Estrella: I walked with my sister until we met Tristan and Silver, "Hello brothers" I greeted them as we approached
Silver: "Hello sisters, what are you doing?" I asked
Estrella: "We were looking for you" I said
Tristan: "Why?" I asked curiously
Estrella: "Could you accompany Esperanza while I look for dad?" I asked
Silver: "Sure, we were going to the countryside to play with the other puppies, but what's wrong with her?" I asked
Estrella: I approached them and whispered, "I'm not sure, but she's really scared. She wants to talk to Dad alone, but she doesn't want to be alone while I look for him"
Silver: "I see" I said nodding, then I approached Esperanza and said confidently "Don't worry sister, we won't let anything happen to you"
Esperanza: "Thank you brothers" I said gratefully
Estrella: "I'll be right back and don't ask her what's wrong, I could barely calm her down when I did it" I said
Silver: "I understand" I said nodding
Star: I nodded and went looking for dad, luckily, they were still where we had met
Humphrey: I was talking to Luz about the possible strategy we would use to attack the enemy pack
Luz: "Do you want to enter enemy territory alone?" I asked surprised
Humphrey: "I want to do a general reconnaissance of the area and thus have more information to attack effectively" I explained
Luz: "It's something quite risky, you would be a very easy target" I said seriously
Humphrey: "I know, but we don't have many options if we want to get information, it has been impossible for our spies to infiltrate that place, it has already been attempted several times and we have already lost several wolves, they always discover them as soon as they enter that territory" I explained
Luz: "I wonder how they do that; it is almost impossible to have all the borders guarded" I said thoughtfully
Humphrey: "That's a good question and it's part of what I'd like to find out," I said
Luz: "The risk is quite high, but the reward is also quite high, and they won't expect you to go in person to spy on them," I said thoughtfully
Humphrey: "I know, I have to take advantage of that factor" I said, at that moment I noticed that Estrella was approaching, "What's wrong daughter?" I asked when she was close enough
Estrella: "I talked to my sister; I already understand what is happening to her" I said
Humphrey: "What can I tell you?" I asked curiously
Estrella: I was going to tell her everything she told me, but at that moment I started to have doubts and decided not to take any risks. "It's better if she tells you," I said quickly
Humphrey: "Now she wants to talk about it?" I asked, surprised
Estrella: "But she only wants to tell you, she is embarrassed to tell mom" I explained
Humphrey: "I see, well we still have a little time, Kate will be right back" I said
Luz: I nodded and said, "Okay, I'll wait for you here"
Estrella: I found my mother's attitude strange, I thought she would be more interested in the subject or would insist more on knowing because I said that my sister was embarrassed to tell her, "Maybe my sister is not hallucinating after all" I thought somewhat worried
Humphrey: "I'm following you, daughter," I said
Estrella: I nodded and started running towards where I had left my sister, after several minutes we arrived at the place and saw how my brothers were waiting for us
Humphrey: "How are you doing daughter, your sister told me that you wanted to talk to me?" I said
Esperanza: "That's right, dad," I said, still a little nervous
Estrella: "How did she behave while I was gone?" I asked to my brothers
Tristan: "very quiet, she hardly responded to any topic of conversation and she looked anxious" I explained
Estrella: "I see, I'm not surprised, this issue did affect her" I said
Tristan: "Later tell us what happened," I said
Estrella: "You better pay attention to what she will say to dad" I said

Humphrey: "I'm listening," I said calmly

Humphrey: I was surprised by her perception, it could even be greater than mine, I quickly started to say to her, "daughter" but I was interrupted by her
Esperanza: "Please believe me, I know it's hard, but I'm really sorry" I begged, very worried and scared
Humphrey: I was surprised by her reaction, she was really scared by that and I couldn't blame her, "I better tell her, otherwise it could leave her with serious emotional scars" I thought worriedly, then I said with a sigh, "You're partially right"
Esperanza: "What do you mean?" I asked confused
Humphrey: "Indeed, that is your mother's body, but due to certain events her spirit is busy fighting inside her, so Luz is controlling her body while she manages to return" I explained
Esperanza: "I don't understand, what happened to mom?" I asked worriedly
Humphrey: "I will tell you more calmly tonight, but don't worry, she will come back" I said trying to calm her down
Esperanza: I breathed a sigh of relief knowing I wasn't going crazy, but then another question came to mind, "Why didn't you tell us right now?" I asked
Humphrey: "I wanted to keep it a secret, so as not to upset you or the pack, not to mention that it is something that our enemies could take advantage of, that is why you must keep it a secret" I said seriously
The four puppies nodded
Humphrey: "Well, we'll talk more calmly about this tonight, but don't worry, daughter, there's nothing to worry about," I said, smiling
Esperanza: "It's okay dad" I said nodding
At that moment several howls were heard from the western border
Silver: "What's going on?" I asked confused
Humphrey: "Go to the cave immediately" I said seriously
Silver: "But what is happening?" I asked confused
Humphrey: "Problems, now obey me and go to the cave" I said seriously before running off towards the border
Estrella: "It is better to listen to dad, it is not common to see him so serious" I said somewhat worried and scared
Tristan: "Okay, let's go" I said nodding
Silver: "What about our brothers?" I asked
Estrella: "They are probably going to the cave too," I said
Silver: "Ok" I said something unsure
Meanwhile with Humphrey
It took Humphrey a few minutes to reach where the howls originated and he asked the alphas in the sector, "What's going on?"
"We have multiple alerts of a large number of beings moving towards here" reported an alpha
Humphrey: "Beings, what kind of beings?" I asked confused
"The reports are not very clear, they say that they are a great variety of animals, from pumas, tigers, bears to other beings that they could not identify" explained the alpha
Humphrey: I thought for a second and remembered that Hutch had reported that the mysterious pack was made up of many different species, "So they started their move" I thought, then I said seriously, "Put all alphas on alert", then I launched a high priority howl for all alphas to gather immediately and without exception
After a few minutes the level two alphas had already met with Humphrey
Dilan: "How will we proceed?" I asked
Humphrey: "We must prioritize the safety of the pack, I want Andrea and Sam to be in charge of organizing the groups of alphas dedicated to protecting the omegas, puppies and elders, the others must group together with their respective groups to coordinate the defense, this is our territory and we must use it to our advantage" I explained
"Yes sir" the alphas said as they nodded
Humphrey: "I will go to the front and take care of the strongest ones" I said
All the alphas looked at each other with concern
Humphrey: "What's wrong?" I asked
Andrea: "I know you are very strong cousin, but you are the leader, we can't let you risk yourself like that" I explained
Humphrey: "That is why I must go to the front, to guide everyone and use my strength so that the pack overcomes this crisis" I said
Andrea: "That's the reason, if we were to lose you, the pack would be in serious trouble" I said
Humphrey: "Don't worry, I won't fall easily," I said confidently
Andrea: "You are the leader and we will follow your orders, but be careful" I said worriedly
Humphrey: "Don't worry, I'll get it," I said, nodding, "Now everyone can leave, except you Andrea, there's one more thing I want to talk to you about," I said
All the level two alphas nodded and retreated except for Andrea
Andrea: "What do you need?" I asked
Humphrey: "Please protect my puppies and Kate" I asked
Andrea: "Of course I will, but to be honest Kate is very capable, she is stronger than me, there won't be much I can do" I said
Humphrey: "Under normal conditions it would be like this, but now it is complicated, it is not at its best" I explained
Andrea: "What's wrong?" I asked worriedly
Humphrey: "You will surely understand when you see her, but I don't want you to get all worked up and let her explain it to you," I said
Andrea: "Ok, but why don't you explain it to me?" I asked
Humphrey: "I don't have time, I have to finish organizing the defense, not to mention that Garth will arrive at any moment and I have to bring him up to date" I explained
Andrea: "I understand, in that case I won't take up any more of your time" I said, nodding
Humphrey: "Be careful" I said
Andrea: "Same as you" I said before leaving
A few minutes later Garth arrived with Lilly
Garth: "What's going on?" I asked
Humphrey: "They are attacking us, according to reports they will arrive in less than an hour" I said seriously
Lilly: "Who?" I asked
Humphrey: "We can't be sure, but it seems to be the mysterious pack," I said
Garth: "I wanted to avoid this, but it seems they got ahead of us" I said annoyed
Humphrey: "It seems so, and it is too convenient for them to attack now" I said
Lilly: "Do you think they have spies in the pack?" I asked, surprised by that insinuation
Humphrey: "I'm not 100 percent sure, but it's a high probability," I said
Lilly: I thought for a moment and said, "You're right, we've received many wolves because of that pack, it's possible that several spies have entered"
Garth: "So what's the plan?" I asked
Humphrey: "I have already organized the level two alphas and they are organizing the other alphas, meanwhile Lilly must go to where we gathered the omegas to guide them and give us logistical support, while Garth will help me in the defense and organization of the missing alphas" I said
Lilly: "Understood" I said nodding
Humphrey: "One more thing, both of you try to identify possible spies, it is something we must deal with as soon as possible" I said
The two nodded and Lilly left while Garth stayed with Humphrey
Garth: "By the way, where is Kate?" I asked
Humphrey: "That's a good question, he should be here already," I said thoughtfully, at that moment I realized something, "Garth, finish the last preparations, I'll be back soon, I won't be long," I said quickly before running away
Garth: I could barely react when he was already gone, "I hope everything is okay" I thought worriedly before focusing on finishing the last preparations
Humphrey: I ran as fast as I could to the place where I had left Kate and as I expected she was still there waiting, "You sure took waiting for me here seriously" I said
Luz: "I was going to wait for you just a few more minutes before going to look for you," I said, somewhat annoyed, "By the way, what's going on?" I asked
Humphrey: "They are attacking us, that is why you must go to the cave of the alpha leaders and stay with Lilly and the others, in the worst case you will have to escape from here" I said seriously
Luz: "Do you think we will have to go to that extreme?" I asked worriedly
Humphrey: "I hope not, but I have a bad feeling, that's why your priority should be to protect Kate and my puppies" I said seriously
Luz: "Okay, I understand," I said, nodding
Humphrey: "By the way, when you see my cousin, explain to her what is happening, she is the only one who will surely notice when she sees you" I said
Luz: "If you say so, I will do it" I said nodding
Humphrey: "Thank you" I said gratefully and returned to where the alphas were preparing
