This was inspired by the time Tammy found Hannah's divorce papers jn her desk afyer searching for a paperclip
--
Jocelyn hadn't been working with them for long before becoming known as the go-to for office supplies. Staples, paper clips, post-it notes, she had them all and more and never said no to whoever needed it. Her supplies were open to them even if she wasn't there, she had told them once.
That's why Tammy thought nothing of it when she opened Jocelyn's supply drawer one afternoon in search of more staples.
Except she found more than staples.
She found photographs.
Photographs of Jocelyn with another woman. The drawer being opened and closed so much had caused the pictures to come loose from the stack they had been put in. There appeared to be three pictures in total. The first was a grinning selfie of Jocelyn and the brunette woman, their cheeks pressed together to ensure they were both in the picture. The second picture was of the mystery woman in mid laughter, her head thrown back in a joyful, carefree manner. The last picture was taken by someone else a few feet away from them. Jocelyn and the woman were sharing a kiss with a gorgeous sunset sky in the background. It was a beautiful moment.
"Find what you're looking for, Gregorio?"
Tammy's head snapped toward the direction of the voice and found Hannah looking at her.
"Yeah, yeah I did." She nodded. "Need anything while I'm here?"
"Uh," Hannah paused to take inventory of supplies on her desk, "Post-it notes, maybe?"
Tammy picked up a pack of blue ones. "Catch," she said after tossing them in the air.
Hannah caught the pack with both hands and flashed her a smile. "Thanks."
"No problem."
Tammy finally pulled out the pack of staples she had originally gone over there for and closed the drawer.

A couple days had passed since then but the pictures never left Tammy's mind, the memory of them poking at her whenever Jocelyn was around. If Jocelyn had any suspicion that she had seen the photographs, she never showed it. But certainly she had to know someone would come across them eventually, right?
Tammy told herself she was gonna let it go, that she was going to act like she had never seen them but she wanted to know more. It wasn't just the agent side of her, but a genuine curiosity to learn more about the newest member of the team.
Said curiosity was further heightened when Jocelyn walked into work that day. Her usual happy, bright demeanor was clouded by dark circles under her eyes and poor concentration. Her focus was far away from the paperwork in front of her but she was still forcing herself to slowly chip away at it, having to shake herself from her thoughts now and then.
Is it the pictures? Tammy wondered.
Whatever drink she had brought along with her that day (usually some kind of homemade smoothie, which Tammy would admit were actually good since she had tried some) had turned bad by the time she actually drank it, prompting her to grimace and stand from her desk to go make something in the kitchen. Tammy finished the page of paperwork she was on before going to the kitchen as well, bringing her half-full mug of coffee with her.
Jocelyn was drying her travel cup as Tammy walked in, her back against the sink and her legs crossed at the ankles. The strawberry blonde caught sight of her in her peripheral vision and glanced her direction, giving a friendly nod.
"Hey Tammy."
Her tone didn't have a fraction of the smile it usually did whenever she greeted her or anyone else on the team.
"Hey baby," she replied.
There were only a small group of people she ever called 'baby', 'babe', or other terms of endearment and she discovered that it fit Jocelyn too. Not to mention she liked the way it made her blush at times, the color highlighting the freckles already visibly present on her face.
She ditched her coffee cup on the island counter and stood in front of Jocelyn, putting her hands on her shoulders. The innocent move caused Jocelyn to stop what she was doing, her towel covered hand stuffed inside the cup while her left hand held it by the bottom and at a 45 degree angle. Slowly, hazel eyes traveled up Tammy's body until she got to her face, finding brown eyes full of concern softly gazing at her.
"What's wrong, sweetie? You're not acting yourself today."
Jocelyn felt like someone grabbed ahold of her vocal chords and squeezed, stealing her ability to speak. After a few moments, a sigh escaped her lips and she quietly cleared her throat, shaking loose the invisible grip on her voice.
"I know you saw the pictures."
The admission was no louder than a whisper.
"I'm sorry," Tammy apologized, "I shouldn't have looked."
"It's not your fault. They shouldn't even be here. I shouldn't have put them there when I found them," Jocelyn shrugged.
"How did you even know it was me?"
A small, confused frown briefly appeared on Tammy's face and Jocelyn had to bite the inside of her cheek to not smile at it.
"Because you always grab a pack of staples from the same stack in my drawer."
"Seriously?"
Jocelyn chuckled at her deadpan response, looking away to set the cup and towel on the drying rack to the right.
Tammy smiled at the sight of a sparkle in Jocelyn's eye from her simple chuckle.
"Is that why you're so upset though? The pictures?" Tammy asked.
"Sort of? Today would've been our anniversary. The breakup happened years ago but it still hurts."
"Sounds like a serious relationship."
Tammy moved beside her and mirrored her stance, their shoulders touching as she crossed her legs at the ankle.
"She was my first girlfriend. My first serious relationship, first kiss, my first time. I thought I was gonna marry her, you know?" She glanced at her again. "We grew up together, so we already had a solid friendship going in. The break up was a mutual decision but-"
"Still hurt a lot," Tammy finished.
"To put it simply," Jocelyn nodded. "We were both busy with our budding careers and she wanted to stay in Pennsylvania and I wanted to move out of state."
Though Pennsylvania held good memories for Jocelyn, it also had its big share of bad ones. Moving away had given her a chance to heal from the trauma of her youth. That trauma still reared its head from time to time but the breakup was the only wound still pulsing strong, still haunting her with the thoughts of the life she could've had if she had stayed.
"We should go out tonight, me and you," Tammy said, nudging her gently.
"Yeah?"
Jocelyn looked over at her, a gentle smile on her face.
"Yeah. Drinks, dinner, whatever we wanna do. Just go out and have fun tonight."
Hannah already had plans with Naomi tonight so she couldn't come along, but it had been a couple of weeks since just the two of them had hung out and Jocelyn needed the distraction, so it was perfect.
"It's a date," Jocelyn grinned as she pushed off the sink. Realizing what she said, her heart sank and she turned to Tammy to correct herself, "I mean-"
Tammy held a hand up, a smirk on her face. "I know what you mean. I'm looking forward to it too."
"Thanks T."
"Anytime baby."
Grabbing her coffee from the island counter, she turned back around to see Jocelyn sharing a smile and a few words with Hannah, visibly doing better than a few minutes before.
