Hakurei Shrine — Morning —
As usual Rain is in charge of sweeping the grounds while Reimu takes care of the inside chores.
"This is getting repetitive... maybe I should ask Reimu that we switch once in a while. I hope she doesn't mind. But it if this keeps up I might as well take over the shrine, heh." She said with a mischievous grin on her face as she continues her sweeping.
Unbeknownst to her one of the fairy that resides in a tree close to the Hakurei Shrine overheard her. This fairy actually has been spying on her ever since her arrival here at the shrine.
She has short red hair braided at the sides of her head with red ribbons, blue eyes, as well as a pair of wings. She wears a red and white dress which at the bottom has a white line. Along with that are long sleeves that has a red line at the end and frills, along with a yellow neckerchief attached at the top of the dress. She also wears black and white shoes, as well as a maid headband between her braids.
"Oh no! I knew it! That green human is plotting something! I'd got to tell this to Luna and Star!" She hurriedly went to her fellow fairies who are still asleep and in their sleepwear.
Where they are actually is inside the giant tree near the Hakurei Shrine. The way it looks like is similar to a normal bedroom except that the walls are the tree barks. Seems like even fairies could have such a home inside a tree they chose.
"You guys! Wake up! We've got trouble!" She said as she flails her arms like child.
"Hngh...no..." The other sleeping fairy uttered.
"T-too...sleepy..."
"Still not on the mood? Well, this ought to wake you guys up!" She said as she jumps on them with her body while louldly yelling. "Sunny's sideup!". Apparently it is called like that because the way she jumps with her body on one side only strongly resembles that of how an egg is cooked by that name and style.
A loud thud is heard across their room and the two are startled and immediately woke up.
"Ack! Sunny! I was having a nice dream!" Said the little girl with red eyes and yellow hair arranged into six princess curls on both sides of her head, as well as a pair of wings.
"Waah! I forgot my dream! Why did you wake up me so early in the morning!" The last girl complained. She has a long brown hair with a blue ribbon attached to it, and eyes that are yellow. She also has butterfly-shaped wings.
"Forget your dreams! I've just heard that green human said something about taking over the shrine!" She exclaimed to which the other two reacted as being shocked.
"It's a good thing we have our eyes on her. Reimu and Marisa has been deceived by her. We already have declared a war to her. Now all we need to do is expose her to Reimu!" Sunny raised her fist into the air as she garnered applause from the two.
"Let's go! Luna and Star! We'll have a grand meeting! We'll need Piece on board as well! For!-" Sunny proclaimed and then both joined by Luna and Star as they say.
"We! The Three Fairies of Light! Shall punish those who are evil!" Their voices unite and each took a pose.
Rain decided to take a break and see how Reimu is doing. To her surprise she saw the miko just relaxing on the mat with the book she and Alice rented.
Reimu hums as she reads the book while lying on her back.
"Oooh! This book is great! But is there really a giant three headed dragon?" Reimu said as she talks to herself.
With a disappointed look on Rain's face she said. "Hey... I have no problem letting you read that but... are you really done with your chores?" Rain asked as she sits near Reimu.
Reimu waves her hand in a carefree manner as if dismissing Rain's question. "Yeah, not much chores you can do in here and there's almost nothing to do once you are done. So the best way to pass time is to either relax with tea in the porch or just like this." She resumed her reading while letting out exciting comments about it.
"Ho... so cutting its head is not enough? Regenerating heads... I wonder how they will defeat it? Ahh, this is somehow similar to Yamata no Orochi albeit much smaller and only has three heads."
Rain lets out a sigh as she heard this. "Come on... I haven't even started reading it yet, no spoilers." she commented.
Reimu makes a sly smile. "Help yourself to some of the green tea I made, it's near the table." She said still looking at the book.
"Okay, do you want some too?" Rain asked.
"Yes, please. Thanks."
Rain stood up and went to the table to pour in the said tea for the two of them. As she does that she saw glimpse of somehow a wing that went by near the door. She ignored it thinking it must be nothing and goes back to Reimu.
"Here, careful not to spill it on the book." She said as she hands over the drink to her friend.
"Thanks," Reimu said as she gets up and seated herself to drink her tea properly. "Who knew that the world outside also has these beings? Would have been kinda hard for me to deal with this things but I bet it would have been exciting." Reimu finally looks at Rain.
"Huh? I'd never knew you'd admit that. But are you willing to let that happen? Just so you could experience it?" Rain asks her.
"Heh, no I'd rather not. Not only it will be a pain in the rear but also I cannot let the others be put in danger just for my entertainment." Reimu said earning a nod from Rain.
'In short. She's just lazy...figures...' Rain thought as her face remained the same.
"I would have answered the same. Makes me think back then how people dealt with such beings." She took a single sip from her tea.
"The answer is technically what we're reading." Reimu closed the book and pointed it to Rain. "There would be instances that a sealing or something similar is done but I think this book has not yet touched that part. Oh well, I like the part how they are exploring the world only for fun and entertainment, all while defeating bad guys along the way." Reimu said as she sips from her tea.
"They are enjoying it, aren't they? Exploring the world is already a huge and long adventure."
"Mmh, that's correct, makes me wonder if all that's written here are from real experience. I mean just look at it. The characters are very well made and the way the places they've been to are described. The author really knows how to catch the audience." Reimu's tone of voice seems like a mix of excitement and curiosity.
"In short, you're already a fan of the book." Rain pointed out.
"Yeah, I can't deny that. How about you?"
"I haven't read it yet... perhaps if you give it to me now. I can give you an answer." She said as her hands reach in to the book. Which in turn was swiped back by Reimu.
"Nuh-Uh! You better finish sweeping first." She holds up a finger and smirked at Rain.
"Geh... I can't believe this." She said as she wince at what Reimu said.
"Go on now, those leaves and dust won't sweep themselves." Reimu said as she gets back at her laid back position and opened the book, and continued reading.
Rain could only roll her eyes as her response and walks out of the room.
"Too bad for you Reimu, I'm about to finish that chore! Hehehe~." She grins as she goes out back outside. Only for it to slowly fade away at what she saw.
"W-Wha-Who-How?!" She exclaimed as she saw the many scattered leaves in front of her.
"Grr... how the heck did this happen?!" She stomps her foot at the ground angrily while also making sure to not use so much force.
Unknown to her, the culprits are on top of the shrine's roofs, laughing at her.
"Yay! Prank successful!" Sunny expressed her joy and stretches out her hands to her fellow pranksters.
Clownpiece the hell fairy whom Rain scared last time also makes a comment.
"That look on her face though... oh, she's angry... Eek! She's looking at us!" She said as she cowered behind the three.
"What do you mean? She can't hear or see us, thanks to me and Luna." Sunny proudly said.
Sunny Milk is a fairy who manipulate sunlight, with this she's able to make herself and her nearby allies invicible. An ability perfectly suited for pranks.
Luna Child has the power to mute sound around her. Combine this with Sunny's invisible power and you have the silent and unseen pranksters. She actually used this ability to not let Reimu be alarmed of Rain's angry shoutings.
Star Sapphire is supposedly the scout of the group as she has the power to detect moving things but if it is a living thing she somehow can only tell its size and no more than that.
Clownpiece, a hell fairy that can drive people into madness with her torch. Another ability for the torch is that it can make lifeforce go berserk. Other than that, her nature is almost the same as an ordinary fairy, and that is being occasionally dumb and childish.
Sunny's proud face turned pale as Clownpiece is right, the way Rain looked at them seems like they've been spotted. Rain's face is very angry indeed and they can see that if they get caught then they probably will get exterminated. But she eventually turned around and made a threat.
"Grraaaaaah! If I found out that this is a prank by someone and find them...words cannot describe what will I do!" She fumed like how Mt. Fuji is about to blow.
The fairies who heard her loud roar of anger all gulp and shivered.
"She's just like Reimu when angry..." Luna commented as she clung tightly to Star's arms.
"Awawawa... that death stare..." Star said seemingly frightened.
As they are all getting worked up Rain continued her work and murmured to herself.
"Hmph...maybe I can take it when Reimu is not looking. Oh, perhaps sending her away would do the trick but what excuse could I say?" Rain muttered to herself as well as pondering on how to take back the book as she too wanted to read it.
But those words were once again misinterpreted by Sunny Milk who has a knack for always eavesdropping.
"Shhh! You guys! I heard her say about taking something from Reimu!" Sunny hushed her friends.
"Is it the precious thingy?" Luna asks.
"Her donations?" Star added.
The three tilted their head and Sunny smacks her and saying. "No! And Star, she doesn't have any remember? Whatever that is, it is not good."
"Sooo? Are you saying we should confront and beat her head on?" The hell fairy said and then added. "Nope! I'm NOT fighting her! She'll send me straight back right to hell." She rapidly shakes her head to show her disagreement.
"That WAS the plan." Sunny said. "But I think we need to change it." She folds her arms as she tried to think.
"Er...so to stop her then we have to prank her more?" Star suggested.
"Ooh, nice idea!" Sunny gave her a thumbs up which made Star smiling as she gets flattered.
"Ehehe~."
"Aren't we just making her more angry that way?" Luna voiced out her doubts.
"Nah! That was nice plan! Kyahahahaha! I got loads of pranks we can use!" Clownpiece said as she makes a peace sign with her hands.
"Come on, let's do this!"
They all huddled together and whispered to each other their ideas and plans. There were a few laughs and giggles, and after that they finally formed a plan.
"All right! Operation begins!" Sunny declared as she raised her fist into the air. The others joined in as well.
"We're so screwed." Luna added.
Rain continues her sweeping and this time she puts all her effort to finishing it quickly. This time, nothing happened so she'll finish in no time.
"Phew, almost done." She said as she wipes of some of her sweat on her face. 'Still...I can't help but feel someone or something is watching me.' She slowly looked at her surroundings which remained the same, quiet and peaceful.
"I thought for sure I saw people up in the shrine's roof." She doubled check it a few times now but she didn't find any.
As she sweeps she hears a whooshing sound coming in behind her back. She quickly turned around and saw a black ball landing near her side.
"Eh? What's this?" She picks it up and looked at it. "Looks like a ball or something."
"Soryaaaa!" –YEET!– Without giving it much thought she casually flings it to the bush just a few walks away from her. She somehow heard a fizzling sound just before she throwed it.
"Hmm... I wonder if that's one of the items said to casually drift here. It did felt heavy when I chucked it. Oh well, back to cleaning." She casually dismiss her other thoughts and resumes her work. Walking away from this area to the next.
What happens next is that a weak explosion occured just where the supposed black ball has landed. There are no noises heard from the explosion just a little flash a small puff of white smoke emerged. Upon closer inspection, four fairies are on the ground behind the bush, seemingly dazed, covered in dust and a few scratch on their clothes, and groaning.
—Earlier—
"Fwahaha! This should do the trick!" Clownpiece laughs as she presented a black ball to the team.
"Is that one of Star's bombs?" Sunny asked looking a bit worried and identified the thing as a bomb.
"Hey... isn't that dangerous? Also didn't we throw all those away?" Luna looks at Star with her eyebrows raised.
"Tehe~." Star could only reply with sticking out her tongue and a wink.
"No worries! This bomb is not that bad!" Clownpiece assures them.
"It's called a bomb for a reason you know?" Luna again tries to reason with them.
They are hiding behind a bush not far away from Rain whose still sweeping. They need to hide even though they are both invicible and cannot be heard. As they worried about Rain's great perception which they compared to Reimu, hence the double counter measures.
"Who's going to throw it? I wouldn't recommend Luna as she might slip and then the bomb explodes on us." Sunny said as she throws a insult but true to Luna who scoffs at this.
"At least I'm not stupid enough to throw it in a wrong way. Star is no good either as she throws like a girl." Luna mockingly replied.
"Luna...you!" Sunny grabs Luna's cheeks and pulled them, same with Luna as she retaliated.
"But I am a girl..."
"Bwahahaha! You guys don't need to fight! I'll do it!" Clownpiece said as she lights up the fuse of the bomb with her torch and then throws it to the direction of Rain. She hides back in the bush, closing her eyes and putting both hands to her ears as she eagerly awaits for the result.
The other three who saw this also ducked for cover and mimicked her. Just a few moments later Sunny could not wait any longer and decides to take a peek.
"This is taking so long! I have to see it with my own eyes!" Right after she said that and peeked. What she saw was the bomb hurling towards her face.
"What the?!" –Thwack!– It'd hit her right in her face and to add more, the bomb explodes as it hits her.
The bomb itself is not that powerful. It is just that these fairies except for Clownpiece, are weak. That said Clownpiece whose beside Sunny have only taken enough damage to be dazed while the rest are flung up in the air for a moment. If time was slowed down, one can see how their expression changed from grinning to mouth agape. (Cue, Beethoven: Für Elise, Bagatelle No. 25 in A minor).
Which leads back to the present state they are now. If it aren't for Luna's ability, that explosion would have exposed them.
"Waaaah... I see doubles of you guys..." Star said as she gets up, wobbling.
"Uugh...that was awful!" Luna still on the ground said.
"Achoo! Too much dust! Bleh!" Clownpiece said as she flails around her arms.
–Ding! Revived!–
"Ah! What happened?" Sunny said as she gets up.
"You just died...idiot." Luna now standing said.
"Did I?...Grr...that human is messing with us!" Sunny said in frustration and stomps her foot.
"Let's get her!" She added as she flies to the direction of Rain. This time with her ability dispelled.
The other three who were left behind quickly followed her.
"This is the last part and then I'm done!" Rain said as she stretches her arms.
As she did that she noticed Marisa coming in from above. She waved at her and waited for her to get down.
"Yo! Rain! Another nice day we havin' eh?" Marisa greeted with her hand raised up and palm open, zooming in and still riding on her broom.
"Here to pester Reimu again, or perhaps me?" Noticing how Marisa is coming in fast she quickly said. "Oi! Don't just dash in that fast! You're gonna blow away the leaves that I just swept!" This is how they usually greet which Marisa seems fond of, as it is the same with Reimu.
"Oops! Anyway I have some ne-" As she lands she somehow loses her footing.
"-AH!" That's all she could say before falling to the ground. But thanks to Rain, she catched the magician before she does fall with her face first.
"Ooh, I can feel something soft and it smells nice... feels like a bit kind of a wall though..." She said as she opened her eyes and when she looked up. She saw Rain with an annoyed look on her face.
"I saved your face from falling on the ground and this is what I get?" Rain then smacks Marisa in the head.
"Ow! Sorry! I didn't realized that was yer chest!" She smiled a bit to say sorry.
"Tch... whatever, here's your big hat." She said as she hands it over to Marisa.
"Thanks!" She puts it on and wears that smug smile again.
"And you said you can dodge bullets but you can't dodge the ground." Rain said as she continued sweeping.
"Uwaah~ That hurts ze! Anyway..." Marisa said as she dusted herself off. "I heard that there's this person who can see one's memories!" She said and this made Rain stopped.
"Oh? And who is this person?" Rain curiously asked.
"Apparently she's not human and I still can't confirm if it is true or possible for you." Marisa said as she picks up her broom.
"I see, we ought to talk about this with Reimu. She's the type to get angry over this matter if she's left out. It's a good thing I'm almost done." Rain cheerfully said as Marisa nods.
Just as soon as they finished talking they heard a voice yelling at them.
"HEY YOU!"
"Huh? Did you bring someone else with you? Rain question her.
"Nope! Though that childlike voice sounds familiar." Marisa said as she tried to recall who that is and just when she did. She saw this fairy flying towards them with a fast pace.
"Ooh! It's that fairy! Sunny! What are ye doing?"
"Huh? Marisa? Why are you here?" Sunny said as she continues flying towards them.
Rain who turns around to see her was surprised not because of her but to what she has done.
"AH! Noooo! YOU! STOP!" Rain shouted but Sunny already swept away the leaves Rain gathered to be disposed later.
To add more chaos the other three fairies catches up to Sunny. Who also blew the leaves away with their wings, scattering them.
"GOD DAMN IT!!!" Rain yelled as she cast her eye down.
Marisa could only look at her with pity and said to the fairies.
"You guys are up to yer pranks again? Ya better not mess with her. Y'all regret it, I tell ya."
"Actually we're here to challenge her! We did those pranks to get her attention and prove that she's evil!" Sunny said and signaled the other three fairies for their entrance speech.
"Fufufu! Here I am! The one who observes everything from the sky..." The fairy with a blue ribbon on her head landed and gestured with her hands. "Pouring Starlight! I am Star Sapphire!"
"Also, the one who can sneak around you without a sound!" A fairy with a yellow hair arranged into six princess curls on both sides of her head. "Silent Moonlight! Luna Child!" She landed with pose which is similar to a hero landing.
"Furthermore! Appearing when you least expect it!" The fairy with a red short hair and wears toothy grin announced. "Shining Starlight! Sunny Milk!" She too landed with a pose that looks ridiculous.
"And finally! The strongest worst fairy there is!" The fairy from hell declared. "I'm not afraid of some human! Clownpiece is here!" Her pose is that of a folded arms with smug face.
"Together, we'll put an end to your evil schemes!" They said in unison and while maintaining their poses.
"..." Marisa seems speechless about this due to how ridiculous this is. The same with Rain whose been silent for a while now.
"We challenge you to a fight!"
"I think I've seen this before..." Marisa commented as she tries to recollect that event.
"...So you're the ones that has been pranking me, huh..." Rain said in a low but serious voice.
"Fine... I accept... the avenger of the leaves shall be your opponent!" Rain said as she gave the four fairies a death stare menacingly as her colored eyes flickered with their respective color. She cocks her head left and right seemingly to exercise it. After that she cracks her knuckles and formed it into a fist.
The four fairies seemed eager to fight her but was also intimadated to her imposing aura.
"L-Let's fight!" Sunny said with a trembling voice as well as a shaking leg.
Marisa seeing this slowly backs away and murmured.
"I'll just be here, so I won't get caught in along with her wrath."
—INSTANT K.O!—
The fight was over in an instant and there the stands winner with her back turned and with her arms crossed over the bodies of her opponents whom she defeated. The wind blows over her hair, her butterfly like black bowtie head gear and clothes making it flutter as she slightly turn her head back highlighting her right eye who flickered red.

Marisa who witnessed this could only shake her head as she predicted this.
"...What just happened?"
Reimu who was chilling inside hurriedly went out to see what is the commotion. To her surprise she saw the position of Rain and the fairies.
Rain then yelled at the fairies who just recovered. "This ought to teach you... do not try to run away or I'll punish you with good spanking." She then handed them the tools they need to finish the job they ruined in the first place.
"So care to tell me what happened?" Reimu said as she sits near them in the porch.
"Oh, just Rain here beating up those fairies who pranked her. Nothing major." Marisa explained.
"No slacking!" Rain shouted again at them.
"Haha, look at you Rain, bossing these poor fairies around like a tyrant." Marisa jokingly said which earned a glare from her.
"Do you want to help them? You're making me sound like I'm the evil one here."
Marisa shakes her head and laughs. "Nah, let them enjoy their punishment. Speaking of which..." She then turned her attention to the four. "Oi, why did you guys challenge her? Is this the same thing as last time?"
"No, I just overheard her plotting something about taking over the shrine." Sunny said as she sweeps.
"Yeah, so we devised a plan to expose her." Luna added.
"There's also about taking something from Reimu." Star too added.
"Me? Take over the shrine? You guys must have misunderstood something." Rain seems baffled at this.
"Yeh, Rain ain't doing that as she gains nothing from it. Besides Reimu might just give her the position if she asks." Marisa joked.
"I also don't want to wear that shrine maiden uniform as it feels too awkward and too embarassing." Rain said earning a look from Reimu.
"What do you mean? This uniform is great! I can move freely with it."
Rain quickly retorted by slightly shaking her head. "Too much skin exposure for me, especially the belly and armpit part. Uh...well if you like flaunting them then I have no qualms about it." Rain said making Reimu stiff and red for a moment. While Marisa just laughs about it.
"H-Hey! I didn't make this clothes! Mr. Rinnosuke did..." Reimu tries to defend herself only to make more Rain look at her with a dead air.
"E-eh... I see you both share the same kink." Rain slowly started to avert her eyes to kill the conversation. Why did it went to this topic in the first place?
Marisa's laughs are getting louder and actually turns into a wheeze.
"Bwahahaha! You guys stop! My sides! Yer killing me with this conversation!" She stops herself from rolling on the porch.
"No! That's not it! Ugh! Let's just switch the freaking topic! Anyway! You fairies!" She points at them. "You misunderstood her, she has no such plans and what she is talking about getting back is the book I'm reading." She showed them the book she brought with her.
The fairies looked at each other and started quarreling.
"Sunny! You idiot! You dragged us again in a mess that you misunderstood!"
"Aw, come on! But that was fun! Sneaking around, trying not to get caught was exciting."
"Ahahaha! Sunny's right! With this I get to fight yet another strong human!" Clownpiece laughs.
The four fairies laughs and the three humans look perplexed at this.
"Just don't do that again, I hate it when someone makes all my hard work go to waste. You guys don't want that too right?" Rain said as the fairies agrees with a nod.
With their combined efforts the four fairies managed to finished sweeping in just a few minutes.
"Good job, you guys." Rain said returning with teas and a coffee in her hand and giving it to the fairies.
"You're giving us tea?" Sunny said seemingly confuse on the human's action.
"Good work must be paid with good reward. So I brewed this tea and coffee."
"C-Coffee!" Luna said as Rain gives it to her.
"Th-thank you!" She sips it and expressed a happy smile as it is good.
"How did you know Luna likes coffee?" Star asked.
"Oh, I saw her eyeing those coffee beans back at the kitchen."
"Oh! So back then?" Luna is the who Rain saw earlier when she was talking with Reimu.
Rain continues to hand over tea to the remaining fairies and Marisa decides to chime in.
"Heh, Rain! Yer so thoughtful! How about me? Do you know what I like?" Marisa excitedly.
Rain doesn't need to think about it. Marisa lives in the Forest of Magic where many magical mushrooms grow. She always brings in mushrooms for them to use as ingredients. So the answer is definitely-
"Mushrooms." Rain said making Marisa grin.
"Correct! You know me so well!" Marisa looks so happy about it.
"How about me then?" Reimu joined in.
Rain smirks at this and seemed to have thought of an answer quickly.
"Donations, of course." She said with a smile.
The fairies and Marisa seemed to giggle about this while Reimu frowned a bit, but eventually smiles and giggle with them.
"No, but seriously I like what I can eat, japanese food, sake, you name it!" Reimu shoots a look at Rain, hinting something.
"Hmph, you want me to cook another dish for you?" Rain guessed.
To which Reimu excitedly nods and Marisa seems eager too. Rain takes a sip from her tea and said.
"Called it, how about you fairies? Want to eat with us?" Rain of course didn't forget about them.
Sunny and the others looked at each other and without further discussion they all quickly agreed and are very excited to it.
"So it's decided then, hmm... what dish should I cook today?" Rain asks them for suggestions.
"How about some Tonkatsu? I've been eating mushrooms lately. So I want some meat!" Marisa suggested.
"Hmm, judging from how many we are I guess that's a good choice. Any objections or additions?" Rain asks as she looks at everyone. After a moment the fairies raised their hands.
"Alright, Sunny, speak up." Rain said.
"I'd like to suggest that we have sake along with that. I bet it will taste amazing!" She said as she pucks her lips just by imagining in.
"Too eager, hmm? Though I don't drink that much, I guess we can." Rain then turns to Reimu who quickly gets what she means.
"Ah, leave the sake to me. Also it's best if you stay here Rain. I'll shop for the ingredients we need. Saves more time as I can fly and you don't need to tire yourself." She suggested and Rain agrees.
"Whoo! There we have it ze! I'll just chill here with them so don't ya worry about thing Reimu!" Marisa said as she smiles.
"You're forgetting something, Marisa." Rain puts up a finger, making Marisa tilt her head.
"Eh? What did I forget?"
Rain sighs and then said. "If she's here, she'll get mad at you." She gave her a hint.
"Her?" Marisa scrambles her head to think and after a while she finally gets it. "O-Oh! Alice! Haha! Yeah, I'll go and get her to come!" She said.
"Can you go now? I kind of want her to be here before we get to cook as I can ask her for some tips and also help from her dolls." Rain insisted.
"Sure, the more the merrier!" She enthusiastically stood up from the porch and proceeded to pick up her broom.
"She'll surely come if yer the one invited her. Heck, I bet she'll come rushing in heh!" Marisa then walks away from them and prep herself to fly to the Forest of Magic.
Reimu too, stood up and said. "I better go too. I'l leave the shrine to your care, Rain." She went back in inside with the empty teas.
"Well, you can count on me. You guys better behave or you ain't eating with us." Rain pertained to the mischievous fairies.
"Yes!" They all answered. Seeing this Rain feels like she just scolded some children and they'll behave if you offer them food that they like.
And so they will have a great feast even though it is still the middle of the day. Reimu procured the ingredients they need. Marisa brought back Alice with her who is very much delighted to come. They all helped each other in cooking and setting up the place where they will eat. It has to be in the porch as not only it is a good spot but a good shade from the sun's heat.
"All right you guys! Here's the food you're all waiting for!" Rain said as she delivers plates full of tonkatsu.
"Wooow~, It looks yummy! And smells yummy!" Sunny said.
"Wait till ya taste it," Marisa added. "It's guaranteed delicious!" She said as she brought out the sake.
"Um... Rain do you drink sake?" Alice said as the dolls bring in the cups.
"I don't know? But I do have the feeling that if I did I might get drunk that fast." She said as she sats down.
Reimu comes in with yet another bottle of sake while eagerly saying.
"Let's get this party started!"
"Er... I don't think it is right for a shrine maiden to be that eager to get drunk." Rain commented.
"Come on!" Marisa slaps her back. "This is normal here!"
"Yeah...right. I think I'll stick to my jasmin tea just to be safe."
Marisa leans in and said.
"Tea again? Aren't ya sick of drinking that all the time?"
Rain gave a sigh and looks at her with a disappointed look while replying.
"Sick of tea? Marisa... that's like you saying you're sick of breathing." She scoffs at her.
"Gee, you really like tea, huh?" She opens up the bottle of sake and pours it on Rain's empty cup.
"But! No tea today, only sake! Come on! Drink! Unless yer chicken?"
This provocation from Marisa made Rain's eye brows raise.
"Fine! Just this once!" She said as she drank it in one go.
"There! Happy now?" She said as her face started to redden which means-
"Marisa! Ever heard of people saying no?" Alice cuts in.
"Sheesh, it's just one cup."
"You guys are enjoying this too much. Just look at the fairies they already ate all the food on the plate we gave to them. Oh, they seemed to be all knock out from the sake just now." Reimu also joins in.
"This taste so good with sake, the way it melts into my mouth feels like I'm melting too." She added.
Alice seems to be reluctant to try it but eventually gave it a go and her reaction is the same as Reimu.
"She's right, this is indeed a good pair with sake."
"Dahahaha! Anything is a good pair with sake!" Marisa laughs as she pours another one in her cup.
Rain looks at this happy scene and looks content. As they all eat and drink, another uninvited visitor appears.
"Seems like you guys are throwing such a party without inviting the mistress." the voice came from just beside them and it sounds soft but with elegance.
"Wha? S-Sakuya? What are you doing here?" Reimu is the first to react and naming the visitor.
Rain looks at her and saw she also has the same hair color as her but her hairstyle is with that of long braids on both sides of her face with green bows. She's wearing a white maid head gear and she has blue colored eyes. The most notable thing about her is her clothing as she is wearing a maid uniform.
"I'm here for her." She points at Rain.
"Eh? Me?" Rain looks at her with a confuse look.
"Yes, you do remember lady Patchouli inviting you? Well, here is a formal letter that came personally from my mistress, Remilia Scarlet." She said as she hands over the letter to her.
The letter itself is sealed with a red seal and to top it off the paper itself seems like it is made with top notch quality.
Rain opens the letter and the others seemingly curious reads it with her.
"What is this letter? Looks fancy but I can't read this." Reimu said as she looks at the letter.
Sakuya chuckled at what she said and replies. "Perhaps it's because you're not bright. This letter is written personally by mistress."
No doubt it is as it is a fancy writing and the language it is written in is cursive English.
Reimu hearing that angrily retorted. "What did you say? You're just one step away from being kicked out of my property."
"Oh, this is English alright." Marisa said as she have read the letter.
"You understood that?" Reimu asks.
"Yeah, being a book nerd has its own perks and Alice can too! Dunno about Rain though. Hey, want me to read it aloud for ya?"
Rain shakes her head and replied. "No need, I understood it very clearly. I'll read it for Reimu." She said surprising all of them.
"Oh? Looks like my mistress's expection to you is right." Sakuya seemingly praised Rain.
Rain clears her throat and begins reading.
"Esteemed Outsider, your story and situation has come into my attention, thanks to my friend whom you encountered. I'd like to personally invite you to my mansion and have a talk with me. I may be able to help you, that is if you'll interest me. Kindly give the day you'll be available to my trusted head maid, Sakuya. For acknowledgement, I'd like you to sign below if you agree to come but I'm sure you will. I also signed it for authenticity. I eagerly await your arrival as it is fate that we meet. Signed yours truly, Remilia Scarlet, Mistress of the Scarlet Devil Mansion."
At the bottom of the letter seems like a stamp of red or rather blood.
Hearing that Marisa and Reimu both commented.
"That's her alright."
"Show off as usual."
Sakuya still smiling after hearing this added.
"Such words to my lady will be forwarded to her."
"Don't care, let her roll on the ground while she throws a tantrum." Reimu says.
"Rain, that yokai is very dangerous. Well not really on the outside but! She's a vampire that sucks off yer blood. Like this! I'm coming for ye blood! Bleh Bleh Bleh!" Marisa said as she mimics how a vampire act, poorly.
"Pretty sure, vampires don't say that." Alice said.
"So what do you say miss Rain? The mistress is really eager to see you as she's been pestering me this past days."
"I just need to sign and give you the day I'm available right?" Rain asks as she stood up.
"Yes, I'll deliver the letter back and assuming you agree I'll be back here from the day you mentioned to escort you." Sakuya explained.
"Hmm, give me two days to prepare and I'd like to request that I take my friends with me. They probably won't allow me to come if I'm just alone." She stated.
"I don't see the problem if you'd bring them along. Then all I require to you is to sign the letter. Here is the-" Sakuya's words were cut by Rain who suddenly unsheathes her small sword and cuts the skin of her thumb finger which resulted to it to bleed and then pressed that finger to the one where she's supposed to sign.
Before any of them could say anything. Rain hands over the letter to Sakuya.
"That's my sign, a blood sign is more fitting for your lady and this is to show my own respect."
Sakuya seems to be pleased by Rain's actions and replied. "Thank you for your time and answer. As the mistress said you are very interesting. I shall take my leave now, enjoy your party." The maid said and quickly disappears from their sight.
"Er... anybody got some bandages?" Rain asks as she sits back.
Her friends are still dumbfounded from what she did but Marisa is the first one to react.
"It didn't occur to me, Rain that... yer such a show off too!" Marisa teased her.
"What?! No! I've figured that was the best way to reply."
"Must be the effects of alcohol." Alice pointed out.
"Still, Rain you just accepted a letter from the scarlet devil herself." Reimu said.
"Ah come on! She just sipped one, ya think that's enough to make her drunk?" Marisa seems to be unconvince and felt that was ridiculous.
"A-Actually." Rain looks at them with her face getting more and more red that it is very clear that she is drunk.
"No way!" Marisa's mouth falls open as she could not believe it.
"I'm just barely holding on. I think...I have a low alcohol tolerance..." She said as she stands up again only to start to wobbling.
"Neat! Have some more! Don't tell me a cup is all it takes to down ya." Marisa said as she pushed another cup of sake to Rain. Clearly she wants to see her dead drunk.
"Hye...I- darn you Marisa... This is nothing!" She swipes the bottle of sake from her and chugs it.
"Ohoho! Now that's what I'm talking about!" Marisa said as the two other girls both smack her in the head.
"Youch! Both at once? That hurt!"
"Look at what you did to her... She looks like how Youmu is when drunk." Reimu pointed out to Rain whose spacing out.
"You'll clean up the mess after this." She added.
"Oh, poor Rain... wait what's she doing?" Alice said as she looks at Rain.
"Hyaaahaha! Bring more booze! Ahaha! I've never felt this before! Hic! Spinning! I'm spinning! Ey, Marisaaa! Raymoooo! Aliciaaaa! Give me moreeee!" She said as she somehow emptied the whole bottle of sake.
"Uh-oh." The three of them said at the same time.
This is the first time they have to deal with a drunk Rain and the events that happened next will surely be a lesson to them to not let her get drunk again.
Hakurei Shrine – Precisely 7:30 PM –
Yeah there are, yeah there are things like that. A lot of things, a lot of things, Ha-Ha-Ha.
Oh-no, Oh-no, you shouldn't overdo things. Otherwise, Everyone will laugh at you. Ha-Ha-Ha.
"Achooo!" Rain quickly got up right after she sneezed.
"Whaa? Argh my head..." She looks around and finds herself in a familiar room, Reimu's room to be exact.
She feels a bit breezy and noticed that she has no clothes on, this time all of them.
"Oh no! Not again! Wait, I still have my socks on. Geh! That's not the point! Hawawawa... what happened?"
"Reimu...You there? Anyone?" She said looking around.
No one answered back to her. So Rain thought she was either out or outside.
"I remember drinking with everyone, after that I don't remember much but only the word 'Pretty'." She said muttering to herself.
Her eyes then noticed something. On the ground just next to her is a bow and red-white clothing folded.
"Reimu's clothes..." She uttered and then she heard someone approaching the door from the other side.
The door opened and there comes in a person in a bath towel covered Reimu.
"Hello-- wait, h-hey are you serious?! HUH? HUH! AHHHHH!" Rain shouted as she realized something.
"Shut up, Rain! You're very loud and you just woke up! It's already night." Reimu said seemingly annoyed at her actions.
"Now I've done it..." Rain said making Reimu confused.
"Done what?" Reimu said as she picks up the folded clothes and dress.
"Erm...what happened to my clothes and um yours?"
"Do you have to ask?!" Reimu seems angry that Rain doesn't understand but it could worse if she thinks what she think it is.
"I don't remember anything at all." She said
"You puked on your on clothes and mine too! Geez, remind me again not to make you drink. Undressing you was the hard part as those armor thingy are heavy. It's also a good thing I have spare clothes. Here, use this for now." She tossed her supposed clothes to Rain.
"This is...your kidding right?" Looking at it this is Reimu's shrine uniform clothes. No way this will fit nor will she wear it.
"Wear it or freeze your buns out." Reimu said as she took her own spare clothes and dresses.
"Fineee," Rain sluggish dresses herself too.
"I knew it...it's too small..." She said as she finished dressing.
"Say, what did happen?" She persitently ask Reimu.
"Trust me, something you don't wanna know, the worst thing you did was insulting and puking on me, idiot."
"Ehhh? That makes me more curious and restless." She said.
"Alright but I'll tell in the fastest way. First you embarrased Marisa, she's probably rolling on her bed coming up in a way to pay you back, second you made Alice passed out, and lastly you were gonna say something to me but turns out you just wanted to puke on me before passing out."
Rain had that feeling that she really did something terrible.
"...Sorry, you have to clean the mess I made." She said feeling a bit down.
"No, it's alright, we had fun but we're not making you drink again. Oh, by the way I didn't knew that you have a fit body. I just noticed that but sorry if I had to see it."
"It's okay, I just need some fresh air." Rain said as she gets up and goes outside.
'Brr...it's cold in this clothes. How does Reimu withstand the cold and breeze in these. Wait, oh... I forgot to wear my undergarments. No wonder it felt that cold.'
"Two days to meet that vampire huh? I wonder what she wants with me and if she can really help me. But first I need to meet that person Marisa said, while Reimu seems fine about it. Mhm... I'll drag her with me tomorrow. No matter the obstacle, I shall-" She suddenly stops because- "Hauuurgh!" She puked. "D-Damn it, just when I was in the middle of my self-motivating speech, here comes another one!" "Gauuurghh..."
It's a good thing she went out otherwise the room would have been filled with her mess.
'Sorry, Reimu looks like you had to clean this up too.'
Thus the day ended with Rain, making friends with the fairies and learned that she cannot drink alcohol that much.
