Sit Down, I'll Get It

Monica carried a few plates out of her kitchen towards the dining table, where Chandler was putting Erica in her high chair. Jack was happily babbling away in his own high chair, banging his little plastic spoon against the tray.

Monica placed the babies food next to her and Chandler's places and Chandler's food down in front of him just as he sat down.

She double-checked that the babies had their sippy cups then headed back inside the kitchen to grab her own plate. She'd had a long day, trying to take care of their children and their house (especially with Chandler at work and both babies now crawling) but she was looking forward to sitting down at the dinner table with her family.

"Looks amazing, Monica," Chandler complimented, as he gently tried to remove Jack's spoon from his hand, so that he could start feeding him.

"Thank you," Monica replied with a smile. "Oh, the water jug!"

Chandler gave Jack his spoon back and stood up. "Sit down, I'll get it."

Monica waved at him dismissively. "No, it's fine, I can get it."

"Monica," Chandler said firmly. "You haven't been off your feet all day. Sit down. I'll get it. It'll take two seconds and neither of these two are fussing yet."

Monica went to argue but instead gave a tired smile and nodded, sitting herself down at the table. Chandler quickly headed into the kitchen and brought out the jug, pouring Monica a glass of water before setting it down again. He pressed a quick kiss to her head then sat back down and returned his attention to trying to get his son to eat, rather than work on his drumming skills.

Monica picked up Erica's food and began feeding her, smiling over at her husband as he sweetly fed their son. She couldn't help but feel so lucky that this was her life now. It was all she wanted and now, she had it all.
