Hey Readers, I know these chapters seemed… short. In truth, I was blindsided by fanfiction's way of loading the chapters. These chapters looked a lot larger when I wrote them out, but when they were publicized, they were a lot shorter than expected. I apologize for that and will be writing a lot more to try to get around that. This was good timing though, as I've got the stage set now for the real parts of the story to begin. There will be more spaced out dialogue and a lot more named characters showing up, including characters I've made a long time ago. I do not claim ownership of all MHA characters, only my own custom ones.

Chapter Three: Unexpected Alliances between Species

"Sensei… the city is in ruins." Mina said with a horrified expression as the students finally looked around to see their surroundings. The military forces Japan had in reserve were finally mobilizing, but it seemed like the invaders were unimpressed by these actions. For every invader the military managed to kill after finding the neck armor weakness… five hundred more seemed to take his place.

"I know Mina… the rest of the globe is in a similar state, I believe." Was all that Aizawa could say. "We can still blow them to smithereens!" Bakugo said, though he had a lot less enthusiasm in his voice.

"Every ship we destroy, five more appear from those… rifts. It's really concerning. Do they have limitless numbers?" Lida said with a horrified expression. "There's got to be an end to them, but… I don't know if we can do it. Not alone at least… but would anyone even help us?" Izuku said, worried about their capabilities.

"One thing is certain, our unwelcome visitors come from the rifts that swirl red and black. When we see them, we can be confident we at least destroyed another ship of theirs. Maybe they can't bring their entire fleet to bear on the planet?" Kirishima asked aloud.

"Possibly, or maybe it's to avoid friendly fire?" Replied Izuku. "Children, theories will get us nowhere. It's not bad to theorize, but we also need to acknowledge reality. We're being invaded by a species clearly superior in technology, we need to hit where we can." Aizawa said before a loud explosion was heard.

Everyone looked up to the sky to see one of the larger ships from the invaders, around forty kilometers in length and width, suddenly split in half and turned into a burning wreckage as it fell, burning bright purple and blue.

"Did… we just shoot down one of the larger vessels?" Izuku asked, but even he stopped in his tracks seeing something. "Look guys!" He then shouted, pointing at a purple and black rift that had formed on the opposite side from the invading vessels.

Everyone then stopped what they were doing to stare at the unknown rift.

"That… isn't the color of the invader's rifts. Please tell me they didn't just bring more reinforcements." Bakugo said, sweat forming on his hands, preparing another series of explosions.

That's when it happened, first it was just one rift, then it became ten… then a hundred, then a thousand.

"Uh… Sensei…? What do we do?" Uraraka said, suddenly extremely scared. Not even the invaders had utilized that many rifts.

"I… don't know. But I don't think they're the same as the invaders… the rifts aren't the same. Maybe similar technology?" Aizawa said, before the radios and whatever remaining working televisions were hacked, remotely playing a translated message.

"Attention Imperial invaders, by order of the Rebellion, we cast you off of this world! You will not gain another species as your personal slaves! For the freedom of all sapient life, we will obliterate you!"

The message rang loud and clear for the weary defenders, giving them a small burst of hope.

"Wait… did that voice just say… Rebellion?" Izuku said, before thousands upon thousands of battle scarred ships began to come through the purple and black rifts. Many in similar lengths and sizes to the invader's ships, but all seemed crude and roughly rebuilt, while others seemed newer and off factory lines. The rest had been heavily damaged, it was a wonder how they managed to still fly.

Before the class or instructor could say anything, the first shots between the two fleets were fired, each shot seemingly bouncing off the shields of the opposing fleets. Seems the invaders were utilizing their full power now.

"They're fighting! The Rebels are aiding us!" Izuku yelled, suddenly very excited as blue lightning coursed through his body. "Well, it seems like help came… but are they really here to help us?" All Might said, looking up at the battling fleets, before noticing something peculiar about the 'rebel' ships.

"Wait a moment, those 'rebel' ships. They have the same insignia that we saw in the blueprints, the world with three embedded swords in it! That means those blueprints we received were from these rebels. Potentially at least." All Might said as he looked amazed at the ongoing brawl in the sky. Military fighter jets had re-entered the space and were attacking both fleets, not knowing who were friendly and who weren't. The rebel ships ignored the fighter jets, even at the risk of being shot down. As for the invaders, they shot at them when they could, however the rebel warships were beginning to release their own aircraft to contest the air. Many of the aircraft looked eerily similar to modern day jets, only these ones had sleek lines of orange and red energy flowing through them, and instead of missile pods, seemed to have strange devices that looked like metal rods covered in wiring and armor.

"If these Rebels are truly here to aid us, they're doing a good job of it! They're tearing into the Imperial fleet!" Mina shouted enthusiastically, however the chaos truly was just beginning. The Imperials began to offload as many of their 'transport' ships as possible sending them planet side, however, the Rebel side was quickly doing the same, though theirs looked oddly similar to the Imperial transports.

"Both sides are reconvening. Children… Prepare for a renewed assault. Unknown assailants, plus possible allies." All Might said, blue lightning forming all over his body as he began to activate One for All, with Izuku Midoriya doing the same rapidly. Other Pro-Heroes such as Midnight and Thirteen closed in on their location, nodding at All Might. They had been injured and had a majority of their uniforms damaged or covered in blood, though it didn't seem to be theirs.

Then the radio waves were hacked again.

"Natives of this Class Fourteen Habited World, the Rebellion is sending the Fleet Admiral down to aid in your defense! Hang in there!" The translated message played, before another voice was heard.

"Death to the Imperial Menace, Drexen is enroute! The God of Warfare and Vengeance is upon them all!" Some random voice, presumably from a Rebel ship was heard as a unique transport from the largest Rebel Ship came screaming out of its bay followed by hundreds of other transports.

"Did they just say… God of Warfare and Vengeance?" Kirishima and Bakugo asked at the same time aloud as the unique transport ship landed on a rooftop near them with a loud mechanical whine as the engines shut down.

"Onwards! Remove this filth from this planet, I want it washed off my boots in an hour!" An unknown voice said before a humanoid creature jumped off the roof landing in front of the students and pro-heroes. Wearing primarily black armor with purple highlights around the edges, he stood around seven feet in height with no shine to his eyes, and a gash across his left eye, though his eye seemed relatively undamaged. His armor also appeared heavily damaged, yet seemed to house unsurmountable power as his body radiated an unknown energy.

"Natives of this world." He spoke into some device on his arm, which translated everything he said. "My name is Drexen, I am one of four primary leaders of the Rebellion. Allow us to lend you our sword, for the Imperials only brought a small invasion fleet here, not expecting you to put up much of a fight, let alone our intervention. We will save as many survivors as we can, but we will kill every hostile we come across."

The creature now known as Drexen, spoke to the students of UA high. His voice was firm, yet held an ethereal tone to it.

"We… will accept the help you can provide Drexen. Please, help us save everyone we can." All Might said after a brief moment of hesitation.

His voice was translated for Drexen via the same device, which sounded as a mix of Latin and Japanese at the same time. It was an odd mixture, nowhere near human in all honesty, who then nodded.

"We move out immediately." Then Drexen looked upwards at the fleets battling in the air before speaking again. "This is Drexen to Battlefleet Zulu, send down the Scarabs. Imperial Forces are growing in number. We need the firepower to level the field." He said into his communication device letting it be translated before he began to walk deeper into the city, not listening to the incessant communication from the fleets.

The war to control the planet had only just begun.
