Percy
It's all my fault
Percy lay back on his bed, resting his head in his hands
Dead, Ginny's dead Ginny Ginny Ginny's dead. Dead. Dead. Dead. It's my fault its all my fault dead, dead, dead, dead….
That was all he could think about, no matter how hard he tried to block those thoughts out with happy ones,
The mandrakes are ready soon…. Penny will be awake….
But that just made him feel worse. He felt a sudden urge of anger at all who were petrified, even Penny. Why did THEY get to survive while his baby sister didn't?! most of them, bar Colin, were older than Ginny. Shouldn't it be the youngest, who had the shortest life be alive and the older ones die?
Percy felt like a murderer thinking that, but then, his baby sister WAS murdered. He got a lump in his throat when he realised that, Ginny would never experience him or his other brothers graduating from Hogwarts. She HERSELF would never graduate. She'd never marry. Never have kids. The closest she got was that stupid little crush on Harry that they all teased her about.
Fuckfuckfuckfuckginnyginnyginnyginny
All these thoughts swirled around Percy's head, over and over again.
Why her? Why not me?
Percy tried hard to fight back tears. Ever since Bill and Charlie left, he had been the oldest. The comforter for when any of his siblings cried. He couldn't cry, who would be their to comfort him, then?
He wished he could've been a better brother to Ginny. He had always tried his best on her, helping her with any work she had and trying his best to make her grow up nice and sensible, always stopping her if she went off to play with Fred and George. He blushed guiltily when he thought back to this. He really should of left her to it and not interfered if she 'Wanted to be a Fred and George when I grow up' like she said when she was 6.
Why couldn't he have kept a better eye on her throughout the year? If he had then none of this would of happened! He gave up on his battle and let his tears finally fall.
Blame me. Please blame me.
Fred and George
We need you
They walked up to their dormitory. Only crying once the door was shut. They tried not to cry in front of Ron, they wanted to be brave next to their younger sibling. Youngest sibling. They both realised now. little did anyone know, Ginny was the mind of their pranks. They wouldn't ever be able to pull them off without Ginny helping, they told her all their secrets and she told them all hers, they liked to think they were her protecters. her favourite brothers.
But we didn't protect her enough
They both clutched each other, crying, what was the last thing they said to her? 'fuck off Ginny, your at Hogwarts now. You don't need to be relying on us about everything' She had been agitated, fidgeting when they said that. She was trying to tell them something important, they realised now, they thought she was asking them for help with their prank – they didn't need her to help Hogwarts. They had Lee Jorden their. Now they thought about it she was probably trying to tell them something about the chamber of secrets, maybe if the had given her a chance to say it she wouldn't be in there now. She wouldn't be dead now.
Why didn't we listen to her? Why did we use her and take her for granted?
Ron had always hated Ginny. She was mummy's little darling, never getting in trouble. He never understood why Fred and George loved her, That's because he had never seen the real side of her, When mum caught them making a prank, Ginny would snuggle up to her, saying they were doing it to make her laugh. That way never getting them in trouble. Mum always searched them when they went outside the house, searching for hidden joke products they tried to sneak out. Little did Mum know, they only carried the bad, lame ones. Ginny carried all the big ones they spent sometimes years on, Mum would never search Ginny. Though, they realized with a pang, when Ginny cried or had nightmares, they leaved awkwardly. Leaving it to Bill to do the comforting.
Why? WHY? Come back and let us say sorry.
All they wanted was their sister back. So they can plan jokes, annoy her by called her Ginevra and hug, hug, hug, her.
We'll do anything to have you back. Anything. So why aren't you coming?
They couldn't live anymore without their baby sister. How could they face going back to they burrow without their lively, dancing sister, their, the light in the house? They wept into each others arms for what seemed like hours. They thought they heard Lee come in but if he did he quickly left. They didn't want anyone to come in. all the wanted was Ginny.
Come back to us.
Ron
It should've be me
Ron tried hard not to break into hysterics in front of his best friend. He clenched his fists tightly to stop himself pounding them on the floor.
Why didn't I watch her enough?
Come to think of it, Ron realized that Ginny had been pale and drawn throughout the year, he always went through stages with her, sometimes jealous she got all Mum's attention, sometimes glad he wasn't the youngest and Fred and George treated him more like an equal instead of a baby. He always tried to include her, but When he went to Hogwarts he made it clear he didn't need her anymore. He had his own friends now.
But she's the best friend I've had. The longest friend I've had. The only friend I had for 11 years of my life.
Even when he got impatient and snappy with her, Ginny had always stayed by his side. Only now he realized how much she looked up to him. Looked, being the main word. She'd never be able to look up to him now, he'd be the youngest again. But he'd never be the baby.
We need you, Gin
