Author's Note:

At times, writing absurd moments, like Naruto's over-the-top reactions or Sasuke's cryptic remarks, often felt like letting the characters loose in a playground where anything could happen. It also sparked a sense of curiosity—what would unfold if Sasuke stepped outside his usual self?

CHAPTER 01: Ichiraku Ramen

It was a warm afternoon in Konoha, and the aroma of freshly prepared ramen wafted through the bustling streets. Ichiraku Ramen was as lively as ever, a favorite spot for shinobi and villagers alike. Naruto was already seated at his usual spot, slurping down a steaming bowl, with Sakura seated beside him. Hinata walked in moments later, her graceful steps catching the attention of nearly everyone in the shop.

She had grown into an ethereal beauty, her lavender eyes shimmering under the sunlight. Her presence was both serene and commanding, an air of elegance surrounding her. She gave a shy smile to Teuchi, the owner, as she took a seat near her friends.

"Hinata! You're late!" Naruto grinned, waving his chopsticks. "I was about to finish your bowl too!"

Hinata chuckled softly. "I'm sorry, Naruto-kun. Training ran a bit longer today."

Before she could take her seat, the sliding curtain shifted, and Sasuke Uchiha walked in. His nonchalant demeanor was as sharp as ever, his dark eyes scanning the room before settling on the counter. Sasuke rarely visited Ichiraku, and his sudden appearance was enough to draw whispers from the other patrons.

Naruto, of course, noticed immediately. "Sasuke! What's up, teme? Finally decided to grace us with your presence, huh?"

Sasuke ignored him, taking a seat a few stools away, seemingly indifferent to everyone in the room. "I'm just here for food. Don't make a scene, dobe."

As Teuchi prepared Sasuke's order, a small commotion arose behind the counter. Ayame, Teuchi's daughter, accidentally knocked over a tray containing several small vials. One of them, a bright pink liquid with a faint shimmer, tumbled straight into Sasuke's bowl.

Teuchi noticed too late. "Ah, Sasuke—wait! Don't eat—"

But Sasuke, oblivious to the warning, had already taken a sip of the broth. His expression didn't change much, though he raised an eyebrow at the oddly sweet aftertaste. "Your broth tastes strange today."

Naruto burst out laughing. "You probably got the special! Maybe it'll make you nicer!"

Sasuke rolled his eyes, brushing off the comment. He turned his gaze toward Hinata, who was quietly sipping her tea. For some reason, his chest tightened, and a rush of inexplicable warmth spread through him.

He blinked.

Then it hit him.

She was radiant. Not in a passing, fleeting way, but like a goddess descended to earth. Her delicate features, the way her hair framed her face, and the soft curve of her lips—everything about her was mesmerizing.

Sasuke couldn't look away. His usual composed demeanor faltered as he felt an uncontrollable urge to be near her. Speak to her. Touch her.

"Hinata," he said abruptly, his deep voice cutting through the chatter.

Hinata looked up, startled. "Y-yes, Sasuke-kun?"

Everyone at the table fell silent. Sasuke almost never addressed Hinata directly, let alone with such intensity in his eyes.

"Sit next to me," he demanded. It wasn't a request.

Naruto nearly choked on his ramen. "Huh? Sasuke, what—"

"Now," Sasuke added, ignoring Naruto completely. His gaze was fixed solely on her.

Hinata flushed a deep crimson, her heart pounding. She hesitated, glancing at Naruto and Sakura for reassurance. Sasuke's intense stare was unnerving, and yet… there was something magnetic about it.

Naruto, sensing something was off, raised his voice. "Oi, teme, what's with you? Hinata doesn't have to—"

"Stay out of this, dobe," Sasuke said sharply, his tone colder than usual. Then, softening slightly, he turned back to Hinata. "Please."

Hinata's breath caught. Sasuke Uchiha, the most aloof person she knew, was… pleading? Unsure of what to do, she slowly moved to sit beside him.

As soon as she did, Sasuke's demeanor shifted. His usual stoicism was replaced by a smirk that could only be described as dangerously charming. He leaned closer, his voice dropping to a murmur meant only for her.

"You look beautiful today," he said.

Hinata's eyes widened. "W-what?"

Naruto gawked, while Sakura's jaw dropped. "Sasuke? Complimenting someone? Are you sick?"

Teuchi scratched the back of his head nervously, leaning toward Ayame. "I think he drank the love potion."

Ayame paled. "Oh no. That wasn't supposed to happen."

Hinata, now the center of Sasuke's intense attention, looked like she might faint. Sasuke, on the other hand, seemed entirely too pleased with himself, his smirk deepening as he noticed the effect he was having on her.

"Tell me, Hinata," Sasuke continued, his voice like velvet. "Why haven't I noticed how stunning you are before?"

Hinata's mind raced. What was happening? Why was Sasuke behaving like this? And why, despite her confusion, did her heart flutter at his words?
