The morning after Hanabi had confessed to Naruto he was in the kitchen of his family home looking over some documents that involved making his fiancée a part of the Namikaze clan. 'I can't believe that nee-chan had these ready like she expected me to take a second wife.' He thought as he had just come from Hokage mansion and the Rokudaime Shizune had given him the necessary documents she had already prepared. "I really have to change the perceptions people have of me." Naruto complained, a hand in his hair.
"What was that?" The voice of Hanabi entered his ears while he worked, looking up he saw the twenty-one-year-old enter the room yawning. She was in Satsuki's clothes after spending the night with them last night, he couldn't help but smile at her attire of a loose-fitting black t-shirt and dark green pants, her hair usually in a pony/dolphin tail hung loosely down to her lower back. She smiled when their eyes met, not hearing what Naruto had said. "Morning Naru-ni… I mean Naruto." She thought that it wasn't proper for a future wife to call her future husband big brother, but it was so natural for her to do so.
"Morning Hana-chan." Naruto smiled at the pout she was giving him. "What?" He chuckled.
"Chan…"
That being the only thing that she said Naruto widened his smile, that he had not changed the way he addressed her after so long. He had always thought of her as cute so the 'chan' honorific fit. "Well, what's the problem with that? I have always called you Hana-chan." He said ignoring recent history when he dropped the 'chan' part.
Hanabi frowned, finding a seat next to him at the dining table with a wince of pain as her butt made contact with the wood of the chair. "You called me that when I was little, it kinda feels like you are treating me like a kid again."
Naruto noticed that she was in pain and readied himself to ask her about it. "Are you ok?"
The young woman looked at him blankly for a couple of seconds before catching his meaning, she let off a pained smile at the memories of last night, it wasn't what she had always dreamed about, their first night together, but having Satsuki there helped with the initial stages and she was thankful to her despite the want for a more traditional experience. "No I am fine, I have always been told that the first time always hurts but I did not know how much."
"I'm sorry…"
"Why are you apologizing, Naru… Naruto." She spoke catching a near faux pas, she needed to work on that.
"Things got out of hand…" Naruto frowned looking at the papers, he wondered if he was ever going to get used to the two-wife thing. "Satsuki shouldn't have pushed things like that. She was excited about the new experience. And I might have been swept up in it all."
Hanabi shook her head, this was always something that she wanted, Satsuki aside, she always wanted a big family and that meant children. Though she wasn't ready she couldn't blame them. From the way that her sister talked the two of them have always had a big appetite for this kind of thing. "No…" She shook her head. "It's alright." She said with a large smile. "You and Sats-nee have always been together, and it is only natural that you would be all for this… I am just glad that you both accepted me."
"Is that so…" Naruto replied not knowing what else to say.
Hanabi looked up at the ceiling noticing that Naruto was working on something before she had entered the kitchen. "What do you have there?" She said leaning on the table in her chair.
"Oh, this?" Naruto questioned, as he lifted a piece of parchment with the details on how their clan had gotten a new member through a future marriage. Naruto grinned as he explained. "Well, Hana-chan, my future wife. Have you seen Hinata fill one of these before?" Hanabi nodded with a blush. "I am going to give you a couple to fill out later but we need to do this if you are going to be recognized as a Namikaze by the village."
"Ah," Hanabi responded, looking down at her hands as her fingers drummed together, she was overjoyed. All morning the girl couldn't help but think of this all as a dream. She had a shyness to her since the night before that seemed foreign to her, she could not help it.
"That reminds me…" Naruto got her attention by taking out a small box from the pocket of a black windbreaker with the Uzumaki clan symbol on the right sleeve, surprising the young woman. "Satsuki has not seen it yet, but since she is my first I wanted you to be the first to see it, not that you mean any less to me than she does." He opened it to reveal a bracelet with a small charm of a symbol close to the Uchiha fan but the top half of the fan housed the Uzumaki swirl in the red, as if it was the blend of both clans mirroring the Namikaze now. Hanabi just looked at it with her mouth open. "What do you think? I am going to have to look for seamstresses or tailors who will make clothing for us, but Satsuki and I have been looking into everything for a while now. And I didn't know what to get as a mark of our engagement before I could get you anything near an engagement ring." Naruto spoke, remembering that he was the one who was proposed to twice.
Hanabi's hands quickly found her mouth before she wrapped her arms around Naruto's neck tackling him to the floor with a loud thud. She did not know how to tell him, how to express how happy she was, how much she loved the man that she had in an embrace, how she wanted to spend the rest of her life with him. So she just defaulted to tears and peppered his face with kisses, hoping that this would express even a microcosm of that feeling.
Naruto chuckled, getting a hint as to where Izumi's clinginess came from. "I guess you liked it." His answer was not verbal as she took his lips with hers, they spent some time on the floor like that.
