intro sequence

The camera pans over to the edges of the forest as the contestants were waiting with some worried faces

Chris told us to meet here about half an hour ago, where is he? – asked Heather

Miss ponytail is already so eager for the challenge huh - said Jo

Shut up – said Heather

Yeah Jo – said Duncan – "Miss ponytail"? you can do better than that

How about "miss peaked-in-high-school" – said Jo

A bit long but gets the job done way better – said Duncan – good one

Confessional Jo:

Duncan is a riot, I've never met anyone who appreciates my killer zingers as much as he does

Duncan and Jo where laughing at each other's terrible jokes when Chris finally showed up

Finally – said Courtney – what was taking so long?

My bad – said Chris – i was just making sure everything was set up for today's awesome challenge, but since you guys are so eager for it, I guess I won't waste your time anymore

Chris moved towards the center as he got ready to announce the challenge

Today you guys will competing in one my favorite charallenges to design, it's the Minecraft challenge!

Lots of contestants cheered in joy

This one is an interesting one, you may be wondering why i gathered you all next to the woods, well it certainly wasn't because i wanted y'all to smell the flowers – Chris chuckled – Chef, can you do the honors?

Chef pulled a lever and an entrance towards the underground opened

As it makes up one half of the name of the game, you may figure out that mines in Minecraft are pretty important, so for today's challenge, you will all be tasked to find the exit to the mines as fast as possible, you will receive points for how much time you take in there and how many remaining team members you have by the end, the team that reaches the end earlier or with more surviving contestants wins, the other one will send someone home, you may use anything you find in the mines to help you, good luck

Chef distributed flashlights and helmets to all the contestants as they got ready to enter the caves, both teams descend into the cave, using the flashlights they where given, they can see the layout with wooden structures that looks a lot like Minecraft mineshafts, some weird noises end up spooking the more faint of heart contestants

Ok Sam, your job is to memorize the layout of the mine, in case we get lost, we need a way to backtrack – said Alejandro – use all your gaming skills.

On it! – said Sam – You picked the right guy for the job

Confessional Sam

It's nice that someone other than Dakota actually respects my mad gaming skills for a change

Confessional Alejandro

I despise people who waste their lives playing videogames… but if it helps us win, I'll tolerate it

On the side of the Phoenix:

Its better if we stick together until the end – said Zoey – Safer that way

Agreed – said Dawn – If anyone loses the group, just go back to the last place we were all together

The rest of the team nods in agreement

I'll scout ahead, make sure we don't walk into anything dangerous– said Brick

I'll go with you – said Eva imediatly

Confessional Eva

Molly's been campaigning to get me out since last episode. I need to prove I can keep my cool—no outbursts, no drama, just focus

Chef and chris where watching the screens grinning

Alright, they've had a nice and peaceful ten minutes – said Chris – I think its time we make things interesting. Right chef?

Chef smirks and pushes a big red button on a remote

A distant mechanical click echoes through the mine, followed by some weird noises and growls

Uhm did anyone else hear that? – asked Tyler stopping in his tracks

Come on, its obviously just Chris trying to mess with us – said Courtney rolling her eyes

Before anyone can respond, two shiny purple dots show in the dark, everyone freezes in place, staring directly into the pair of eyes, which causes the creature to screech as the tall and thin purely black fiend vanishes from the shadows followed by several stomps of different Minecraft mobs

It looks real enough for me – said Noah

Suddenly, a robotic creeper drops from above, flashing red as it prepares to explode

RUN! – yelled Sam

Chaos erupts as both teams scatter in different directions, as zombies and skeletons rushed towards them

That way! – yelled Noah as him and Owen rushed towards a hatch

Alejandro Sam and Heather run into a different entrance, with Scott following close behind, most of the Phoenix team manages to run together, but when Courtney and Harold are about to follow them, a spider shows up, forcing them into a different path, Duncan opens a chest and grabs an axe and a shovel the latter which he hands to Jo

Get that zombie's head! – yelled Jo as Duncan crushes it with his axe, sending metal scraps and oil around, Jo likewise makes a Shovel strike and destroys a robotic skeleton as they also progress through the cave

Confessional Duncan

That was the most fun I've had in a long time

Courtney and Harold stand in a dimly lit tunnel, torches flickering against the stone walls. The distant clanking of robotic mobs echoes through the mine

Great… just great! – said Courtney sighing with arms crossed – we got separated from our team, as if this day couldn't get worse…

We can still go back and fight them off! – said Harold adjusting his glasses – I've got mad kung fu and karate skills, I can take them on

Harold, no offense, but could you just shut up? I don't care about your dweeb hobbies, I'm trying to figure out the way towards the end of the cave.

Harold frowns, a little hurt by her words, but stays quiet, Courtney pauses, realizing something, she smirks a bit, softening her tone

Look, maybe I overreacted a bit, I mean, you had the guts to say sorry for what you did to me, maybe I should also give you another chance

Uh yeah, about that – said Harold awkwardly scratching the back of his head

But I don't know if I could possibly trust you ever again after such a thing? I mean, sure you did that to get back at Duncan, but what did I do to you up until that point?

Harold shifts uncomfortably, washed over by his guilt

Is there anything I can do for you to forgive me about that? – said Harold,

Actually, maybe there is something… - said Courtney still pretending to be emotional about the whole thing

What are you saying? – said Harold hesitantly, narrowing his eyes

An alliance, you help me get to the end, and I'll finally let the past go. No grudges, no hard feelings.

Harold looks torn, clearly conflicted, but the guilt is eating him up, after a moment, he sighs and nods

Alright, I'll trust you, but if I get burned again, I'm out

Deal – said Courtney offering her hand

They shake hands, sealing the alliance

Confessional Harold

I didn't think Courtney would be this emotional about something that happened 4 years ago, but again, she was still angry at Gwen for kissing Duncan which happened 3 years ago, either way, I do feel like the vote rigging was the one thing that I did on the program that tarnished my honor.

Confessional Courtney

Am I still salty about the whole thing, maybe a bit, did I just play up my emotions to guilt trip Harold into an alliance? Totally. You've seen my team, unless I manage to get on the good side of at least one of the people in the dork clique, I'm one of the first on the chopping block

The rest of the Phoenix team gathered near a dimly lit tunnel, catching their breath after escaping the mobs, Brick and Eva had gone ahead to scout as they said they would

Dang it – said Zoey – Courtney and Harold stayed behind

I hope they're safe – said Dawn worried

I think they'll be fine – said Tyler – if anyone can survive a cave full of monsters is those two

Molly looks around to make sure Eva and Brick are already out of sight, she leans casually against a rock wall

Look, I'm just saying… we've all seen how Eva reacts under pressure, do we really want someone that unpredictable this deep into the game?

That's a little harsh, Molly, Eva's been trying to control her temper – said Zoey frowning

Sure, for now – said Molly shrugging casually – but what happens when she snaps again? What if she really hurts someone? You know how Chris really loves to push our buttons

I mean… she is strong – said Tyler a bit nervous – but uh, yeah… she's kinda scary sometimes

Her aura has been calmer lately – said Dawn thoughtfully with closed eyes – but there's still a lot of bottled-up frustration.

Exactly, look, I respect Eva's strength, but this game isn't just about muscles – said Molly pretending to be concerned – it's about strategy and control, if we have to vote someone out, shouldn't it be the person who might explode at any moment?

As the group quietly considers this, a shadow moves behind the rocks, Eva listening just out of sight. Her hand clench into fists, breathing sharply, but forces herself to try and stay calm

Confessional Eva

Now she's rallying the team against me. Old me? I would've snapped right there and grab her by her throat proving her right. But I'm not letting her control my fate, not this time at least

Eva steps out going forward, meeting with brick

Ah there you are – said Brick – I thought you got lost on the way

Sorry brick, I was just… - said Eva trying to hold her frustration – molly's turning the team against me again on my back

Don't let it get to you cadet – said Brick firm, but encouraging – you can prove them wrong

I have to – Eva exhales heavily through her nose, forcing her fists to unclench – if I lose it now, they'll eliminate me for sure

They both go ahead to scout the area

And that was the last one – said Owen tossing a Zombie into the abyss

Noah and Owen where walking through a tunnel, their footsteps echoed against the stone walls, a faint glow of redstone torches casted eerie shadows, Noah adjust his grip to his flashlight, his eyes scanning their surroundings

We're lost in a cave – said Noah scoffing at it

At least we got rid of all those monsters that where after us - said Owen

Owen – said Noah – have you noticed most of our team are a bunch of manipulative schemers

Yeah, but at least we're having an adventure, we're in real life Minecraft – said Owen stretching his arms – this is awesome dude!

Noah stops walking, staring at Owen in disbelief

You do realize we're walking, breathing elimination fodder, right? – said Noah deadpan

What? – said Owen blinking

Look at our team. Alejandro, Heather, Duncan, Jo, Scott, they're all backstabbers and strategists, Sam's just following Alejandro like a lost puppy, and then there's us, a snarky bookworm and a walking food vacuum

Aw, c'mon dude! – said Owen slapping his belly - We're like the heart of the team!

Right – said Noah raising an eyebrow – because Heather, Alejandro and Scott are famous for keeping the heartwarming players around.

Ok, fair point – said Owen

Owen, if we don't start playing smarter we're gonna be the first ones booted once they don't need us for numbers

Well you're the brains I'll be your muscles – said Owen flexing his arm, but it jiggles instead of tensing up

Yeah sure – said Noah – Fine, then I'll do the thinking. But if I tell you to do something to keep us in the game, you have to listen. Got it?

Aye, aye captain Noah – said Owen saluting

Noah rolls his eyes but smirks slightly as he and Owen continue through the cave, the gears on his head are turning.

Alejandro, Heather and Sam move quickly through the dark tunnels, their flashlights flickering as they navigate the maze-like cave

That way! – said Sam excitedly – there's a always a shortcut in these kinds of maps, if we take the left path, we can bypass the mobs completely

See Heather? I told you we could trust him – said Alejandro smug as ever

Yeah yeah, whatever – said Heather rolling her eyes – just don't get us lost, geek

Sam grins, leading the way confidently. As predicted, they avoid a large nest of mobs, and find themselves near the exit

Okay… - Heather says – this one time I will admit that was impressive

Told ya – said Sam smug – years of dungeon crawling in RPGs paid off!

Where's Scott? – asked Alejandro – you two go ahead, I'll see if I can find him

Sam shrugged and lead heather out of the cave, Alejandro stays back, he gets to the entrance of the shortcut and kicks the wooden beam holding the structure, closing the path for the others

Wow – said Chris – I really didn't expect anyone to finish the challenge this early, I guess this means the Pegasus are on the lead with 3 people

Just as near safety, a loud mechanical screech echoes behind them, Scott who had been following at a distance, suddenly gets tackled by a robotic zombie

Uh, guys? A little help here? – said him grunting, struggling to push it off, but nobody heared him

Scott wrestles with the robot, forced to find his own way out

Courtney stumbles through a narrow tunnel, Harold no longer in sight. She huffs in frustration

Harold, I swear, if I make it out of here, you owe me for this – she said grumbling

Suddenly, she hears rustling nearby, she spins round, using a pickaxe she found as a weapon

Who's there? – she advances only to find scott wrestling with the robot zombie

A little help here? – asked Scott

Ugh, this day just keeps getting worse – said Courtney swinging the pickaxe to destroy the zombie that was beating up Scott and helps him get up

Thanks – said Scott

A low mechanical groan echoes through the cave, they both freeze as glowing red eyes flicker in the darkness, some robotic monsters start dragging themselves towards them

Truce? – said Scott glancing at Courtney

Fine – said Courtney hesitant – just until we don't die

They break into a sprint, dodging falling rocks and robotic mobs, Scott manages to grab Courtney's wrist and yanks her behind a boulder just as a mechanical spider lunges past them

Did you just – said Courtney

You're welcome, by the way – said Scott letting go

Courtney brushes herself off, trying to act unbothered. Scott notices a small, broken piece of robot on the ground and picks it up

Huh free scrap – said Scott pocketing it

You collect garbage?

Yeah, you don't know when they will come in handy

Unbelievable

Confessional Courtney

Scott is obnoxious, messy and completely unserious, but at least he helped me, so I'll tolerate him for now.

Duncan and Jo charge through the dark tunnels, slashing through robotic zombies and skeletons. Duncan swings his axe, splitting a zombie's head in half, while Jo uses her shovel like a battering ram, sending another one flying

Man – said Duncan grinning wiping oil of his cheek – this is the most fun I've had in forever

Right? – said Jo – this should have been the whole challenge!

They keep running until they turn a corner and almost collide with Harold, who looks disoriented, but determined

Finally, something that isn't a robot – said Harold catching his breath

Ugh, never say that again – said Duncan

Harold? Where's the rest of your team? – said Jo

Got separated, but I've been managing just fine! – said Harold puffing out his chest - My elite reflexes and knowledge of strategy have kept me alive.

Of course – said Duncan mockingly - Harold the dorkassaurus taking down the robots with his mad skills

Hehe, nice one – said Jo about the nickname

I do have skills – said Harold annoyed

a deep rumbling shakes the tunnel. From the shadows, a massive horde of robotic mobs emerges—zombies, skeletons, creepers and even a hulking golem with glowing red eyes

Okay, that's a lot – said Duncan with his axe

Finally – said Jo cracking knuckles – a real fight!

Time to showcase my mad skills – said Harold picking his num-chucks

Duncan charges first, swinging his axe and cleaving a robotic zombie clean in half. Sparks fly as the metal body collapses. Jo follows up, spinning her shovel like a staff and smashing a skeleton's head into scrap metal, Harold leaps into action, spinning between enemies as he hits a spider, then spins around and slams a zombie straight in the chest, sending it toppling backward

They continue fighting, its clear Harold cant keep up that well with the punk and the gym rat in fighting

Okay uh, we might need a better plan than just smashing everything – he said breathing heavily

Come on Dweeb – said Jo striking a zombie that was about to hit Harold – since you're too weak to continue fighting, use your nerd brain to come up with something already

Harold thinks for a moment

Quick Jo, lure that creeper into that spot over there, then bait it to explode

Fine by me – said Jo doing as instructed, the creeper explodes, and a part of the ceiling falls onto a bunch of mobs, taking most of the remaining mobs at once

Okay – said Duncan as he and Jo finished off the remaining monsters - that was pretty cool, I admit it

Yeah, not bad for a dweeb – said Jo, in a weird show of appreciation

Confessional Duncan

I hate admitting it, but Harold actually pulled through. I still don't wanna hear about his 'mad skills' ever again, though.

Confessional Jo

Heh, he's a dweeb, but at least he's skilled, unlike Cameron

A montage of groups reaching the end ensues

Owen and Noah stumble out of the cave first, both of them covered in dirt and sweat

We made it! – said Owen panting – Oh man, I need a snack

Yeah, what else did I think would be his priority – said Noah rolling his eyes

That's 5 points for the Pegasus right there – said Chris – and they are totally crushing the Phoenix so far

Next, Courtney and Scott push through a hidden passage, narrowly avoiding a collapsing tunnel as they emerge from the cave

Told ya, im good under pressure – said Scott smirking

Uh whatever, but yeah nice work – said Courtney – wait, how come im the only phoenix here so far and they already got 6 people out?

I dont know – said Chris – maybe Sams gamer skills just really are that great

Confessional Courtney

Maybe I really should have spent more time playing those silly games…

Not far from there, Zoey Tyler and Dawn are fighting through a small wave of enemies, Zoey shoots a creeper with her bow, Tyler destroy's a spider with a sword

The exit! – yelled Dawn as all three rushed there

Man – said Tyler panting – that was intense

The other's aren't here yet… - said Dawn worried

That's 4 points for the Phoenix – said Chris – which means we're only missing Eva Molly Brick and Harold from their team and Duncan and Jo from the Pegasus

Not far from there, still deep in the cave, Eva Brick and Molly find themselves cornered as robotic mobs flood the passage, the exit in sight, but a massive iron golem steps forward, blocking their way

We need a way to get past him – said Brick

Maybe just run – said Molly backing away

Before they can act, a small zombie riding a chicken lunges at molly, she freezes, unable to react on time, without hesitation, Eva steps in, shoving Molly out of the way and taking on the attacker itself. she slams her fist into its metal head, smashing it apart

Next time move away from it – says Eva gritting her teeth

Molly looks up stunned, Eva saved her… and didn't even yell

Brick grabs a piece of debris and hurls it at the golem, which succeeds in distracting it long enough for Eva to rush in, she delivers a powerful kick to it's leg, making it stumble

Molly, still shaken, watches Eva lead the charge. She saved her, but it doesn't mean she was going to let her stay

As the golem crashes down, Brick and Eva help Molly up and the three rush towards the final parts of the cave

Confessional Molly

Eva think's she's proven herself? That's cute, but this is about strategy, and I'm still about to make sure she goes home tonight

Jo Duncan and Harold burst out of the cave exit, panting

And that, ladies and gentleman, is how you kick butt – said Duncan

We crushed that challenge – said Jo

Actually- said Harold - if we break it down mathematically, our escape was a combination of teamwork, strategy, and…

Gosh, just take your win already and stop being a dweeb – said Jo

A horn blares, signaling the end of the challenge

And that's game, Congrats team Pegasus! Since all of your team made it, you win, it seems like you really broke that losing streak after all – said Chris – as for team Phoenix, looks like someone's taking the warp pipe of shame

Eva, Brick, and Molly stumble out of the cave, just a minute too late. Eva clenches her fists, knowing what this meant

later, in a secluded part of camp, Eva corners Courtney

Look, I know I'm in trouble – said Eva gritting her teeth – and I know you like making deals, so here's one, keep me safe tonight by voting Molly, and I'll owe you big time

And what exactly "owing me" mean? – asked Courtney with an eyebrow raised and arms crossed

I'll vote with you next time – said Eva – I promise

Interesting – said Courtney – fine, I'll talk to Harold, with us plus you and brick it will at least tie, and then you can beat her in any tie breaker they make you do

Deal – said Eva, relieved

At the game awards ceremony, Chris smirks as he holds up the final bag

And the last person safe is…

He pauses as both eva and molly looked nervous, building the tension

Molly – said Chris tossing the bag to her – Eva, you're out

Eva stands up, clenching her fists, turning to Courtney with a sharp glare

I thought you had my back – said Eva furiously

I tried Eva, but I guess the team had already made up their minds

Eva narrows her eyes, then looks at Brick before going

Thanks for believing in me – said Eva, before jumping into the warp pipe of shame

Confessional Brick

She deserved another chance, and I should've fought harder

Confessional Courtney

Did I want Eva gone? Not particularly, but now that I have captain dork on my side, I don't need her alliance

The remaining contestants are lounging in front of the sleeping arrangements, relieved that the elimination is over. Owen is roasting a marshmallow, Courtney is smugly polishing her nails, and Brick is still looking a bit dejected over Eva's departure

Sup dudes – said Chris sipping a smoothie – nothing like a peaceful night under the stars am I right?

Trailing behind him, Ezekiel is carrying a tray with another smoothie, wearing an oversized uniform, he looks exhausted but still manages to keep up

H-here's another smoothie sir

There's a beat of silence as everyone processes what they're seeing, then…

Uh, why is Zeke here, and why is he dressed like a butler? – asked Jo

Yeah – asked Noah raising an eyebrow – did I miss the episode where that happened?

Ezekiel – asked Dawn – what did he do to you?

Oh yeah – said Chris unbothered – he's back as my intern

The contestant react with a mixture of confusion amusement and concern

So wait – said Scott snickering – you actually made him one of the poor suckers who work behind the scenes? That's hilarious!

How is this even legal – said Courtney with her arms crossed

Easy – said Chris holding a contract like the ultimate trump card – the fine print says he can't sure the show while he's on it, buuut, it never says e has to be competing, so welcome back Zeke

Confessional: Ezekiel
So, like, I was all ready to head home, eh? But then Chris hands me this paper and says it's just some 'exit paperwork.' I ain't a lawyer or nothin', so I just signed it. Next thing I know, I'm wearin' this dumb intern outfit and servin' him smoothies! Turns out, the paper said I agreed to stay on as an intern—unpaid! And since I'm 'still on the show,' my folks still can't sue! Like, what kinda scam is that, eh?!

At least I get to see Dawn again, otherwise I'd be out of here
