolvers surrounded by thorned vines, on his back and a pair of white gloves with a cross pattern stitched in. His long green hair was tied back and his eyes seemed to burn with rightous fury while his wings flittered before disappering, a trick Gabriel had taought him for when he was on earth again.
Odette blushed to the point of fainting while both Vaggie and Camilla approved of the look, doing everyone who helped him proud.
"I love the look Izuku," said Lucifer as he walked from the shadows again, a small box in his hands. "I hope you don't mind me just showing up but I felt my brother and had a feeling that it was time." Opening the box there was a small green gem sitting on the velvet. "This Izuku will be your ticket to and from earth, all you have to do is think of where you need to go and run your hand over it."
"I never thought I'd see the day you gave a mortal an Azmodean Crystal, Lord Lucifer." Camilla said as she watched him hand it to Izuku, who interen watched it glow before becoming an earing on his left ear.
"You'll agree that he is a special case," Lucifer laughed.
"Indeed his is. Just one more thing before I drop you where you need to go." Gabriel said as he pulled out an orb of glowing white light, "There is someone where I'm sending you that will need this, you'll know who when you see them. Call it a gift from a benifactor who wants to lay claim to a Champion of his own."
Taking the orb, as well as a big breathe, Izuk nods and says, "I'm ready."
*Earth, USJ during the attack*
Tsuyu was not having a good time right now. To be fair no one really was. Everyone in her class had been seperated. She and Shinso, the boy who replaced the ball haired perv who was transfered out day one, had just barely been able to climb onto the boat and it was only because he was able to mind control the villians into knocking themselves out that the were able to escape. The distant sounds of booms let her know that Bakugo was alive and thriving and while she didn't have the best of views Tsuyu could at least see that the mist villian was no longer at the enterance and by the looks of thing someone had gone fore help.
The worst of it was her teacher Mr Aizawa, who was currenlty a crumpled mess on the floor due to a hulking purple-black... thing. Being a Heteromorph herself Tsuyu knew that mutation quirks could drastically alter how one looks but as an Animalistic Heteromorph had instincts that while muted in normal humans, were blaring alarms that that thing wasn't normal.
"Get low, I think they're saying something." Shinso said as he lightly pulled Tsuyu down. Both strained their ears but they could only really hear one thing.
"We can just leave some bodies aroundto break his spirit!"
With those haunting words Tsuyu saw a decrepid hand reach for her with her instincts screaming so much that she failed to move on time, and as she waited for her more than likely painful death she took notice of a smell that was wildly out of place. Sulfur and brimstone.
A flash of light and gust of wind caught Shigaraki off guard a he felt something grab his wrist. "What!? Who the hell are you!?" he asked as he tried to pull his arm free. Failing that he reached over and grabbed him by his face, fully expecting him to turn to dust, only to be shocked when his eye focused on him threw his fingers.
"Begone," Was all that Shigaraki heard as he was sent flying with nothing but a palm thrust. With the amount of anger, malice, as well as raw sin in the air with so many corrupted souls in one area Izuku was feeling an over flow that would have taken him over had it not been for Odette taking him to some of her families fighting rings. He had never felt as powerful as he did right now, and it was intoxicating, but he was here for a reason and he would not be side tracked.
Tsuyu and Shinso stared in awe as a boy no older than then just threw a villian clear across the USJ with nothing but a alm thrust. Turning around they were stunned but his soft smile as he leaned down to them. "Are you two okay? Is anyone injured?" he asked.
It didn't matter that she was stunned and had no idea who this was, everything in Tsuyu was telling her to trust this man. He could save them, he would save them. "Mr Aisawa! over there next to that thing! He's really hurt and needs medical attention!"
"Tsu, what the heck?" Shinso said in horror that she had just sent an unknown tow their already downed teacher.
"We can trust him... I don't know why I know but I know we can trust him." Tsuyu said, still shaking in fear but drawn to the boy reguardless. seeing him turn and begin to walk forward she quickly said, "Wait! Who are you?"
There were a number of things he could have said in that moment, but Izuku desided to go with the honest truth. "I am a friend."
