Len's eyes widened beneath his black mask, dark gray, tear drop shaped gems around them gleaming weakly in the dim light. The ground shifted subtly as a loud, deafening roar filled his ears and the faintly shimmering black tiles moved like soft waves, giving the illusion of a large dragon awakening from a long, peaceful slumber. His shoulder harshly and jarringly bumped against the girl next him, pressing into the warmth and softness on her hoodie.

The boy regained his balance at the same time a slender arm wrapped around him, preventing his fall as the girl turned to him, eyes widening slightly in surprise under her dark blue mask. Icy blue gems highlighting her whitish silver eyes, and for a moment, Len though she was blind as her mismatched eyes met his violet and lavender.

His heart beats faster he feels a pull of familiarity, like a strange, hazy tingling at the edge of his mind and judging by the way her eyes linger on his just a little too long, she feels it to.

Both seemed unable – or unwilling – to look away as Len stood up. The mysterious, cute girl wordlessly drew away and Len found himself missing the contact.

"Thanks." Len smiled sheepishly, hand rubbing the back of his neck. He was surprised that his voice came out small and unsure. The girl giggled adorably and flash of color drew his attention to a large bright orange in her shoulder length hair, dyed pitch black and ends shimmering an alluring silver that reminded him of stars.

"You're welcome. First time here?" She asked as Len blushed softly beneath his white concealer.

"Um… yea. They were pretty serious about the 'awakened dragon' concept, huh?" She laughed delicately and Len's heart unexpectedly soared.

"Yea… my father would have worked himself to death if mom hadn't stopped him." Len's mismatched violet and lavender eyes widened once more.

"Your father worked on the building…. that's so cool!"

She smiled softly yet widely and Len wondered if her delicate looking, pale pink, rose petal lips would feel as soft as they looked. She reached a hand out, looking small and jarringly pale against the blackness.

"I'm Rin."

"I'm Len…. Len Kagamine." His felt compelled to say, unsure if he'd said the right or wrong thing as she blinked owlishly, something shifting under her mask.

"Woah, we have the same last name!"

"Wow…that's weird." Their gazes flited away as silence filled the air…but still, the sense of familiarity lingered like a storm cloud threatening to break. After talking for a while, the two noticed more eerie similarities. Both had been abandoned at age five, Rin growing up in Tokyo while Len grew up in a small, remote village on the other side of the country, and both had the same birthdays. The only thing that was shockingly different about them was which fruit was better. While Len liked Bananas, Rin preferred Oranges, practically salivating at the thought of them.

"Hello Rin…. earth to Rin!" Len waved a hand in front of her face, eyes holding a vacant, faraway stare. A soft, cool, barely noticeable breeze blew though his shoulder length, normally blonde hair, dyed black and flattened, styled to look damp and windswept like he'd been caught in a light rain. The roof was fully retracted, revealing the dark, breathtaking night sky glittering with countless weakly gleaming stars above.

In front of the large, spacious stadium, a whiteish silver LED screen burst to life, gleaming and crackling like brilliant, dying fireworks before showing a narrow, slender dragon with brightly glittering scales like flames. The fiery dragon opened its mouth, a pale fire swirled upward as the crowd cheered and the screen slowly dimmed. The fire flared briefly, fading before dying all together and revealing the lead singer. Spotlights revealing the rest of BORN as the opening notes to Sakura started.

Len's heart raced as Rin's hand slipped into her, fingers intertwining and palms pressed together in the nearly pitch black space. He could feel Rin smile widely as they danced and he was thankful for the heavy drums and general deafening loudness that masked his pounding heart.

One of Rin's eyes gleamed in the dim light, a calming, soothing…..dark blue? Len stiffened slightly, not enough for her to notice.

"Where are your contacts?" He barely heard himself. The corner of Rin's mouth pulled up in a playful, mischievous, knowing smirk, and Len wished he was in on the secret. Thankfully, he soon was.

"Magic." Rin called, voice coming loud and clear despite the near constant rumble of music.

Len's heart sped up in his chest and his breathing quickened as his widened eyes locked with Rin's. Soft, faint lights danced over her soft, porcelain cheeks, reminding him of gently fluttering petals. Smoothly flickering from shades of blue to purple to red then back again. He was only vaguely aware of his hand cupping her cheek with the slightest amount of pressure as their surroundings grew blurry and faded, the music and lyrics seeming to fade into the background.

The gap between their fragile, pale pink, rose petal lips grew shorter and shorter as they were drawn together by a strong, mysterious, unexplainable magnetic force. It was as if the air around them was alive with magic…. seeming to tremble in anticipation as their lips finally met.

They blushed softly, a hint of barely noticeable pink showing beneath their white makeup. Len pulled back slightly to look into Rin's eyes, a breathtaking shade of midnight blue that perfectly matched his own and gleamed like the stars above them. She smiled softly at him and Len had to remind himself to breathe as their lips met once more in a soft, hesitant kiss.
