P.V. Normal several minutes later in the alpha leader's cave

Garth: "What happened?" I asked them seriously; we came as quickly as possible when we found out that they had returned

Humphrey: "Something attacked Scoot and he said it was very serious, luckily I managed to heal him enough so that his life was not in danger, but it would take him a long time to recover" I explained

Lilly: "What could have attacked Scoot to leave him hurt like this?" I asked

Luz: "We have no idea, we did not find any trace or clue that led us to the culprit, the only thing we know is that he is someone powerful if he could reach the first valley" I said seriously

Garth: "A new enemy?" I asked

Luz: "We don't know for sure, there is always the possibility that it is one of the dangers that we are aware of" I said

Humphrey; "If the guardian of hell managed to escape from hell, he would undoubtedly have the ability to reach the first valley" I said

Luz: "Just like the strange wolf that attacked us, there are connections with the mortal world that he could take advantage of and we already know that he is very good at hiding his tracks," I said

Lilly: "But they are just assumptions, as valid as if someone with those abilities had appeared" I said thoughtfully

Humphrey: "Exactly," I said, nodding

Garth: "I think we should go on the offensive," I said seriously

Humphrey: "You mean we attack first?" I asked surprised

Garth: "We can't do anything with the guardian of hell, we don't have any information about him, but we know about that mysterious pack that has enslaved hundreds of wolves and it is possible that they have something to do with that wolf that attacked them" I said seriously

Humphrey: "It's quite risky, who knows what things are waiting for us there" I said with doubts

Garth: "It is true that the information we have about that place is limited, but they are not planning anything good and I am not going to wait for them to attack us" I said seriously

Luz: "You have a point," I said thoughtfully

Humphrey: "Still, although a surprise attack gives us the advantage, fighting in unknown territory is going to be an even worse disadvantage, we don't know how they could flank us" I said with doubt

Garth: "But it's better than sitting and waiting for them to be ready and attack us with who knows what," I said seriously

Lilly: "I know this is not an easy decision and we are only giving our points of view, but in the end, you have the last word" I said

Luz: "It's true, you are responsible for the security of the pack externally, so you are the one who must decide what will be done" I said, nodding

Humphrey: "I know that, but I never thought I would have to invade another pack," I said with a sigh

Garth: "I know it's not an easy decision and you shouldn't make it right now, but it's better that you think about it well to make that decision soon" I said

Humphrey: "Yes I know," I said with a sigh

Lilly: "By the way, do you feel better now sister?" I asked

Luz: "Yes, I'm better now," I said quickly when I realized he was talking to me. Throughout the conversation, Humphrey didn't mention what had happened to Kate, so I assume he wants to keep it a secret

Humphrey: "Let's meet again tonight, there we will make decisions on how to proceed" I said

Garth: "Okay, see you tonight," I said, nodding

Humphrey: "See you, we'll go look for our puppies," I said goodbye before leaving with Luz

Luz: While we were walking, I approached him and said "I know you don't like the idea of a war, much less if you declare it, but we can't keep waiting for them to attack us and just defend ourselves, eventually they will take us off guard"

Humphrey: "I didn't expect you to take sides in a mortal conflict," I said

Luz: "I wouldn't do it if it were any conflict, but this has the potential to affect the balance of the world, the mere fact that they created someone capable of fighting you is a clear alert of the true danger they represent" I said seriously

Humphrey: "I understand, I guess there is no other way, we will have to end this in the bud" I said, still with some concern

Luz: "That's what we have to do," I said, nodding

Humphrey: "I wish Kate were here, her point of view on this topic is very important," I said with a sigh

Luz: "She will be back soon" I said trying to comfort him

Humphrey: "I know, now let's go look for my puppies" I said

Luz: "Okay," I said, nodding

Humphrey: "For the moment let's avoid telling them what happened with Kate, I don't want to worry them, and I don't know if they can keep the secret" I said

Luz: "It's okay, it's your decision" I said

Humphrey: after searching for a few minutes, we had finally reunited all my puppies

Silver: "How did you go?" I asked

Humphrey: "I'd say fine," I said

Nova: "What happened? The only thing our uncles told us was that something had happened with Uncle Scoot" I asked

Humphrey: "To summarize, your uncle was hurt and we went to try to heal him," I explained

Tristan: "Oh no, is he going to be, okay?" I asked worried

Humphrey: "It will take a while to be 100 percent, but he will recover," I explained

Tristan: "That's good," I said with relief

Nova: "How did my uncle get hurt? I thought he couldn't get hurt" I asked them strangely

Luz: "He is not invincible, he can be hurt like any other wolf, the only thing is that he is much more resistant than an average wolf," I explained

Humphrey: "And we're not sure how he got hurt, we'll have to wait for him to wake up so he can tell us," I added

Nova: "I see," I said, nodding

Humphrey: At that moment I noticed that Esperanza was somewhat distant, "Are you okay, daughter?" I asked

Esperanza: "Y-yes, n-it's nothing" I said quickly while trying to hide my fear

Humphrey; "Are you sure?" I asked, not very convinced by her answer

Esperanza: "Yes, I'm sure," I said quickly while nodding

Humphrey: "Ok," I said, not totally convinced, but I didn't want to pressure her

Luz: "That's all we wanted to tell you," I said

Humphrey: "You can go back to your friends, but come back to the cave early today" I said

Nova: "Okay," I said, nodding

Esperanza: "ok" and I left quickly

Humphrey: We all saw how Esperanza behaved a little strangely, so I approached Estrella and I said, "Talk to your sister, it is possible that she will tell you what is happening to her"

Estrella: "That's what I was thinking of doing," I said, nodding

Humphrey: "Thank you, daughter," I said

Estrella: I smiled and then ran after my sister, when I managed to reach her, I asked, "Is everything okay?"

Esperanza: I looked around and quickly gestured for her to follow me

Estrella: I looked at her confused, but I listened to her and began to follow her until we reached a place quite far from the rest of where we were, "What is happening sister?" I asked confused and a little worried

Esperanza: As soon as I was sure we were out of earshot of our parents, I asked, "Didn't you notice anything strange about Mom?"

Estrella: I shook my head and said, "No, why do you ask?"

Esperanza: "Are you completely sure? Think about it carefully," I said seriously

Estrella: I thought for a moment and responded, "Apart from the fact that she was quieter than normal, I didn't notice anything strange about her," then I asked worriedly, "What's wrong with you, sister?"

Esperanza: "I don't know how to explain it, but that wasn't mom," I said, scared

Estrella: "How so? I don't understand you," I said, very confused

Esperanza: "That wasn't mom, it's something that pretends to be her" I tried to explain

Star: "Don't worry, sister, if something like that happened, dad would be the first to notice," I said, trying to calm her down

Esperanza: "That's why I was so scared, if dad didn't realize it, it could be extremely dangerous" I said scared

Estrella: "Are you sure you didn't imagine it?" I asked

Esperanza: "I know I can't explain how I know, but I'm sure of that, I'm not crazy," I said seriously

Estrella: "Don't worry, I didn't say you were crazy," I said quickly

Esperanza: "But you thought about it," I said, annoyed

Estrella: I laughed nervously

Esperanza: when I saw that reaction I couldn't contain myself and I started to cry, "You're very bad"

Estrella: "Sister, calm down," I said quickly when I saw that she started to cry, "It's just hard to believe"

Esperanza: "But they have already told us stories about a wolf that took the appearance of mom, because you can't believe me," I said between tears

Estrella: "That's not what's hard to believe, it's hard to believe that dad wouldn't have noticed" I tried to explain

Esperanza: "But I'm sure of what I saw," I said, still crying

Estrella: "It's okay sister, I believe you, calm down" I said quickly

Esperanza: "You're just saying it to say it," I said, crying harder

Estrella: I flattened my ears against my head because of my sister's loud crying, "Please calm down and if we look for dad to tell him," I said

Esperanza: "But I don't want to get close to the fake mother," I said, scared

Estrella: "Okay, I'll go get dad, you wait for me here" I said

Esperanza: "But don't leave me alone," I said, scared

Estrella: I sighed and I said, "You're not making it easy for me, sister," but when I looked at her closely, I could see that her eyes reflected a lot of fear, "Well, let's look for one of our brothers to accompany you while I go get dad." I said

Esperanza: "That sounds good to me, thank you sister," I said a little calmer

Estrella: "Let's go look for them," I said while gesturing for her to follow me

Esperanza: I nodded and started to follow her

A few hours later in Doc's pack a wolf was running up to Doc's cave

"Sir, I have information about the spy," said the wolf from outside the cave

Doc: I came out immediately and said, "Tell me"

"News came from the spy, Humphrey and Kate returned" I informed

Doc: "What happened to Scott and Everyone?" asked

"He saw Toocs but left immediately, there are still no confirmed sightings of Scoot," the wolf reported

Doc: "Most likely he is taking care of something else, it is our best chance, tell everyone that we will begin the attack tonight" I told him seriously

"Right away, sir," said the wolf, nodding before leaving

"Looks like you're making decisions behind our backs again," said a voice from behind Doc

Doc: I was surprised to hear someone behind me, when I turned around, I could see a pair of red eyes looking at me from the shadows, "I'm sorry, gentlemen, it's something we should take advantage of immediately and without wasting time," I said quickly

"You are lucky that we agree with your reasoning, it is an opportunity that we must take advantage of, we would like to have the definitive being to put an end to Humphrey once and for all, but since we will not be able to obtain something better in the short term, we must take advantage of every opportunity to finish him" one of the shadows said seriously

Doc: I sighed with relief when I heard him say that, "Then we will continue with the plan of attack" I said

"Not so fast, you will not be in charge of this operation" said the second shadow

Doc: "Why not?" I asked them annoyed

"Your judgment is clouded, you will do everything possible to obtain Humphrey, but our objective is to kill him, recovering his body in good condition is only a plus," the shadow explained

Doc: "Just imagine what we can achieve if we get it, you can't deny me this opportunity" I said annoyed

"With what we already have we can achieve our objective; we just have to eliminate the only real threat" the first shadow said seriously

Doc: "So who are you going to put in charge of this invasion?" I asked

"Arturo will take care of it" the first shadow said

Doc: "That idiot, he's all muscle, but no brains, he's never gotten any specimen in good condition," I said annoyed

"He is a good strategist in fights, he clearly knows what objectives we have and he will do everything possible to achieve them" the second shadow said

"Besides, it is our decision, you should not defy it" the second shadow said seriously

Doc: "Okay," I said with a sigh, "Then I'll stay and prepare the lab to examine what's left of Humphrey," I said

"Well then we will inform Arthur of our decision" the shadows said before disappearing

Doc: "They are lucky that I still need the resources that they can provide me" I thought annoyed as I entered the cave

Shortly after, the main members of the attack were summoned to a cave by Arthur

Arturo: "I called you to this meeting to discuss the attack plan that we will carry out in a few hours" I said seriously

"Why is Doc's science project here?" a white cheetah asked dismissively

Lind: I just looked at him annoyed

Arturo: "He is a valuable asset and he will be in charge of directing the rest of the experiments during the attack or do you have any objections to my decision?" I said seriously

"Not at all, I just wanted to make my discomfort known" the cheetah said while looking at the ground

Lind: She couldn't help but smile seeing him like that, Arturo is one of the few I respect in this place, he doesn't care who he is or where he comes from if he has potential and ability, he won't hesitate to take advantage of it in the best way

Arturo: "Well, the attack plan is as follows" I said and began to explain in detail how we would attack, when I finished, I said, "Go with your equipment and prepare it, we will leave in two hours"

Everyone nodded and left
