Into the Wild Area rode a jeep driven by a tall, muscular and dangerous-looking man. He had brown short shaved hair and had a nasty look in his eyes. In his jeep were all empty cages and a few Pokémon Eggs. His Rotom-Phone rang and he picked up.
"Ryker here," Ryker said. "Don't worry sir, if there is one thing you can count on is that I always deliver."
Ryker hung up the phone and drove on. Suddenly there was an Onix and Ryker had to get out off the way. One of the eggs that was in his Jeep fell off and rolled downhill.
"No!" Ryker said, he grabbed two Pokéballs from his belt and summoned his Pokémon. "Drapion, Hitmonlee!"
"Drapion," Drapion cried.
"Hitmonlee," Hitmonlee cried.
"One of the eggs is gone, search the entire area and report back to me if you find the egg," Ryker commanded.
The two Pokémon nodded their heads and went in search of the egg.
Team Rocket wandered somewhere in the Wild Area looking for a place to sleep.
"How long are we going to keep walking? I'm tired," Jessie said.
"Me too," James said.
"We have to find a place to sleep first," Meowth said.
"I don't care where we go to sleep, as long as we can sleep now," said James.
James made a misstep, he lost his balance and fell and rolled down the hill. He landed at the end of the hill.
"Ouch," James said, he rubbed his head and then he noticed the egg. "What is this?"
Jessie along with Meowth came running down the hill toward James. "James are you all right?" She asked.
"Yes," James said, he show the others the egg. "Look what I found.
"It's an egg," Meowth said.
"Yes, but which Pokémon is in it?" James asked.
"I have no idea," Meowth said.
"What do you want to do with that egg?" Jessie asked.
"Let's keep it with us," James said.
"And if it hatches?" Jessie asked.
"Maybe it's a great Pokémon and then we should give it to the boss," Meowth suggested.
"Let's just wait it for it hatch first," James said.
James stood up. Team Rocket walked back up the hill and went to sleep under a tree somewhere.
The next day. James woke up and looked at the egg and saw that it was glowing.
"Guys wake up! James yelled.
"What is it? Meowth
"The egg, look at the egg, James said,
"The egg is glowing," Jessie said.
"That means it could hatch anytime now," Meowth said.
"What are we going to do now?" James asked.
"Don't look at me, I don't know what to do," Meowth said.
"Neither do I, I'm no Pokémon doctor," Jessie said.
"What should we do now?" James asked.
"We are going to look for the twerps," Meowth said.
"The twerps?" Jessie asked.
"Yeah, that little twerpette is pretty smart, she probably knows what to do," Meowth said.
"Okay, let's go find the twerps," James said.
Team Rocket left and went in search of Ash and his friends. Ryker's Hitmonlee saw them leave with the egg and he went to go and looked for his trainer.
"Hitmonlee," Hitmonlee cried.
"Found the egg?" Ryker asked.
"Hitmonlee nodded. "Hitmonlee," he cried.
"Good," Ryker said. "Come we are going to retrieve an egg."
Ryker and his Pokémon climbed into his jeep and Hitmonlee pointed in the direction Team Rocket was walking toward.
Ash, Roan and Chloe were in their camp and had just finished breakfast along with their Pokémon.
"Okay guys time to start training," Ash said.
"Pikachu," Pikachu squeaked.
"Twerps," Team Rocket said as they entered the camp.
"Team Rocket," The three young trainers said in unison.
"Pika," pikachu squeaked.
"Yamper," Yamper barked.
"What are you guys doing here?" Roan asked.
"They are obviously here to steal our Pokémon," Ash said.
"We're not going to let that happen," Chloe said.
"We're not, we're here ...," James said, but he was cut off by Meowth.
"Hey that's the Cufant," Jessie said.
"She's my Pokémon now, Chloe said, she stood in front of Cufant ready to shield her.
"Oh when we try to catch her it's a problem, But it's okay for you to catch her," Jessie said.
"She wanted to go with me by her own choice," Chloe said. "And you tried to kidnap her."
"We don't have time for this," James said.
"Right, we are here for a different reason," Jessie said.
"Really we are not here to cause trouble," Meowth said.
"But we are in trouble," Jessie said.
"And if you don't help us that will be double," James said.
"Tell us" Ash said.
James showed the egg. "It's about this egg," he said.
"It is glowing," Ash said.
"That means it could hatch any time," Chloe said.
"And we don't what to do," James said.
"And you Twerpette are pretty smart, so maybe you can help us make sure the egg hatches without any complications," Meowth said.
"And how did you guys get this egg?" Roan asked.
"We didn't steal it if that's what you think," Jessie said.
"I found it," James said.
"Okay I will help," Chloe said. "I do need some things."
"Tell us what you need," Roan said.
"I need towels and hot water," Chloe said.
"We'll take care of that," Ash said.
Ash, Roan and Chloe called their Pokémon back to their Pokéballs. Ash and Roan went to grab towels and warm water.
"It would also be nice if I could get a stethoscope, but of course that's not available here.
Jessie pulled out a stethoscope. "I have one," she said.
"How do you get that?" Chloe asked.
"Is that really important to know now, just take care of that egg," Jessie said.
"Let's get to work," Chloe said. "Yamper help me please."
"Yamper," Yamper barked.
"I have the towels here," Ash.
"And I'm in the process of getting the water warm," Roan said.
"Make sure it doesn't get too hot," Chloe said.
"Okay, got it," Roan said.
"Put the egg over here," Chloe said.
James put the egg down on the towels. Chloe sat down by the egg, she grabbed the stethoscope and started listening.
"What do you hear?" Meowth asked.
"Little creaks and movements," Chloe said.
"Can you possibly guess what kind of Pokémon is inside the egg?" Ash asked.
"No, I've never seen an egg like that before," Chloe said.
"How long before the egg will hatch?" James asked.
"I think any moment," Chloe said.
And Chloe was right, there was a lot of light coming from the egg. The egg hatched and it was a Darumaka.
"Daru," Darumaka cried.
"It's a Darumaka," Chloe said.
"I have never seen a Darumaka like this," Ash said.
"This is a Galarian form of Darumaka," Chloe explained.
"I'm going to look it up in the Pokédex, Ash said.
Ash pulled out his Rotom-Phone and opened his Pokédex app.
Darumaka the Galarian form, an Ice Type. The colder they get, the more energetic they are. They freeze their breath to make snowballs, using them as ammo for playful snowball fights.
"What a cutie," Jessie said.
"Hello there," James said, he picked Darumaka up.
"Daru?" Darumaka cried.
"My name is James," James said.
"Daru," Darumaka cried, he used Powder Snow on James, freezing his head.
"That's cold!" James yelled.
Darumaka began to giggle. "Darumaka," he cried.
"Just one more moment, let me examine this little guy," Chloe said.
Chloe listened to Darumaka's heartbeat and concluded that everything else was fine with him.
"He looks good," Chloe said.
"Since Darumaka is an Ice type, do we still need that hot water? Roan asked.
"No," Chloe said.
"Where exactly did you find him?" Ash asked.
"Somewhere in the Wild Area, down a hill," James said.
"Was there any snow or ice there?" Chloe asked.
"No, nothing at all," James said.
"That's strange," Chloe said.
"Why, is that Twerpette?" Meowth asked.
"Ice types like this Darumaka live in cold areas,"
"Aren't there cold areas in here in the Wild Area?" Ash asked.
"Yes, but you won't find a wild Darumaka, they're usually hidden in the Dens," Chloe said.
"So where would you find Darumaka?" Roan asked.
"Routes near Circhester and near Wyndon," Chloe explained.
"So this little guy is far from his home," Ash said.
"Yes," Chloe said.
"But does he end up all the way here?" Ash asked.
Roan looked at Team Rocket. "And you guys really didn't steal this egg?" He asked.
"We didn't," Meowth said.
"We don't even know where those locations are," James said.
"But then how did the egg that Darumaka was in end up here?" Roan asked
"So there it is, Ryker said.
Ash, Roan, Chloe and Team Rocket turned and saw Ryker standing behind them.
"Who are you?" Roan asked.
The name is Ryker and that Pokémon over there is mine," Ryker said.
"So it was your egg?" Chloe asked.
"Yes," Ryker said.
"Why did you get an egg so far out of the habitat? Chloe asked.
"Someone wanted very badly and I arranged it," Ryker said.
"What do you mean by that?" Roan asked.
"You stole the egg?" Ash asked.
"If you want to call it that," Ryker said.
"You are a Pokémon poacher," Ash said.
"What is a Pokémon poacher?" Roan asked.
"Those are one of the worst kind of trainers out there, they catch Pokémon for money," Ash said. "And often they also steal Pokémon when they make that money."
"That's terrible," Chloe said.
"We may be thieves, but we do care about Pokémon," James said.
"And that's why we hate poacher," Meowth said.
"Like that little twerp said they are the worst kind of trainers," Jessie said.
"So you stole this egg from the nest just so you can make some money," Chloe said.
"And that wasn't an easy job," Ryker said. "Now give me that Darumaka so I can get my money."
"That's disgusting, you're disgusting," Chloe said.
"Little girl I've been called many bad things," Ryker said. "Hand me that Pokémon!"
"I didn't think so," Chloe said.
"And you guys are going to stop me? Don't make me laugh," Ryker said.
"I will make sure you will never get your hands on the Darumaka," Ash said, he turned to Pikachu. "Ready Pikachu?"
"Pikachu," Pikachu squeaked.
"Go Scorbunny," Roan said, he grabbed Scorbunny's Pokéball and summoned him.
"Bunny, Scorbunny," Scorbunny squeaked.
"Cufant help us too," Chloe said summoning her Cufant.
"I'm not afraid of you or your Pokémon," Ryker said as he grabbed The Pokéballs from his belt and summoned his Pokémon. "Drapion and Hitmonlee beat those weaklings."
"Drapion," Drapion cried.
"Hitmonlee," Hitmonlee cried.
"What kind of Pokémon are they?" Roan asked.
Roan and Chloe both grabbed their Rotom-Phone and looked up the information on Drapion and Hitmonlee using the Pokédex.
Drapion, the Ogre Scorp Pokémon. Its poison is potent, but it rarely sees use. This Pokémon prefers to use physical force instead, going on rampages with its car-crushing strength. It's also know for its viscousness.
Hitmonlee, the Kicking Pokémon. The legs freely contract and stretch. The stretchy legs allow it to hit a distant foe with a rising kick.
"Drapion use POISON STING and focus your attack on Pikachu and Scorbunny and Hitmonlee use CLOSE COMBAT and attack Cufant with it," Ryker commanded
"Drapion," Drapion cried.
"Hitmonlee," Hitmonlee cried.
Hitmonlee ran at Cufant and hit her with his attack. Drapion launched his Poison Sting at Pikachu and Scorbunny and erased the two Pokémon. The three Pokémon. The three Pokemon cried in pain.
"Oh no, Pikachu!" Ash said.
"Scorbunny," Roan said.
"Cufant," Chloe said.
"Can you still fight Pikachu?"
Pikachu stood up, looked at Ash and nodded his head. "Pika," he squeaked.
"Can you still go through Scorbunny?" Roan asked.
"Scorbunny," Scorbunny squeaked.
"Cufant are you able to fight too?" Chloe asked.
"Cu, Cufant," Cufant trumpet
"Jessie call your Hatenna," Chloe said. "Her Psychic and Fairy attacks will be strong against Hitmonlee."
"Oh, right," Jessie said, she took out Hatenna's Pokéball and summoned her. "Hatenna!"
Jessie summoned Hatenna, when she came out of her Pokéball she turned immediately toward Pikachu, Scorbunny and Cufant.
"No, you shouldn't attack them Hatenna," Jessie said.
"Hatenna," Hatenna cried.
"Focus your attacks on that Hitmonlee, he is now your enemy," Jessie said.
Hatenna nodded. "Hat," she cried.
"Even if you bring in a whole army of Pokémon, they will never have a chance against my Drapion and Hitmonlee," Ryker said.
"Don't underestimate us," Jessie said.
'How are we going to handle this?" Roan said.
"We just have to go full and fast in the attack," Ash said. "Pikachu use VOLT TACKLE against Drapion."
"Pika," Pikachu squeaked.
"Hatenna use PSYBEAM on Hitmonlee," Jessie commanded.
"Hatenna," Hatenna cried.
"Hitmonlee jump up and dodge the attack, then DOUBLE KICK," Ryker commanded. "And Drapion use POISON TAIL to stop Pikachu."
Hitmonlee jumped up, managing to dodge Hatenna's attack and then hit her with his attack.
"Hatenna," Hatenna cried.
"No, Hatenna," Jessie said.
Pikachu had activated his Volt Tackle and ran at Drapion, but Drapion managed to stop his attack with his Poison Tail and did quite a bit of damage to Pikachu.
"Pika!" Pikachu squeaked.
"Pikachu!" Ash shouted.
"Those two are just way too strong for us," Roan said.
"I'll get Camorant, he can help us," James said.
"No, James, you must flee and get Darumaka to safety," Jessie said.
"But, I can't just let you fight this guy alone," James said.
"We'll be fine," Jessie said.
"Go to Motostoke a get the police," Roan said.
"Come James!" Meowth said.
"Yamper go with them," Chloe said.
"Yamp?" Yamper barked.
"I need to you help them protect Darumaka," Chloe said.
"Yamper," Yamper barked.
With Darumaka in his arms, James began to run away with Meowth and Yamper.
"Don't let those two escape," Ryker said.
"Then you have to get through us first," Ash said.
"Don't waste my time, I beat you easily," Ryker said.
"If you think we are giving up," Roan said.
"Then you are wrong," Chloe said.
"I have had enough of you, Drapion use HYPER BEAM and Hitmonlee FOCUS BLAST," Ryker said.
Drapion and Hitmonlee used their attacks. Not only were the Pokémon hit, but Ash, Roan, Chloe and Jessie were hit and knocked over.
"We won't have any more of that for now," Ryker said.
Ryker walked away with Drapion and Hitmonlee and went in search of James and Meowth.
James and Meowth were somewhere in the Wild Area.
"Do you think we are already close to Motostoke?" James asked.
"I don't know," Meowth said.
"Darumaka," Darumaka cried.
"Don't worry Daramuka we will protect you," James said.
Darumaka snuggled up against James. "Daru," he cried.
"Little Yamper can you find the way to Motostoke? James asked.
"Yamper," Yamper barked.
"There you are!" Ryker said.
James Meowth and Yamper turned and saw Ryker standing there.
"Oh no he found us," James said.
"How did he do that so fast?" Meowth asked.
"Give that Darumaka here," Ryker said.
"No, never," James said.
"What have you done with Jessie and the twerps?" Meowth asked.
"I have made sure that those no longer get in my way," Ryker said. "And the same I will do to you if don't give me that Darumaka."
"That's not going to happen.
James grabbed Cramorant's Pokéball and pulled it out. "Cramorant I need you," he said and he summoned his Pokémon.
"Cramorant," Cramorant quacked.
"I just managed to defeat 4 Pokémon, do you really think with you alone Cramorant can defeat my Drapion and Hitmonlee," Ryker said.
"Cramorant is not alone, you must also take it on me," Meowth said.
"Yamper," Yamper barked.
"If you guys want it that way," Ryker said. "Attack!"
Ash began to regain his consciousness, he looked around and saw Pikachu lying down.
Ash crawled toward Pikachu. "Pikachu," he said.
"Pika," Pikachu squeaked
"Are you okay?" Ash asked.
"Cha," Pikachu squeaked.
The others also began to regain consciousness and went to their Pokémon.
"Scorbunny," Roan said.
"Bunny," Scorbunny squeaked.
"Have a nice rest," Roan said and he returned Scorbunny to his Pokéball.
"You too Cufant, return," Chloe said, as she called Cufant back.
"Hatenna return," Jessie said returning Hatenna to her Pokéball.
"Where is Ryker?" Roan asked.
"He went after James and Meowth," Jessie said.
"What should we do now?" Roan asked.
"I've an idea," Ash said, he grabbed Corvisquire's Pokéball and summoned him. "Corvisquire I choose you!"
"Corvisquire," Corvisquire crowed
Ash opened his bag, took out paper, a pen and piece of string. Ash wrote something on the note, folded it and with piece of string he tied it to Corvisquire's leg.
"Fly to Motostoke and take this to the police," Ash said.
"Cor, Corvisquire," Corvisquire crowed.
Corvisquire flew off in the direction of Motostoke.
"What's in that note?
"What's going on here, If James and Meowth don't get to the police this is the only way to warn them," Ash said.
"Do you think they are still in the Wild Area?" Jessie asked.
There was a loud noise that sounded like attacks from Pokémon.
"What was that?" Roan asked.
"That sounds like there's a Pokémon battle going on somewhere around here," Ash said.
"James, that Ryker must have found him," Roan said.
"Come we must help him," Jessie said.
Ash, Roan, Chloe and Jessie ran in the direction where the sounds were coming from. The four arrived and saw that Yamper, Cramorant and Meowth were trying to fight Drapion and Hitmonlee. James held Darumaka tightly in his arms.
"Stop!" Ash shouted.
"You again, I thought I managed to get rid of you," Ryker said.
"You won't get rid of us that easily," Ash said.
"Pikachu," Pikachu squeaked, suddenly he felt a painful sting."Pika."
"No, Pikachu you are still too weak to fight," Ash said.
Yamper jumped forward and was ready to fight. "Yamper," he barked.
"Drapion use DARK PULSE and take care of that little mutt," Ryker commanded.
"Drapion," Drapion cried, he used his attack and hit Yamper.
"Yamper," Yamper barked.
"No, Yamper," Chloe said, she rushed over to her Pokémon. "Yamper are you okay?"
"Yamper," Yamper barked.
Chloe lifted Yamper and held him close to her. "You were so brave," she said.
"No matter what Pokémon we put in, his Pokémon are just way too strong," Roan said.
"Right you're boy, so just give up and give me that Darumaka and everything will be over," Ryker said.
"No, you can do as many attacks as you want, but you won't get this Darumaka," James said.
Ash took out the Pokéballs of Grookey and Chewtle. "Grookey and Chewtle I choose you!" He said, summoning his Pokémon.
"Grookey," Grookey chattered.
"Chewtle," Chewtle snapped.
"Help us to stop him," Ash said.
"Toxel go," Roan said.
"Sobble we need your help too," Chloe said.
Roan and Chloe called to their Pokémon.
"Those little Pokémon of yours will never be able to beat my Pokémon,
"Never say never," Roan said.
"How are we going to defeat him?" Chloe asked.
"We will find a way, he must not get his hands on Darumaka," Ash said.
"Pika," Pikachu squeaked.
Then the sound was the howling of Corvisquire through the air, followed by a police siren. Officer Jenny's car stopped and she got out. And Corvisquire landed on Ash's arm.
"Cor, Cor," Corvisquire crowed.
"Good work Corvisquire," Ash said.
"Corvisquire," Corvisquire crowed as saluted his trainer.
"Surrender Ryker, you can't escape," Officer Jenny said.
"I'll never surrender, if I have to fight everyone here now, you won't catch me," Ryker said. "Drapion, Hitmonlee get ready!"
"Then have it your way," Officer Jenny said. "Go and catch him Boltund!"
Officer Jenny summoned her Boltund and Ash grabbed his Pokédex.
Boltund the canine Pokémon and the evolved form of Yamper. This Pokémon generates electricity and channels it into its legs to keep them going strong. Boltund can run nonstop for three full days.
"This is your last chance to surrender and come in peace," Office Jenny said.
"Don't think so," Ryker said. "Drapion, Hitmonlee attack!"
"Boltund dodge and then use THUNDER," Officer Jenny said.
Hitmonlee and Drapion headed towards Boltund, ready to attack him, but the Pokémon managed to dodge the two. Boltund used Thunder a then took out Drapion and Hitmonlee. Ryker called his Pokémon back and tried to make a break for it.
"Don't let him escape Boltund," Officer Jenny said.
"Stop him, Corvisquire," Ash said.
Corvisquire and Boltund went after Ryker. Boltund tackled Ryker to the ground and Corvisquire used Peck on his head to keep him down. Officer Jenny walked over to Ryker, she cuffed him and took his Pokémon from him.
"So you won't get out of jail anytime soon, Ryker," Officer Jenny said.
"Thank you for you help Officer Jenny," Roan said.
"No problem, that's my job," Officer Jenny said.
Officer Jenny put Ryker in the back of the car and then drove away. During all the commotion, Team Rocket had gotten away.
"Oh no," Chloe said.
"What is it?" Ash asked.
"Team Rocket is gone, with the Darumaka," Chloe said.
"They helped us and they really seem to care about the Darumaka," Roan said.
"So you're saying that this time it doesn't matter that Team Rocket has the Pokémon?" Chloe asked.
"Maybe not this time," Roan said.
"Come let's go, our Pokémon could use a treatment at the Pokémon Center," Ash said.
The three trainers called their Pokémon back and walked toward Motostoke to go to the Pokémon Center.
Somewhere else in the Wild Area was Team Rocket together with the Darumaka.
"It's over Darumaka you are safe now," James said.
"Darumaka," Darumaka cried.
"He says he's happy," Meowth said.
"Would you like to come with us?" James asked.
Darumaka smiled and used his Powder Snow attack on James. "Daru," he cried.
"So that's a yes," Meowth said.
"That's great," James said.
It was a difficult and dangerous day. Our Heroes and Team Rocket worked together to stop a great danger. And now Team Rocket has added Darumaka as a new team member.
