A/N: It's been a while since I updated the story. Sorry, my phone literally died so I have to replace it by buying a new one. Though I have to wait for a few months to save up some money for it. Anyways, here is the next chapter, be warned though this is a bit messy or rather more on gore and violence. Thank you for understanding and enjoy reading!
"Alteine Meran Deux Faurus..." Rain repeated the words that Emna had spoken.
Emna nods at her and says, "Yes, that's your name in your language...if we fully translate it to the common language, then your full name would be Raiden Rain-" She then quickly remembers something and stops abruptly, looking back to her superior who motions for her to return.
"...I'm sorry, I wanted to tell you more, but I couldn't say any more because time was up," Emna whispered to her. "Please be careful..." she then flew back to where Hecatia and Junko were.
It seems like a warning or something. Nevertheless, Rain is sure that the goddess is up to something. She has been feeling uneasy all this time and can't help but think that she is being led by the same goddess into something or she's just simply being played? Just what is her goal?
Contemplating about it is no use as she just have to see for herself as Hecatia begins to speak again.
"Now, where are we? Oh, yes, we're about to have a battle of bullets..." She then raises a finger before continuing. "Alright then, I mentioned some special rules to you earlier, didn't I?" She was very excited, like a little girl eager to finally be able to play.
"The special rules are simple! Let's talk about yours first. Basically, you'll win if you manage to survive long enough in our battle. Seems pretty easy as you only need to dodge our bullets, gracefully. Of course, I'll leave to you on how you plan to make your own bullets or projectiles. Lastly, she smiles once more. "You can't just fight us head on. You'll have to fight your way to us. Oh, and those are not in battle of bullets. It would be boring if we used that all the time in every battle so it's reserved for the last and the best."
"But we can't have you fighting looking like that." She then produced a bottle of some concoction in her right hand. It sparkled in the color of darkness and gave off a vibe that it was not safe to drink.
That's not all as she yet again pulls out another bottle out of thin air and like the other concoction it seems to be a potion of some sort. It has the color of red, much of that as the color of blood.
"When you are ready, drink the dark color potion. You may only drink the other one after that..." Hecatia grins yet again. "My advise is to drink it when you need to."
Rain wanted to question her about having to drink such potions but saying no to it may lead to a far worse situation and her instinct tells her to just go with it.
But somehow the goddess seemed to have read her mind as she said. "Skeptical? Of course you would considering how these bottles look like, but you won't be saying such a thing if I told you that these were made by none other than you."
Rain did not reply to her but stood there with an unchanging look on her face. There is no need to ask the goddess if this is true or not as clearly she knows more than Rain herself about the past but the real question is what kind of potions are these? What do they do? And why would she create them?
Such thoughts assailed her mind but figuring these out is not her top priority but she has an idea to keep quiet until the goddess eventually spills the beans.
"Keeping quiet are we? Perhaps you are confused? Well, I can spare a few explanations for you." Hecatia said as if she were being generous.
Emna is well aware what these potions are and they are still experimental. She could only stay quiet and not interfere.
As for Junko, she is very much intrigued by what is happening and the information she is receiving. She can't wait to actually test the person who performed such humiliation on the Lunarians.
Hecatia then personally flew down to Rain and handed the two potions to her. "Simply put, drinking these will reveal the answers you seek. Just remember to do as I told you earlier, drink the dark colored potion first and the last one is up to you when to drink it." She gave a small chuckle and flew back up.
Rain stared at the two bottles of potions in each of her hands.
'Staring at it won't reveal anything. I must play by the rules…'
It took but a moment for Rain to finally open the dark colored bottle of potion. As she did, it emitted a spark for a second. Without hesitation, she finally drank it and only took a few seconds before the effects began to take hold.
In a blink of an eye, a puff of smoke surrounded her and seemed to engulf her entirely. The next thing that happened put a grin on Hecatia's face. As Emna could only mumble the words "It works as it is intended," Hecatia knew she had succeeded in the first phase of her plan as she saw what emerged after smoke dispersed.
"What?" Rain asked to herself as she then realized that something must have happened. She was unharmed, she felt nothing out of the ordinary, but that wasn't the case as she finally caught on to what was wrong with her.
To start off, her voice had changed into a softer yet more stern tone, almost as if she had become a completely different person. As she looked down at her own body, she noticed that she was now wearing black gloves and by her side was her sword...or what it used to be, which had transformed into a war scythe. That's not all as every inch of her body had been altered.
Simply put, Hecatia or rather the potion changed her appearance back to when she was still working with them.
Rain exclaimed, "What's this?" as she examined herself. She noticed her eyes were healed and could even feel that her injuries had vanished.
'A healing potion?'
That's what she thought of first, but she eventually scratched that thought because a healing potion only heals and doesn't alter anything else.
"Ah, there we go! Just like how you looked back then!" Hecatia exclaimed with glee.
Rain glared at her with silence but the goddess was just amused by her silent action.
"Now we can carry on and start for real..." She looks at Emna and then instructs her. "...Time to let her crimes be restated as she clearly doesn't remember. Try to make it short and don't restate all Once done, we will begin."
That is why Emna's presence is needed here as she holds the list.
The judge slowly moves forward in the air as she looks down on her. The situation is like she is being sentenced for her crimes but this is not an actual trial but only a reminder.
"...I will now restate the crimes of Alteine Meran Deux Faurus..." Emna takes a deep breath before continuing. "...She is charged with murder, torture, psychological torture, magical torture, perfidy... Pardon me but there is much to say so I'll just restate the heavy ones... She committed attempted genocide, extermination, fratricide, dabbling in Dark Magic and most importantly..." Emna takes a deep breath as her expression turns grim. "...Disrupting Samsara by her use of dark magic and knowledge...specifically during their war on the moon. Additionally, she is charged with the crime of reviving the dead into the undead."
Rain could only listen in silence as she was confronted with the things she had done in the past. She knew she had done bad things, even if she couldn't remember them, and she didn't understand why it was this serious. So what were those other people saying about her being a hero? Were they lying? No, maybe they didn't know that she was this kind of person. A villain...
"No..." She softly uttered.
Surely there must be a reason why would she do all those things but she heard the Yama said about her war in the moon. It made her think back about that weird dream.
"Maybe... it wasn't a dream after all?"
Emna continued. "...It was at this time where she used the different Hell's forces and resources without permission. The siege of the Lunar Capital is a war campaign that ultimately failed despite the use of the terror weapon that she personally used called as 'Nihilus'. According to the witnesses, it has the appearance of the snout of a dragon and this weapon managed to fire a single but devastating shot that requires a lot of energy to operate. The use of magic is not enough so she used an alternative way. Energy is not confined to magic but instead it is present in all things. To cut short what she used as an alternative is..." She paused for a second. "...Souls. An estimate of a thousand or more souls have been sacrificed. All of them have been severed from the cycle of Samsara due to the nature of the weapon. As it fired, those standing along its way, including the moon forces were simply decimated or rather they were erased from existence. This is the weapon that penetrated the walls of the Lunar Capital. These are the crimes that the person before me has commited."
Hearing this makes Rain feel sick. Just imagining what her friends faces would make when they hear this. The next question strickens her. What would she feel if she has her memory back? Perhaps she would just simply shrug this off? Worse is that she would just laugh at it. Should she just give up to avoid such a scenario? It would be best to not let this monster regain anything for everyone's sake. That would explain how she is not normal to begin with. The closer she is to the truth, the more things would get worse.
'Honestly... I'm...tired of this. Everywhere I go, there are always bad things happening. It's okay if it is just me suffering, I feel like I deserved that but for my friends to be dragged in...' She thought to herself as her spiralling emotions begins to take a hold of her.
She stood there motionless. Unaware that the scene around her had changed and Hecatia and the other two had vanished. She was so taken by the situation that she did not noticed the sound of the footsteps coming in behind her.
"Yaaah!" A man shouted as he lunged at her with a sword and aims to stick it in her neck.
It was at that moment she snapped out of it. She dodged in the nick of time. Looking at the man with fornlorn expression.
"Tch..." The man scowled.
"So you too, huh?" Rain assumed this guy wants to fight her for reasons. Maybe he is out for revenge or something.
Just as she said that she heard a loud piercing sound approaching her from behind. She quickly turns and as if time have slow down she saw a what seemed to be a tiny metal object passed by. If she didn't dodged then it would have hit her head and her brain splattering on the ground.
She quickly turns her gaze to where the supposed metal object came from and saw yet another man. He was holding a long object and she can see him doing something and he then aimed that object at her and it launched yet another metal object at her. To which she dodged again.
"Doesn't look like a bow to me. hmm?" She turned her head back to the man with the sword and noticed that there are now more of them. They are armed with different weapons and they don't look like they are here to be friends with her.
"Looks like a mob, out on a witch hunt. In this case... I'm the witch..."
She is surrounded and there is no where to escape. From the looks of it these men are out for blood, her blood.
The area around her then begins to shake as they slowly rise from the ground. The piece of area she is standing on is shaped like a circle whichis no doubt an arena. The destination is probably where Hecatia and the others are waiting. She has to leave this place alive and tell the others about her decision.
Rain looks at her own weapon briefly but she shakes her head. As she did that a voice echoed through her mind.
'Come on, fight back. You are surrounded by dead men. Literally!'
Ignoring the voice, she keeps on dodging them and trying to disarm them instead of actually killing them. She's getting tired and they keep on increasing. She could hear the others cheering for her death. She can't blame them for whatever reason they have.
"What is she doing?" Junko asked Hecatia as they watch from afar.
Hecatia laughs and replied. "As expected from her but this is not what I wanted. I need to see if she is indeed her."
Junko just shakes her head and she knows asking this goddess is like talking to a wall. She just have to wait and see.
"Gaah!" One of the men yelled as he gets kicked by Rain.
"She's tough! How are we going to earn our freedom if a measly girl is kicking our asses?!"
"How should I know?! She can dodge bullets easily. She's not an ordinary human. Even with guns, we're having a tough time dealing with her." The voice of the annoyed man in a suit says. "Back at the Earth, just one bullet is enough to kill... I guess Hell is not what I thought would be even with these weapons."
This is what Hecatia is implying earlier. That Hell has people like this arrogant people coming in.
"That goddess said that we'll be able to leave Hell if we kill this girl. I thought at first it would have been easy but if a god is having problems dealing with her then it means that we too would." He said as he watched the their target plow through their attacks with ease but he could see that she is getting tired.
Rain could feel her body getting heavier. It was not fatigued but a mental strain due to many emotions she have been going through. She keeps hearing voices that urges her to fight back.
'These trash are in the way. Do you want your life to end here? I could tap in for you if you let me.'
"Urgh!" She was struck with a numbness that came out of nowhere. This was enough for her to be distracted and an opening was seen. Fortunately, she grazed the bullet that almost hit her in the face.
'Why resist? You know what needs to be done and yet you won't accept it. What are you trying to prove?'
"Leave me alone!" She shouted as she punched through the ground, sending a shock that pushed her assailants away temporarily.
Who is this voice that keeps talking to her? She wants it to stop, but she doesn't know how.
'Listen here, me and that darn thing are merging and if you let yourself be killed then you won't know the truth...'
"The truth?" She mumbles to herself.
'Yes, why you don't have your memories and you'll know who are indeed your enemies. Thanks to the seal weakening, we're able to talk to you. Now, do yourself a favor and rest... we'll take things from here.'
She was in a state where she didn't know what to do, and her mind kept telling her she needed to rest. This voice was very compelling. She thought to herself that this voice was there to help her in this moment. She's tired, why is she still resisting? So, she let herself have her rest as she closed her eyes. Her brain went numb, and something else took over.
Everything went silent for a while. Her foes stared at her with confusion, seeing her close her eyes and remain immobile. Perhaps they saw this as an opportunity to finish her off, as she was tired. So they attacked.
"Now's our chance!" the man shouted as he charged forward with his sword. Aiming it at the girl's neck.
Clang!
A sound resonated throughout the arena, and those who witnessed it were filled with shock as they saw the sword come into contact with the girl's neck.
"Yawn...you people talk too much." The girl lets out a stifling yawn as if nothing happened.
"...Scales..." The man who attacked her said.
Indeed, her neck had hardened into scales and was now a pure white color and they could feel a cold chill emanating from her. This was her murderous aura creeping up on them.
"Hmm? Yes, one of my defenses. A stick like this won't penetrate it. Having said that. I believe this is yours..."
In a blink of an eye, the man who attacked her fell to the ground, blood gushing out from his neck as if he were the one that got attacked. What had happened was that he had been impaled by his own sword.
"You'll deal with me now, pests. If she can't kill you, then I will." The supposed Rain said as the scales around her neck extended throughout her body. The pupil of her eyes changed into that of elliptical.
"Now who wants SOME?! Ehehehe! I'll make this worth while! My turn..." She taunts them as she gives a maniacal laugh and twisted her neck in an eerie way a normal human couldn't have done.
She raised her enormous scythe as she kicked the dead body near her off the arena. The kick was so strong that parts of it flew in different directions.
As the men yelled and charged at her all at once, she swung her enormous war scythe at them. Cleaving those who were unfortunate enough to meet its blade.
The arena became a bloodbath, and the men finally knew who they were dealing with.
"How boring! I'm barely moving here and not even breaking a sweat!" she exclaimed as she broke the neck of the man who was desperately trying to break free. The sound of the bone crunching resonated in the minds of the remaining men.
"Like a paper down you go."
The man in the suit is watching her every move and concludes that she's toying with them.
"We're going down like flies!"
"I... just wanted to go home!"
It was at this moment that none have the courage to approach her after all that happened to those who try.
"What? We're having a staring contest now? Well, in that case..."
Suddenly, she extended her arm towards one of the men, and a giant black hand emerged from it, quickly grabbing the unlucky victim and dragging him back to her. This was her using her chi and concentrated it on her arm to manifest such a thing.
He was screaming and kicking, but it was futile. Even if she were hurled by countless bullets, they wouldn't penetrate the scales guarding her.
"We have a winner! The prize is death! Hahaha!" Her wide grin sends shiver down to his spine.
She used her war scythe to slice off both his arms and legs, blood spurted forth like a fountain and the agonizing scream filled the men in horror as they saw him being mutilated in front of them.
"Clean! Stylish! Lethal! Perfect! Ahahaha!" She exclaimed as she kicked the still-alive man off the arena, possibly causing him to die from falling.
"DIE!!!"
She was not the same girl that they have been fighting earlier. They have just awakened something really monstrous.
They keep firing bullets at her but she just shrugs it off as she slowly walks up to them. She could kill them swiftly but she didn't because it would be boring. The hunter does what it wants to its prey.
Her last use of her scythe is at a guy the tried to attack her with a knife. She buried the tip of her scythe at his chin and it emerged at his head along with blood. She then pulls it and his head came off along with his spine.
A maniacal smile spreads across her face. She then vanishes from their sight and appeared next to her next victim.
He didn't have time to react as his face was grabbed by her and she pulls him and slams his face to ground, the impact was hard enough that his face is also mashed up but she's not quite done as dashes along with him while his face is still on the ground. Leaving a trail of blood as he screams in agony. By the time she is done half of his face is gone and she tosses him aside.
"RAAAHHHH!!! KYAHAHAHA!!!" she loudly cackled as she looks at bloody mess she made she made. She then takes the head off that was stuck on her scythe earlier. She looks at it and the face of the beheaded man was that of pure horror and shocked. His dead blood shot eyes tells all the feelings he felt during that time.
Junko who was watching this carnage unfold looks at Hecatia with a serious look.
"If this is the one that traumatized the Lunarians. Well, can't say that I agree."
Hecatia chuckles at her comment and replies. "This is not her. She's more or less far more calm and more calculative than just killing like that."
Junko raises an eyebrow. "What do you mean?"
"What I mean is that this is new. That person fighting now is not her but rather a different person. Hmm... I guess, I was right on my intuition." She smiles at her own thinking while Junko just shrugs it as she doesn't want to ask more questions and continued watching.
Emna on the other hand has her own opinion on this matter.
'That's not Alteine... she's a person with a standard. The question is... who is the one am I seeing now?' She thought to herself as she silently watches.
All the men who are still alive at this point started to sweat and others puke at the sight. The man in the suit is not spared at this sight. He is disturb by this even though he has seen such things back when he is alive but this one takes the cake that makes him horrified at such cruelty.
He then saw her managed to grab another poor man and she used her brute strength to slam him to the ground with all her might. The force was so immense that a single slam would have ended the guy's life, but she didn't stop and continued to slam his body from left to right. Blood kept splattering all over and the sound of flesh being pounded could be heard all around.
She only stopped once almost nothing is left.
Such cruelty could only have been committed by a monster.
Even though they are great in numbers it fails to overwhelm their foe. Instead, they are like lambs that have gathered only to be slaughtered.
"Auugh!" Another man yelled as he is grabbed by her.
"Shhh! Stay still as I do this." She held the man by the neck and began to pump him full of energy.
What she's doing is giving the man a huge surge of energy within his body and then throwing him to the others as his body inflates and bursts like a tomato.
"Well, that's fun! Still, you guys are still that many?" she asked, but no one replied.
'Stop.'
"Huh?"
Another voice came from inside her head. The one in control knew who it was.
"So you're awake?" she asked herself as she looked at the men who were standing still, having seen her talking to herself.
"What do you mean I'm too slow? Of course, I am! I'm having fun here and yet you came and spoiled it." She frowns as she said that.
'You've been enjoying this too much and putting too much strain on the body. Remember the seal is weakened not broken. In any case she remembers all this. She would not take this lightly.'
However, this voice was met with an arrogant response.
"Pfft! Whatever, I just did what she can't do. You wanted a turn, do you? Hmm? You went on a rampage last time and you tell me I went too far?"
'I was just excited and that vampire annoyed me.'
With a sigh she relaxes her body and said.
"Guess, that's it for me. You guys are lucky, you'll get to die without pain. Dasvidaniya, idiots."
With that the girl closes its eyes again and the scales begins to fade. Though this time nobody tries to attack her and waited.
What happened next was the girl's hair turned into a pink color as if it has the color of cherry blossom.
The moment this girl opened her eyes. She quickly lunges at the nearby man and decapitated him and the next suffered the same fate.
Whoever switched with her is just set on killing like a machine. Their numbers are dropping more quickly.
However, the she suddenly stops at the center of the arena and mumbled.
"Hmm... let me see if this works..." They heard her say.
After that, a bright flash of light was seen for a second, and they saw her glowing in a pink light. She stood there and waited for them.
The man in the suit backed away quickly, almost to the edge of the moving arena. There he saw many of his men, moving toward her as if they were charmed.
"So...peaceful..." He hears one of them utter.
"Beautiful..."
"I feel warm..."
He shouted at them, "You idiots! What are you doing?!" But none seemed to be free from this trance.
As one of them approached the pink-haired girl, she smiled menacingly and instantly drained the life from the man.
What's even stranger is that the man she just drained died with a smile on his face as if he had peacefully passed away.
"Ah, I feel refreshed... too bad I can't absorb them fully."
She keeps this up for a while and the arena fell silent as they all have died except for one man who stayed at the edge. She looks at him with curiosity and said. "So there are still people who can resist? Do not fret, for death will come to all but for now I bid farewell as the main host is waking up." With that she closes her eyes and everything turned back to normal.
The man in the suit remained silent as he is the last man standing. True, he is already dead and his men but this is Hell. No matter how many time they die, they'll be back eventually but that doesn't mean everything will be okay. The torture will still continue as their souls repent for the things that they have done.
"Hell is a place you don't want to be. I should have listened to the old man." He said as he awaits for the girl to awaken.
The arena stops at its destination and everything is a mess. Lots of things to clean up if there is such a job here in Hell then that guy would be having the worse day ever.
Rain in just a few moments awakens to the carnage that just happened and a surge of pain strikes her as her mind replays all the things that have happened and what she did. The last time this happened she has no recollection of what happened but this time she remembers it clearly.
Her expression changed as she looks around. It has a mix of sadness and a hint of hatred for herself. After all, this is her doing.
"... I just wanted to get my memories back and get answers. But now? I'm not so sure myself." She said and this is directed at the man who is looking back at her.
"I'm sorry, for what happened." She apologizes to him which shocked the man as he now has an idea that this girl is not in control of what just happened. He could only nod at her for a moment as he process all the information he collected.
In a few moments he begins to talk. "You won't be going anywhere not until I'm dead. So make it quick."
Rain looks at him for a moment and then acknowledges the man's request as she grabs her weapon and walks up to him.
The man braces for his second death and looks at her straight in the eye. How ironic, as she looks like a shinigami. Perhaps that's the reason they stood no chance but he saw was beyond his understanding.
However, Rain picks up a sword on the ground and tosses it to him.
"Pick it up." She said.
He looks at the sword and knew exactly what this girl wants. He chuckles and grins at her while doing what she said.
"You're one heck of a warrior. Nothing like those two versions of you."
"... I won't kill those who cannot fight back."
The man stood straight and gaze at her. With the sword in hand, he makes a stance.
"A fine stance, let me ask for your name before we begin." Rain said as she readies herself.
"Kazuhiro Yasuda. Former Yakuza boss." The man named himself.
Even though it is not her usual weapon. She feels like she knows how to use it well. Of course, by how those two used it. It is evident that she too would know. After all, she is a seasoned killer. That's what she thought.
She takes her stance and repeated his name. "Kazuhiro Yasuda... a fine name. I'll keep it in mind." She then pointed her war scythe at him. "Ready when you are. I won't be holding back."
That's all she could do. Give him a warrior's death. To be honest, why does she feel remorse about this? If it were the others, they would have ripped him apart without a second thought. Then, is she not a monster? Maybe it was those two who committed such crimes? But it was still her body they used. Regardless, she thinks there is no excuse for what she has done. She's going to make things right and no longer will she allow anyone to control or manipulate her.
Manipulated? Somehow this word makes her angry. Why is she angry? Maybe there is a reason, but what she needs to do now is get out of here and get these two voices in her head to talk. Then she will settle things with the other people she made promises to and finally talk to Reimu about something that could help resolve the situation she's in.
Kazuhiro knows the rules of a duel and he then adjust his black tie and rolls up his sleeves, revealing that he has tattoos. With that he loudly yells his battle cry as he attacks Rain.
He could not reach her, no matter what he tried. Unlike those he had seen with the other two. She had style and discipline. Was she pitying him? The thought crossed his mind, but he quickly dismissed it.
Then he saw here a mere moments and then he was on the ground. A single slash from her. He falls to the ground but not without a smile as he was reminded of how he died in the first place. It was a duel between his police friend and him. No guns just their swords, settling it with honor.
She was too fast for him and now he is dying. He takes a final look at her and saw her eyes full of guilt but also with determination. He smiles once again and finally closed his eyes and breathes his last.
Rain then looks at him and sighs. With this event she's more determined to protect her friends. She rather sacrifice herself than those whom she cares about. What she did today will haunt her in her sleep.
The first part of the game is over. The second will begin soon as she walks over her destination. Another arena but it's massive compared to the last one.
She steps in and saw a person was already waiting for her there.
As she looks at that person. They spoke in a casual way.
"Well, well! If it isn't Certain Death! Haven't seen you since you retired, Chief!"
His body is a hulking mass of muscle, but what's worse are the raging fires that engulf some parts of it. Even his war axe is engulfed in fiery flames.
He is an Oni, and one of the Kishin Chiefs of Hell. His name is Kaki, which translates to "Fire Oni".
"Well, chief. You know I'm excited to fight against you. What a time to be alive! But unfortunately as much I want to battle with you alone..." as he speaks an attack came from just behind him and is aimed at Rain.
A stream of concentrated water came gushing forth in a quick manner.
"Huh?!" She quickly dodges by rolling and the rock behind her gets hit and the water goes through it as if it was not solid at all.
Kaki snorts as he commented. "Well, that's not honorable, Suiki."
Another seemingly oni appears and stands beside him. Suiki, which translates water oni.
"I'm merely following orders, Kaki."
"Whatever." He replied.
Rain stood up to get her weapon back, but then a powerful wind started to blow on her, and it wasn't just an ordinary one as it started cutting into her skin.
"Ah!" She swiftly grabs her war scythe as she moves out of the way of the gust of wind.
Another oni came down from the air and said, "Losing your touch, chief?" Fuuki, the wind oni, said.
And while she was still confused about what was happening, she felt a presence behind her and quickly raised her war scythe to block an attack.
"Hoh? You sensed me? As expected from our chief." A shadowy figure then backs out and goes to the side of his fellow Kishin Chiefs.
"Of course she did, Ongyoki. She still has the skills." Kaki laughs.
"Hmph..." Ongyoki grins as he readies his two daggers again.
There's four of them now. Rain could only look at them with caution and confusion. The voice from before warned her.
'You're on your own this time. We're quite spent on that last one. Anymore, then the seal will push us in and you'll suffer the backlash. We'll be sleeping to gain more energy and please don't die on such a measly fight.' The voice said and fades out.
She sighed as she doesn't want them to be in control again. She doesn't need their help. She looks back at her new challenge and readies herself. Even though they are indeed powerful if it will cause more chaos then she rather not and fight using her own power.
Perhaps this is the second part of the game? If so soon she'll be battling the Four Kishin Chiefs of hell. What could be going on in Hecatia's mind to request such beings to fight her?
