The Doctor and Princess have returned to the Tibetan monastery, Det-Sen, but far from a friendly welcome awaits them. Instead, savage Yeti stalk the land, and a Professor Travers wants them out of his way. But the Princess can sense something worse. Something powerful, and intelligent, as well as an incessant beeping. What has been happening at Det-Sen in their absence?
