Also in this chapter, I felt it was time for Naruto to get his own weapon, not gonna say what it is until it's revealed.

Chapter 11

Powerless In The Face of Death

Venture Compound

It's been a few days since the boys death, with both Naruto and Brock digging a hole for both of them, with everyone else trying to overcome their loss of the boys in their own way, though Naruto knew about the cloning thing, it was still somewhat fresh for him, while Billy and White helped Jonas Jr. with his robotic arm, seeing as he was still the deformed twin brother of Rusty, where his left hand was missing due to not being fully developed.

As for Dr. Orpheus, he was beside himself with guilt for not bringing the boys home sooner, though right now both Naruto or Triana wanted him to first get the loss of the boys out of his system, that way once he's calmed down they both can then explain to him about the clones that Rusty had created due to the boys "accident" prone adventures.

Where as Sheila, Dr. Ex-Girlfriend, was staying at Phantom Limb's place, though her mind does drift to the locked up Monarch since it was obvious that she wasn't truly over him, with The Monarch looking outside of his cell window, though ends up eating a Monarch Butterfly for some reason, where as his loyal henchmen 21 and 24 had blew up his Cocoon, just like he told them to.

Though the next day, Rusty had ranaway to go on a bender around the world at the "loss" of his boys, while taking the jet to escape from everyone.

As for Naruto, he got his rucksack, heading for his bike, after saying his goodbyes, along with giving a few hugs here and there to the group, though getting an especially long hug from Triana, Naruto takes off, vanishing from sight, while Triana has a slight tear trickling down her cheek, with Brock patting her shoulder in comfort, while promising to go find Rusty in the meantime and bring the man back.

With Naruto

While Rusty was on his bender, Naruto was heading to a different place completely, being glad that he's got a licence to drive his bike to any county he wanted to, but first he visited a coffee shop and met up with Sheila, telling her what had happened with the boys and how Rusty ranaway, while he was leaving as well, which the woman gave the young man a quick hug in both comfort and goodbye, hoping to see her friend next time.

After which Naruto continued on his way, taking boats and ferries over the oceans to get to where he wanted to go.

He soon pulled up to a mysterious building, getting off his bike and entering the place, where it was completely dark inside, until the lights were turned on, blinding Naruto slightly, where a person soon stepped forward.

"Hey mom, thanks for letting me visit." He soon states with a smile towards the woman.

Molotov smiled back to her son, having missed him for the pass 4 to 5 months since he's been away, where she gives him a big hug, happy to have him back.

2 Month Later

It's been quite a couple of months for Naruto, going on missions with his mother once more and the woman sparring with him to make sure he hadn't gotten soft or lax with his training, though he'd quickly proved that he kept up with his training.

"(Beep! Beep!)"

Suddenly his wrist communicator went off, making Naruto pause for a moment in his endeavour, "Hey! Has something come up dad!" Naruto quickly exclaimed, which made his mother smile at hearing him refer to Brock as "dad" since it proves that the two "boys" in her life were getting along nicely.

"Yeah, I found Doc and bringing him home now." Brock stated, since it's easier to just state such a thing instead of dancing around the bush about it.

Hearing this Naruto simply smiles, "I'll be on my way home then, though it may take me a few days (CRAAAASHHHH!), Maybe~ a week, tops." He finishes after something had crashed in the background.

Even though Brock had heard the noise, he decided not to question it, since he's sure that Naruto would tell him when he gets back to the compound, with both signing off from their conversation.

Naruto soon finished up on what he was doing, then met back up with his mother, where afterwards, the two went back to their place so that Naruto can pack up.

Few Days Later

Naruto had soon returned to the compound, with everyone greeting him, as well as noticing something rather big wrapped up on his back, minus Rusty at the moment, though Triana had quickly dive-bombed into Naruto's arms having missed him the most, where due to her emotions she quickly gave him a big kiss on the lips, pretty much surprising everyone, especially her father, though he was thankful that she'd found someone responsible, though obviously he'd give Naruto the standard "father warning" in his own way, though Brock simply smiled at the whole thing.

"So~ Where's the Doc at." Naruto couldn't help but question, since he's partially the reason why he'd return, though his main reason was because he'd missed everyone, especially Triana.

Brock just smiled and showed him where Rusty was, though when Naruto saw the man practically stuck in the wall, with his legs and ass sticking out of the living room telly, Naruto pulled a face.

"Naruto! So happy to see you back! Though I didn't give you permission to leave." Rusty soon states, making Naruto give a deadpan look.

"That's because I don't really work for you, but my dad does so I help him out with the job, so what exactly happened to you." Naruto answered back.

"(Sigh!) Just a little mishap with a teleporter, with it sending half of my torso into this wall, while sending my ass and legs into the living room tv, while my other torso half is somewhere else." Rusty soon explained.

Naruto then had a big smile appear on his face, "Well that's you all over the place(!)" He replied, causing Brock to try and hold in his laugh at the reference.

"Did-Did YOU just make a stupid Wizard Of OZ reference about me!" Rusty didn't find it amusing.

Naruto just laughed at such a thing, "Oh come on Doc, this is like THE perfect opportunity to make such a reference, I mean, how often can you get to tell someone such a perfect Scarecrow reference with a teleporter mishap." Naruto couldn't help but point out and reason with the man.

Which caused the man to grumble, while Brock was busy still trying to calm down from such a perfect reference.

But Naruto wasn't yet finished, "Also who brought your legs in here?" Naruto asked, with Rusty stating that Brock did it, "So~ in other words, my dad handed you your ass!" This caused both Samsons to laugh uncontrollably, since again it was just too perfect an opportunity to not miss.

Though Rusty didn't like being the "butt" of the joke, he must admit that hearing Naruto joke around did kinda brighten his day, though he still didn't like it.

"ANYWAY Naruto, what's that thing on your back, if you don't mind me asking." Figuring it was time to change the subject of his misplaced body parts, he decided to question the large thing on Naruto's back instead.

Hearing this, Naruto quickly reached around for it, "Oh yeah, it's something that I found during one of my missions with mom, it was during our call, dad." Naruto quickly explained, while moving to a position so that Rusty could see what it was that Naruto was unwrapping.

"Oh yeah, there was a loud crash in the background, anyway, how is Molotov, she doing alright." Brock soon asked, remembering the call.

Naruto continued, "Oh she's fine, kind, caring, loving, just as cutthroat as ever." He simply states.

"Ha! Yeah, that sounds like her, still amazing at what she does." Brock had a reminiscing look on his face.

"No, she literally slit my throat during training, she thought that I'd grown soft during my stay, so we had a spar, but I managed to prove her wrong and showed that I still kept up with my training, the slitted throat was done by a lucky slash, but as you can see, I'm fine, Healing Factor for the win." Naruto explained and joked at the end.

Though he soon revealed what he had on his back, "How about this bad boy!" Which caused Brock to whistle in amazement, while Rusty moved his glasses up in interest.

For there, in his hand, was a large two-handed axe, which surprised the two since it looked kinda big in Naruto's hands, and he was only holding it with one hand, "This here is the Leviathan Axe, I found it during a mission around Norway, and there's something else with this beauty." (A.N. leviathan axe fully upgraded ragnarok.)

Naruto quickly gripped the axe tightly, allowing both to see a glowing blue light from the weapon that gave a cold feel to it, telling them that the weapon had some sort of ice power, Naruto then threw the weapon like a frisbee, shocking the men at such a thing, only for Naruto to hold his hand out and causing the axe to quickly change directions and start heading towards Naruto's hand, with Naruto catching it easily.

With Brock being dead jealous that his own weapon, his bowie knife, didn't return to his own hands like that, while Naruto let's his father have a quick look at the axe, though when Naruto tried to pass him the axe, the thing had dragged Brock to the floor with it, "Sorry dad, I forgot to mention that the axe will only let me use it, it's kinda sentient in that way, also I wanted to at least show you that there's no secret/hidden trick to it either."

Though Rusty wanted to examine the axe, he knew better than to try and touch Naruto's stuff, he still flinched at the pranks Naruto had played on him last time he did, Borck on the other hand felt that at least Naruto now had a weapon to help him out on missions, and the fact that only Naruto could use it will hopefully stop the boys from trying to play with it, after they've fully developed since the two had explained to Orpheus about the boys cloning process and everything, along with the boys deaths.

Where Naruto soon went about his own thing, though once Orpheus saw the weapon on Naruto's back he immediately knew what it was and was amazed that Naruto could find it and use it in such a way, Triana was easily turned on at the sight of Naruto wielding such a large weapon, though in her head she couldn't help but picture another large "weapon" that Naruto had, which had caused her to blush and quickly ran away to try and hide her red face.

Thankfully her father had missed the look and her embarrassment, since he was still studying the weapon in Naruto's hand, being in awe at such a beautifully crafted masterpiece.

"Well thank you for the compliment, I'm sure my brother would be over the moon for such a thing." A voice soon stated, making everyone, but Naruto jump at the sight of gold armoured wearing little person appearing before them.

"Sindri! Wow, I didn't think you'd show up here in America, usually you and your brother would be in Norway, or one of the other Nine Realms and everything!" Naruto couldn't help but be happy at the sight of the blacksmith standing before them, with Naruto thankfully stopping his father from trying to attack the stranger before them all, but since Naruto knew him, Brock would hold off on his attack.

"Yeah, well, me and Brok wanted to make sure that the Leviathan Axe was still holding up, after all, you deserve after helping me and my brother out." Sindri soon stated.

Here Orpheus quickly jumped in, "Of course, Sindri and Brok, the Dwarven Blacksmith Huldra Brothers who had forged Mjolnir, Thor's hammer, why it's such an honour to meet someone of such fine blacksmithing, and the fact that you have forged young Naruto's axe many years ago and gave it to him talks that you hold him in the highest regards!" He states dramatically.

Which makes Sindri slightly uncomfortable at such an expression, looking towards Naruto in confusion, Naruto just shrugs his shoulders, basically telling the dwarven blacksmith to just go with it, where he then states his gratitude for such an expression, though he did wince at the mention of Thor, but decided to quickly move on from that.

Naruto soon gains everyone's attention, "Actually Sindri, do you think you and your brother, Brok, can do me a little favour." He asked the blacksmith.

"Naruto you saved me and my brother's life when we foolishly tried to collect some resources, whatever you need, if it's within our power, we'll help you, all you need to do is ask." Sindri answered, since Naruto was so helpful in collecting some stuff of the brothers, as well as saving them due to their mishaps.

Naruto then smiled and looked towards his father, "Hey dad, can I borrow your knife for a second!" Naruto quickly asked, causing his father to widen his eyes and quickly reached for his knife, feeling somewhat unease at parting with it, but slowly moves to pass it to his son, trusting him somewhat with his beloved weapon.

With the knife in his hand, Naruto whispered something in the dwarf's ear, though being mindful of his germaphobic nature, Naruto then passed the knife to the blacksmith, with him being somewhat reluctant in touch it due to it being covered in blood, even though Brock keeps it cleaned and maintained, Sindri could still "see" the germs on it, but manages to do so, then vanishes as he went pass Naruto's back.

Though Brock became a nervous wreck at his knife vanishing, Sindri had quickly returned a few moments after he left, passing Naruto the knife since his father scared him, with Naruto then passing said knife back to his father, holding it by it's blade.

Where as soon as Brock took his knife back, he was amazed at the artistic design on the blade now, along with the handle and guard being made of dwarven gold, while the blade itself having a Norse-like star constellation look to it.

Yet once Brock took hold on the blade, he could feel red firey power from within the blade itself, gripping it tightly e sees the blade ignite, showing that it'll burn his enemies, the man then looks to Naruto, who knew what he was asking, gave a nod, where Brock's eyes widen then throws the blade as hard as he could, which was really far, with it spinning and creating a red fiery pinwheel streek, then holds this hand out where the blade then changes directions and returns to Brock's hand.

Making Brock squirm at such a thing, "I think I cam a little just now." He then mumbled, excited to have such a weapon like his son.

Though the others were put off at the man for saying such a thing, Sindri quickly got back on track, "That blade has the same type of abilities as Naruto's axe, only instead of using a blizzard from Niflheim to power the axe, we used the primal fire in Muspelheim to power your knife, where me and Brok blessed it with the name, Blade Of Chaos, since fire is very chaotic if not controlled properly." He'd quickly explained. (A.N. Bowie Knife version of Blade of Chaos, fully upgraded.)

Brock was super happy with such a weapon, but he'll only use it when he needed to, since he prefered to use his hands to beat and kill his enemies, but he was still grateful of the gift that his son had helped him get.

Though obviously the man is gonna have to train with his weapon's new power, "You know what Sindri, ya alright, be sure to tell your brother that you both make amazing weapons." Brock then thanked the blacksmith, where he quickly made his exit, planning to change his boxers.

Naruto just smiles at his dad, knowing how excited he was for his new weapon, "Yeah Sindri, I agree with my dad, you both are awesome, though make sure that Brok doesn't visit, since I get the feeling that my dad isn't gonna like his, ur, "expressive" personality." Naruto awkwardly tells Sindri, having met the brother during his mission.

With Sindri silently agreeing, having heard of Brock's rage from Naruto, both Brock and Brok would no doubt bash heads with each other, with Brock more than likely winning and possibly killing his brother, which he really didn't want to happen to him, cos even though his brother is undoubtedly rude and crude, Sindri still loves his brother.

Though before he goes, "Hey Sindri, can we talk for a moment before you go." Triana quickly spoke up, catching the dwarf before he left, with Triana brushing the others off stating that she wishes to speak to the blacksmith in private, since she feels that Naruto would enjoy what she may have planned for the future.

With Sindri making his exit and saying his goodbye to everyone, while being sure to tell Naruto that he and his brother will check up on his and Brock's weapons from time to time for maintenance, while asking Naruto to warn Brock about his brother's personality for if he visits them.

There you have it, the Leviathan Axe making its appearance on A Maelstrom's Venture, with the twist being Naruto as the owner instead of Brock, since I'm sure a LOT of readers would've wanted Brock to use the axe, but I figured since he favours his knife more than a large axe, why not give him a bowie knife version of a Blade of Chaos, and considering the man's rage rampages, it seems to fit with him.

I also figured it was time for Naruto to have his own weapon, and "give" Brock a little present that he'd love, since it would always return to him when he calls it, as well as no-one but him being able to lift it.

Also, obviously the two would be the only wielders of their weapons, cos let's face it, there is no way they'll let the boys, or anyone else, try and touch them.
