A\N Monster cliffhanger, right? Well, here is the next chapter. (Sorry about the wait, there were some *ahem* technical difficulties. You miss me?) I decided to break the ice real quick by moving this visit to King Kai to here. It was originally intended to be a flashback, but I thought "Hey why not make them laugh first before giving them some answers?"

Also, you may have already noticed that there have been changes to things that you wouldn't think would happen. Such as Vegeta's training. The reason that Vegeta wasn't more relevant was because Toriyama (RIP) did not like Vegeta. So much so that he.

A: made him a fragging idiot (especially in the Cell saga).

And B: The only point in Z that Vegeta was stronger than Goku was in the Saiyan saga, and the android saga.

Also, the androids and Cell (and future foes {or original ones that only exist in this story}) will also be stronger.

Anyway, before I rant any longer and accidently give something away, lets begin the chapter.

King Kai's planet

King Kai was driving his car comically around the small planet he called home. Just diving around, and around, and around, and around, and around. "Ahhh. This is the life." He said.

But then out of the blue, Goku, Yamcha, Tien, and Krillin appeared right in front of him.

"Gaahh!" He screamed as he swerved off the road. Making trenches in the newly planted lawn.

"Ooh ooh ooh ooh aah aah ahh!" Shouted Bubbles the monkey, he was currently running as fast as he could to avoid the Kai who had just swerved off the road. Bubbles was doing considerably well taking in the fact that his opponent was a car. But then he tripped on a rock and fell down. Hooting frantically, he reached for one of the planets x10 apples. He then threw the apple at the windshield of King Kai's car covering it with apple-sauce, causing him to swerve again, screaming all the while.

Gregory heard the commotion and came down to the planet to see what was happening. "What is going on down- Ahhhhhh!" He screamed as he saw King Kai's car zoom towards him. It was too late to evade so he became a literal bug on the windshield. "KING KAI!" Shouted Gregory.

"What?!" Came the loud reply.

"Why does your windshield taste like applesauce?!"

"Really?! Thats where your mind goes?!"

"How about I slam you with a windshield that tastes like applesauce, and then let's see where your mind goes!"

"I would be more concerned with the fact that I was on a windshield!" King Kai then turned on the windshield wipers. "Get off my car! It's hard enough to see without you on it!"

"You *Whack!* Know *Whack!* What? *Whack! Whack! Whack!* You *Whack!* have *Whack!* gone *Whack!* TOO FAR!" He was then launched off the car and into the dirt.

"I know!" King Kai shouted as the idea got into his head. "I'll use the water pump for the windshield!" He then turned on the pump, but instead of water (like what King Kai expected) banana juice came out. "BUBBLES!" King Kai screamed as his vision was hindered further. He tried the wipers again, but this time the juice just stained the glass.

The monkey jumped on the car and started licking the stains while avoiding the wipers.

"Nooo! I don't want monkey spit on my car!"

Bubbles looked forward and saw his favorite tree in the path of the car. He then jumped on the tree while praying to whichever God monkeys worshiped, that it would stop the car's rampage.

And his prayers were answered as King Kai slammed into the tree, stopping him in his tracks. And causing Bubbles to fall out of the tree landing headfirst on the ground.

King Kai got out of his car and started to frantically survey his car for damage. He then remembered what caused him to swerve off the road in the first place and started to growl in anger. "WHY IS IT SO HARD TO NOT RUIN MY DAY!?" He shouted; his face turning purple with rage.

"Heh heh heh." Goku chuckled sheepishly. "Well how was I supposed to know that you were driving your car?"

King Kai growled again, his face turning a shade of navy.

"Oh yeah!" Goku remembered. "I brought something."

King Kai calmed down at this. "Well, thank you-"

"Bubbles!" Goku called. Bubbles then did his famous monkey walk over to Goku. "I brought this for you." He then handed the monkey a jar of banana juice. "I was about to bring you actual bananas, but Tien reminded me that if I just brought a banana here, that it would be crushed by the gravity."

King Kai just watched this transpire, looking on at his students breathtaking cluelessness.

He was so strong.

So noble.

And oh, so clueless.

"WHY DID YOU REMEMBER THE DAMN MONKEY OVER ME HUH?!"

"It's okay king Kai," Goku said with his trademark grin. "I brought some of my wife's cooking for you!"

"*SIGH* Why does it always have to be food with you."

Goku then fished a capsule out of his bag, hit the plunger, and threw it in the air, where it then became a metal box of more capsules. Unfortunately, the box was heavy on earth, so it was really heavy on this planet. Goku also was fairly oblivious to this fact (as he is to most things,) and it came down on King Kai's poor car, squishing it like a flapjack.

King Kai face turned purple again. "GOKU YOU MORON!"

"Heh heh heh heh, I'm just gonna go. Usually when he gets this mad, it doesn't end well." With that, he put his index and middle fingers on his forehead and disappeared.

"GOKU!" King Kai shouted.

Krillin, Tien, and Yamcha was laughing this whole time up until the part where his car got squashed. Now after a silent debate, they decided to wait until he calmed down a little more before they asked him about the Kaioken.

A few minutes passed and King Kai was calmed down enough to start gathering the materials to rebuild his now flattened car, he took all he could salvage from the metal pancake and sent the rest to be reforged into a more useful shape (and by that he meant a new car frame).

After the car was taken care of, he started to check out the food his brain-damaged protege left him. Each capsule was labeled and contained three generous servings within a glass container. Then King Kai finally noticed his other guests. "Well, come in! I have plenty of food." He said with noticeable spite in his voice.

Tien took the lead. "Actually King Kai, I wanted - we wanted to ask you about the Kaioken."

"Okay, what about it?"

"Well, I think I have hit the limit of the Kaioken."

"Well, that would happen eventually."

"Well, Yamcha thought about making a new version of Kaioken."

"Really? Well, let me tell you that you are wasting your time. I gave up trying to improve the Kaioken long ago."

"Come on King Kai!" Krillin said. "We really need your help. Could you at least tell us how it works?"

"Well in that case listen up! cause this one's a dozy. The Kaioken is born of your power plus a power completely opposite your own, and when the two powers merge, you get stronger. The more of the new power you create, the stronger you become. However, the Kaioken is very inefficient because since the Kaioken is born of that other power in addition to yours. First it has to take your power and turn it into something completely different. Now, here's the important part. Because the power is so very different form your own, a lot of energy is wasted in the transformation. So, it has to take the power it needs, then it needs to gather extra power for the transformation, and it has to do all of this continuously, resulting in the huge drain. The Kaioken requires complete control of your power, do you remember telling me you that?"

"Yeah." Said the Z warriors in unison.

"Well, the reasoning behind this is that the power must come from everywhere in your body, not a single part of your body can slack of on this. because then it will spread out the burden among the already overworked parts of your body, and if there is not enough energy to go around it will convert your cells into energy. This is what makes the Kaioken a last-resort kind of move."

"So," Yamcha said, deep in thought. "It sounds to me like if the other power was similar to our own, then it would take less energy to use."

"Maybe," Said the kai. "It does make sense that if there was less of a difference than it would take less power for the transformation. That's it! If the power is more similar to the user's, then all that wasted energy will be used more effectively."

"Well that will be easy enough!" Krillin said cheerfully.

"But," The north Kai interrupted. "It can't be so different that it won't have the same effect. But maybe after a three or five years you will perfect the technique."

"But we only have a year and a half until the androids show up!" Yamcha said with dismay showing on his face.

"Well then, I guess I will have to speed up the process by pitching in." Said the Kai, who was stating to get in a good mood.

"Are you sure king Kai?"

"Yes of course I'm sure, I am after all the creator of the original technique. I can't use it myself anymore, so I will need you guys to follow my instructions." Despite the whole ordeal with his car, King Kai was really liking how the day was turning out so far. "Now I'll be able to make an even greater technique! I'll need the help of these earthlings as test subjects, but when the T's have crossed, I will have been the one who perfected the technique."

? ? ?

"What is interesting, is that he was given the same name as back then. His name was Kakarot."

Frieza was truly astounded, he didn't even know what to think as the he was becoming numb at this shocking revelation.

"Yes, Kakarot. The very same Saiyan you fought on Namek."

"But I don't understand." Frieza said, barely louder than a whisper.

"No I don't expect you to either. At least, not without explanation. He was the only Saiyan to realize that what they were doing was wrong. He found us under a flag of truce, he said that he wished to help us, he also said that we could destroy him if we didn't believe him. Even though he was the weakest Saiyan at the time, he was still stronger all of us who hadn't ascended. He knew this and thus asked to ascend. Unlike the others, we sensed no ill intention in his conviction. We granted his request and got a rather. . . unexpected result. His power completely outshined everyone on the planet. It even exceeded the power I contain within me today. However, the gods wished the planet to be destroyed. They did not need the warriors from exotic planets to do their dirty work, it was just something they desired for entertainment. So the planet was destroyed despite our efforts. Using our ability to forge things from ki, we made a bubble with atmosphere inside. We managed to save a few thousand of our people plus the Saiyan. We thought it was over. But our new friend refused to give up. He lend gave us his power, and we used it to forge the planet you saw earlier. After that we came in contact with a sub-space where we are gods."

"And that is the story." Chie said.

"Why tell me this?" Frieza said with genuine curiosity. "Why tell me this when I never asked for it, unless I'm a part of this somehow."

"It is true that you are connected to the past, and what is to come." Chie said. "But don't think for one second that we will make a single second of hesitation to destroy you if we decide that is the best course of action. Especially after all those lives you have taken."

"Yes," Kyoudo spoke with his booming voice. "We even altered your dreams so you could feel some of the pain your victims had to experience"

"So it was you guys who tortured me every night for the past few months. I guess I shouldn't be too surprised." Frieza said, giving his best effort to keep his cool in the presence of these wanna-be gods.

"No we are not gods." Shu spoke out loud, making Frieza jump. "At least not when we are outside this place. But we are most certainly above you."

Frieza was astounded, he was sure he had shielded his mind but he had read his thoughts anyway, furthermore without Frieza even knowing he was doing it.

"Getting back to your question," Shu spoke finally. "These events have been shaped in the most strange way possible. We check the flow of time and possible scenarios that could threaten the universe, as long as they didn't originate from our own universe. But there was an anomaly, and there is a way that we can check and find out if our timeline is supposed to look like this."

"And what might that be?" Frieza asked hoping he could catch him on another mistake. "Or was his "mistake" just a way to call them out?"

"By looking at this timeline's branches."

"What do you mean "branches"?"

"There are an incredible amount of parallel timelines, and more are being created every second. Or rather what we would perceive as seconds if we managed to leave our timeline. Within this timeline as are most timelines, there are twelve universes all of which are within a separate dimension. and there are ten dimensions. Each timeline is different in some way or other. There are some timelines that don't even resemble each other. Branches are different, they are essentially the same timeline except the inhabitants did something -usually involving machines- to change something within it, resulting in a split."

"So long story short," Frieza said, trying hard to understand what was being told to him on the account that it might save his life. "The differences between timelines is natural, while the differences in splits are man-made?"

"A very simple-minded way to look at it, but yes." Chie said, the scorn showing in her voice.

"Now, now Chie," Kyoudo said in a mocking tone. "I would hate to see you lose your cool in an outsiders presence."

"Oh yes, I'm sure that you never had an outburst at an outsider before. Just like I'm sure that you didn't influence Shu to sentence him to a whole month of punishment!"

"You had lost your perspective on that case. And yes Shu did agree with me on the punishment, it was fairly tame and he will never blow up another library again. So excuse me for acting for two people of the council because you couldn't let go of the fact that you had the hots for him!"

"COULD YOU TWO STOP BICKERING FOR FIVE MINUTES!"

Frieza couldn't help but be amused at this, for two reasons: ONE it was like seeing two children fighting. TWO because of the back-and-forth between them, and the fact that he was getting used to the overload of his energy sense, he figured out from the energy spikes and changes, which one was Chie and which one was Kyoudo.

He felt and energy shock pass from Chie to Kyoudo, and then another from Kyoudo to Chie. As if they were to children slapping each-other on the arms in a desperate play to get the final hit.

"Lets get back on track again shall we? How we first found out about the split was when we saw that only this branch has had a certain event before the split. We knew what it was instantly and as we started looking for connections, we found out that there are several different endings no matter what we do. Unfortunately half of the outcomes depend on what we do here, we could try to risk it and simply try to write our own outcome, but that very rarely works out."

"Hold up." Frieza said suddenly. "How many scenarios end well?"

"That's the problem, we can only see the final play in the final battle. We don't know how to set it up, or even if it is realistic. But to answer your question. . .

One."

A\N Take a small break before continuing. Have a snack, read something else for a while, go and take a swig of orange juice or whatever.

You ready? Then lets go.

ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

The zero dimension.

"Is it really that hopeless?" Frieza asked.

"I'm afraid so." Shu said. "But in times like this, it is best to stick with the most logical choice. In this circumstance that means choosing the set of timelines where we last the longest and are the most prepared. The ones that we fared the best in, have ties to the history lesson we gave you a bit ago. Als-"

"Wait a minute" Frieza interrupted.

"What?"

"You said that something was changed to make this split different."

"Yes, it was."

Frieza could tell that he was dodging the question. "So, tell me."

"I'm not sure that is a good idea."

"Or maybe it is the perfect idea. That way I won't be able to be distracted by him saying something like, "I'm the reason you are alive" or some other crap."

"Well that's the thing, it is true what you just said. During the battle with the Super Saiyan, you had a realization that wasn't supposed to happen."

"What realization was it?" Frieza asked. But he knew the answer.

"You know what I'm going to say to that."

"Yes, I do. I was not supposed to know that he can sense energy."

"That's correct." Kyoudo said. "And since we have finally got that out of the way, it is time to decide our course of action."

"Yes," Chie spoke. "It is time. To change history at all requires immense power, so the creator-"

"Why do you call him the creator?"

"Well at the current moment, he has altered history and changed our actions. We would not be here if he hadn't intervened in our history's rightful course, and who knows? This timeline has a. . . Different fell than they usually do. He may even have caused this timeline to form indirectly. Anyway he must have a lot of power at his command."

"So," Kyoudo said deep in thought. "Fighting is out, at least for now."

"We need to make the decision that will give us the best chance of surviving an encounter with him." Chie responded. "And that doesn't necessarily mean fighting. We could try sealing him away for example, or maybe his being here was a complete accident, in which case we just have to send him back to his timeline."

She sounded hopeful. . . A bit too hopeful, as if she was trying to convince herself.

"All of history, will depend on what decision we make right here and now." Shu said. "Well. . . At the current moment anyway."

"What do you mean?"

"What we saw right now, is history without anymore changes that already exist. Something tells me that he will try and mess up our timeline on many more occasions"

"So that means that we have a little more margin for error."

"Maybe so, but maybe we should have just tried to steer him in the right direction in the first place."

"I'm not so sure about that."

Frieza's heart seemed to skip a beat at Kyoudo's tone.

"I don't think he can change. We have taken people who were far better than this tyrant, and dubbed them as unredeemable. And we were right! I think he will start his killing rampage back up in full-force the second he leaves the planet."

"Yes, but the circumstances are different now. This time our entire timeline hangs in the balance." Shu said.

"My point exactly! If we let him loose, he will destroy all others with potential to fight the creator."

"So in that case we give him a year-long rehabilitation period."

"That won't work either." Chie broke in. "If we keep him in stasis, he won't get stronger, and if he stays at the level he is at right now, then he won't be of any use to anyone."

"Well we can't just kill him." Shu said, his voice sounding rather annoyed.

"And why not?" Kyoudo asked.

"From what we have seen of the creator's power we can safely assume that the creator can destroy practically anything. And I have a sneaking suspicion that this is a sort of game, or experiment. Since we are aware of his existence that makes us an outside force. If it was Beerus, or Majin Buu, it would not be a problem. He would just leave this timeline to start another trial, or maybe abandon the experiment all together."

"But since we know about this. . ."

"He will obliterate this entire planet without leaving any survivors." He finished gloomily.

"I have an idea." Chie said.

"Well feel free to share it with the group." Shu said, feeling another argument around the corner.

"How about we train him for a year, and during that year whenever he falls asleep, he will have to endure the final moments of one-thousand of his victims, every night."

A rock seemed to appear in Frieza's throat. "One-thousand! Each night for a whole year!"

"That is actually an amazing idea."

"Its okay." Kyoudo said exasperatedly.

"Do we have an agreement?" Shu said.

"Yes." Said Chie quickly.

"I guess." Came Kyoudo's reply.

"Then that is the decision. The accused's comrade's will be placed in a stasis. Unaware of the time going by. Meanwhile, the tyrant will be training in his waking hours, and being rehabilitated in his sleeping ones."

As if he had just spoken a password, a sparring partner made out of the same energy he felt all around him appeared.

"Come, it is time to begin your punishment."

A\N Court adorned! (LOL)

While I would greatly appreciate review's of any kind, please don't ask me for more answers. (Well you can. . . You just wont get them.) Feel free to comment about anything you want. It must be a review or I wont pay any attention to it (You can say what you want about it but when you have a grand total of 15 reviews you want a few more.

Non-cannon submission is still available. So if you want to see anyone that was widely ignored, I will do it (Providing it does not conflict with my plans). I am very easily swayed when it comes to something people like. If I get enough review's saying to put something in, I will do it (again, it cant go against the stuff I have planned).

Same goes for if you want a character to be more relevant.

And as much as you may want to, you can't honestly say that you didn't at least smile at the part with king Kai.

Review please!
