Chapter 15

Dog fight over Geonosis

The Slave 1 came out of hyperspace to the separatist planet of Geonosis with Obi-Wan Kenobi following it. Leaving behind his his hyperspace transporter gates Obi-Wan was in pursuit of Jango and his son. "Dad! I think we're being tracked."said Bobba" Jango looked at the monitor and saw Obi-Wan's star fighter. "He must have put a homing device on our hull. Hang on, son we'll move into the asteroid field. Then we'll have a couple of surprises for him" said Jango "And if that doesn't stop him, a few of my friends will have their fun with the Jedi."said Laserbeak. Boba laughed at the idea as Jango started to press some buttons .

The ship opened a hatch releasing what appeared to be an explosive of some kind. Arfoor identified the object and Obi-Wan also seen what it was. " Seismic charges... Stand by." said Obi-Wan.

When one of the charges hits an asteroid it explodes creating a massive chain of destruction crumbling other asteroids. Charge after charge Jango released and they would deliver the same amount of destruction as the last. All the destruction of the asteroid field attracted the attention of three of the deadliest Decepticons in Megatrons army Starscream, Skywarp, and Thundercracker.

"He doesn't seem to take a hint this guy"said Jango seeing that Obi-Wan was still in pursuit of him. "Then perhaps you should let us dispose of this pest" said Starscream over the com link. So Starscream and his fellow Decepticons transformed into their jet alt forms and began the attack.

While Jango flies into a Giant asteroid Obi-Wan follows him not knowing that he is also being per sued by three other fighters.

Carefully maneuvering inside the asteroid so as not to crash the game of cat and mouse continues.

" Watch out!" Boba yelled as Jango flies down a narrow tunnel coming ou the otherside.

Obi-wan followed suit, along with his Decepticon per suers, but had allowed Jango to get behind him with the Decepticons open for an attack.

Starscream opened fire followed by Thundercracker and Skywarp. "INSOLENT FOOL!!! YOU WILL NOT ESCAPE!!!" Starscream cried in confidence.

As soon as Obi-Wan was in Jangos line of fire Boba, not wanting the Decepticons to get the glory urged his father to take the shot and bring him down"Get him, Dad! Get him! Fire!".

Jango fired the rapid lazer at Obi-Wan who was already dodging the rapid fire from the Decepticons now had to worry about being vaporized by Jango. " Blast! This is why I hate flying."said Obi-Wan.

Obi-Wan was barrell rolling and dodging lazer fire from every direction until finally Jango's blast made contact with Obi-Wans star fighter and created some damage.

"You got him!"said Boba.

"We'll just have to finish him."said Jango.

Jango pushed a button and opened an outer hull releasing a missel headed towards Obi-Wan. The Decepticons fired missels of their own hoping to destroy the jedi.

Obi-Wan tried to evade the missels,but they were guided missels hot on his trail. Obi-Wan had an idea that might pull him out of the fire. "Arfour prepare to jettison the spare part canisters. Fire them now!"

The spare parts were released into spaced and instantaneously destroyed by the four rockets. Satisfied with their results they all headed to the surface of Geonosis. "We won't be seeing him again" said Jango as Boba laughed at what happened. "Excellent work Bounty Hunter, now let us return to our guests" said Starscream.

The Decepticons followed by the Slave 1 all made it to a secret hanger that was close to a large concentration of Trade Federation Starships.

Back at the asteroid belt, Obi-Wan had hidden along one if the larger asteroids, and waited until his attackers had left believing he was dead. "Well, Arfour, I think we've waited long enough" said Obi-Wan.

As he made his way along the planets surface he noticed the Trade Federation's ships all in a neat row which roused suspicion within his mind. "There's an unusual concentration of Federation ships over there, Arfour."said Obi-Wan Arfour beeps in response.

Obi-Wan flies to the nearest canyon and lands his ship there out of sight of any prying eyes. As soon as his cockpit opens he climbs out of his ship, signals Arfour to stay there, and continues walking making his way to find the Bounty Hunter and hopefully solve this mystery.
