Chapter 20: Taking a Side
Deep in the forest.
There was an old cabin and outside were the goblin grunts guarding patrolling the area.
Selena was in an old cabin making bacon and eggs. "To think I would cook for a human." She glanced at a young boy asleep on the couch. "It's been so long since I did."
"Zzz...zzz...Yuno..." He murmured in his sleep.
Back at the lower road
Akise was shot down by Yukiteru as he continued to fall over. "Yuki..."
Minena couldn't believe what just happened. "Hey 1st! What's the crap!?"
Yukiteru rushed toward the ninth diary user and threw a punch into her mid-stomach sending her crashing into her motorcycle.
"Minene!" Nishijima exclaimed getting in the open and taking out his pistol preparing to fire until Yuno took a shot at Nishijim's pistol and shot it away.
Wasting no time, Yukiteru took another shot at Nishijima shooting his right leg. "Ahh..." He yelled falling over holding his leg in great pain.
Kamada couldn't believe what she was seeing. "This is the 1st...that I know of..."
John had to admit he wasn't expecting this. "So, the brat had the nerve to attack his allies. I have to admit this is quite the turn of events."
Luckily, Akise had armor under his clothes so he barely felt the bullets as he slowly got up. But as he raised his head to look up he saw a gun pointing at his head. "Don't move..." Yukiteru warned in a stone-cold tone. "I don't give a rat's ass about your detective bullshit or whatever you uncovered, Yuno is my woman...I won't leave her you son of bitch..."
Akise was stunned by what he was seeing but before he could Yukiteru slapped him hard on the face causing him to tumble over. "Ah..." The impact from Yuki's slap left a red bruise on his cheek. "Akise...you come near Yuno or spill any bullshit about her...I'll kill you!" He began to kick Akise in the chest ruthlessly causing the young detective to cough violently and gasp. He then walked over to Yuno and unexpectedly he started to kiss Yuno on the lips.
Akise's eyes widen with shock and something inside his chest began to ache.
Just then, Yukiteru's Diary began to make sounds, and he looked at the entry. "Looks like we got company, no matter. Let's go...Yuno..."
"Y-Yuki..." Akise panted as he put his arm out his vision got blurry and the last thing he saw was Yukiteru and Yuno about to retreat when Aiho and the others arrived on the spot.
"Freeze!" Aiho pointed her pistol. "Yukiteru, Yuno, what is going on here?"
"Guys, Nishijima and Akise!" Tsuchimikado went over to Akise checking for injuries.
Misaki checked on Nishijima's leg. "Whoa, this leg looks bad."
"We need to get them to a hospital!" Touma yelled.
Yuno got in the vehicle while Yukiteru was getting inside the driver's seat. "Wait, Yuki, what is the meaning of this insanity!?" Misaka demanded angrily.
"Heh..." Yukiteru smirked and got inside the vehicle and took off.
Just then another vehicle arrived. "Hold it, I'll taking the mayor from this insanity."
There was Honest.
"Just who in the hell are you?" Misaka asked giving the old man a hard look.
"Mind your tongue little girl..." Honest warned clearly annoyed at the girl's tone. "To answer your question, I'm Honest the supervisor that works under Mayor John Bacchus."
Touma glared at the old man. "What do you want?"
"I came here to get the mayor, so, if you don't know mind, I'll take the mayor while you attend your friends injuries." Honest had a smirk on his face.
Before Touma could answer, Aiho stepped in. "Very well, take them..."
"Aiho..." Touma began to argue.
"Kamijou, she's making the right choice, our friends are hurt so we need to get them to a hospital." Tsuchimikado said with a serious look.
That's when Minene was getting up on her feet. "Damn it...didn't think the little runt could punch like that."
"Minene!" Misaka exclaimed as the terrorist froze as she stood up.

6:00 PM A Hospital in Sakurami City
Akise and Nishijima were in the operating room getting treatment for their injuries. Orsola was assisting with her healing magic as soon as the two boy's treatments were done.
Orin was asleep in a recovery room with Taro watching her. "Orin...Kamada..."
Touma, Tsuchimikado, Misaki, Kanzaki, Index, Last Order, and Accelerator were in the waiting room taking in what just happened. Kuroko, Saten, and Uiharu arrived there a little later and went to talk with their friends.

Earlier just as Minene got up and Aiho along with her friends confronted the terrorist.
"Freeze!" Aiho took out her pistol.
"Seriously, you're going to point a gun at me?" The terrorist woman questioned not flinching.
"Never mind that, tell what happened these guys and what reason are you here for!" Touma demanded.
Minene was slightly taken aback by Level 0 Esper's tone but didn't show it. "Still annoying as you are, well, if you want answers, then ask Akise and Nishijima, but considering the injuries they just got, I think I'll just give you the short version at the hospital."

Touma's POV.
"Damn it, we had no choice but to let 11th go with Kamada." He noticed the TV was on.
"According to the news, the two terrorists Yukiteru Amano and Yuno Gasai have fled from the scene of attacking John Bacchus the Mayor of Sakurami City. The reports from the Sakurami Police informed that the attackers had fled the scene. In other news, the family of the departed Keigo Kurusu has met a tragic end, both family members were brutally murdered in their apartment room. Police were unable to gather the identities of the killer and asked the neighbors if there were any witnesses to get a look at the killer but to no avail."
"Do you guys know what else happened to Yuki and Yuno?" A random Sakuarami city officer asked Aiho.
"Nothing, they just fled once we arrived, but, we couldn't go after them since Nishijima and Akise were injured in the process," Aiho replied.
"Do you guys have anything on where those two went?" Kuroko asked taking out a notepad. "And did Yuki say anything to you guys?"
Touma turned his head looking upset. "No, it's just weird, Yuki just smirked and left."
"Yukiteru...what is going on with you?" Misaka wondered looking a bit upset.
"It's obvious," Accelerator spoke looking out the window. "The wussy was upset about his parents still than we thought and cracked like an egg."
"That can't be, he was just fine, he was able to get over it with our help," Uiharu reminded.
"She's right, this is got to be a mistake," Saten agreed.
"Mistake or not, Yuki attacked two people who were part of a police force and he's facing charges," Kuroko stated.
"What do you mean by that?" Saten asked almost shocked to hear that.
"C'mon, you know attacking a police officer is considered a crime, so, I think the Sakurami Police force won't take this lightly," Kuroko replied looking troubled too. "We might be forced to take them into custody if we have to."
Touma let a small gasp. "Let me guess, are they giving us a chance to deal with Yuki and Yuno ourselves?"
Kuroko looked at her supposedly rival. "Yes, but, that's not the worse scenario from what the chief told me."
Before the conversation went further, the doctor arrived on the room. "Excuse me, I believe you guys are friends of Nishijima and Akise Aru, right?"
Aiho stood from her seat and approached the doctor. "Yes doctor, what are their conditions?"
The doctor held up his clipboard. "First Nishijima's leg was severely shot, the muscles and bone itself were damaged almost beyond repair."
That didn't sound good for the others to hear as Minene arrived on the spot disguised as a nurse. "Luckily, Orsola's little magic trick was able to save Nishijima's leg. If his leg was still in its condition, his leg would be unusable."
"What about Akise?" Uiharu asked.
"He wasn't too hurt expect for the kicks that his attacker did on his chest." The doctor continued. "No further damage was done, but, so he'll be able to leave without any checking for any further problems."
A short time later
Akise and Nishijima were taken to the recovery room and were visited by Touma and the others.
Touma, Tsuchimikado, Misaka, Misaki, Kanzaki, Kuroko, Tsubaki, and Orsola went to talk to Akise about what he discovered throughout his investigation.
"So, what you're saying is that you think that Yuno Gasai is some kind of imposter?" Touma questioned looking a bit perplexed.
Akise closed his eyes. "Yes, there could be no doubt that somehow Yuno killed the real Yuno and switched places with her. For what reason, I'm not sure, but, why would the girl that's with Yuki now, kill the other Yuno?" He looked a bit frustrated. "I told Yuki about my discoveries, but, he didn't believe me, instead he just shunned what I said."
"Sounds like to me, you didn't try to explain enough," Accelerator remarked coldly getting the young detective to look at the other level 5 Esper. "Instead, you just went silent after the little wussy shot you...like some kind of rejection."
"What do you mean?" Akise asked looking offended which was unlike him.
Before Accelerator could get a word in, Touma put his arm out. "Never mind that the main question is, how can you be so sure that Yuno is an imposter?"
"I agree..." Tsuchimikado had his arms crossed with a slight smile. "I mean, so far you discovered the identities of the three corpses you found in Yuno's household. However, I agree that the DNA samples that you gathered from the third corpse and compared to the umbilical cord you got from the other orphanage are a match. However, you didn't prove much about your wild theory."
Akise narrowed his eyes looking a bit perplexed. "What exactly are you saying?"
"C'mon think about it," Kanzaki spoke getting the detective to look at her. "If Yuno was an imposter, couldn't she have been wearing a disguise or something?"
Akise went silent as she hit the nail on the head. "The fact is that you haven't got any evidence to back up your little conspiracy theory. All you have is assumptions and nothing more."
Akise gave a slight hard look at the Academy City students. "Look, I ensure that my theory as you say must be true."
"How can that be it?" Touma questioned looking serious. "Think about it this way, if you're so convinced that Yuno is an imposter then why not take a DNA sample from the imposter yourself and compare it to the samples of the umbilical cord and the corpse you found? If Yuno's DNA doesn't match the other samples then you're right but, if proves to be a perfect match, then it's...you don't have a case."
Nishijima was overhearing this. "I hate to admit it but, Touma and his friends make a good point."
Aiho smiled like she was impressed. "I see they figured out Akise's case had a few holes in it."
Minene was peeking through the door overhearing the conversation. "Well, those Academy City brats know what they're saying. As much as I hate to admit, they're smarter than they look."
Akise looked a little annoyed like he was put in his place in a way. Accelerator chuckled with a smirk. "I guess we made your point, but, from that dumb look on your face. It seems to me that you haven't been convinced to retract your steps on your case."
Aiho's cell phone rang. "Who is calling me?" She walked out to the hallway.
"What is our next step?" Touma asked.
Tsuchimikado already had that answer but he didn't know how to say it. "I think it's obvious..." The others stared at him except for Akise. "We'll have to find Yuki and Yuno, considering the damage they caused the police force will be after them."
"Agreed, considering they both attacked Nishijima, they're in more hot water," Kanzaki commented with a troubled look. "Attacking an officer is considered a crime after all."
"What about the identity of the Kurusu's family murder?" Touma asked. "We haven't found that out yet."
"Not sure..." Misaka turned her attention to Uiharu, who noticed her stare and slowly nodded.
"Anyway, we should find out where Yuki and Yuno will strike, but, we should find where 11th will make his next move," Tsuchimikado suggested.
"How should we do that?" Touma asked impatiently. "We should try to find Yuki and Yuno to talk some sense into them!"
"Easy Kami, you seem to forget we have no leads on them," Tsuchimikado reminded with his calm expression. "If you think we looked at Yuki's household, we did, but they weren't there not even at the hotel they were spending the night...however...I think I might know where 11th might make his move..." He then glanced at Nishijima suspiciously and this intrigued Minene.
Aiho returned to the recovery room looking distressed. "Guys, we got bad news..."

The Hospital in Sakurami City
Touma's POV
"A day has passed since the shooting at the mayor of Sakurami City. The two suspects were a boy and a girl still on the run and hiding somewhere. As for the murder of the Kurusu Family, that's unknown at least for now.
Akise Aru was seen walking in the hallway. "Akise has recovered and Nishijima's leg healed good, but the doctor said his leg was lucky, if Orsola hadn't used her healing powers, Nishijima's leg would've been lost. As for Yukiteru and Yuno, they're still out in the city somewhere plotting their next move. Tsubaki stayed behind to keep an eye on Akise while Minene was secretly assisting. Saten, Orsola, Kuroko, and Uiharu decided to stay at the hospital to help out the patients too, mostly the kids and young adults."
The three talked in the waiting room after assisting a child in a wheelchair while Saten, Uiharu, and Orsola went to have lunch in the break room.
"I take it that you're still thinking about the case on Yuno," Minene said taking a sip of an energy drink.
Akise turned his head away looking a bit hurt. "Yuki..." He remembered the ruthless behavior he displayed and how he shot Nishijima and said some horrible things including how he hurt him. A flashing image of Yukiteru kissing Yuno came to his head. "..." He was silent not saying a word.
Tsubaki saw the look of distraught on her crush's face. "Akise..." He felt her hand placed on his hand. "Don't worry, I'll be to help you with ever you need. I still believe we try to solve this case together." Hearing those words from the sixth diary holder made him somewhat happy. "Thanks, Tsubaki."
A heartwarming moment began to stir between them. "I'm right here, you know," Minene reminded with a slightly annoyed look.
"Anyway, I'm impressed that Touma and his friends were able to figure out some things we didn't consider,"
Akise went silent upon hearing that.
"As much as I hate to admit, they had a point," Tsubaki agreed. "We didn't consider taking a DNA sample of Yuno herself to see if she's an imposter."
Minene sighed nearly rolling her eyes. "For once I agree, it's clearly that they're smarter than they look."
Akise frowned a little. "Still, it doesn't make sense why Yuno would kill the real one and take her place."
The two Diary users knew Akise made a good point.
"Either way, should we try to find other DNA samples from the...supposed imposter?" Tsubaki asked.
"That'd take too long, we'll just have to find another way to conclude my theory," Akise suggested standing up. "For now, I will leave most of this issue to Touma and the others."
"Speaking of, any leads on the murder of the Kurusu Family?" Minene asked.
Nishijima approached the three. "Nothing, but, I wonder if it was Yuno that did that, but, for some reason, what would she gain on killing them?"
"Nishijima...how are you doing?" Tsubaki asked.
"Fine, my leg is clearly recovered, but, the doctor said if my leg were to get injured like that again...my leg won't be lucky next time," The inspector replied. "Anyway, I'll be guarding the mayor again."
Minene was about to question that, but she noticed him holding a bag. "What's in that bag?"'
"Did you forget, you wanted some cream puffs!" Nishijima yelled comically.
"Well done, I guess you're good for something," Minene beamed chewing on a cream puff with a delicious reaction.
"A woman's mind is hard to understand these days," Nishijima groaned at the woman's sudden change.
"Speaking of, where is Aiho?" Minene asked.
"About that, considering the situation, Aiho was permanently removed from the mission and Uiharu along with those other middle school kids won't be able to return to the station to assist with the investigation," Nishijima said a little distressed. "Aiho was pissed off, which surprised me since she's such a calm woman."
"Guess I wouldn't blame her, if those jackasses pulled me off a mission like that, I would be pissed off too," Minene remarked bluntly.
"Either way, I'm sure Aiho and the others are making other plans to help," Akise presumed. "For now, I need to continue my investigation, Tsubaki, let's go."
"Right..."
With that, the two teenagers left leaving Minene alone with Nishijima.
"Well, what do you plan to do next?" Nishijima asked curiously.
"I think you know inspector...I'm going to kill 11th, the one who will become God isn't that bald bastard, it'll be me," Minene declared taking off her outfit.
Nishijima was afraid of that. "You realize I'm the mayor's bodyguard, right?" Minene seemed aware of that and her smirk didn't leave her face. "Then you'll be my enemy, so I won't hesitate to kill you if it comes to that, but, no doubt, that Aiho and her little team would try to find him too, so, will you kill them too?"
Nishijima was taken aback by that question and looked away unsure how to answer that. "..."
"Look, you must realize who the true enemy is here for now unless you want to make Academy City your enemy, I suggest you decide who you want to side with," Minene advised. "I would imagine that Akise is on Yukiteru's side, but, don't forget those freaking monsters will surely make their next move, so all of us should be on our guard."
Nishijima kept looking away. "What surprises me is that Akise is still willing to help Yuki after being shot and kicked."
Minene just chuckled. "That's what love will do to you, even you should realize that." She noticed the odd stare that the inspector was giving her. "Hey, what's with that look?!"
Nishijima turned his head away not answering the terrorist's question. Minene shook off her reaction and sighed deeply. "Anyway, it doesn't matter to me, if sherlock is still on Yuki's side, he'll be my enemy if he decides to protect the little wussy." Nishijima would be lying if he didn't want to admit that was true, but it was the truth. "Aiho...what would you do in a situation like this?"
"Anyway, you should consider what you should do from here on out, if not you'll be a body bag." Minena walked past without taking a look at the inspector.
Outside the hospital's parking lot.
Tsubaki and Akise were walking through the area. "Yuki..." Akise thought with a distress look. "Why are you doing here?"
"Hey..." The two teenagers stopped and turned to see Kuroko.
"Kuroko...what's up?" Tsubaki asked.
"I would like to speak with Akise for a minute, please?" Kuroko requested sounding a little serious.
Akise's eyesbrow raised in confusion. "What reason do you need to speak to me?"
"Its regarding of what is going with you," Kuroko replied looking serious. "So, Tsubaki, could you give us a minute?"
The sixth diary user was puzzled but she glanced at Akise, who motioned his head to the left signaling her to leave. The girl nodded reluctantly. "Alright, I'll meet you by the bus stop, but be quick, it'll be here in a few minutes."
Leaving the two alone, Kuroko decided to speak her piece. "Akise, I've seen a lot of crazy perverted boys but you're just nuts as the ones back in my world."
Akise frowned looking offended but mostly confused. "Perverted...what do you mean by that?"
"Well, since we're on a tight schedule, I'll get the straight to the point." Kuroko had her arms crossed. "I want to know are you trying to separate Yuki from Yuno because you want him to be safe or is it because of something else...like jealousy?"
Unexpectedly, Akise's eyes widen a bit. "..."
At two strange towers in Sakurami City.
Honest the mayor's supervisor was in his office sitting in his chair talking privately with two people. "To think that someone like you got a copy of something like this." One of the two was Vivian handing over two flash drives.
"Hehehehe...give me credit that I have a gift that'll make any person give me what I want," Vivian gloated handing the two flash drives. "Plus, I get to hang around and find some dirt on the mayor, and with my power I was able to get some more information one of the flash drives that one of the Academy City children was keeping and I made a copy of what was on it."
There was Vector in his human form. "Yes, both of the flash drives will surely make everyone turn against the mayor and Yuki."
Honest held the flash drives in his hands with a wide malicious grin. "Yes...I could use these to put 1st and 11th in hot water that'll guarantee them a danger to the entire city." He put them on the desk and pulled out a drawer. "And, with this Grimore that one of your buddies had, I'll be sure to kill anyone in my way. Anyway, if you excuse me, I have to make some important calls and give these two the police."
Vector smirked as he began to think about his defeat against Touma. "Hear that Kamijou, with this plan, will be a bad wake-up call...one that'll show there is no hope for humanity and that your belief is nothing more than crap. I will enjoy killing you in front of your lady friends."
B
Deep in the forest in the old cabin.
Selena was sitting in the living room on a couch and talking to someone who had finally awakened. "So, you saved me...from drowning."
"Yes, for what reason, I'm not sure..."
"Where are my friends and Yuno?" The boy was Yukiteru still a little shaken up. "
"I don't think it's wise for you to go find them yet..." Selena said crossing her legs. "Because as you are right now, you don't have a chance against the enemies that tried to kill you."
"But...my friends need me..." Yukiteru whimpered.
"Sure...but, once things get out of control you'll just hesitate or chicken out," Selena said coldly. "Even if you don't the enemies are too strong."
"But...what about Yuno, how is she?" Yukiteru asked.
"Not sure, but, why do you seem worried about her?" Selena asked.
Yukiteru looked away with an unsure look. "I don't know...but, for some reason, I can't stop thinking about her. I care about her as well as my friends." He then had a slight determined look on his face. "For now, I want to find my friends..."
"Even so, you're still not strong enough to fight against my former comrades, if you do so, you'll just get killed," Selena said standing from the couch.
"You got an idea or something?" Yuki questioned.
"Maybe...but, if you're determined to get stronger, you will allow me to train you to get strong, build some muscle, and gain your magic power." Selena took out a Grimore book. "I think some of these spells should help you out, but first, we'll start some training on your physical body, so, we'll begin right now." Yukiteru was unsure about this, but it's clear he was almost killed by the monsters yet he didn't trust the goblin girl that almost tried to rape him. "She's right, the enemies almost killed me and I'm not sure what else is going on. Plus, she told me that Kurusu's family is dead...damn it..." He felt like crying but shook it off. "For now, I need to get stronger not just for my friends but for myself..."
In the Minene's cabin.
She was taking a shower taking in on what had happened so far. "Damn it, things are becoming more complicated than it is. First off, 1st grows some balls and mortally wounds Nishijima and Akise. What is going on with that brat unless 2nd is convinced to become so violent then it's obvious that she's the one controlling him. As for Touma and his friends..."

Nishijima informed Minene of the events that happened at the Sakurami Tower. "Hold on, 7th was defeated by Touma and his friends along with 1st?!"
"Correct, well afterward, 7th tried to flee with Mr. Amano, only to be ambushed by this Ray I mean Vector and Yoshino guy, then they were fatally wounded and Vector gave Yuki and the others time to escape."
"Well, this is getting weird, why would those freaks spare 1st and the others?" Minene asked.
"Not sure, but I get the feeling this is somehow connected to what Vector said," Nishijima replied.

"According to Vector's last words, he said "It doesn't matter if Yuki means his words, his time is about to come"."
Minene opened her eyes slightly. "If Vector is trying to imply that he killed 1st somehow, then why is Yukiteru here?" A thought occurred in her mind. "Wait, is it possible that the Yukiteru is a fake or someone in disguise?" She rubbed her head with a frustrated groan. "Damn it, this doesn't make sense, but, if the spineless 1st is dead, then...this might shatter Akise and the others."
An image of Touma came to her mind. "Crap, why am I thinking about that twerp now?" She recalled his heroic speeches and the stuff he accomplished in his world. "What makes this bastard so positive, what keeps him going?" Taking a deep breath. "Never mind, I need to focus on 11th, and speaking of it, I wonder who was that old bastard that saved him. Also, what does he plan to do with 8th?"
Later that day

Sakurami Central University
Security was guarding the grounds of the area.
Minene appeared on a building's roof like a ninja. "Looks like the University facilities. Why is the 11th in a place like this and the increase of guards?" Below was Nishijima, but she wasn't surprised. "Guess the idiot made his choice." She looked across and saw a dome. "Sweet, this must be the place." She stepped to the edge checking her Diary's entries. My" Escape Diary" hasn't said anything I should be worried about." She jumped across managing to climb on the side of the dome and cut her way through the glass using a glass cutter. She climbed on a balcony.
"This is it..." The voice belonged to John and he wasn't alone. There was Kamada.
"So he's here, but for" Minene stopped abruptly as she noticed the supercomputers in the on the sides of the room. "
"Holon 111 is what these supercomputers are," John explained. "If you're going to ask me what I'll do with these, I'll use your Diary to connect with the Holon."
"What good will that do?" Kamada asked a little confused.
"Just a while ago, all citizens of Sakurami received an account to access "Holon. Of course, that includes the police as well. If it's Holon it should be able to handle that much traffic."
Kamada raised her eyebrow in confusion even more. "You don't get it..." A crazy insane smile took shape on the mayor's face. "With Holon and your Diary's ability, you can make all the citizens of Sakurami into..."Apprentice Diary Holders."
Minene couldn't believe what she just heard. "The superior races have always possessed superior power and talent. Take the people of Macedonia Rome and the Germanic People. I want to turn the people of Sakurami City into another great race like them with the power of the Future Diary!"
This was a lot to take in for Minene. "Damn it, this bastard has lost his mind." Seeing her chance, she tossed a grenade at the mayor but surprisingly he caught it with his bare hand before it could get past him. This startled Minene as well as Kamada. "I'll give this back to you."
9th had no choice but to flee. "Damn it!" She cursed and jumped out of the Dome.
"Capture the intruder!" John commanded the security.
"Yes sir!"
Outside the Dome East Research Wing
Minene continued to run. "Does it have something to do with his Diary!?" She saw three security guards up ahead. "Damn it, they're here already!" She took a slide down a dirt hill but to her surprise, there were two security guards. "Damn, two more are here?!"
"Ryuga...warn the male dormitory."
"Yes sir." The man said.

"To think that your Diary powers would come in handy," Honest walked out of the shadows.
Kamada got on edge seeing another face. "Don't worry, he's my supervisor."
"A pleasure to meet you ma'am, I'm Honest and the supervisor of John Bacchus." The old bearded man bowed his head politely.
Minene evaded the security guards and attempted to find another way to escape. "Damn it, is his Diary like 6th's Diary, no...that wouldn't explain how he found out about my secret attack in the first place?" Just then her Diary's entry changed. "Male Dormitory: In front of the 11th! Caught by one of the 11th's underlings and then killed by the 11th. Dead End."
Having no choice, she jumped behind some bushes. "My escape route is gone...I can't...I need to escape..." She looked across and saw herself as a child holding bread scared. Two security guards approached. "We found her!"
"Damn it!" Minene cursed under her breath as the guards pointed their guns.
Suddenly out of nowhere their blood spurt out of her side and they collapsed on the ground dead.
"What in the hell?!" Minene thought in shock.
Nishijima stood by the woman. "Hush...follow me..." Surprised to see the inspector and saw he wasn't alone.
Accelerator was walking by. "Looks like these security asses aren't as tough as they look."
"Why are you..." Minene began to ask. "Nishijima will inform you of this, I'll keep the guards busy." Accelerator ran off in a flash.
"What the hell are you doing here, idiot?" Minene asked removing Nishijima's hand and pulling away. She then noticed the inspector holding a small box and handing it to her. "What is this?"
"Something that'll change your life..." Nishijima glanced at the woman as a small smile began to take shape on his face.
Minene didn't waste a second opening the box and what she saw inside surprised her. "A ring...wait..." Nishijima turned her fully. "I decided to be on your side...PLEASE MARRY ME URYUU!"
Minene was flabbergasted by this out of nowhere proposal. "What?" She began to fantasize about her and Nishijima becoming a couple and raising a child together.
Without her realizing it until something touched her finger. "Hey, don't put that on me!"
"C'mon, I think you'll make a wonderful mother," Nishijima said with a straight yet tender look.
Minene blinked her eyes a few times taking this in. "So blunt...he's always an idiot..." She thought but that's what else also got her in the dark. "Accelerator, why the hell is that crazy bastard here?" She then looked back at the inspector. "Speaking of, what is that albino twerp here?"
"Oh about that..." Nishijima began to say.

Earlier at the Academy City's apartment.
Nishijima went to talk to Aiho and Touma about his situation.
"So, you have a thing for Minene, right?" Aiho asked.
"Yes, I know it sounds silly, but, I can see that woman has a cute side to her. That said, she has a soft spot for kids, I saw the way she handled the injured children at the hospital." Nishijima said looking away. "That said, I'm still supposed to take Yukiteru and Yuno into custody assuming I catch them."
"The police still have records about Minene's actions in the past, if she were get discovered not to mention her relationship with you goes public, the Sakurami Police will arrest her and you too," Aiho reminded.
"I know...but, I still want to try to help Uyuruu out as well as try to figure something out with Yukiteru."
Touma chuckled a little. "If you want to do that, then we'll be able to help." The inspector was surprised to hear that. "Touma..."
"Listen, I can tell that Minene has a horrible tragic childhood. Whatever went on in her life it is clear she had no friends so she spent her entire life alone and yet she puts on a tough girl face trying to act like nothing is wrong with her, but she is alone inside. So, if you think you should try to help her go for it. Honestly, if Minene was causing trouble in my world I would stop and help her find a path she could believe in and find happiness."

Minene was speechless. Nishijima noticed her reaction. "I have to admit, Touma is more positive than I thought he was. No wonder Kurusu was able to see his positive influence in the end."
Minene wasn't listening much but mostly hearing what Touma said about her. "Damn it...why is that city brat's words getting to me...fuck..." She shook off the thought. "Where is Kamijou and his little buddies?"
Nishijima shrugged his shoulders. "I think Tsuchimikado is suppose to come here later, as for Touma, he and a few of his friends went with Aiho to look at something. Saten, Uiharu, Kuroko, and Orsola are still helping at the hospital including Taro and Orin."
"What is Orin's condition?" Minene asked.
"Well, she's fine, just a little shook up," Nishjima replied. "She's still resting and Taro will keep an eye on her until she's released by the doctors."
B
At the University Dome
Ryuji was informed of the situation. "Sir, our guards were found dead, it's clear another enemy is lurking in the area!"
John couldn't believe it. "Damn it, at this rate, we'll be ruined, send every security guard to find this other intruder, I can't afford for this plan to go in smoke!"
"Yes sir!" Ryuga went to get something.
John then pulled himself together. "Anyway, sorry about that, now...let me see the location of your Diary, I had police search for it at your nursing home earlier but it wasn't there."
Kamada looked down for a second. "Very well..." She began to undress herself which seemingly stunned the mayor. "Too hot in here?"
The nurse director rolled her eyes a little upon hearing that question. "You wanted to see where my Diary was, right?" She revealed a device was attached to her stomach. "That said, the clothes I wear aren't just because of my job at the orphanage."

Nishijima was running after a confused yet conflicted Minene. "Hey, wait up Uyuruu!"
"In any case, I have to blow up that computer...turning all the people into Diary Users, this isn't good!" Minene thought looking troubled.
Her thoughts vanished when she felt the inspector grab her wrist. "Being together is better than being alone...are you shy?"
"This isn't the time nor the place for that!" Minene barked comically.
"By the way, I was told your first kiss was stolen by Kamijou, is that right?" Nishijima questioned bluntly.
"Damn it, did you have to bring that up too!?" Minene barked her face flushed. "Look, I always lived my life all alone!"
"Alright, but, I just want to make you happy a better life," Nishjima said almost begging. "I promise to give you a good life with our kids and as my wife."
"Pervert!" Minene was accused comically.
Nishijima wasn't giving up that easily. "Alright, if I have to help you complete this mission, will you consider my offer?"
Minena pulled her wrist away looking reluctant. "Fine then, perhaps I will consider it." Hearing that condition made the inspector somewhat relieved mostly happy. "Once I do, you'll be mine."
Minene didn't say a word instead she ran off back to the Dome. "What am I getting so flustered over this..."An image of Touma came to her mind recalling the day he fought against her and accidently kissed her, even though it was mostly her fault. "If Touma was trying to convince that inspector idiot that I could live a happy life, I can't...I'm a terrorist after all."
"Gee, didn't think someone like you could blush?" To her surprise was Accelerator. "Huh...when did you get here?"
"Never mind that, if you're wondering where the others are, Touma and the others went to do some searching in Sakurami City." The white albino Esper informed which got the terrorist Diary user to look at him with a puzzled expression.
"Normally, I would ask, but considering the situation, you can save whatever details you have about your friends," Minene said with a huff.
"An intruder!?"
"Wait, there's another one! Looks like the one that killed the other guards in the East!"
Minene managed to pass them swiftly. "Shoot her down!" One of the guards along with the other took out their pistols.
"Hey, don't take your eye off your other enemy!" Accelerator was already in front of the two and stomped creating a big tremor throwing the guards off their balance.
"What did this punk ass do!?" One of the guards panicked.
"If I were you old geezer I would watch my mouth...because I'm about to give you all!" He punched the first guard directly in the stomach sending him crashing into the ground hard bumping his head.
"You little bastard!" The other guard cursed pointing his gun but before he could pull the trigger he stopped and blood spurt out of his side. "How...did you..."
"These guys aren't much of a challenge..."
"Oh no...but I should..." Honest approached behind the white-haired teenage boy but before the other Level 5 Esper could react, he got punched in the face but not before his fist was redirected landing a blow on the boy's face and sending him crashing.
"I must admit that you were quite strong for someone your age, young man," Honest smirked pulling back his arm.
"Damn it...how did you know my weakness?" Accelerator sat up wiping the blood from his nose. "Never mind, I will enjoy taking you apart old man. Besides, this isn't the first time that someone discovered the weakness of my Esper Ability."
"Rrgh!" The two charged at each other throwing their fists.
Minene was in the hallway took out her flash grenade and tossed it through the upcoming security guards creating a smokescreen. "Got you assholes!" To her surprise, they came rushing through the smoke-wearing goggles. "Oh no..." She was soon pinned to the floor.
"Foolish girl..." John held up his cell phone. "To think you would try to use your Diary to win...also, I was told by the powers that your little buddies have. Although my Diary isn't able to predict your friends but thanks to Honest he'll be able handle those brats." He had an intrigued look on his face. "To think that such power exists in this other world where magic and science exist."
Kamada was pondering of what the mayor said. "Huh, how does he know about Touma and the others and how will that Honest guy fight against them."
"Damn it...at this rate, I'll die for sure..." Minene thought of having no one option she attempted to blow herself up with the guards.
Before she could make that move, three gunshots were blasted through the security guard's backs.
There stood Nishjima with a gun. "I'd told you I wouldn't leave your side!" Give it to me!" He took Minene's bomb and ran toward the doors to the computer room. "Take this, you bastard!" Throwing the bomb into the center of the Holons, he and Minene retreated.
"What about 11th!?"
"We don't have time to check! Shooting my co-workers, I'm in the same position as Yuki and Yuno..." Nishijima replied.
The two managed to escape the dome as it blew up.
"The computer has been destroyed and now there's no way the citizens will become Diary Users," Minene said sitting on the ground.
"Y-yeah..." Nishijima said as a question popped into his head. "Wait, where is Accelerator?"
"Last I checked he went to fight the two bodyguards while I went inside the Dome," Minene replied rubbing her head as a sudden thought occurred to her. "Wait...something isn't right here, I thought the 11th could foresee everything...but then how could he not predict Nishjima and Accelerator...it can't...be..."
Just then she felt arms embrace her. "You're mine now..."
"Hey, hey, stop that!" Minene demanded flustered.
"C'mon, you promised to be mine..." Nishjima said looking into the terrorist's eyes.
"How did 11th's ability not predict your actions!?" Minene asked ignoring the inspector's words.
Despite the question, Nishijima just smiled tenderly at her. "Do you hate me?" Those words left the 9th Diary User speechless as her heart began to beat. "Please...be my...wife..." He leaned in to kiss the woman on the lips, which their lips almost touched until someone approached them.
"Ooh, didn't think you had the guts..." There stood Tsuchimikado who had a sly grin on his face.
Minene pushed the inspector aside comically. "Hey blonde, how long were you standing there?"
"I just arrived here..." The Hybrid Esper bluntly replied.
"Well looks like the pervert showed up," Accelerator arrived behind the blonde Esper with a bruised face surprising Nishjima.
"Accelerator, what happened to your face?"
"Never mind that, what is going on, did you guys kill the mayor?"
Before Minene could answer, there was a voice on Nishijima's walkie-talkie radio. The inspector held the radio. "What is the hell is with these reports!"
"A guy from the hospital is about to commit suicide!"
"How could this be, the Holons were destroyed," Nishijima said quite confused.
On the city road, John was riding his vehicle with Kamada sitting beside him.
"It's begun." He spoke with a small smirk.
After the incident at the university, Kamada decides to work with John's plan while Nishijima decides to choose to take Minene's side as well as ask her hand in marriage. After destroying the Holon, John's plan somehow unfolds, what is the next step for Nishijima and Minene and where are Touma and his friends?
Lastly, there seem to be two Yukiteru's which aren't known to the others, so, what is going on, in due time.
