So, I'm back, glad you guys liked the inclusion of Ada Wong, and no I'm not adding her to the pairing cause I've already established it to be Naruto Jade and Tori. So I'm not going to switch it up cause that's not my thing unlike how certain authors Do.
The sound of a hand saw could be heard and the sounds of banging a nail into wood were too.
"Hey Ada?"
"Yeah Naruto?"
He took off the glasses to protect him from the wood getting in his eyes "isn't this a bit extra instead of having a backdrop?"
They both Looked at what they made "nahhh don't we have the Helm of a boat in storage."
"Yeah you're right. Well back to it" He said as they both continued their work.
"Woah man what do we have here?" André said walking in. "As you can see we are building some set pieces for this play that Sikowitz Had given me and Ada to do."
"I see, I see but why build when we have the stuff in the back." André said, walking up to the stage inspecting the work.
"Yeah about that, it's worn out. Tattered And Torn."
"So we're basically doing this shit from scratch." Ada added. "What do guys think of the small bar table?" She asked.
Both Naruto and André were impressed. "Wow we started two days ago and you already finished it sheesh."
"Yup. Thankfully enough I've had some experience with this due to doing odd jobs but what can I say, I'm just glad that I can move on to another one." She went over and grabbed the drill from Naruto's tool belt. "Hey, I was going to use that soon."
"Yeah keyword soon, why don't you go over to Wendy's and put my fries in the bag dude"
Suddenly a Loud sound was heard Causing The lights to go out, and shriek was let out by André. "Sorry"
"Hey André where did you go?"
"Go jump off a bridge and hang yourself."
The doors barged With Sikowitz Having a headlamp with the light turned on "is everyone alright here?"
"Other than the lights going off. I'd say we're pretty good" Naruto responded "Yeah what he said but what caused this to happen?" André asked.
Sikowitz rubbed his head "it seems that the students in the black box theater have caused this outage, don't know how but it seems like we aren't going to have power."
"So are we dismissed?" Ada said, jumping off the stage. But was quickly dismissed "unfortunately no" Sikowitz got a rag and wiped His starting To sweat head.
"The school wants us to complete the hours for the day so we have to stay put for the time being."
"Well that sucks now how are we supposed to finish the sets so the people can start rehearsals?" Naruto said
Sikowitz just shrugged "Don't shrug!" Both Naruto and Ada yelled at sikowitz "Jesus no need to yell."
"You planned it, you coconut junkie!"
"OK! I get it, I'll see if I can ask the board to push it back a bit. But in the meantime keep yourselves entertained" He said walking out the auditorium.
"Well what'd you think the others are doing?" Andrè Asked Naruto to which he shrugged "beats me dude I just hope Jades is safe at whatever she's doing. But other than that it's a mystery."
"Do you guys really Want to be in this heat of a school or Do you actually wanna do something?"
"It doesn't really matter to me André?
"Uh I don't know I barely know Ada and I don't wanna get in trouble."
Naruto put a hand on Andrés Shoulder "what are supposed to do in a blackout setting the cliche play games in the dark and tell deep dark secrets until someone confesses their love? That type of doing something?"
"Yeah fuck this let's bail."
"That's the spirit now let's go have some fun shall we?" He said hoping off the stage and walking out the auditorium soon they ran into Jade and she was using a Small Flashlight Keychain to see. "Where are you guys going?"
"Leaving you coming?" Naruto asked
She shrugged, "Yeah, I have nothing else to do."
The group made it to the main Hallway and opened the main entrance only To be greeted by Sikowitz "you see next time try to be more how do I say it quiet" He said walking in the building "so we can't leave at all?"
"You try working as a teacher and soon you'll understand."
"Bu-" André was cut off by Jade with a simple shake of her head.
"So we're stuck here for the remainder of the day, so what should we do?"
"Hey you do realize no power equals no cameras." Ada simply replied, causing them to simply just leave the building.
Once they did that Naruto got In his car and decided to drive home but decided to get something to eat first. So he Went on and stopped by a taco truck which reluctantly enough Tori was there with a plate of tacos.
"What Is a Puerto Rican doing eating tacos?"
"Well you heard that the school has a blackout so I came here also I can eat tacos dumbass just because I'm Puerto Rican doesn't Mean I Can't enjoy tacos."
"Fair point, how Much were those anyway?" He pointed at the tacos. "Oh these, let me order some for you."
"No No it's alright I'll pay honestly."
"Gracias. y Salsa Verde por favor." Tori asked, "see no problem let me help you out gringo."
"First off I know Spanish and second the fact that you ordered it without a beverage is insane."
"Yeah, check your other hand buddy."
Naruto looked at his left hand to see a glass bottle of coke. "Huh, would you look at that?"
He walked and stood by his car in which Tori followed "Hey put that green sauce on my tacos please while I open my coke."
"Yeah no problem." She said as she put the Sauce on said tacos. "So I Thought you and Ada were setting up the play."
"We were." He took the coke and bit into his taco "but you know there was a power outage so we could do it which led to me being here." Naruto explained as he was eating.
"Geez at least say it when your mouth is not full."
"Sorry"
"No it's okay really. But how are you feeling? Is it a bit spicy for you?"
"No, not really." He replied "but what kind of meat is this because it's really good?" He asked as he wiped a bit from his mouth. "Oh then you are in for a treat the next time we come here."
"Am I?"
"Yup cause then you'll try a sauce even hotter than that One there." She said, Both laughed at that.
Then Naruto realized something "Hey if you're here then where's Trina?"
"She's busy currently." She sounded a bit off. "It's just why can't I drive yet, I'm learning but' Tori then turned to Naruto "Hey you can teach me too right?"
Naruto spit his coke out "Uh hUh yeah the least I'll do is teach you how to roller blade or something."
He threw The glass bottle away and the plate "well then I'll be seeing you then bye" He waved
"wait!"
He looked up to see Tori running to the passenger side "can you give me a ride?" Naruto sighed "alright fine."
"But what about Jade, don't you guys ride Together sometimes? Well yeah but it's just that her dad has been really cracking down on-"
"He doesn't like you doesn't he?"
"No he does not" he responded
"But why?, you seem like a perfect fit for her?" She asked, Naruto ran his hand through his hair. "Maybe It's the fact that I skateboard, like the same music as her and pretty much just everything but dude just doesn't like it, he just wants a bland average Joe for her."
"Wait the same dad that hates every-"
"Yup, anyway Enough of that I gotta tell you Something important."
"I-important?" She stuttered. "Yes, it's important, do you remember the aquarium you invited me to?"
Tori nodded "is he going to reject it" she thought "so it turns out they want me to work during Thanksgiving Break. And so I was wondering if it can be moved up."
She had to think her time was very limited at the moment as it was only the 22nd not to mention Halloween Was already around the corner.
"How about tomorrow?" She said Quickly. Which judging by his face caught him off Guard "Well I gotta see if I have work but I guess I can just have someone take my shift maybe let the new hire work double." he said.
"But why do that to a new hire though?"
"It's sort of a tradition for workers To lend a shift to the newbies in that circle of mine." he explained as he was letting his boss and his Coworkers know about tomorrow.
After that he went ahead and drove to take Tori home "Alright so I guess I'll see you tomorrow Then" He told her
She nodded "Yeah Tomorrow." Grabbing her bag She headed out the car and gave him a wave Goodbye. In which he gave her one in return and drove off.
"The aquarium? not that I'm complaining about it but what is there to do at an aquarium would've Picked the zoo or even Disneyland but that's out of our budget especially Big Bear." he thought suddenly his phone had rang seeing it was Jade he answered it.
"Hello?"
"Hey it's me um do you have a minute?"
"Yeah I do but I'm currently driving." He replied he heard her let out a small laugh "Alright I'll Make it quick" she said.
"Ok um would you like to come over sometime?" She asked "I know it sounds crazy cause you know He doesn't like you but it would hurt to try for him to get to know you better am I right?"
"Uh yeah totally that sounds good."
"Hey are you alright? Your voice seems kinda off?" She asked in concern. "It's nothing honestly so when is This dinner going to happen?"
"Sunday."
"Shit" was all he could think of. He took a deep breath. "Uh yeah That should be fine." He said. "All right then I'll make sure to let them know bye I love you."
"I love you too." He said as he hung up
By the time he already knew it he was already home. He just sat there in his car for a moment "I guess this is where they say I'm playing a dangerous man's game huh?" He said.
When he entered his home, Naruto just went straight to his room and turned on his Xbox 360. Going over to his shelf he pulled Out a copy of Mafia 2 but on second thought he put the game back and instead went for Gta 4 which he liked a lot especially its dlc that released a year ago. "I should probably play this again." He said popping the disc in he got his controller ready and sat down until his phone rang.
"Who Could it be now?" He muttered "Hello?
"Hey Naruto it's Alexis I was just calling to see if you can come into work? The Boss says it's mandatory." The call had then been Hung up with Naruto Just looking in space for a moment before taking a deep breath and putting his controller down.
He then stood up and shouted "FUCCCK"
"I seriously don't see why you are mad. You're making money either way." Alexis, his co-worker, told him, Naruto pinched the bridge of his nose "it's not that it's the fact that I was called when I was in the middle of something very important."
"If it's being lazy then it can wait" She said giving him the return box "now make sure these are back in the system so we can stock It." She said
"Also you really need to Play your cards right dude."
"What do you mean by that?" He asked as he marked Ocean's Eleven as returning "well I mean that brunette that came by not too long ago, you know one of your Prestigious art buddies" saying that last bit in a horrible British accent.
"Very funny, if you think anything is going on between me and her Jade would've already mutilated me by now." he said doing a slit throat expression.
"No but seriously watch out Man I'm just trying to warn you."
Naruto looked at Alexis "you make it seem as if I'm doing something Wrong."
She raised her hand and walked backwards "Ok man if you say so but don't come crying to me if you mess anything up With goth chick although you should've chosen a scene like me"
He told her to shut up and get back to work. "please like I said before your style is going out in a few years." he Then got back to the subject "besides I'm going to the aquarium with Tori tomorrow And she knows I have a girlfriend what could possibly go wrong?" He told her.
"The aquarium huh? Jesus Christ." All she could do was bury Her face in her hands after that she walked up putting her hands on his shoulders "look you're very smart and you Sure as hell ain't dense but please don't mess this up."
"Speaking from experience I guess" He gave her a smirk, she shook her head "that's not the point, but all I'm gonna do is pray for you and see if you come back alive."
"Alright alright if I say yes will you lay off my damn case?"
"Well that up to yo-"
"Yes I promise I won't mess things up." He said with a hand over his heart "that's good now you get back to work while I read this book."
"you're reading a manga and it's fucking One Piece you clearly have no life if you're going to waste your time on such nonsense you have watch bleach it's new thirteenth opening is pure heat."
"Nah too much filler."
"Hehe that's What they always say but once You watch it it'll change Your life." He said hoping She would give It a chance.
Alexis closed the Manga and looked At him seriously "I'd rather watch Fairy Tail." She said in a monotone Manner.
Something Flared up inside of Naruto "Why you little-"
"GET BACK TO WORK!"
"Yes sir!" They both said to their boss with Naruto working on the returns and Alexis with a customer.
A lady had then asked them a question "excuse Me y'all wouldn't happen to have a Taxi driver do you?
"Sorry mam we don't" Naruto said with an apologetic smile and the lady had walked out.
"You still have it don't you?"
"Yeah" he said with a sigh
Next day
Tori sprayed hairspray In her hair and continued to brush her hair. "Hey Tori don't forget that- what are you doing?" Trina had asked.
Tori saw Trina from the Mirror "Oh I'm getting ready to go to the aquarium today."
"Really? With everybody else I'm guessing." She said, Trina saw that she shook her head "no actually it's with Naruto." Tori said, putting on her earrings. Which had caused the older Vega to pause "wait J-J-Jade Boyfriend?"
"Yeah what's Wrong with that sis."
Trina got in Tori's Face "look I know you like the Guy and Everything but please don't do anything stupid that is going to destroy your relationship with them."
Tori smiled but Trina knew that smile very well "it's fine sis I already know what I'm not going to do, besides it's just a trip to the aquarium with a friend what the worst that could happen?"
"That's what they all say though" Trina thought, "look and listen closely Those two have been together since you got there so like freshman Year or something like that but don't you go on and mess it up I know I encouraged you at the mall but I'm serious Tori don't toy with people's relationships."
Tori took some steps back "easy there sis don't worry me and him and already discussed it, it's just going to be a simple Outing and that's all."
Trina sighed and smiled "okay I trust you on this and if you die I'm getting your room deal?"
"Very funny but that is never going to happen so I'll see you at the end of the day safe and sound." She then heard the honking of a horn "looks like he's here goodbye!" She smiled and ran down the stairs. Trina could only cross her arms "Yeah, she's gonna die."
Seeing his car she got in the seat "well what are you waiting for? Come on, let's go!"
"Geez someone is Excited about all this." He said leaving her house and on his way to the Aquarium. "Well I've had money saved up from some allowances in the past and now I finally get to use it." She then turned to him "oh and don't worry I got the gas money for you." She said, handing him a Twenty.
He simply waved it off "no it's okay you keep it, you don't really need to pump gas right as I put some in yesterday after my shift."
"oh okay, well if you need just let me know and I'll give it to you after we leave.
"I said it's fine Tori, you really don't need to worry about it all. Just relax and enjoy the car ride on the way there."
Tori sat back and relaxed, she extended her hand to the radio, giving Naruto a glance he nodded. flipping Through the stations until she found one that she was familiar with.
102.7 KIIS FM was one of the stations that she had put on and it was one of those top 40 hits that would play songs that are popular at the moment. And it played the song cooler than me by Micheal Posner.
Which In his opinion was the most overplayed song on the radio other than runaway baby by Bruno Mars.
Other than that he just knew that he had to endure this edm or Electropop that's been on the rise recently. "I'd rather listen to the Party Rock Anthem than this man." He thought.
Aquarium
After having to find parking and paying to get into the building. He could see how Ecstatic she was "Ok Ok what Do you want to see first?" He asked
Tori grabbed His arm and led him to the stingrays "Hey watch it with the sweater it's brand new." He said pointing at his black Adidas sweater.
Once they reached it Tori put her hand in the water so she could touch the stingray "Hey take my picture." Pulling Out a Pink Kodak camera. Naruto had made sure that The Flash was off.
Handing her Camera back she took a look at the photo "it's great! Ok now your turn." She told him. Naruto rolled his right sleeve and put his hand in the water to touch the stingray. Taking the photo, Tori checked to see If it came out well and to her surprise it did.
"Man, I can't wait to put this in my photo album."
"Why a photo Album? You can Clearly use your phone to take photos." Naruto said. Tori gave him a small laugh "Yeah but at least these can last forever. Plus I don't even think you can print photos from your phone?"
"Yeah I guess you're right just take it to Walgreens cause I believe That it's cheaper than Walgreens."
"Oh I know that as long as nothing happens to my SD card then I'll Be fine."
Soon the two started to walk around to See what they could do for the day. "Hey you know I heard that the outside area has some games."
"Oh really luckily I Have some money here so we Can both use it."
"I'm pretty sure they are going to give us tickets to use." Naruto had assured her, "Well still who knows if they're gonna ask us for money, you know how these semi-carnival games are rigged For people to empty their pockets." She explained
Making their way outside it was pretty sunny with a cool breeze for the autumn season seeing that the ticket booth was open Naruto saw the prices for how many tickets he could get.
Seeing as 25 could get fifty tickets he went with that option "so what do you want to do first?" He asked.
He saw Tori in a deep thought. So he just decided for her instead "let's just do the one with balloon darts. That sounds fine with you?"
She nodded and followed his lead, giving 5 tickets to the man at the front, Naruto had Handed Her some darts. "It's four darts, two for each of us."
Naruto then turned and took a breath and threw the dart at a Yellow balloon and another at a Blue one. "Okay if you miss it you don't win so don't try to fail alright?"
"Alright you don't gotta tell me twice." She said with confidence. Aiming the dart Tori threw it only for it to miss. Trying a second Time she did it again only for her to miss again.
"Sorry, better Luck next time, Next!"
"So you failed and that's okay there are better games then this crappy balloon game."
"If you say so." She huffed
She then remembered something "Hey why not that basketball one" she pointed towards it. Naruto shrugged "I don't see why not let's go ahead and do it."
Walking to it he saw the prizes that are there to win this game. "Is she serious!?" Was all he thought when He saw what it was.
A Jamaican Banana.
"Hey, how many tickets is This?" he asked the staff Member.
"Why ten tickets Sir"
"This better be worth it." He had muttered to himself. Handing it to the staff member and in return he was handed a basketball.
"Now if you make three baskets you win."
Naruto made it for the first time. Causing Tori to clap a little, he then made it a second Time. Causing the staff member To sweat a little. Finally He made his third Basket. As the Winner! Winner! Winner! Sound played getting the attention of some folk in the area.
"Pl-please choose your prize sir." The staff member stuttered, Naruto pointed at the Jamaican Banana that was hanging.
"Thank you for playing!" Was all the member said handing the prize to Naruto.
Naruto then looked at Tori and Gave it to her "this calls for a photo!" She said with Her eyes glimmering with happiness "Hey Get in! I wanna make some memories with my friend."
He casually put his hands in his jeans and got in the photo with her "Hey Tori I just got one question for you."
"Yeah what's that?"
"Are you going to carry that thing around the whole time we are here?"
"Sorry I really am" was all he said in the gift shop that they were in "so how do these sunglasses look on me now better than before am I right?"
"They look the same as always, just a bit goofy like you." his honesty showed. Tori pouted a bit, "Well I think that they're perfect and will go with my outfit someday in the future."
"If your outfit is going to be with capris I suggest you find a new fashion sense." He put it bluntly with her. "And also" he took the color mood changing necklace from her "you don't really need this as it's very tacky even for you." He said.
"Aw come on don't say that, I think it's very good looking."
"Yeah to you."
"Don't be like that." Tori said, "Going to another part of the gift shop she showed him the many keychains "Tori I already have enough Keychains at one, what one more is going to make a difference."
"Cause this one will be special."
"Special?"
She nodded "Yeah special."
"I don't get it, what's Going to be special about keychains?"
Tori sighed and got a dolphin and a shark. "This shows how fast we've gotten To know each other over The last few months!" She said with a smile.
Naruto Took the shark from her, he had to admit she did have some taste as it was a hammerhead "Alright I'll do it"
Tori jumped a little with her tippy toes but Naruto stopped her "but you're paying for it, for making me carry this Banana Around."
"Fine" She slumped Her shoulders "but-"
"No Buts do you know how many times I've had to apologize to people in this small ass gift shop? A total of 6 times, I don't want them To think that-"
"Geez quit complaining I heard you the first time."
After paying for both keychains Naruto tore the price off of it and put it with his car keys. Seeing Tori did the same with her house keys. "It's almost as if we're matching."
"Yeah I guess you can say that," Naruto said. With a small smile "speaking of dolphins you wanna go see them. I heard you can throw fish at them and they will catch it."
"Like SeaWorld?"
"I don't know if it's like SeaWorld or not but I have a feeling That it might."
The pair walked to the exhibit With the Banana in tow. Until they were met by a sign that said.
Due to unforeseen circumstances the exhibit is closed.
"Aw man and here I was ready to feed some dolphins."
"Well There's always next time." Naruto said.
"Uh, actually there won't be a next time." a worker spoke up. "And why is that ma'am?" Tori asked.
"There's Going to be some changes going on with the aquarium as we have to make room for the penguins." She said
"Penguins!?" They both said
The worker could only nod "but don't worry we're actually Moving the dolphins to someplace else so you'll still get to see them just not here."
"Do you know where though?"
She shook her head "I'm afraid not sorry. But if anything happens we'll put it on our website so people can know about it and all."
Naruto nodded "I think that's great actually doesn't sound too bad to me. What about you Tori?"
"It's whatever." She said flatly
The worker then nodded "I see well I hope the two of you enjoy the rest of your time here." She said walking away.
"Wanna see the jellyfish?"
"Yeah actually they tend to look nice especially in the dark rooms."
"Why do they glow blue?" Naruto asked. "Well Duh obviously have you not seen jellyfish before at all?" Tori said in sarcastically
"Only at the beach because I got stung once with my mom and dad but other than that no."
"Not even at the zoo?"
"Now why would I want to see aquatic animals when I can go To the fucking zoo?" He said, causing her to laugh in which he did as well. "I have to admit Naruto who Knew this could be fun with friends, well family too but mostly Friends."
"I can see why you invited me here, to be honest when you had first asked Me to come here I was internally shocked but then I kinda just brushed it off, Hey After the jellyfish you want to see the shark tunnel before we leave this place?"
"Yeah, I'd like that."
"Oh and also." He turned to Tori "You hold this, my arm is already getting tired from carrying it the majority of the time that we were here."
"HUhh?"
Jellyfish Exhibit
"Man, who knew that atolla jellyfish would look so cool in person." Naruto said. "Oh is that what they are called I had always named it after the color it Gives off."
"Tsk tsk typically Tori judging a book by its cover."
"What it's not like That seriously!"
"sure sure just look at its description it gives off its blue light in order to possibly attract or dazzle its prey- oh wait I'm wrong." He then saw the tank that was behind them, "this is the blue jellyfish. So how did they get- you know what nevermind." He said as both him and Tori looked at them.
"Never in a million years did I think I would see this many" She said in astonishment. "Yeah it's kind of crazy. If you ask me, man, seeing this many just makes you feel relaxed, don't you agree?"
"Yeah it does." She replied, pulling her pink camera out she took a photo of said jellyfish. "Hey Naruto, get in the picture." She told him to set a timer for it. She put the camera near someplace close and quickly stood next to Naruto before the timer ran out.
Once that was done she took a look to see if it had come out alright "aw man one of my eyes closed, looks like we have to take it again."
"Alright let me get ready then."
"Hey miss, if you need help taking a photo I'll help you out."
"why thank you sir!"
"No problem, just make sure your boyfriend doesn't have his hands in his pockets." Which caused her to blush "U-U-Um wait we're not like that at all sir!" but the man didn't even listen to her.
"Hey blondie why don't you get next to her and wrap your arm around her will ya?"
"Wh-What Tori. Who is this guy?"
"I don't know. but he said he'll help us retake the photo." She whispered to him "okay you two Don't leave so much space get closer."
The two just went with it, closing the space between Them "wrap your arm."
"Uh?"
"Wrap your arm like he told you." She whispered so he could hear much more clearly. Naruto grunted But followed what he was told to do.
"Okay and we're done." The man said handing back her Camera "thank you so much sir! We really appreciate it. We really do." Tori thanked him
"No worries, it's always a pleasure to help people out. Especially couples " He said "A-Again were not." But Tori quickly dismissed it as "Yeah totally."
The man then walked away with what seemed to be more people needing help. "Phew at least that's all over right Tori?"
"Y-Yeah."
"We should head to the shark tunnel, don't you agree best to end it off with seeing everything so huge huh?"
She hummed in agreement, but still couldn't fathom that weird encounter that had Just occurred. "Why did he feel the need to do all that with us, didn't he get the message I was trying to tell him, fat bastard."
Following Naruto, it had seemed that he had forgotten the whole ordeal that occurred "man that guy was weird it was as if he was trying to get me and he-" his thoughts were Cut off when Tori Had came "what do you think you're doing leaving me behind?"
"You're the one who chose to be slow and stay behind and not me so in other words and to put it in perspective this is all your fault."
"Nuh uh, don't put it all on me you just decided to walk away instead of waiting on me."
"Huh? Nah you must got someone different."
Tori gawked "stop playing dumb with me you know I'm right!"
"Ok Fine you win geez." Naruto scratched the back of his head. But for some reason the space between was close as ever and not that far apart like how it was when they had got here.
When they had gotten to their last stop both of them couldn't Help but be amazed at the many fish and few sharks that were swimming Together. Tori leaned against Naruto and put her Head against his shoulder. "You're alright Tori? Cause if there's anything on your mind You can tell me you know." Naruto rested his head on hers
" I actually do have something on my mind."
She sighed "I don't know, cause maybe you won't understand it."
Naruto smacked his lips "come on just tell me, what's so bad about it ?"
Tori lifted her head so that she would be able to face him, her eyes meeting his and the blue from the water as illuminating on their faces just like how it did with the jellyfish exhibit.
Tori then took a huge deep breath and let it out "look Naruto there's something I have to tell you and it's really important this time." She said in a very serious manner.
"here it goes no more beating around the bush you can do this." finally she had said what she wanted to say and that was.
"I Love You."
