Disclaimer: I do not own the Teen Titans 2003 this is a work of fan fiction please support the official releases.
You know originally, I thought this would be a difficult one to write as I like Cyborg as a character… (Even though this story will likely get no readership, but hey Teen Titans wasn't the BBRAE show sorry) … I actually had fun with this one.
I love me a good western and it just felt natural to go there. As well as setting up the Titans West, which are my own personally choices by the way not any from the comics this is still just 03 canon, but I've thrown in a few references, the main villains are original and a nod to a very dumb but watchable western blockbuster I used to enjoy growing up.
I'll also expand on this in future stories if I get that far. This story takes place simultaneously with the next one 'Idiot Box' which is BBRAE focused so there's a bit of that in here at the start and end. These two stories will be the last filler ones and whilst they are standalone, events of the previous story 'Darkfire' are relevant here.
Hopefully someone enjoys as always, leave a comment or follow, fav, kudos if you have the time. I always appreciate them. Every one.
Ok here we go!
Cyborg Out West
Sometimes events leave a mark, whether unspoken or redressed they are always there lingering.
Garfield doesn't like mentioning it but the night he became the 'Beast' still sits in his memory daily. Raven would deny it though in truth some small part does too.
Nightwings battle with an illusion. An illusion in the form of their greatest enemy 'Slade', still to this day the question of why it happened has taken root at the back of his mind.
Now, Cyborg has Melnox. A being who has twice now walked away from the Titans as if they weren't even there. Someone they couldn't beat. It gnawed away at him; of all the villains they fought they couldn't in his words best 'One robot from space' given all the others they fought.
The incident had left a sizable impact on the team. Particularly Starfire, who upon having her brother returned to her, had quickly been snatched away by the hands of fate. She had not taken it well.
Nightwings actions that day had put a strain on their relationship and the two had grown distant. The word 'break up' wasn't mentioned though others were tossed around amongst the other three Titans.
Starfire began taking trips to Tamaran, alone. She would be gone for days or sometimes a week, then return back as if nothing had happened, same cheerful face as always.
Nightwing returned back to Gotham, like Starfire it could be for days and each time he came back he never talked about it, just got on with the day.
The Teams dysfunction had its effect on the others too, Raven and Garfield felt awkward being so close in front of them.
Cyborg still lamented over their loss but put himself back into his work, tinkering and building.
One thing Nightwing did suggest following this event with Darkfire, setting up the next 'Tower' was vital. With the success of Titans East, the next natural place was 'Long City' south west of Jump.
A harsh place with an unforgiving desert surrounding it. Placing a Tower there as Nightwing described it would 'Give a strong foothold' so he left Cyborg in charge of the setup.
Weeks had gone by since then and the new Tower was nearly completed, Cyborg just had some finishing touches to do before meeting up with the new pre-selected team for the 'Titans West's
Truthfully the mechanical man was glad to be able to sneak away from it all for a few days with mainly just Raven and Garfield left around he felt like even more of a third wheel than usual.
The long drive over there was also a good chance to clear his thoughts, something he had recently been struggling with.
Raven and Garfield weren't exactly slacking either, the two now had over double the usual work. Raven was out every other week aiding other Titans across the globe. Her teleportation made her a better choice for this, whilst Garfield remained behind as Jump Cities primary hero. A task that thanks to his constantly growing powers was much easier now then it would have been years ago.
Cyborg was worried the two would grow distant like Starfire and Nightwing, however the time apart just made their reunions feel stronger. They were relishing in each other any chance they had but still did their jobs.
The day was finally here to begin setting up Titans West. Cyborg was almost ready to go. In the Tower only he and Garfield remained currently. Both Starfire and Nightwing were away and Raven had been out of contact for a week, though she was due back any time today and Garfield couldn't be happier.
"Are you sure you don't wanna stay and say 'Hi' Cy?" Garfield asked his mechanical friend from across the living room. Cyborg had a bag pitched around his shoulder as he stood ready to make his way down to the garage.
"I would but you know what I gotta do, it won't finish itself. Besides she knows where I am and I'm sure you'll want her all to yourself lover boy" Cyborg teased. Garfield in an odd display didn't even argue.
"Yeah but the nice thing to do is ask?" He shrugged casually. Cyborg smiled.
"You two enjoy yourselves, just don't wreck my tower otherwise you're both repairing it. I'll be damned if I'm doing it again, anyway later Gar!" Cyborg waved backwards to the green Titan as the living room doors silently closed behind him.
The elevator down to the garage felt quieter than usual. Cyborg could hear his thoughts louder than usual.
If you five need to learn anything… it's when to take a loss
Melnox's last words ate through him, then came a vicious, defiant frustration.
"We'll show you how to lose you metal bitch" he grumbled exiting the lift. The image of broken up parts of metal and orange painted hull, lay spread out across the garage in various places. He'd been neglecting his work... In truth the thought of all the hard work going to waste like it did before. It kept making its way back inside his head.
The metal Titan stepped over the piles of broken machinery and made his made to the vehicle placed towards the back of the room. His pride and joy the T-Car.
Since upgrading himself, he took the liberty of upgrading her armour and specs to match his new upgrades. She was now a true reflection of his new self.
"Got a long trip ahead of us, baby" Cyborg clutched the top of the driver's side door and stepped inside via the door handle. The garage door pulled up slowly as her engine flared to life. The sunlight from outside was fierce, it collided with the grey bonnet of the T-Car causing a bright flare. Cyborg pulled his sun guard down and sled out towards the island tunnel, a trail of dust dragging behind.
Approaching the entrance of the tunnel beneath the tower Cyborg spotted an odd sight. As it got closer, he applied his brakes and came to a sharp stop a few feet in front of what was causing his confusion.
"Guys?" He asked puzzled.
Standing in front of him Raven, Garfield, Melvin, Teether and Timmy were all dressed up in strange attire. Raven had an odd almost 60's style outfit on with a shirt skirt of all things and a furry cardigan. She looked rather embarrassed. Garfield had a long coat on with a ridiculously long and brightly coloured scarf around his neck. The children, who were now slightly older had what could only be described as old school uniforms on like something from a fancy boarding school.
Cyborg was utterly perplexed at this sight. Garfield could see it.
"Cyborg! Fancy seeing you here?" Garfield said nervously rubbing the back of his head.
"I think that's my line B? Weren't you two supposed to be up there?" Cyborg countered.
"Uh? We were! But Raven brought the kids along so we decided to go take em to that convention we talked about?" Garfield said with an awkward chuckle. Cyborg looked even more confused.
"You got, Rae to agree to go to a con?" Cyborg asked in disbelief, turned over towards Raven hoping to hear confirmation. Raven's eyes darted about as Garfield shot her a wide-eyed motion.
"He did" she said reluctantly.
"Huh?... Ok so what's with the costumes and how'd you get down here so fast?" Cyborg asked. Garfield shot Raben another gesture, nodding his head towards Cyborg as subtly as he could pull off. Ravens eye twitched as she bit her tongue. The children snickered lightly.
"M...Magic...?" She croaked quietly. Cyborg still looked puzzled but eventually slowly nodded his head as he accepted the situation.
"Alright, if you say so?" Cyborg shrugged and restarted the T-Cars engine and pulled alongside them.
"Need a lift since I'm on my way?" He offered.
"Nah it's ok, we got our own way right Rae, Rae?" Garfield said with a smile. Raven's eye twitched again multiple times.
"You know it, babe..." She grinned rather sinisterly. Garfield gulped slightly as he chuckled turning back towards Cyborg.
"Okay, stay out of trouble guys!" Cyborg waved as the group quickly shrank in the rear-view mirror.
The journey towards Long City was fittingly rather long. A good drive however was just what Cyborg wanted right now, he could forget everything and just take in the landscape and the wind rushing by him. The road was a singular lonesome one, stretching across the desert. Canyons of all sizes surrounded the area, contrasting against the vibrant blue sky with the whitest of clouds overhead. The T-Cars engine roared across the horizon, she was the only car for miles.
This was heaven.
A few miles down the road a rather crude sign began approaching, the poor paint was hard to make out though a cybernetic eye was about to show its value again.
'Short Town 3 miles ahead' the sign read. The meeting place for the new Titans West. Cyborg pressed the pedal down and brought his baby up to greater speed, the noise thundered across the wasteland.
There were few sights seen by Cyborg's less pathetic than the one he was looking at.
A rustic, worn down tiny frontier like town, sat in the middle of the Long City Desert. Short Town was its name and a fitting one it was. The only link being the railway line passing through it. The buildings were an odd combination of new and old. Beaten down and modern. Cyborg stood in awe at the town entrance as the wind blue dust along its narrow street length.
He slowly stepped down the open path towards a large building at the end of the street.
As he passed along each building a resident gave him a dead eyed glare, the stares followed him as he approached his destination.
The sound of light piano playing grew louder as he approached the tall building in the town called Short.
Must be a bar...? He thought.
The saloon doors looked tiny compared to his size as he effortlessly pushed his way through. The music stopped instantly as all eyes turned to his direction. The inside of the establishment was full of round tables, filled with various looking grizzly gentlemen drinking and playing poker. The lack of light shielded Their completions as their eyes targeted the Titan under their grimy hats.
Cyborg felt their stares and quietly paced towards the bar, trying to seem unfazed by it. The bartender looked slightly more up kept. His moustache twirled as he scanned the mechanical man down a hint of fear could be seen in his eyes.
"Hey man? I'm looking for a group of Titans they were supposed to meet me here? Have you seen em?" Cyborg asked. The bartender stepped back a little arm raised defensively.
"Look I don't want any trouble..." He said nervously.
"Trouble? What are taking about? My job is to stop trouble? When there's trouble, I'm the one you call" Cyborg joked. The bartender looked around and moved into to whisper to Cyborg.
"You're not one them?" He whispered.
"Them?" Cyborg leaned in. The bartender came up even closer.
"The Scuttlers..." He whispered even quieter. The lack of noise made the slam of the saloon doors behind him even more prominent. Cyborg turned to see the source of the noise and all eyes followed him.
Standing in the doorway was a tall gentleman in a rather gruff looking getup, black with a sharp flat stetson like hat. Around his chest was a metal ribcage like device sitting on top of his suit. His waist coat came down to his knees.
The sound of his books clinked as he paced towards the bar. His head remained down until he stopped in the middle of the room and turned towards the gentleman sat in front of the small piano.
"Where's the music?" He asked gruffly. In a quick panic the piano player continued the tune he was playing before Cyborg entered the scene. The upbeat tune rang throughout the saloon as the sinister gentleman reached the bar.
"The usual, Jimmy" he leant his elbow on the countertop and still kept his head down.
"Listen, Billy I told Mr. Esper I was good for this month..." Jimmy started behind the bar.
"Ah ah... Mr. Esper, tells YOU..." The gruff man interpreted, Cyborg watched the conversation unfold trying to get a hold of the ongoing situation.
"Look, I'll have it by the end of..."
"Excuses, Jimmy..." Billy interrupted him. "... It's bad for business. You should count yourself lucky this pile of twigs and rusty nails are still of some value..." He continued.
"Is there a problem?" Cyborg spoke up. The gruff gentleman turned and lifted his head up to take a good look at the large metal Titan.
Cyborg observed he was wearing a sharp pair of goggles with three smaller lenses around each pair. Making eight in total, they were glowing a bright red. The man looked worn, his wrinkles were sharp and his grey hair was settling in nicely to his black goatee. He smiled slightly and cyborg noticed his metal teeth glistening.
"Do I know you, son?" He asked in a gruff voice. Cyborg looked offended.
"You haven't heard of me? I'm Cyborg of the Titans" He boasted. The gruff man with eight eyes didn't answer, for a moment Cyborg thought he didn't hear him. Then he abruptly started laughing, the whole saloon quickly joined in too but it was more of a nervous laugh than a genuine one. After a minute or two the laughter died down and Billy smiled back at Cyborg.
"So... The rumours are true, The Titans here... in our town" The gruff man stood up and stared down the mechanical man.
"You bet and were here to stay, so get used to some changes around here buddy" Cyborg stood up and faced down the man himself.
"Changes? Oh, no, no, no... no. There'll be no changes here, the boss has too much riding on it" As Billy finished four more individuals entered the saloon.
The first was a tall lanky woman, hair as long as her lower legs with a hat just as wide over a grizzly looking mask.
The second was a large bulky man, covered in machine limbs with a bowler hat. Next was a beautiful blonde-haired woman, curled feathered hat with a red suit on. From her back a large metal tail hung.
Finally the fourth was a stout, comically short gentleman with intense eyes and a large top hat with a fancy suit zipped across the floor. They each had the same metallic rib device on their chests.
"Hey boss? Boss?! Who's this guy? Looks breakable! Let me blow him up?! Yeah! Yeah! Blow him up real good!" The small man rambled, waking up to Billy who pressed down on his hat and the speratic individual stopped in his tracks.
"Calm down, Ticker... all in good time" Ticker grinned as he lifted his finger of his hat.
"Now, I thought we'd be having this little 'understanding' later on but I see fate has other plans... It's a shame really. I could have used someone like you" Billy commented, examining Cyborg's impressive components.
"Fat chance..." Cyborg scoffed at him. Despite being outnumbered he didn't back down.
"... And yet here we are? But I wouldn't want to forget my manners now, would I? I think we can spare Jimmie's little establishment from any unwanted destruction... So? Billy drew a revolver quickly pointing it at Cyborg's face, with a light click he removed the safety.
"... After you?" He gestured towards the door with his gun. Cyborg stood firm but obliged passing through the gang that had entered the saloon, back outside.
The sun blared over Cyborg as he made his way onto the dirt covered soil that made up the town road. The gang of Scuttlers followed, the scene caused a gathering of folks around the town as Cyborg stood alone in the street.
"Long City has no time for heroes, son... Never has" Billy faced his barrel down directly towards Cyborg, his gang stood behind. He was ready to make his shot.
The sun stood directly overhead like it was a spotlight, the heat was intense out here, even he could feel it with his cybernetics. He stared back at the villain in front of him defiantly. He wasn't going down without a fight.
An odd noise bellowed above the Scuttlers, each of them looked up to see a strange looking round gap in the sky, almost like a hole. They each looked befuddled as the image of a figure began falling from it. The heavy-set human landed on the dirt and formed a dust cloud in the middle of the Scuttlers.
Cyborg recognised them, a Titan; G'nark. The caveman who partnered with his fellow Titan Kole, whom was currently frozen solid in her diamond form, which G'nark was using as a weapon.
"G'nark!" The caveman swung his friend and struck a couple of the gang members knocking them back. Ticker the smallest, flew into a nearby window like a baseball. Billy stepped back and pulled out a second gun from his holster. He fired at the Caveman with a flurry of rapid laser bolts.
G'nark placed the static Kole in front of him to block the attack.
Billy then felt a strong force knock him over followed by a gush of wind that blew along the dirt road.
"What?!" He looked up and saw no one that caused it. Using his eyes he tried to track the movements in the surrounding area, as he homed in on a rather rapid moving energy signature it approached his direction like a lightning bolt. A yellow and red flash flew by him again, knocking him down.
The two gang members left standing, saw a pink shockwave approaching them, as it passed the wave cut through them like crashing wave. The two noticed the building behind them starting to creak and weaken as it collapsed on top of them.
Another figure fell through the hole in the air, he was wearing a blue hood. Not too dissimilar to Raven. Herald had landed. The yellow blur stopped and its form became kid flash standing proud. Next Jinx stepped over; the former Hive member came into view next to Kid Flash. Clearly, they were still going strong.
"Bout time you guys got here?!" Cyborg smiled.
"Sorry you, know how we love a good dramatic entrance?" Kid flash shrugged.
"G'nark" the caveman muttered.
"Yeah I blame, Herald too" Jinx agreed with him. The hooded Titan looked irked.
"Hey?!"
Kole resumed her natural form and went over to greet Cyborg.
"Cyborg?! You're here!" She cheered.
"Sup Kole, G'nark, my man… probablly should be thankful that you guys were actually" Cyborg chuckled.
Out of the window where Ticker had been knocked through a flurry of small round bombs scattered around the ground.
"Get down!" Cyborg yelled. Kid flash moved to quickly grab Jinx and Kole and move them both out of the way. Kole felt the near whiplash as her body moved so fast, Jinx was used to it now.
"Thanks, honey" Jinx smirked, then her face quickly turned to shock. Kid flash screeched in pain as a green electric bolt surged across his body. The speedster fell to the dirt, Jinx looked over and saw the tall Scuttler with a long rifle in hand. G'nark rushed towards the villain however he was intercepted by Billy who clutched his arm tightly. G'nark struggled in his grasp, the leader of Scuttlers device sitting on his torso began to shift. The metal structure formed two new sets of robotic arms, giving him six now. With his additionally limbs he quickly overpowered the caveman and threw him back. He looked down at him with an odd sense of awe.
"Hey?! Back off!" Cyborg transformed his arm into his signature sonic cannon and fired.
The blast knocked Billy back, where he landed on the decking of Jimmie's bar.
The head Scuttler got back up and turned over to the collapsed building that had buried his two other gang members.
"Techrantulus?!" He shouted. The pile erupted as the large bowler hat wearing brute smashed out of the debris. Like Cyborg his arm began transforming into a large barrel. It was much bigger than Cyborg's and it was aiming straight at him. The blast sparked from the massive man's arm and travelled directly towards the trio of Cyborg, Jinx and Kole.
The latter parked herself in front of them and returned to her diamond form, the blast collided with her and pushed her back across the dirt. Cyborg clutched her from behind keeping her up as the blast faded.
Herald confronted the red suited woman, she fired a crossbolt from her tail, the hooded Titans blew into his metal horn and a portal materialised in front of him. The bolts passed into the portal then reappeared above her. The bolts came down and dug into the ground.
The scorpion like woman, looked over at the Titan and smiled. Like before she fired a few bolts in his direction and right on schedule, he brought up a portal to block them. The moment it opened, the woman leapt up and clawed her way through the hole and gripped the trumpet playing Titan, tightly. She had him.
"Never play the same note twice, boy" she sneered.
Jinx felt someone tug on her arm.
"Excuse me, would you hold this?" The Tiny Ticker, placed a small spikey bomb in the witch's hand. She panicked as the tiny man scurried away.
"Ah! Help?!" Jinx tried to shake the bomb off, flapping her arm like mad.
"Use your magic!" Kole suggested.
"No! It might set it off!" Cyborg argued. Jinx's heartbeat grew stronger, she was desperate at this point it could detonate at any moment. The beeping noise grew more rapid and successive. Knowing she had seconds she covered her body and tried to shield herself whilst keeping her arm out.
A puff of orange smoke erupted from the bomb. Jinx opened her eyes and turned to examine it as the smoke crossed over her face.
She began coughing and gagging, the smell from the smoke was indescribable. Her eyes stared to water as the other two Titans tried to back away. Jinx fell to her knees writing as the Ticker and the other Scuttlers started laughing hysterically.
Cyborg saw the gang of hooligans laughing, time seemed to slow and Melnox creeped into his head again.
Know when to stop, kid...
Cyborg felt something he hadn't experienced for some time, doubt. The feeling weighed him down as he struggled to return to the situation at hand in his mind. Focusing on the villains, he quickly brought himself back
Not this time...
Cyborg reached for his arm and pressed a command subtly, he stared down the gang of gunslingers as there laughing subsided and their leader stepped forward.
"Are you supposed to be the new, ...Titans? This must be a joke?" Billy taunted; the others began laughing again. The leader stopped at the ring of unfamiliar sound approaching. He turned to see the form of the T-Car approaching at speed. She skidded across the dirt as her parts began to shift and change with a vicious collection of metal sounds.
Standing before the Scuttlers stood a large robot, armoured and powerful looking.
"Stand down!" The T-Bot commanded. The Scuttlers looked at each other and fired. Their weapons had little effect. The T-Bot stood her ground, the brutish Scuttler tried to swing for her but was quickly blocked and with a single blown, knocked back into the pile of debris they had been thrown into before.
Upon seeing the machines strength Billy raised his hand and the others took heed.
"Regroup, you idiots" Billy let out a whistle, the sound of which pierced across the sky. Cyborg and the others looked around and heard a powerful noise grow closer. Across the distance, five metal horses glided across the ground, which pitch black smoke trailing behind. The steeds came to a stop before the Scuttlers. Techrantulus broke free from the debris and shook off the dust and pieces caught on his person
"Till, next time" Billy warned. The others climbed on each of their respective steeds, The gang rode off into the distance and disappeared quickly out of sight, leaving the Titans and the rest of Short Town behind.
"That went well..." Jinx snarked. The witch used her magic to blow apart what was left of the gas bomb. Her eyes were still red.
"...Ugh I'm gunna be tasting the smell of that for weeks" Jinx batted her tongue trying to get the taste away.
Kid Flash got back up to his feet, head still ringing.
"Oh hi honey glad you could make it, could have really used someone who can move faster than lighting just then..." Jinx snarked at her boyfriend. He did not look pleased.
"Hey I didn't see her?!" He bit back. Herald walked up to the three of them.
"Well would it kill you to look where you're running towards?" Herald said, the speedster rolled his eyes.
"Oh, trumpet guy has an opinion? Of course, why not?" Kid flash waved his arms up mocking towards the hooded hero. Kole and G'nark had now made their way over towards the group.
"Guys stop this isn't helping anyone!" Kole argued.
"G'nark!"
"Exactly" Kole agreed with her caveman companion.
"Like we need any input from Miss 'powers only useful when used by someone else!' Titan" Jinx cut in. Kole gave out an offended scoff.
"At least my powers aren't a hindrance to the Team!" Kole bite bank with crossed arms. Jinx's eye twitched, though you wouldn't be sure if it was from the comment or the previous smell.
The group of Titans continued bickering in front of Cyborg who felt a strange sensation of Deja Vu. As his annoyance grew, it reached its limit.
"Enough!" Cyborg yelled, the others jump and stopped bickering. They turned towards the mechanical man.
"Just once I'd like a team who's functional before we start..." Cyborg commented, the others looked annoyed.
"Who put you in charge?" Jinx remarked.
"No one I'm just here to get you guys set up so next time you guys go up against someone you don't get your butts kicked again like just then!... wait, who is in charge?" Cyborg asked feeling a little hypocritical from his first comment, the five of them quickly answered in unison.
"We don't know?"
Cyborg's face narrowed as he scratched his brow.
"Great... Alright we should probably head to the new Tower get her set up, she should be here any minute actually" Cyborg checked his arm reading a blip that was approaching their location.
"Who?" Kole asked, before Cyborg could answer the bartender approached them.
"Thank you for dealing with those thugs but I worry they'll only come back" he said quietly.
"It's not a problem but who are those creeps and what's with this place and Long City?" Cyborg quired.
"Long City is run by a man called Mr. Esper, he owns it. Everyone there is on his payroll... This town, it's a buffer stop for trains to pass through and be offloaded with product from other cities. It's a dead zone out here so no one comes looking. That's why he keeps us around... The Scuttlers, patrol the desert and keep out any unwanted interference but Widow, the leader has his own interests, most of the time. Now they're just well-resourced criminals" The bartender explained.
"Sounds like just another, big bad with a lot of money. I've handled worse" Cyborg scoffed at him
"Don't underestimate him or this place otherwise it'll be the end of you lot before you even start" Jimmy warned.
"Guys not exactly wrong? We did just get handed a good ass kicking... Without your robot we'd have been done" Herald remarked.
"Then you guys need to learn to work as a team" Cyborg suggested.
"That's rich you guys bicker all the time it's part of how we beat you once" Jinx reminded Cyborg of their very first encounter.
"That's right we do but when the chips are down, we can count on each other for anything, that's why we can handle anything" Cyborg boasted.
"...Almost anything" Kid flash cut in, Cyborg eyebrow went up.
"... The other Titans talk, we heard about Starfire's brother and what happened after" He followed up. Cyborg's mins rushed back to the battle with Melnox, at first, he didn't answer because he knew personally... he wasn't wrong.
"Sometimes a bad guy gets lucky..." Cyborg answered finally, the other Titans could feel the desperate feeling of his answer.
"... Besides, this isn't about me it's about you guys and now... we can get started" Cyborg looked over in the distance and saw a dust cloud rapidly approaching along the single train track leading towards the east. The object on the rails was sleek looking, as it got closer, they could make out a red and gold colour scheme and several coaches. The other Titans watched in awe as the Train came to a stop with a set of sparks dancing off its wheels.
The engine looked streamlined, it had five coaches trailing behind it.
"Woah..." The five of them said simultaneously.
The engine sputtered steam across the ground, as Cyborg turned around with a smug look on his face.
"Well? Say hello to the T-Train!"
"I like the colours..." Kid flash observed.
"It's amazing!" Kole complimented, G'nark had moved himself behind her cowering
,unsure of what to make of the large train...
"So is this our custom vehicle for this place?" Jinx asked, she knew that railroads were a big part of Long Cities infrastructure, so Cyborg's choice of transport fit the bill laid out by the land.
"Alright all aboard y'all. Next stop Titans tower West!" Cyborg made his way over to the door at the side of one of the coaches and gestured for the others to join him. As the group got on, they were created to a snazzy layout inside, high-tech and modern looking. Sleek white finish almost clinical looking. The interior looked more like a command centre than a typical passenger car.
"This baby has everything... mobile tactical centre, storage, weapons and a mini bar" Cyborg lent down and opened one of the side panels which pulled across to display a refrigerator filled with various beverages.
"Ooooh..." each of them said in wonderment.
"What do we need a tower for if this place has everything?" Kid Flash argued.
"It's always good to have a focal point, somewhere to call home... Alright let's get moving" Cyborg replied, tapping the side wall of the coach a loud horn could be heard from the engine.
Outside the train the T-Bot had returned to its car mode and driven into one of the storage coaches on the train. The locomotives horn rang again and with a slow jerk towards, the cars were dragged along and they were on their way west.
"Far be it from me to question the consistency of your eyesight, Spider but I can't say I'm outwardly convinced you saw what you saw" Espers condensation could be felt even through the scrambled scratches of Billy Widows communicator. Despite his gang's clear motif, he still never liked the nickname 'Spider'.
"I'm telling you boss, I got eight other eyes that can confirm it. It's real" Billy gripped the device tightly, waiting for the response he wanted.
"Well if it is, then you should have no trouble bringing it here then..." Esper replied on the other end of the line.
"Oh we won't..."
"Alive... and in good condition" Esper cut in. The gang leader's mouth flared. An odd sense of disappointment and annoyance settled in.
"... Yes, boss" Widow replied.
"Good, you'll get paid when I see the piece for myself oh and Spider?" Esper's voiced paused as the other gang members waited to hear Billie's response.
"Yes?"
"Make sure these new heroes are given the appropriate welcome to our fine land, won't you?"
"I think we can manage that..." Widow closed the device and looked across the desert. The wind was sharp against the sun. Atop the high cannon they had perched themselves the layout of the desert was clear.
The railroad lines were visible like string plastered across the land.
"What you thinking, dear?" The red suited woman came up behind Widow in a playful manner. He joined along grabbing her hands and bringing her in close.
"Well, I'm thinking about how we're gunna to play this, Scarlet"
"They're a bunch of kids dear, we can get the drop on em, swoop in and grab what we need and they won't know what's happening... Let's get paid first. We can have our fun later" Scarlet proposed.
"Perhaps you're right, darlin..." Billy conceded with a cheeky grin.
"I often am" Scarlet smiled back at him.
"Hey boss, look, look! Look?!" Ticker tugged on Widows sleeve and pointed out towards the railway line in the distance. The Red Train was moving like the devil. Billy gave his eye a tap, his vision closed in and targeted the vehicle.
"I think it's them, well this day keeps getting better and better... saddle up!" The gunslingers took to their steads and sped off down through the sky towards their prize.
The ride on Cyborg's latest technical marvel was a smooth one. Each of the new Titans were taking in the train. Kole and G'nark had ventured to the lounge carriage with herald to unwind. Though Kole was spending a lot of time just trying to calm the caveman down.
Kid flash had decided to race against the train itself from the outside. Jinx didn't try to argue and just let him be him.
Cyborg had parked himself in front of a computer desk at the end of the carriage, he was checking system updates on the new Tower.
Jinx slowly crept up behind him.
"You know you once said you could have been a lot of things?... Do you ever regret it?"
Cyborg turned around to look the witch in the eye. He wasn't sure why she'd asked that question.
"I don't regret where I ended up if that's what you mean?"
"No... I mean... Do you ever think about what would have happened if things had gone differently?" Jinx explained, Cyborg paused to contemplate his reply.
"... Every day"
"Oh..." Jinxes eyes grew wide at the answer. Cyborg tapped his upper arm, looking away from her.
"What about you?"
"Me? Oh, well I guess I never thought I'd 'see the light' as it were..." She admitted. Cyborg could sense the false modesty.
"Why haven't you taken charge of these guys?" Cyborg asked.
"What?"
"You heard, you managed to keep those boys back at the hive under control, you're a natural leader, so what's stopping you?" Cyborg followed up. Jinx thought for a moment, her face made all sorts of movements.
"True... but I don't think any Titan would enjoy the thought of a hive leading them..." Jinx shrugged.
"... Besides, only Wally listens to me" She finished.
"I've seen worse team dysfunction, first time round" Cyborg remarked. Jinx thought again for a moment, she knew he was probably right but the reminder of spending so many years on the other side was still always there.
Cyborgs arm started to buzz, examining it he could see 'Raven' as the caller.
"Yo, Rae everything okay?" Cyborg could hear loud static coming from the line, the Empath's voice was hard to make out and sounded rather peculiar.
"Oi! Cyborg?!... Ello? Is this bloody thing on? Fucking bollocks this is, I tell ya…" Cyborg's eyebrows rose, this sounded like Raven, though the British accent was new and he wasn't sure whether to laugh or be genuinely concerned.
"Uh…Rae? Is that you? What's with the voice?" He snickered slightly.
"Ello? Cyborg!? I can't hear you, Ello?!"
"Raven? Everything okay? Raven?!..." The line cut off; Cyborg tried to re-establish but the signal was far too weak.
"What was that about?" Jinx asked.
"Probably Garfield's idea for a joke, can't call back anyway signals dead…" Cyborg sighed.
Jinx nodded and stood for a moment in thought. She went back in her head to the semester in the Hive a young new student named 'Stone' stunned the entire school.
"Why don't you wanna talk about it by the way?" Jinx asked changing the subject.
"Talk about what?"
"What happened with Starfire's Brother?" Jinx asked flatly.
"Because there's nothing to talk about, he wasn't even the real thing..." Cyborg tapped his arm again, hoping that would be enough to satisfy her question.
"That's not what I meant, what are you afraid of?" Cyborg could see, she was seeing right through him.
The sound of a light beep started ringing from the console behind Cyborg, the display of their position came up. They were being pursued.
"We've got company"
The Titans were exposed, out here in the desert they were on their own. Communications were shot and no help would likely arrive from anywhere else.
In the rear carriages Kole was trying her best to sooth her friends' nerves, the caveman was scrunched up in one of the lounge chairs beside the carriage window, eyes darting around.
"There's nothing to be scared of G'nark, please don't worry" Kole knew G'nark had become more open to the ideas of the surface, that being said sometimes it could be a little too much too fast and she could see it. Herald was observing towards the back of the carriage. Gently he began playing his trumpet, the melody was a pleasant, calming tone. G'nark's breathing began to sooth, the sound was new but comforting. Kole listened with wide eye's
"That was beautiful but how did you know that would work? She asked. Herald chuckled.
"Oh, I've been around…though personally…" Herald placed a gentle shoulder on the Caveman, his nerves were much smoother. "… I think people undervalue the power of music" he finished.
"What did you say your name was again?"
"Herald" The hooded Titan reached over to the pink haired Titan; she gripped his hand back tightly.
"Kole" She replied.
Cyborg peered out one of the carriage doors. The wind from the speed of the train was like a storm of needles on his face. He spotted the five steeds trailing in the distance. They were gaining. Cyborg returned back inside.
"It's them again"
"Well, we can out run them, right?" Jinx asked.
"Of course, we can but were not gunna… they want a fight we'll give em one" Cyborg stated confidently. He pressed on his arm opening a com line.
"Kid Flash you read we got incoming on our tail!?" The speedster was still running ahead of the train, he turned and spotted the pursuers.
"I see em… I'll take care of it" Kid Flash replied
"No, wait!?" Cyborg heard the tone of the line cutting out, Cyborgs lips curled.
"Damn it Wally" Jinx muttered. The two Titans lost their footing as the whole train shook with powerful bang followed. Back at the tail end Kole, Herald and G'nark were confused as to what was happening.
"G'nark?"
"I dunno…" Kole replied. The sharp sound of shattering glass pierced through the coach, Scarlet the red suited gunslinger, lept inside the carriage. Quickly she wrapped her metal claws around Herald's head and held a blade to his neck. The other two Titans prepared themselves to jump into a fight, The gunslingers' device wrapped around her torso, broke apart revealing an extra pair of robotic arms. She swiftly drew a set of guns and fired a few warning bolts at the floor.
"Ah, ah! Don't even think about it…" Kole and G'nark froze in their tracks, anxiously watching her make the next move.
"… Now then kid, what was your name?" Scarlet asked the horn blower quietly.
"Herald…" he growled.
"Herald? Well Herald would you be so kind? … drop the trumpet" Scarlet placed the blade closer to his neck with a vicious smile. The Titan obliged and dropped his instrument which fell to the ground with a light thud.
Kole thought back to her first encounter with the Titans, how she had been stolen because of her unique powers, her mind came to the conclusion they must be here for her.
"I won't go with you easy if I'm what you're after…" Kole said, Scarlet's eyebrow raised and then started to giggle.
"You? Silly girl, who said this was about you?" Scarelt's gazed turned to the Caveman standing beside her. Kole's eyes widened.
"No!" Kole's yell was drowned out by the sound of a projectile fired from the end of the robotic tail trailing from Scarlets back. The dart landed under G'nark neck, the Caveman felt dizzy and within a few seconds collapsed on the carriage floor.
"Gnar'k!" Kole tried to reach down to help him.
"I said don't!" Scarlet fired a blast from her gun, Kole began transitioning into her diamond form and defected the bolt, which began pinballing around the carriage. Scarlet tried to back up to avoid the ricochet. Herlad saw his chance and gave the woman a sharp elbow to the abdomen now that her torso was exposed. Scarlet grunted and tumbled back, Herald swiped up his trumpet and in almost an instance blew in and opened a portal behind Kole and G'nark.
"Come on!" Herald grabbed G'nark and pulled him trough the portal with Kole, Scarlet regained herself and watched the three disappear.
"They're on the move?!" Scarlet panted in pain through her radio. Outside the Train the other four Scuttlers were riding alongside the tracks. Billy spotted a bright light flash inside one of the back carriages.
"I've got em…Tech? knock on the door please?" Billy pulled his steed back allowing the large Techrantulus and Ticker to get in close with theirs. The tiny little bombardier reached into his bag and pulled out a large bomb with a crude skull and crossbones painted on it and threw it to his large partner.
The brute placed the bomb in his arm's cannon barrel and took aim and the storage carriage. Inside Kole was trying to wake up Gnar'k who they had placed on the hood of the T-Car.
"Cyborg it's Herald, there after…" The Titans message was cut off by the force an explosion ripping through the side of the carriage. As the wind cleared the smoke from the hole, the two Titans saw the gang closing in on them. Across from the left the sight of the familiar blue of Cyborgs sonic blast could be seen as he fired several shots in their direction. Jinx tried blasting them with her own magic, both were standing on the roof
The T-Car began to transform and soon the T-Bot was standing up in the damaged carriage. The machine lept out from out of the coach and transformed back into her car form, she momentarily loss control due to the high speeds but quickly regained control and began firing her own blasts at the gang members.
"Ticker?!" Billy yelled at his tiny ally. The bombardier giggled hysterically and pulled out from his bag and spikey grimacing looking bomb. Ticker rolled the device towards the T-Car, automatically it tried to swerve out the way, the bomb however was magnetized and clutched itself onto her right wheel.
The explosion could be felt all the way across the train, the sight of the T-Car flipping into the air covered in flames was in everyone's eyes. She landed back on her side and quickly fell behind the train still in flames.
"No! My baby?!" Cyborg yelled; his nostrils flared up as he watched Ticker laugh in his direction. Cyborg growled and aimed his cannon towards the little bomber. Cyborg felt a sharp pain spiking towards his chest, he hadn't even noticed a blaster bolt had pierced through his armour. He looked over and saw Billy with a gun raised, freshly shot. The Spider smirked up at him.
"Cyborg?!" Jinx shoved against the metal Titan as the pointed towards something forming in the distance. A vortex of sand was growing behind the Scuttlers, the force from the wind pulled their heads behind them.
"Move! Move!" Billy shouted as the groups floating steeds sped up to try and avoid the tornado, Jinx looked in closely and saw a yellow blur at its base. Kid flash sped up his pace and the vortex grew as did its power. Ticker couldn't fight back against its pull and felt himself being drawn in.
"Boss?! Boss?!" he screamed trying to grab onto his flying steed. Widow pulled up his radio.
"Anytime now darlin? We need to wrap this up!"
Scarlet had crawled across over towards the damaged carriage. She looked down from the hole in the roof and saw their prize. With a swift landing she whipped Kole back into Herald with her tail, the two Titans fell back and watched as she picked up the cave man and brought him towards the hole in the coach.
The tall Scuttler 'Longlegs' brought her steed alongside the damaged carriage and Scarlet jumped across towards it with G'nark in tow. Widow brought his steed over towards Ticker and pulled the tiny man onto his own, the steed the bombardier was riding on fell back out of the air and was quickly absorbed by the vortex of sand behind them. Billy went into Ticker's bag searching for a specific set of bombs. With a satisfied smile he pulled them out.
"You lose heroes!" the Spider threw the bombs on the ground creating a huge stream of smoke which quickly enveloped the villains. Wally's vortex absorbed the black smoke causing the speedster to cough and slow down breaking off from the sprint.
Kole peered out from the carriage, G'nark was gone. Cyborg was in disbelief; it had happened again.
The T-Train came to an unimpressive stop a few miles down the track, they hadn't even reached the Tower yet.
Cyborg stepped outside to access the dame and clutched his head after seeing it. His mind was racing with a thousand different thoughts but one was clearest of all. Kole only had one thing on her mind.
"We have to go after him?!" She yelled in a panic. "…Who knows why they want him but it can't be for anything good…" Kole felt Herald's hand on her shoulder.
"… And we will, right guys?"
Jinx looked over towards Cyborg who hadn't said a word.
"Cyborg?" Jinx called over to him. Cyborg didn't turn around; he clutched his fists tightly and felt the wrinkles around his eyes tighten as he clenched his teeth.
"This isn't supposed to happen… This isn't what heroes are supposed to do! We're supposed to beat the bad guys and just lately…" Cyborg paused, he let his anger slowly deflate with a defeated sigh.
"… all we seem to do is lose…"
The others looked at each other, Kole put her head down all she could think about was her lost friend. Jinx looked back over towards Cyborg who was just standing there silently under the hot sun. She flared her nostrils up and paced over towards him. She knew he wouldn't want to hear this.
"You lost… boohoo, big whoop?" Jinx snarked. Cyborg's lips curled up.
"You don't get it…"
"What?" Jinx scoffed "You think I don't know about losing? I've had to deal with it most of my life and most of the time it was to you guys. Losing is part of life Cyborg, get used to it. You want to stand here moping, fine but we've got a teammate to rescue… and we'll do it with or without you" Jinx finished. Cyborg said nothing and just took in the words. She turned back towards the others.
"You have a plan?" Kole asked.
"The beginnings of one and if we all…" Jinx grabbed kid flashes ear and lightly pulled him over.
"… Do our part we can pull it off" Wally gulped; he'd already had to apologise multiple times for the sandstorm.
"But what would they want with G'nark anyway?" Herald spoke up.
"Well, being a likely missing evolutionary link he'd be of high value to any scientific organization willing to pay" Kid Flash cut in, the others looked at each other, then back at Jinx
"Oh yeah when he's not being dumb, he's actually really smart" She commented.
"Thanks, honey" Kid Flash smiled. Jinx noticed something approaching in the distance. It was moving at a steady speed trailing a large dust cloud behind it.
"Heads up!" Jinx yelled. The others steadied themselves. Behind them Cyborgs eyes widened as he laid eyes on what was coming nearer.
"My baby!" Cyborg ran over towards the oncoming vehicle. Sure, enough it was the T-Car, badly damaged rolling over towards them. With several sickly shifts of metal, the T-Bot emerged after her transformation.
"Ah, look at you baby…still going after all that…" cyborg paused for a moment after he spoke and came to a realization, he stood there frozen and the others grew worried.
"Uh, Cyborg?" Jinx went over to try and get a response. Eventually he turned around with his usual confident smile.
"Jinx is right we've got a teammate to rescue and we'll do it together as a team" Cyborg step forward and placed a hand on Jinx shoulder and spoke.
"This is your rodeo, lead the way…" Jinx smirked back up at him.
"Alright here's what we do…"
The wind had picked up around Short Town and dust was picking up, sand was blasting trough the rustic little spot of dirt.
G'nark had been taken back to the Bar at the head of the town, the other patrons had been forced out as the captured Caveman was now tied up on one of the stools. The gang of Scuttlers were in the middle of a call to confirm their mission success.
"Well, he is a true marvel isn't he…" On one of Scarlets mechanical arms, a hologram of a rather lean gentleman in a blue suit with a sharp yellow tie was projecting, glitching out every now and then. Widow was pacing around G'nark. The bartender Jimmy was keeping out of the way behind the bar.
"As promised, now what about our pay?" Billy asked.
"I've sent a train down to collect him, it'll have your money onboard. Though I'd prefer an extra security escort for him coming back here, I'll pay the extra if you're interested" Esper offered.
"Well, why say no to that? I'd enjoy of night on the slots wouldn't you fellas?" Billy chuckled; the others joined in with a light giggle.
"Very well, I await your arrival" Espers projection cut off.
"This dummy? Valuable boss?" Ticker asked jittering
"Don't matter to me what he is as long as we get paid…"
"G'nark"
"What is that he keeps saying?" Scarlet asked.
"How would I know, darlin?" Billy replied. The quiet Techrantulus finally spoke up for the first time all day.
"He said, they will come back for him" the brutish gunslinger said softly. The others looked confused but billy broke into hysterics.
"Is that so? Well friend if they do, they won't walk away this time but if they are smart, they'll take that silly looking train of theirs and ride off into the sunset" The others started laughing too as G'nark watched them with clenched teeth.
"YO!, BILLY!" The gang heard a loud voice yell from outside and there laughs fell silent. Billy went over quickly to peer through the wooden blinds at the bar windows. He could see a figure at the end of the street, alone.
"Get you're spidery looking ass out here and let's finish this!" The voice came from Cyborg who was standing solo at the other side of town. Billy's grin grew wider.
"I'll be damned, this day just keeps on giving" He smirked. The rest of the townsfolk started to wander outside and peer through windows. The bars saloon doors swung open as the Scuttlers marched outside with G'nark dragged outside with them.
"I'm here for my friend" Cyborg declared.
"Oh, really tin man? All on your own? Billy chuckled.
"Are we doing this or what?"
Billies own chest device began to separate like Scarelt's had. He now had two sets of extra mechanical arms. Cyborg gave out a snide chuckle at the sight of the full 'Spider'
"Okay, hero show me what your REALLY made of!" Billy goaded.
The air fell silent, the wind of dust calmed. The townsfolk watched both sides of the street with tight breaths. Towards the middle of the right-side street a building with a large clock tower chimed loudly. Cyborg and Billy turned towards the source of the ringing.
12:00pm, high noon.
Perfect Cyborg thought, he transformed his arm and with a slow creep, the metal titan stepped forward towards his foe, Billy in turn started doing the same. His arms out ready to draw. His red eyes glowing against the shadow under his hat.
The only sound was the quiet repeat of there footsteps as they approached closer. G'nark and the Scuttlers watched closely. The two stopped a few meters in front of each other and stared each other down.
Sweat could be seen on both their brows, now it was a case of who made the first move.
Billy drew his guns with each pair of hands and lay down his shots straight into Cyborg with little mercy. Cyborg pulled his arms up protecting his head. The bolts tore through his new armour, each shot chipping away at more of him. Billies blasters started to overheat, the gunslinger stopped and chuckled at his work, yet to his surprise Cyborg was still standing. Cyborg separated his arms to show his face again and smiled.
Billies eyes started to widen as he saw the barrel of Cyborgs sonic blaster aimed right in front of him. He held his breath. Cyborg swung his arm right and fired directly at the base of the belltower, pieces of wood and metal scattered all over and the debris fell towards Billy who quickly darted out of the way and landed in the dirt.
"NOW!" Cyborg yelled. Above the position where the scuttlers were stood, one of Herald's portals opened. Gracefully Kole fell in front of them arms out stretched in diamond form. The gang jumped and G'nark looked ecstatic to see her.
Up through the Portal, Jinx blasted down one of her chaos blasts directly into Kole the magic collided with her and refracted in every direction which blasted the Scuttlers back, ripping through some of there mechanical attachments. As they began to recover, they couldn't make sight of their prize, G'nark was gone.
Down towards the railway line towards the back of the town, Kid Flash was breaking G'nark free of his restraints.
"Sorry if I gave you a scare there, buddy. Don't fret we'll have this over soon" Kid Flash zoomed away and scooped up a discarded rope sitting on a barrel beside one of the nearby buildings and made his way back towards the others. Leaving a confused G'nark behind.
"Get up you idiots and find him!" Billy yelled over to his gang, he then watched in horror as a yellow blur spun around them at speed at moved off leaving the image of his gang wrapped up in a pile. Kid Flash threw the rope up towards a new portal that had opened up above them again. As it passed up through Billy could not see where it led to but something was pulling the group up suspended in the air.
Billy heard the sounds of Cyborgs footsteps grow closer behind him, he turned to see the mechanical man aiming his sonic barrel down at him and in his other hand a rope leading into a portal on the ground.
Billy quickly put the pieces together. Kole, Herald, Kid Flash and Jinx came up around the suspended gang members, the townsfolk were watching.
"It's over" Cyborg declared down to the 'Spider' on the ground, Billy just laughed at him with a mocking tone.
"You got no idea what you kids are walking into out here, you think you know but you got no goodman idea!" he warned him. Cyborg looked down at his defeated opponent, he could see he was scared but not of him.
"Back over there with your friends" Cyborg pointed towards him and gestured to get up. Billy rose to his feet and backed up slowly to the suspended gang members dangling from the portal.
"You said Esper owns everything right? Cyborg yelled over to the Bartender Jimmy standing back inside the doorframe of his establishment.
"I did, sir" the bartender yelled back.
"Well then let's send em somewhere else, now!" Cyborg pointed towards Herald who blew into his trumpet, the portal beside Cyborg closed and cut off the rope he was holding. A second opened beneath the Scuttlers and swallowed them, they vanished.
The Townsfolk cheered after seeing the heroes' triumph, applause rand through the streets. G'nark ran over towards them.
"G'nark!" Kole yelled and went in for a tight hug on her friend. The Caveman could not have looked happier.
"Nice Plan, Jinx" Herald complimented
"Worked like a charm" Kid Flash added, The witch almost blushed.
"Thank you all but where did you send them?" Jimmy came up from his doorway towards the heroes.
"Jump City Jail, they'll give em a good home" Cyborg replied with a smirk.
"He wasn't wrong you know, this place isn't like yours…" Jimmy warned too.
"I know but there's a strong team ready to help" Cyborg turned back to face the new Titans West; they had a rocky start but he was now confident in them.
Cyborg took the Titans back towards the new Tower on the T-Train which had arrived a few minutes after the skirmish, the journey this time was uneventful. The Titans noticed a blaring fare hitting their eyes as they image of the tower approached.
The new building was sleek and shiny, its surface reflected the whole desert. As the train came to a stop the others stepped out and stood in awe. Each had a different reaction
"Woah, Sweet…"
"It's so shiny!"
"Very nice…"
"G'nark"
"Dibs on the biggest room!" Kid Flash zoomed inside leaving the others behind.
"Hey!" Herald blew into his trumpet and ran through a portal with Kole and G'nark inside the new Tower. Jinx was left laughing next to Cyborg.
"Great plan by the way" Cyborg remarked.
"Thanks" Jinx replied.
"Think you can handle these guys?"
"If I could handle the Hive, then I can handle these guys… It'll be a lot of growing but I'm sure we'll do fine"
"Well don't be a stranger, you need help you know where we are?"
"Same to you too, you seem to be doing better now by the way?" Jinx asked, Cyborg paused for a moment.
"For the longest time I tried to fix everything, have a contingency plan for any situation. I thought that way I wouldn't have to be scared of being unprepared for anything… You were right though I was scared. Life is scary, this place is scary, the universe is very scary. We've just gotta do our best and stand our ground for what's right. That's all we can do in the end"
"Hmm you sure you don't wanna be leader actually?" Jinx snarked. Cyborg chuckled.
"Maybe… someday, right now I need to be there for my team"
Cyborg stayed for a few days after to help the team setup, Installing the final defensive measures and support systems ready for there base to be fully activated. The T-Train was back into working order and after nearly a week the new Titans West were ready and online.
Cyborg returned back to the tower, Raven and Garfield were still the only inhabitants. He passed along their hallway towards Garfield's room hoping to say 'Hi' instead he stopped hearing an odd conversation.
"Just put it in Garfield…"
"But what if it doesn't fit Rae?"
"Don't be silly I know it will"
Cyborgs faced turned white and he quickly paced over towards the elevator that headed down towards the garage.
Inside Garfield's room, the two lovers were sat across from each other with a large jigsaw puzzle, barely put together sprayed out with all its pieces over the floor.
"Whose idea was this, Gar?"
"Yours, Rae. You wanted a challenging activity?"
"Well remind me never to suggest it again…?"
"Hey after this do you wanna...? You know?"
"Fuck, yes"
Cyborg exited the elevator and looked out at the broken components of his T-Ship bots. With a light nod he dropped his things and let out a light sigh.
Okay let's get to work
Alright there we go
Till, next time! Thank you!
