Professor Wizgiz followed Palladium into a room located in the medical wing, one where they store many types of potion ingredients so they can create a potion to deal with anything they need be it basic wounds, injuries from spells gone wrong, curses or poisonous plants.
Wizgiz quickly moved the random bottles, notebooks and ingredients from the examination bed, Palladium layed the girl down as Wizgiz walked over with one of the infirmary outfits
"this may be a size too large" the wizard said "but nothing a quick spell can't fix" he levitated the clothes above the girl and said a few words, the clothes changed shape and with a flick of a wrist they switched places with the dress she was wearing, the spell removed the accessories from her hair as well revealing her pointed ears as her hair fell down
"I knew it!" Wizgiz exclaimed feeling quite proud of himself "I did sense elven magic in her"
"yeah yeah, you sensed right you don't need to be so loud about it" Palladium as he walked over with a blanket to cover the girl, it was a warm summer day but he didn't know how long she had been laying there on the cold forest floor or what world she came from for that matter, if she came from a warmer world even the warmest magix days could feel cold.
"Don't try and wake her by being loud, we don't know what happened to her but I'm guessing she could use her rest" he said as he looked at Wizgiz.
"You're right, any suggestions what to do now?, perhaps we should get Miss Faragonda back here or even Griselda" his friend responded.
"Yeah that's probably a good place to start, she should be safe here, but just in case" he cast a spell
"this area spell will warn me if she leaves the bed, it may not warn me if she wakes up but if she decides to get off the bed I'll know" Palladium said "I'd rather stay with her but I think it's a good idea if one of us investigates the area we found her in and the other sends an urgent message to Faragonda and Griselda"
His friend agreed "I think you just volunteered to check out the forest then, I'll go send the message, let me know if she wakes up" Wizgiz quickly left the room to go and send the message.
Palladium looked at his friend leave "of course he'd rather stay here and pour himself another cup of tea" he thought to himself, but he didn't mind, it was a nice day out and he was starting to get more curious by the second.
He looked over at the girl one last time as he left the room "it's fine, she'll be safe, no one is in the school and I could get back quickly if something happened anyway" he said to himself as he walked through the hallway.
He exited the school and quickly walked over to the tree they found her at. A pixie pet flew over to him as he got close, he looked at the little winged panda as it stopped in front of his face. "Hi little one, thanks again for the help earlier" the little panda looked quite pleased with itself, then it started to gesture towards the rose bushes next to the tree. "What is it? Is there something you want me to see?" He asked.
He walked over and looked at the prickly bushes, no way he was touching that with his bare hands.
He raised his hand and cast a spell moving the bushes aside, his hand glowing with his light green magical aura, something glistened in the sunlight, he reached and grabbed the object letting the bushes move back into place.
It was a necklace covered in a thin layer of dirt a small patch not covered showed a dark blue gem of some kind, the clasp was broken probably why it wasn't being worn by the girl when they found her.
He studied the necklace closely, enchanted by it's hidden beauty and the energy he could sense within.
He put the necklace in his pocket and investigated a large area around the tree, moving bushes and looking between flowers, the panda helped him and looked in the upper parts of the tree but together they couldn't find anything else.
"Alright friend I guess that's that, thank you for showing me the necklace you've been a big help" he smiled at the panda as he turned back towards the school entrance and started walking back.
The panda however wasn't just gonna stay behind, it flew to the professor and landed on his shoulder "you wanna come with? Alright than let's go back together I could use a good helper like you" they walked back together just as the girl started to come back to.
As Palladium walked back through the school gates, he felt an unfamiliar weight settle onto his shoulders
