[As you may know by now, all of your stats are out of ten; these stats are tied to your character, with 10 being the highest and 1 being the lowest, or so it would seem. There is no real limit; however, increasing a stat beyond 10 is difficult; it is a "limit.". When this limit is broken, the stat is increased by two points, and the new "limit" will be the next number whose last digit is 0. There is also the case where a stat is initially the lowest possible, for example, 1 in this case. In order to increase this stat, a limit break will be needed.
Let's give examples to show comparisons in stats:
Strength: Your physical power affects the strength of your blows, your resistance to them, and everything related to it, as long as you are not using ki.
Let's give equivalents in this universe.
Strength: 1—Monaka, Skinny Gotenks, Yajirobei, Dende... characters whose physical fitness without the use of ki is minimal.
Strength 5—Characters with average physical fitness, like Krillin in his police officer stage.
Strength: 10—Characters with excellent physical fitness without the use of ki; Goku and Vegeta are perfect examples. This is one of the first limits.
Strength 20—Characters with completely overwhelming physical strength and power; a clear example is Broly.
There may be characters with higher strength stats than 20, but it's very difficult to find them in this universe.
So that's a limit break; that means I don't have to be stuck with these stats forever. Perfect! I'll be able to be the strongest... and besides, I still have something else to investigate, something I didn't realize when I started the Krillin training quest: they gave me a title.
[Titles]
Titles are a series of bonuses obtained through certain actions; they can also be called "achievements"; only one title can be equipped at a time and can only be changed once per day.
These are the titles currently unlocked:
Turtle School Student: The exp gained is halved, but each time you level up, you get double the skill points/skill upgrades.
Title unlocked after: being accepted into Turtle School
I only have that title for now, but it can be quite useful. They haven't explained to me yet what these unlock points and skill upgrades are, but I assume they will once I level up; however, in all the games I know, a skill point is some sort of redeemable item for an upgrade, something like what the game has said. Anyway, I can draw a number of conclusions from this. Yes, I suppose that for each level I gain a skill point; with this title it would take me longer to level up, but I would get two, and if I have this option of having two instead of one, it's because there is a level limit; otherwise it wouldn't make sense to have such a title.
Knowing this, am I interested? I would say yes, I will have twice as many things in the end; I could equip it when I'm close to leveling up, but I can't predict what will happen during the day, so I think the safe thing to do would be to just put it on permanently until I get another more interesting title.
Once all this was investigated, the training at the turtle school had to continue.
[Quest: Krillin's Physical Training]
Objective completed!
- Plow the field: 10/10
- Talk to Krillin tomorrow: 1/1
- Maintain balance 0/10 min
On the first day at the Kame House, I was woken up by Krillin at dawn. I don't know what time it was supposed to be or what time I had fallen asleep at, but I guessed from the position of the sun that it must have been six in the morning. I had slept in one of the rooms on the second floor.
-Here, change-
Krillin said asHe handed me a pack of clothes.
-Try to use what you're wearing now only as pajamas; this is all I have in your size.-
Among them were a pair of sweatpants, a denim jacket similar to Trunks's, and a yellow shirt that said "cool boy."
-And consider this your uniform.
He handed me a small, light blue gi, similar to the one that Goku wore during early Z, but with the turtle school symbol.
-It should fit you; thank goodness I kept it.
-Who did it belong to before?
I asked, intrigued.
-No one important, a former student.
Story information added!
?
-?: Turtle School Apprentice
?
Hmm, maybe this belonged to someone who was an important character to the story, and I'm sure Krillin knows more than he's told me; I'll have to try to find out.
The morning passed quickly; the first few hours we spent running through the desert, well, or at least I tried to.
Intense physical activity done! Remaining for the limit break. 10%
Now came the hard part.
There I was, on top of a trunk of wood as black as coal; the base was large and sturdy, but as the trunk rose, it became smaller until it was a platform on which only part of the sole of the foot could be supported. I had one foot, or at least part of it, supported on the small platform while the other was raised, pointing to the horizon. My position was similar to that of a squat, but only using one leg; I also had a wooden jar on my head. The objective was to maintain that position for ten minutes. I couldn't bend my knee, try to stand up, throw the jar off my head, and much less fall. The fall was almost two meters. Krilin had jumped up to the top and landed perfectly on the platform. Can he fly, or is he just very agile? Thinking about that doesn't make much sense now. I should concentrate.
On the first attempt, after a minute, the jar fell off my head; as I fell to the ground, in a blink of an eye, Krillin grabbed it in the middle of the fall and put it back on my head.
—Try again; try to clear your mind and breathe correctly. A single failure in your breathing could cause everything to become unstable.
Attempt number fifteen: my master's advice has worked; I seem to have fewer problems with balance, but when I reach minute 5, my muscles give way; a series of cramps and intense pain run through my body, and, inevitably, I fall into the void. If it weren't for Krillin's attention, I would have died.
After the 35th attempt, still unsuccessful, we took a break to eat. Hercule cooked what seemed to be a stir-fry of various vegetables with rice. The fun thing was that, while he was preparing it, to light the fire that allowed it to cook, he used his own Ki as a starter, and his aura was pink, quite curious.
Three days have passed since then. I don't know what attempt I'm on; I just know that there's very little left. I have no real way of timing other than the minutes that Krillin tells me have passed, who was now inside the Kame House, but I feel like I'm close to ten this time; just hold on a little longer.
—Jei!
My thoughts and balance were interrupted by a voice, almost losing my balance and falling.
—Time to get down from there, kid! You've been there for twenty minutes.
It's true, the display was telling me; I guess I didn't notice because I was so focused. I feel an incredible satisfaction: challenge overcome!
So the days and weeks went on until we reached the month. The routine was simple: in the mornings we went out for a run, and then we trained. The exercises varied a lot; however, the most difficult ones were the conditioning ones, where I had to endure all kinds of physical punishment, especially blows, although the master "wasn't even using 1/4 of his strength." The progress increased until finally I was at 95%, and little by little my scrawny condition has been fading. Now I seem to have more muscle mass, although my definition is not very prominent.
—In this month you have grown quite a bit, Jei; it seems that your body has adapted well to the training. However, I would like to try a new exercise to see if we can try the next phase of training.
states my master, we were, as always, in the courtyard of the Kame House, which had become our training ground.
—What do you have in mind, master?
A fist lightly grazes my face; instinctively I tilt my neck slightly to my right so that the blow only subtly grazes my cheek. Even so, the force of the impact sends me flying almost a meter, falling backward on the ground.
- Pretty good, the training has worked with that too, though I've had to reduce my speed and strength by a large portion.
A small cut on my cheek was oozing some blood.
-What was that for?
I say, trying to catch my breath, still on the ground.
-Testing your reflexes. We didn't train them much, but they're pretty good, good enough. He stated proudly: as of today, I can say that you've passed the physical training.
The world briefly froze, turning shades of blue; a series of pop-ups began to appear.

After choosing all the skills, the blue tones disappeared, and the world continued its course.
- We better start as soon as possible. First, let me explain what Ki is.
He stated it before being interrupted by the noise of a distant voice.
- Master!
It was Hercule's voice; it sounded upset and even scared. In the distance, we could see his motorcycle heading towards us at full speed. It seems that there is someone with Hercule.
The motorcycle stops in front of us; Hercule shouts.
- Let's take him inside, NOW!
Krillin reacted instantly. Hercule got off the motorcycle holding what seemed to be a person whose appearance was hidden behind a hooded robe. Krillin went to Hercule, and they both carried her into the house, where I followed them.
I was at the entrance of the room watching how the scene developed. They both left the figure lying on the table.
-What's wrong with him?—I ask, surprised.
- The R.R. seems to have attacked him.
Hercule says, while Krillin took off the figure´s robe.
The figure that had been laid on the table surprised me; He was wearing blue rags that covered his entire postcranial area down to his feet, forming something like a Roman gown. His skin was dark green, full of wrinkles and folds that gave him an old appearance. The figure was the largest in the room, around 1.75 meters tall; his ears were pointed. On his head there were two small antennas with a round tip coming out of the ends of his forehead, and he had no eyebrows. His mouth and eyes were closed, but he was breathing weakly due to the contractions of his chest.
There was no doubt; I was in front of a Namekian, but who was it?
Krillin finished removing his gown; luckily, he had some more cloth to cover from his waist to his ankles.
- The spheres
Krillin said, who was looking at the Namekian's body in astonishment. I came closer to be able to observe more closely; I have no words to express what I felt. On the Namekian's chest are the seven dragon balls embedded, forming a hexagonal pattern, with the one with seven stars in the center. They did not present any change; they were the same as in the series, except for one: one of them, the one-star ball, had a different color, red. The star was black, and the area of the skin that came into contact with the ball was full of a kind of crack that glowed in a neon red color.
-Has he used it?!
exclaims Hercule.
- That seems to be it.
Krillin affirms.
-Shit, we have to remove the evil energy before it wakes up.
Evil energy? I ask.
-There is no time to explain. Do you remember how to do it, Hercule?
-Yes!—He affirmed, nodding.
-So let's do it quickly.
Krillin placed the palms of his hands on the red sphere, making a small grimace of pain as he rested placed himself behind his master and rested his hand lightly on his back. Immediately afterward, around Hercule's body, a small pink veil began to accumulate. I sensed that his aura, enveloping every part of his body, little by little, concentrated in his hand to connect with Krillin, who was covered in this pink aura. Krillin concentrated his aura, like Hercule, in the palms of his hands. Krillin's was yellow, and then he murmured a series of words. The aura of Krillin's hands was enveloped by a dark aura. It is a reddish-colored sphere that, unlike Krillin's, which is polished and completely adapted to his hands, is pointed and contours around his hands, forming polygons and geometric figures, mostly trying to consume Krillin's aura. As this dark aura spreads through Krillin's hands, the sphere regains its normal orange color.
—Wait...—Krilin says, expectantly. When the sphere completely regains its orange color and the star lights up again, he exclaims, —DO IT!
Thus, Hercule's pink aura quickly concentrates on Krillin's hands, trapping the dark aura between them, and begins to do something strange; I would say that they are consuming the dark aura. It is a slow process; I must have been watching it for 30 seconds, but finally the dark aura disappears completely, consumed by the other two. The master sighs and, for a moment, seems to lose his balance; however, he manages to stabilize himself. Hercule runs and places him in a chair where he sits down.
-It should be done by now. Well done Hercule," states master proudly.
-What just happened?" I say, completely confused.
-Hercule, I think it's time we tell him a little about our story; could you do it?
-No problem, master, you rest." Hercule took a deep breath. I understand that you know little about this world, since you are young, so let me tell you. Prepare yourself; it may take us a while.
As you may have noticed, this world, the earth, seems like an uninhabited wasteland, or at least around here; however, this was not always the case. The earth used to be what we could now call a paradise; it was a time of prosperity, of science. There was even a tournament called Tenkaichi Budokai to find the strongest warriors in the world. However, as Master Krillin told me, everything changed in the year 701.
One day, out of nowhere, a meteorite crashed into the Earth; it wasn't just any meteorite, no, but a completely devastating one, which destroyed a part of the Earth's biosphere. The Master experienced this event firsthand, but that wasn't the worst; the chaos caused by this event caused a private army called the Black Ribbon Army to be reformed into what we know today as the Red Ribbon Army, whose goal became world domination.
They already had quite a bit of influence; through the numerous contacts they had gained through years of service, they were able to form a large army with fairly good weapons, although it wouldn't be enough to take over the world. It was necessary...— It is at that moment when Hercule moves his head to look at his master—Are you sure I can tell you, Master? I know it's hard for you.
- Go ahead; you deserve to know the situation.
-At the Kame House, several people used to meet, among them there was one in particular, a scientist named Bulma, somehow it seems that she was convinced to go with them and they took her, but not before besieging the Kame House—Hercule stopped short, trying to say the following words cautiously—killing the master and a friend of Krilin, with one of the best scientists on their side they got enough power to start a war, we do not know exactly what they created but with it they were able to overthrow the world governments, the people were divided between sympathizers and rebels, we formed an alliance with various groups of rebels and this one you have here is one of the most important members
—Who is he?
-He is.
—The god of the earth, or so he used to be...—Krilin interrupted—. However, it could be said that he lost his power to his own evil, but it will be better if he tells you that; in fact, it seems like he's about to wake up.
The Namekian's breathing seemed much more normal. Moments after I mentioned it, the Namekian's eyes opened; small, almost demonic scarlet eyes stared directly at me.
