Merge Camp
Day 28
Chun-Li, Cyrax, Little Mac, Princess Peach, Sektor, and Slade Wilson
The reward losers head back to camp, and have to scrounge up little portions of rice. Chun-Li's stomach grumbles, and unfortunately for her: she doesn't have much to stop the hunger.
"This is getting ridiculous.." she says, taking a seat. For the first time in a while, she actually looks defeated. Cyrax takes a seat next to her.
"What ails you, Chun-Li?"
"It feels like Diana has gone on EVERY reward. I would actually like to win an immunity. Coming up short so much is not for the soft." Chun-Li vents. "If she makes a run all the way to the the end, this will be the most annoyed I have ever been. That includes our losing streak."
"We just ended HER winning streak. Placed top two to be exact." Cyrax points out. "She is not as invincible as she's made out to be."
"It feels like it sometimes. I understand the Samoa cast's gripes about her. Personable, but frustrating in competition." Li admits, getting more desperate to win a necklace against her.
Chun-Li: I would have liked the Italian, but Diana gets in our way once again. I can't save myself if she keeps winning challenges. Yes, i battled Cyrax for the necklace before, but he is more of a friend than a foe. I have said countless times that once he's gone, I will need to win out, and Diana stomps on my goal.
Chun-Li's frustration with Wonder Woman's challenge wins aren't the only frustrations going around. The word itself spreads like a virus, because MAC is elsewhere, digging a hand into a tree. He pulls it out, and..
He really thought he would find an idol.
"Damn."
Unfortunately for Mac, he's not alone. Slade spots him in the distance, and decides NOT to give him any space.
Slade: He thought it would be nice to follow me around, and question me like he was a detective after Li Mei's exit. What goes around, comes back around Little Man. I'll make sure you never find an idol.
Mac sighs just hearing the approaching footsteps. Instead of acknowledging Slade's presence, he just keeps walking ahead. The intent screams "please go away", but Slade doesn't give a damn about social cues and keeps following.
"Any luck on your idol?"
"Can I just have some time alone?"
"I would have liked some time alone when you pressed me." Slade says, reminding him of their unpleasant interaction early merge.
"Literally did that because it wasn't cool." Mac defends. "Why are you going SO hard for me? The damage is already done."
Well you were going hard for me. I am allowed to play this game as well." Slade answers. It's not a popular one, because Mac gives him the silent treatment.
Little Mac: I don't get this guy's plan. Gordon can win at the end. Cyrax can. Diana. Chun-Li. Literally ANYONE but us now. He better have a good explanation for this, because it's pissing. ME. OFF.
Immunity Challenge
Day 28
"COME ON IN!"
It's nearing the evening when the castaways hit the beach. If this challenge runs too long, there won't be much time to strategize, and even less time for some to save themselves. Cyrax possesses the immunity necklace. That necklace stand is inevitable though, and Jeff approaches early. "Cyrax, I'll be needing that back."
The cyborg hands it over. "I will hope for two."
"You'd tie a personal best." Jeff remarks, hooking the necklace on its rightful stand. Once his rituals done, Jeff puts his full focus on the competitors. "Alright. Immunity is back up for grabs. For today's challenge, you're going to balance on a narrow perch, while holding a buoy between two handles. If at any point the buoy drops, or you fall off the perch..you're out."
Cyrax shakes his head. "This challenge never lasts."
"But we will have a winner. The last time we used this, Daisy won individual immunity, and went on to win the game." Jeff recalls. "Get into your spots and we'll get started."
The castaways are on their perches, as Jeff is ready to call the painful action. "Can't Buoy Me Love" is a quick hitter on contestants, and may prove true again even with a stronger bunch. "FOR IMMUNITY. Ease into your positions, and I'll count you down."
As they attach those poles to their own buoys, some hands are already visibly shaking.
"Five…four…three…two…"
.
.
.
"One."
There's an eerie quiet to start the contest. There's no time for trash talk when one slight slip up can cost you the entire challenge. You don't even have to talk trash to flop. Gordon learns this lesson first, as his grip gives out, and the buoy pops away from him.
"Fuck."
"Gordon, you're out."
Chef has to eat another defeat on the bench. The cameraman's sat next to him, so he turns to it. "I wish the best of luck to these wankers." He won't be alone over there for long, because Mac loses his control and the buoy falls. Peach tries to make the save on her own, but can't come up with anything.
"TWO OUT in ten seconds!" Jeff shouts. "This challenge may look easy from home, but come out here and try to do it yourself. It won't be a fun time." His reminder of the application process will surely motivate someone on a future season. OR they will have to feel the pain of this challenge too. It'll likely be the second one at this point. Nonetheless, SIX players remain in the challenge.
"Finding your balance is very important. If you move a SMIDGEON, your time in this challenge up. Pretty irritating to do in real time, isn't it?" Jeff asks, but gets no answers. "You're all focused in. It would be a shame if you suddenly lost that focus."
His voice bites into the concentration of Cyrax, who drops after a slight movement. "That was on purpose, Jeff Probst."
"Well you're still out."
Cyrax heads to the bench, ending a potential streak he could have gone on. It's now down to five. Diana, T'Challa, Chun-Li, Sektor, and Slade. The top one is inevitable, but the next drop shakes the bench up…because Diana's buoy drops.
"What the hell?" (Gordon)
"She..she lost?" (Peach)
"New winner." Cyrax adds, having at least a little satisfaction from his loss. With Diana's loss, she's open. She couldn't regain control no matter how hard she tried, and now, as Cyrax said, they will deal with a new immunity winner.
"We are about to get our THIRD immunity winner, across four votes. The competition really IS stiffer this season." Jeff comments. "No one can really go on a run. Highest we've had is two, but someone will add to the diversity tonight."
Slade's poles are starting to spin the ball. He one end slips up and his buoy falls. "Slade's out!"
Sektor follows suit! "NO."
"That's right Sektor, you're out too!"
In Sektor's confessional, he doesn't take the loss very well.
Sektor: Whoever invented this challenge, has an undying hatred for the players involved.
With another cyborg gone, the field is down to two: Chun-Li, versus T'Challa. Already a different finale from the others, these two look for their first immunity of the season. This could either go long, or end so suddenly someone misses it with a blink.
"These two have almost ten immunities between them. Only one can add another to their count." Jeff says, stationary between their sides. He has a front row seat to a big win. The loser will have to accept what happened, and judging from both their teetering movements, we will have a loser in a few moments. That being…..
.
.
.
T'CHALLA! HE'S OUT! This challenge is over!
"CHUN-LI WINS INDIVIDUAL IMMUNITY!"
She drops her poles, and pops both wrists. "That was too close.."
T'Challa walks past her, with a little pat on the back. "Well done." She accepts his praise and heads for the necklace stand. Jeff gets in her way. "Woah Woah Woah…let me."
"Sorry. I got too excited." She spins around, and he wraps that necklace around her.
"Does that feel good?"
"It sure does."
Cyrax gives a little applause for someone he probably considers a friend at this point. "I told you things would turn around." Li just gives him a little smirk.
Jeff steps by her side to give his speech before they head back to camp, and kill each other with scrambling. "Chun-Li, congratulations on your first immunity of the season. Enjoy that for the next few days."
"Thank you, Jeff."
Jeff's gratitude dies when he sees the vulnerable. "After tonight, one of you will be the next member of our jury. Head back to camp, and I'll see you at Tribal Council. Good luck."
After his dismissal, the soon to be eight castaways take their focus back. The one with the confessional before the end of this portion, is the winner: Chun-Li.
Chun-Li: My gripes..have been answered. This is the first, of hopefully more immunities.
Evening 28
Chun-Li, Cyrax, Diana Prince, Gordon Ramsay, Little Mac, Princess Peach, Sektor, Slade Wilson, and T'Challa
The sun is getting a little low, not giving the cast much time to strategize. Even with Chun-Li's victory, the small talk is cut to a minimum when…to the surprise of nobody, Mac and Slade get in peoples ears.
"Wasting no time?" Li asks herself, hanging her necklace on the shelter.
Chun-Li: Some of us are hanging on for dear life. I've gotten a break, but Cyrax is vulnerable. Diana is vulnerable. Gordon's vulnerable if someone wants to make a big move. Not to mention that Mac's made himself an easier vote, and Slade's put himself in the crossfire too. There's too much to keep track of with this little time, but I at least know what I'm doing.
She, Cyrax, and Peach take a little swim in the ocean. They make sure to lower their voices though, since the sound travels much easier surrounded by the water. "Diana is open, so I have to vote for her. We should be doing that every time she loses a challenge." Li admits. "If we let her skip away for too long, she may just win the game."
"There's a lot going on tonight. At the very least we can keep this simple." Peach adds. "But what are we going to do about..Mac?"
Cyrax takes the time to chime in. "He is an option too. Eliminating him also disposes of someone Gordon and his alliance could potentially work with. That puts our alliances dead even. There is doubt someone will come along to complicate this."
"You just did." Li says.
"Speaking of complications.." Cyrax spots Slade coming towards them from the shore. He gestures at the cyborg to come over.
"Are you going?" Peach asks.
"Let me take care of this."
Cyrax swims over to shore, but as he does, Chun-Li receives even MORE confessional time.
Chun-Li: As much as I don't want to let Diana move past us, I will have to distance myself from this Mac drama. I know what Slade's going to tell him: "We are voting Mac, so you should too." Protecting Mac will make my alliance more suspicious of me. But Diana is a bigger problem, and NOT the problem I want as a shield. If she manages to get by, I'll put ALL my energy into making sure she loses these challenges. I'm no hater, I just want to win.
A few agendas are still alive and well, but Slade's busy sliding his in to Cyrax's programming. They may be sitting cordial in the cave together, but this conversation is anything but…especially after the blindside that just happened.
"We know I was in on the Sackboy blindside. I still don't want either of you gone." Slade admits. "That was game for last vote, I'm thinking of game for this one."
"I wish Sackboy was still here. I do. But this is a game in the end, and you did what you had to do." Cyrax says, trying not to feel that anger. That dangerous anger. "It does feel like we are prolonging the inevitable. I didn't win immunity, and with Sektor still here, the four of us may not have power to do much."
Slade lifts a finger. "I can find a loophole. It doesn't have to be 5-4."
"Tell me."
Slade holds up five fingers. "Our groups can vote for Mac at this Tribal. Not much of a shock, is it?"
"Not at all." Cyrax says, with a head tilt. That doubts already creeping in. "He is not the biggest problem for us. Chun-Li can't work with him now that her name is involved. Sektor still may not side with us. He refuses to do anything with me."
"Mac IS a problem now. He tried taking YOUR number one away. Not even Sektor wants to work with him after he drug me into the water." Slade counters, trying to reassure someone for once. "Everyone will hunt for Diana. She NEVER leaves the radar. Mac's a sneakier threat. Give him time and he'll be at the end with that check."
"..and Gordon struggles in challenges." Cyrax adds, strategizing with the villain. He still has his doubts about this plan though. "What does a Mac elimination do for us, that a Diana elimination can't do?"
Slade raises another finger. "If you and Diana are left open again, you can argue against her MUCH easier than Mac. You'll save yourself another round."
"…."
"At the end of this, I'm trying to buy you more time. If Diana goes this week, you will go next week. But if Mac leaves, you can save another two rounds by pinning the target on her." Slade says, not letting up on this Mac plan.
"So it works better for the long term.." Cyrax theorizes.
"Exactly." Slade smacks his legs and heads for the exit. "Mac's the best way we can go."
"Your reputation may not be the greatest, but if I want to survive, your plan may be the best way to go after all."
Cut to a Cyrax confessional inside the isolated cave, where he gives the viewers his real thoughts.
Cyrax: There is no master play for me to make, but the smartest one I CAN make is the "anyone but myself" strategy. Slade's idea is..very obvious. He's strong arming me to do what he wants. But I will only go with it because it saves me more time. If I wanted to state "Diana", he could decline and vote me out anyway. It's frustrating because my game is in the hands of the unpredictable. I could very well be leaving the game on Night 28.
Knowing he has a target on his back, Mac takes some action to at least TRY to save himself. Whereas Slade went to one face of an alliance, Mac tries to rekindle ANYTHING with other: Gordon Ramsay.
"Look man, i messed up pretty bad. But If you need to use me for anything, I'm here." Mac opens, trying to hit a strong note. All Gordon does is stare blankly at him, but a little smirk goes. It seems Ramsay's getting a little satisfaction from Mac crawling back to him.
"Don't like the hot seat?"
"I don't know what else I can say here. Look, Slade's out there scheming again, and we can't let him slide. Yeah, I got caught, but this is what he WANTS everyone to do." Mac pleads.
"Everyone has a plot. But since you're so eager: what do you think he's doing?" Gordon asks, deciding to cash in on information. Unfortunately for him, it's just more of the same.
"He doesn't want me having an idol. He wants me so defenseless that he just followed me around for a while." Mac explains. "With Diana, and Cyrax losing immunity, he's trying to tell me that I'M the problem? He's going REALLY hard for me."
"He's going hard for you because you said his name. But he's playing it weird." Gordon agrees. "Letting Cyrax get by is just so fucking weird."
"EXACTLY."
"If we have the votes, we can get Cyrax out." Gordon suggests, sticking to his guns. "But If I hear about you running to someone else, we are DONE. Last chance."
Mac is giddy at the time, but in the confessional, Gordon gets to say more about his place.
Gordon: If Mac thinks we'll be buddy-buddy again, he can wait until the seasons done. I KNOW that Cyrax is coming for me, but I didn't know Mac would go behind our backs like that. I'd love for Cyrax to leave, but if it lands on Mac: I won't really complain. You got yourself here. Live with it.
A core member of Gordon's alliance, in T'Challa, receives some updates from a core person in his own game. In Slade's mind, he's strong armed Cyrax's alliance to vote out Mac, and now he looks to pass the word on to his opposite ally.
"If we try to do anything to Cyrax, it won't work. They're thinking about a Mac vote."
T'Challa raises a brow. "With Diana open? Slade..you have completely destroyed his game."
"You're welcome."
The king shrugs the ordeal off. "We still need Diana for the next round. This is a good distraction. I can't believe I'm saying this to you again, but: thank you."
"Thank HIM for getting so sloppy."
"He was sloppy, but I can't say your move was clean either."
Slade laughs the criticism off. "You know how dirty I am."
T'Challa: The Slade investment only gets better. It is a shame I have to cut him by the end, but we can't share all the credit. There is only one king of Survivor, and it's going to be me.
T'Challa takes what Slade brought to him, and shares the information with Diana. She just pauses for a second. "Do I need to steal someone's vote?"
"No need. Cyrax and his team are writing Mac's name down."
She stays frozen. "Really? I have immunity and they AREN'T voting for me?"
"Someone got in their ear."
"Slade." Diana guesses. "He wants to wrap this little rivalry up."
"Gordon was right. Slade will be a problem later, but he is useful to us now. I don't like to talk about him like he's a robot, but I don't believe he cares." T'Challa admits. "Save your steal. I think it's better off saved for the vote after."
"But if Mac DOES have an idol..I could steal his." Diana speculates. "But then we couldn't use my weapon against Cyrax. I'll keep it in my pocket incase things go wrong."
"Cyrax will catch votes no matter what. Gordon said he would put one on him."
"That's reassuring."
In her confessional, Diana just looks perplexed about everything that's happened. Second Tribal in a row without the immunity necklace, and what feels like all the power in the world. Things are going great for her! Almost too great.
Diana: Is there..some divine intervention going on? Why am I about to survive this?
Tribal Council
Night 28
The castaways enter the Triba Council Area with their dull torches. Metal Sonic and Sackboy look on from the jury bench, only wishing they made it to this point. Well, at least for Metal. Sackboy looks content in his clean cloth.
"Yes! Li won!" Sack says in a whispered tone. Metal doesn't look amused by that.
"Favoritism."
"I like who I like."
Chun-Li smiles at her friend on the jury, dipping her torch into the fire like everyone else. Once they get seated, Jeff is at his usual spot, and there doesn't seem to be a special guest at all. "Fire represents your life. Once it's gone—"
"So are you." The cast repeats, in BORED unison.
"You've been listening." Jeff says, brushing off their attitudes. "But you all have plenty of listening to do, because our next Tribal Council is in session. You may have noticed: there are no special guests tonight. That's where you. Are. WRONG. Come on out!"
Everyone in the area can hear that bridge rock back and forth. A silhoutte can be seen, and Peach instantly recognizes the shape. "Oh dear..don't tell me HE'S entering mid season."
"One night only." The voice says, stepping into the area to reveal its SOLID SNAKE! Winner of the very first season, and making his first appearance in since the original aired. It's been a while, but Snake looks to be in better shape, with some longer hair to match.
"We couldn't exclude the original. Welcome back to Tribal." Jeff greets. Snake just takes a seat next to him.
"We should focus on the players THIS season, Jeff. I need some answers from a few of them." Snake suggests, blatantly glancing at his Maldives castmates. Jeff just nods and does as requested.
"Alright. Snake..take it away."
Snake sets his eyes on his first target: Princess Peach. "Peach."
"Hello, Snake."
"You three gave me a lot of trouble near the end of our runs. Were you able to repair your relationships? Even with those you weren't on good terms with?"
Peach sets a hand on her heart. "That's actually a really good question. I WAS able to repair some relationships. I even started new ones. In my eyes, Ripley redeemed herself during Kano's reign of terror on Hathuru. Seeing her humanity reminded me that she didn't see me as..well, nothing. And T'Challa! We aren't working together, but he seems genuinely remorseful for the move he made on me a couple years ago."
"Seems you're doing much better mentally."
"MUCH better. The constant fighting is irritating to hear, these conditions are poor enough for us as is, but..it's been a smoother ride." Peach admits.
"Since you mentioned him…" Snake focuses on T'Challa next.
"Hello again, Snake."
"YOU had a big reputation back in the day. Has anyone applied their pressure on you?"
"Every day I feel the pressure. I have people to protect. Every challenge loss puts us at risk of going home." T'Challa answers. "I have been lucky enough to survive, but I can't say the same for others that like to cause drama."
Snake looks at Slade, immediately. "It's you, isn't it?"
"It's not drama. I'm just firing a counterattack on a boxer."
Everyone turns to Mac, who adjusts his top. "Here we go." He whispers.
"What did you do?" Snake asks.
"Ok, let me take you back. I talked to Chun-Li about how Slade, is making me nervous in the game. He decides to spin it into 'OH, Mac betrayed everyone'." Mac explains. "Which, is funny coming from Deathstroke, you know, the guy who has literally betrayed people more than me."
"If we're going off that, you're an innocent dove." Slade says, practically laughing off his point. "Here's a fact of life for you Mac: just because someone does worse than you, doesn't make you good. That's not how it works."
"Ok? It's crazy how ANYONE believes anything that comes out of your mouth. You have proven again, and again, that you can't be trusted." Mac rants. "I'm going insane trying to freakin'..put it all together. Does everyone have amnesia?"
Slade shakes his head. "I've been telling truths for a majority of my time—"
"Ha!"
"Don't laugh now. I've cut down on my lying. Not a hundred percent, because everyone has, or will lie to someone someday." Some will call it an uncomfortable truth from Wilson. "One thing I can't lie about is that this was ABSOLUTELY targeted at you."
"Yeah, and look where it's getting us."
"This is why I did it." Slade going full unapologetic for a second. "Since YOU put me up for elimination, I destroyed your game. Yes, it's evil, and yes, it's warranted. I'm allowed to defend in any way I know how."
Mac let's a breath escape him. "I can do this all night."
"Me too."
Snake gets a couple hands up. "If you both manage to survive, talk it out at camp. I have more questions." He sets his sights on Diana. "Surprised you don't have the necklace. You have a great track record."
"I can't hold immunity forever. Even if I want to." Diana responds, tracing a finger over her neck..where a necklace could have been. "The most consistent competitor are falling early in challenges. This cast, may be one of the strongest ones ever built when it comes to immunities. Everyone has a skill, whether it's power, speed, puzzles, and even aim. There's a lot of all rounders."
Snake gives a little 'Hmm.' "Do you think immunities alone win you the game? Or is it the story that matters?"
"It definitely depends on the story. If you win challenges, but just stick to the majority, it won't really wow a jury. A jury who will judge harshly, like us, will want more than a physical stat. Everyone will have to step up, even the challenge threats." Diana explains, acknowledging a potential hole in even her own game.
"I would like to add, if you don't mind." T'Challa chiming in.
"Go ahead."
"Immunities alone can't win you the game, but if a jury believes you are an underdog, constantly escaping death like someone on the jury.." He points out Metal. "Then they may be lenient. Sometimes all you can really do is win out, because the second you lose, some at camp won't even consider working with you. It's a harsh reality for challenge threats."
Snake nods, agreeing with his man from Mara. "It's happened to so many on this cast. You can worry about that on finale night. I've asked everything i needed to. Back to you, Probst."
Jeff smacks his hands on his cargo shorts. "I've got a clearer picture of what's going on tonight. But unfortunately for one of you, that picture will not be what you want. It is time to vote, Mac you're up first."
Mac heads to the voting booth, and definitely has a name to write down.
Little Mac: If you don't go home tonight, this is the fumble of the season. You're obvious. (Slade)
Slade: You put the "little" in "Little Mac." You can't take my knockout blow. Look at the lights. (Mac)
After voting, the cast return to their seats. A few names are getting tossed out as per usual, but somebody has to bite the dust. Jeff smacks a hand on the podium. "I'll go tally the votes.." he says, leaving to fetch the urn again, like he has for the past decades. It's a neverending loop, but Jeff never usually gets bored so he makes it work.
He's back with that urn. "If anyone has a hidden immunity idol OR advantage that they want to play, now would be the time to do so." Diana digs in her pocket after the warning..but retracts her hand. She'll save it for another day.
.
.
No more objections, so Jeff moves on.
"I'll read the votes."
Here goes…
"Mac."
.
.
"Diana"
.
.
"Cyrax."
.
.
"Diana."
.
.
"Cyrax."
.
.
"Mac. That's two votes Diana, two votes Cyrax, two votes Mac. THREE votes left.."
.
.
"Slade."
The man in question just glances at his enemy. "Know where THAT came from."
"You weren't getting a perfect game." Mac responds.
.
.
"Mac."
.
.
"Mac."
Mac adjusts his shorts. "It's over."
.
.
"The twelfth person voted out of Second Chance, and the third member of our jury: Little Mac. Bring me your torch."
Mac skips past everyone, wasting no time on his walk. "Bad move guys."
They choose to stay quiet, as Jeff raises his snuffer. "Mac..the tribe has spoken."
SNUFF…
"Time for you to go."
Mac leaves the Tribal area unceremoniously. He used to be in a solid, invisible spot. He could have even made some moves later, but his game got blown to pieces, courtesy of Deathstroke. Once Mac's out of view, Jeff turns back to the castaways, so he can deliver some final words of wisdom before the next round.
"That shows that your games can go up in smoke in seconds. You can do what you THINK is right, but get caught at the wrong time. You may be returnees, but you can still make rookie mistakes. Head back to camp, good night."
The final eight makes their exit. Slade is at the front, but Sektor rushes to his side. "What's next for us?"
"Follow my lead."
"Follow mine."
Slade stays quiet after Sektor's comment, maybe willing to fold this time. Nonetheless, there's one less Little Mac around camp now, and the players have to push their plans through once again. Only one person can be the first person to play twice AND win. With eleven days left, one will solidify their path to victory.
With the castaways gone, Jeff and Snake have a little one-on-one. "Thank you for coming out, Snake. One day you could be back in those seats."
"Get more winners, and I'll give this another try."
Jeff assures him that they will, and with that: Snake makes his exit too. Speaking of people making exits….
Little Mac's Final Words
Little Mac: Luck got me last time, but um..damn.
He lightly chuckles, trying to keep the salt in.
Little Mac: This will hurt to watch when I get back home.

What can be said about Mac's time that hasn't been said already? He came in trying to play quiet, and got wrecked. Tale as old as time. Mac at least finishes one placement ahead from Fiji, it's just not in the way he expected.
With that being said, it's time to reveal the third cast member of Season Six. Walter White and The Rock are two male reps, but it's time for some women to be revealed. The first woman is Black Widow, real name Natasha Romanoff, is the next cast member! How will she blend with the crowd? Find out whenever that season comes out. Plus, stick around for the next chapter, where #4 will be revealed.
The next episode may be shorter than usual, after these past few longer episodes. We are. A couple episodes away from the grand finale, and someone will etch their names in series history. This is Ticket signing out, have a good night :)
