Chapter 12

Hate Floats

Venture Compound

It's been a few days since Orpheus had found out about the clones, as well as Sindri's introduction, but afterwards the dwarf hasn't made another appearance, along with Triana keeping whatever she talked about with the blacksmith a secret, simply stating that it was gonna be a surprise when the dwarven brothers had finished with whatever she had asked for.

Not to mention during the last few days allowed Brock to have enough time to practice with his upgraded knife, since it was a little lighter than before, which pretty much proved how top quality the blacksmiths had made it.

Anyway, the boys were soon to awaken from their "slumber" with Naruto stating that Rusty should try to upgrade the memory computer for the boys, but the man was too stubborn to be told what to do until he truly needed to do so, yet during the last 3 days, Rusty had tried to ask Naruto and Brock to let him scan their weapons, but one look from the pair was enough for the man to take their ""NOs"" and if he didn't he'll be sorry for it.

Suddenly the pods opened up, allowing the boys to get out and noticed a "new" stranger with their dad and Brock, where Brock had introduced Naruto as his son once more to the boys, shocking them at having someone "around" their age, even though Naruto was about 2 or 3 years older than the boys, in reality if the original boys had actually lived, the three would've possibly be around the same age, but since they kept dying for stupid and weird reasons, their "aging" was pretty slow.

After the quick introduction the group was off to the mall, turns out Rusty wanted to get Dean a "speed-suit" though both Naruto and Brock knew it was more of a short-sleeved jumpsuit, but both had decided to leave Rusty and Dean to do their thing, while Brock and Hank went to get some supplies.

"Hey I'm gonna grab a bite to eat, you two want anything." Naruto asked, feeling a little peckish, with both Brock and Hank not wanting anything.

As Naruto manages to get to the food section of the mall, he quickly spots a familiar face, "What the, Sheila, hey nice to see you here!" He calls out to his friend.

With the woman looking towards the voice, "Well as I live and breath, Naruto! It's been too long!" She states while giving the young man a hug.

("SLAP!)

"GAH! WHAT WAS THAT FOR!?" Though she then gave him a smack to the back of the head.

With the woman giving a slight glare, "That was for not giving me a call to tell me you were back, geez, 2 months away and you forget your friends don't you."She states to him, causing Naruto to rub his head in slight embarrassment.

"Alright, sorry I didn't call, just been hectic at the Venture Compound, what with the doc's brother needing help shifting his stuff to Spider-Skull Island and everything." Naruto explained himself.

With the woman nodding in acceptance, since it was understandable that he'd be busy with such a thing, where last time they both had coffee she was surprised that Rusty somehow "gave birth" to his own brother in some strange and weird way, but considering the life they lived, strange and weird was pretty much their "bread and butter" of their world, as it were.

So with their greeting out of the way, the two went to the food section and had a bite to eat and talked about what they were up to, though when she told him about Phantom Limb looking at different types of knives for his dinner party, Naruto pulled a face, "What is he, some sort of "blue blood" or something." Naruto couldn't help but joke about.

With Sheila snorting, "I know, right, he thinks just because he's super smart that it makes him some kinda "nobleman" or something." She answered back, causing the two to have a slight chuckle about the man.

"Yeah, I mean, I've been to England before, and the only ones who were all snooty were the "high classes," I mean HIGH CLASSES, more like High ASSES." Naruto states, causing the woman to laugh with him.

"How about the food there?" She couldn't help but ask, since she was pretty curious.

"Oh they know how to make the classic fish and chips there, I mean, you go to any American Fish and Chip shop, then go to one in England and try to compare the two and you'd be surprised about the results." Naruto quickly states, since he did try a few places here and there on his travels.

Sheila smiled at hearing this, "(Sigh!) You know something, this is nice, I mean, you know, nice to talk to someone about anything and nothing that involves the whole hero/villain thing you know, so let me just say it's nice to have you back Naruto." She states with a smile, while patting his hand in friendship, with Naruto smiling in return and patting her own hand, thanking her for welcoming him back.

Though once he'd finished his drink, Naruto soon realised that he needed to use the toilet, so he kindly excused himself, though once he vanished, The Monarch soon made his appearance, seeing as if he "bumped" into his ex while Naruto was there, he knew he wouldn't survive the spiky haired blond, especially with whatever he's got wrapped up on his back.

A Few Minutes Later

It didn't take long for Naruto to return, but when he did ha had no idea what was going on, seeing as Rusty and Brock were missing, yet the boys and Sheila were on the ground, slowly coming around, "Hey, what the heck happened here!?" Naruto couldn't help but question them, since he wasn't there.

With Sheila explaining how the Monarch had tried to abduct her, while using some hoodlum thugs with actual guns to not only get her back but kill Rusty and Brock, since the boys also gave their side of the story too, where Hank states how he managed to see one of his dad's eyeball popped out.

They quickly made their way to Brock's car, while Naruto gets on his motorcycle, while putting his helmet on and linking it to the car so he can listen to what was being said, though he did snort when the boys called Sheila "mommy" knowing that he's gonna SOO tease her later for that, once they've rescued everyone and beat the Monarch, though obviously Sheila was gonna sort him out for doing such a stupid thing, then leave to head back to Phantom Limb.

Though when Sheila appointed Hank to drive Brock's car, along with dealing with the boobytrap, Naruto, using the link to talk to them couldn't help but ask, "Are ya sure it's a good idea to let Hank drive, since to be honest, that might be a bad idea."

She knew that Naruto was thinking about their safety, but right now she also knew it was a bad idea for her to drive while pissed, "Trust me Naruto, the last thing you want is for me to drive while I'm angry, all the collateral damage and innocent bystanders, it just wouldn't be worth it."

While Naruto can agree somewhat about not driving mad, he couldn't help but feel somewhat scared of Hank being behind the wheels as well, "Alright, alright, Hank, listen to me right now, I want you to make sure the car stays behind me so that you don't cause too many accidents alright."

"But wait, what about you Naruto, what if you-" "Just as long as Hank doesn't drive too close I'll be fine, but if anything does happen to me don't forget that I've got a healing factor, so I should be able to heal from anything that Hank might cause with my dad's car." Naruto quickly interrupts Dean's worried question, knowing that right now they needed to go save the doc and Brock.

"Alright boys, and I can't believe I'm saying this, let's go save your father and Brock, and save my stupid ex from both himself and making even more problems." Sheila soon stated.

""Right!"" Both Hank and Dean exclaimed, both having serious looks on their faces.

"Right mommy(!)" Naruto joked about the boys calling her that.

"DON'T START WITH ME NARUTO! I'm not in the mood." She warns him.

"Right, right, now's not the time, oh and boys, I can honestly say that Sheila isn't your mother, she only knows who you are after an extensive study of your dad due to being The Monarch's ex-girlfriend." Naruto told the boys, making them figure that was the reason why she knew so much about them and Brock's car.

Also since Naruto had told Sheila that the boys had ended up in an accident they ended up with amnesia, so they forgot most of their time fighting The Monarch and who worked with him, which happens to include her, so she let's such a thing go and came to understand why they don't remember her.

Though when Hank started driving, he ended up crashing into a few things, making Naruto a little bit nervous, "We're all gonna die." He simply states in a deadpan voice, which the others heard him, which caused them to quickly fasten their seatbelts, with Naruto driving off, where Hank then follows in order to keep up with Naruto, making the whole thing a little bit easier for Hank.

During the drive, even though Hank was all over the road, along with a flashing indicator, Sheila soon explained how she had a tracer on The Monarch, though thankfully she stopped herself from explaining "where" she put it and "how" she did it, making Naruto swerve slightly at the thought, while groaning "I did NOT want that mental picture in my head, geez, when we get home I'm visiting Triana."

Hearing this Sheila was surprised, "Wow, so you and her finally made it official, huh." Since Naruto did tell her about what happened between him and Triana.

"Yeah, it happened after I returned from my trip visiting my mother, I entered the compound and everyone greeted me, though because I was gone for 2 months, it caused her to pretty much miss me the most out of everyone else, which her father was apart of the group, so right now, we're official." Naruto states, being thankful that Dean doesn't remember Triana since he's basically a "blank slate" right now.

Sheila simply congratulates her friend, and hope the two have a nice relationship together, since they didn't really know how long relationships would last or not, but it was nice all the same.

It wasn't long before they crashed into the Cocoon, thanks to Naruto using the front guns of his bike to shoot a hole into it, though due to the size of the bike, the car scrapped the sides of the hole, with the group meeting up with Brock and Phantom Limb, where it turns out the two had teamed up for the time being to rescue everyone, though Brock groaned about his car, seeing as he'd only recently fixed it, though they soon wondered where Rusty was.

With Naruto moaning about not getting to use his axe on anyone since Brock and Phantom Limb had taken care of the hoodlums.

Though when they went to look for Rusty, they had a run in with Monarch and his henchmen, but Brock pretty much beat the shit out of the butterfly villain, with Rusty being thankful that he went last on their "attack" and everything.

Thankfully Sheila had managed to talk Phantom Limb out of killing the Monarch, since it was obvious that due to poor judgement and the fact that the mad man missed her, they let him go.

Unfortunately when Brock made a comment about looking for scars on Sheila, since he still didn't believe she was a woman due to her voice, Phantom Limb shot a dart into his neck, knocking Brock out, "What, I'm still a villain you know."

Where Naruto then bashed Phantom Limb's face in, causing Sheila to give him a look, "What, he just darted my dad, granted I'll make sure that my dad looks over your file so he knows completely that you're a woman, but that shouldn't give that stuck up asshole the right to dart him."

She'll give Naruto that much, "Alright, at least help me take him to one of the escape pods so we can leave, since I really don't want to deal with The Monarch when he wakes up and sees my new boyfriend knocked out, that'll just cause even more trouble."

With Naruto agreeing and helps shift the knocked out man with her showing where the pods were, "Alright, see you for coffee on Saturday."

"Sure, and when you get there tell all about Triana and you dating her, okay." With that she took off, with Naruto going back to the others and taking off with them, with him having no choice but to carry his dad, since it'll be a while until the dart's effects wears off.

The End.

Figured this chapter will be where Naruto and Sheila meet up once more, along with arranging to meet up for coffee, along with the boys being "reintroduced" to Naruto once more.

Also, while Dean won't remember Triana, it doesn't mean he won't still develop a crush towards her, he'll just keep his distance due to her dating Naruto, but obviously there'll still be some awkwardness since it's Dean. lol
