Prologue: Sit Back, Relax, and Enjoy!
Hestia Familia, Hearth Mansion
"Aaaaaagghhhhhhhhh!" A shrill scream echoed throughout the Hearth Mansion. "He left meeee! He's never coming back!" Hestia wailed, pacing frantically as tears streamed down her face. Her Familia watched helplessly as their goddess spiraled into despair. Bell had been missing for a week.
"Don't say that, Goddess Hestia," Welf said, trying to calm her down. "We'll find him soon."
"AND WHERE WOULD THAT BE?!" Hestia snapped, her voice shrill with panic.
"T-The dungeon, maybe?" Lily offered hesitantly.
"Well then go and FIND HIM! Why are you all just standing there—Aaaghhhhh!"
Before anyone could respond, a swirling portal opened beneath their feet, pulling them into a whirlwind of light and sound. The next thing they knew, they were seated in a massive, brightly lit room filled with other people from Orario. The chairs they sat on were impossibly comfortable—so much so that it was almost unsettling.
"Where 're we?" A familiar voice called out from nearby.
"Lokiii!" Hestia shouted, immediately recognizing her rival goddess.
"Itsy-Bitsy? What 're ye' doin' here? And what's this place?" Loki asked, looking as confused as everyone else.
"Hello, dear guests. I am your host for the performance you've been invited to. You may refer to me as Lux," an unfamiliar voice announced. It belonged to a mysterious man who seemed to appear out of nowhere. "I have brought you all here—"
"Invited?!" Mord's voice rang out indignantly. "We were dragged here agai-mmph!" His words were cut off as his mouth was suddenly taped shut by an unseen force.
"As I was saying," Lux continued calmly, "I have brought you all here to witness something extraordinary. A glimpse into alternate realities—different versions of your world."
"Where's my Bell-kun!" Hestia screamed, cutting him off again. "If you did anything to—Mmmmph!" She was silenced mid-threat by the same mysterious force that gagged Mord.
"Calm yourselves," Lux said smoothly. "Bell Cranel is perfectly fine. In fact, he is the centerpiece of what you're about to see: a… journey, shall we call it? Yes, a journey through the multiverse."
"The… multiverse?" Lily asked hesitantly.
"Indeed," Lux explained with a slight smile. "The multiverse is a collection of alternate realities—worlds where events unfolded differently from your own. Together, these universes comprise everything that exists: the entirety of space, time, matter, energy, information, and the physical laws and constants that describe them. To sum it up, they are alternate versions of this world, and in many of these worlds, Bell Cranel is, simply put, the main character. You will see him as a hero, a king, a god… and even as a villain."
The room fell silent as everyone processed his words.
"You mean we're going to watch different versions of Bell-sama?" Haruhime asked timidly.
"Precisely," Lux replied. "You may find these alternate realities enlightening… or disturbing. Either way, I suggest you sit back, relax, and enjoy the show."
"But why us?" Finn asked warily. "Why bring all of Orario here for this?"
"Especially myself; I believe I should not be here, since I must ensure that sure the dungeon doesn't go haywire," an old man claimed, surprising everyone with his presence. This old man was none other than the Primal God of the Sky, Ouranos!
"No need to fret, Ouranos, I have already dealt with that; moreover, you may rise from your seat as much as you want until the show is over," Lux replied, silencing Ouranos from saying anything else. The sly tease was not lost to Ouranos, either—the fact he must remain seated while using his prayers to keep monsters at bay has been nothing but suffocating.
"To answer your question, Braver: because," Lux said cryptically, "the choices you make in this reality can ripple across others. Consider this… an opportunity to learn."
"And what if we don' wanna to watch?" Loki challenged.
"Oh, you'll watch," Lux gave a dark chuckle. "You'll find it hard not to." With that, he snapped his fingers, and the lights in the room dimmed until only the bright glow of a massive screen remained.
As everyone stared at the screen in anticipation and unease, Lux spoke one last time:
"Let's begin with something… more dramatic."
The screen flickered to life as Lux's voice echoed through the room:
"This is Bell Cranel… but not the one you know."
And with that ominous statement hanging in the air, the first alternate reality began unfolding before their eyes.
