Vash walked down the hall towards the cliff,having already devoured his first meal of the day
The morning itself was crisp and cool. A far cry from the desert hellscape from long ago passing past a group of trees vash stopped to admire the beauty
"Hi, vash." Turning around, he spots the blond from yesterday, the one without the boobies
"Hey, juane, right?" Vash said, extending his hand to the younger male
Grabbing it, juane responded
"Yup, short sweet, and rolls off the tongue. Ladies love it." He said with a fake confidence
"Well, it's good to be with a bird of my flock. My name is vash, the stampede,ace gunman and Humanoid Typhoon! You can call me vash." He said boisterously, fixing a smile
"Wow, an ace gunman!" Juane said with amazement
"That's right, back in my day, I was known as the terror of Gunsmoke, a walking natural disaster." Vash said with a cocky smile basking in the admiration from the younger man.
"That's so cool. Maybe I can be like you someday!" Admired juane
"I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. The path I walk is a hard one filled with heartbreak and perpetual loneliness."
Vash said overdramatically
"Oh no, that's so sad, mr.Vash," said Ruby suddenly with tears in her eyes
"Sometimes it's too much to bear, but I must keep living to keep the memories of the ones I love alive!" Vash finished striking a dramatic pose
Without warning, Ruby rushed forward and hugged him
"That's so sad, Mr.vash. i wished there was a way to help." T-T
Suddenly, there was another pair of arms around him
"That's so manly and badass, I knew we were one and the same when we both threw up in the same trashcan. I'm with you 100%"
Vash was suddenly overcome with emotion not of sadness or sorrow but happiness for the love and support of total strangers
"You guys are the best!"
He said, returning the gug to both of them
"You three are absolute idiots. how can becon allow children to join such a prestigious academy." Said weiss
"Wow."Suddenly, his right wing departed him b-lining to the snow princess
"Hi, my name is Juane Arc, its short swee-"
"I didn't ask. and why is that old hobo here? He doesn't becon have age restrictions to stop pedophiles like him from attending"
"You're a pedophile!"said ruby, pointing an accusatory finger at the white-haired teen
"That doesn't make sense, i'm the only one here that's the appropriate age to be attending becon."
"I'm old enough."said juane, raising his hand
"Yes, but you're an idiot. So your opinion is not valid."
"Look, I think we got off on the wrong foot."
Said vash calmly
"My name is vash the Stampede, and this is Ruby and jaune." He said jestering to himself and them, respectively
"I do not wish to associate myself with the likes of you three. So far, all you've shown is immaturity and a lack of discipline. The way you three act brings shame to this school, and i must guess, becon it has lowered its standards if they're allowing children, pedophiles, and the mentality deficit to attempt the initiation." And with that, she left briskly leaving the three in her dust
"Wow she's really bitchy."
Turning he looked behind him only to see he's the only one left
"All applicants please make your way to the cliff. the initiation starts in 5 minutes"
Vash made his way to the cliff side
"Good to see you show up Mr.vash" said ozpin
"Of course, ozpin, it is my honor and duty to be here to mentor the new generation of huntsmen." He said dramatically, bowing to the younger man
Feeling ice on his skin he looked up spotting goodwitch glaring at him
"Hi, is there something in my teeth?" He asked playfully
"You shouldn't be so casual around your boss, especially if you haven't been. Hired yet!" She reprimanded
"Oh it's fine Glenda. Mr.vash can you stand here please." Ozpin said
"Of course, sir!" Vash enthusiastically stood on a square
"Here's your mission for this initiation. You're to ensure the safety of mis Rose and to make sure no serious harm is to come to her." Stated ozpin
"Sir, wouldn't that be unfair to the rest of the students?"vash asked seriously
"It would, she's not guaranteed to pass if that's what you're assuming, she's an important individual and must be protected at all cost." He finished
Vsha seemed conflicted looking to the younger girl he came to his decision
"Consider it done." Vash said
"Good man, by the way, do you have your landing strategy sorted?"
Vash only looked to him in confusion
"My what?"
"Oh dear, that's a shame. Nevertheless I have the utmost faith that you'll succeed mr.vash. Glenda."
And suddenly vash was was flying
Vash walked away from the impact crafter following his landing
"Thank the lord. I didn't break anything."
Stopping to pop his back, a loud crack followed
"He should really be more careful with his employees. He's lucky it was me, or he would have a lawsuit on his hands."
Stopping vash listened closely
Hearing low growls
A creature pitch black in appearance steps out in the clearing glaring at vash
"Hey there, buddy." Without warning, the beast attacks
"Ahhhhhhh! Why does everything always try to kill me!" Vash said, dodging the evil creatures' razor-sharp claws
in a bid to catch vash, the beast overextended itself seeing the opportunity vash went in and bashed the evil animals skull with the side of his handgun disorienting kaynine moving swiftly he grabbed its plated forehead with his left arm as a spike jettisoned through its skull quickly retraining back into vash's left hand
The beast went still moving swiftly out of the way the carcass crashed down where vash was just standing previously
With a tear in his eye, vash began
"I'm sorry I had to do that,I know you can't help it, but you're just too dangerous to the people of this land."
Vash never liked killing since he defeated his brother all those years ago. vash came to a decision to do what he believed was right. It didn't help having his brother berate him for his stupidity.
Looking back, vash couldn't help to agree. He was naive and overly idealistic.
But that was a long time ago, before he became truly acquainted with true inhuman evil, the type that kills indiscriminately
Like how ruby is going to be if he doesn't get a move on.
"Now, what are my options?"
Vash decided he would vary we'll couldn't see the flight paths of the students with the canopy blocking line of sight and wandering aimlessly is not going to help him locate one individual in a while forest
