This is the new version of the original timeline.

Author's Note: Massive. Changes. Be prepared for a bloody timeline.

Notes:

1. In this alternate timeline, Heinz Guderian is a staunch monarchist and an opponent of both Nazism and Communism. He is part of the July 20 Plot but was never found guilty, it is probable because of his association with the armor troops. After the "death" of his fellow colleague, Erwin Rommel, he planned a second coup both as personal revenge and to end the war.

2. Several IRL military units were not disbanded nor deactivated, such as the American 2nd Armored Division.

3. Not all IRL events are changed. Some were omitted because of that, some were not, and some were removed but I didn't have to mention it.

XXXX

Early 1945 - With war in Europe in it's final months, the Allies and the USSR raced to capture Berlin, the heart of the now dying and crumbling Nazi Germany. Then Lieutenant General John Matthew Davis, without informing the British and as a direct order from President Roosevelt, has been granted permission by the Supreme Commander of the Allied Expeditionary Forces in Europe, Dwight Eisenhower and with support from General George Patton, he spearheaded an American only advance on the French-German border and broke through the German lines. The operation sparked controversy on whether the operation is an indirect response from the US to the British and Soviet Percentage Agreement or just an attempt to showoff American military power.

As soon as they got deeper into Germany, they encountered and met with a small force of defecting Germans led by Generaloberst Heinz Guderian, who went AWOL from his headquarters at the Eastern Front. The Americans found out that several officers and soldiers in the Wehrmacht had enough of the ongoing unwinnable war, so they decided to defect to the Western Allies to save the German people from the onslaught of the advancing Soviets and to remove the Nazis from power. After contacting his superiors, Davis agreed to Heinz' request to assist in capturing Berlin on the condition that all Germans who defected will surrender themselves and their weapons after the war and that they would not be turned over to the Soviets.

After days then weeks of house to house fighting and searching the entire city, Davis and some troops from 2nd Armored Division found and captured the Fuhrer; Adolf Hitler, along with few remaining Waffen SS soldiers and what remained of his staff in the Fuhrerbunker. This news made the British and the Soviets infuriated but still happy that the war in Europe is over. And later in Nuremberg Trials, Hitler is sentenced to death by firing squad. But before the execution could take place, Heinz beat him up with a baton stolen from a British MP out of fierce rage, blaming the dictator of humiliating Germany even worse than years before and wasting millions of lives of Germany's soldiers on such a horrible war, until Davis intervened and gave the Fuhrer a "coup de grâce" with a single shot from his handgun.

Days later, a squad under Davis' command discovered a secret storage bunker near the Fuhrerbunker which was hiding all the blueprints of German weaponry, both used and unused, from tanks to Wunderwaffe. Davis ordered that the blueprints were to be given to him and told the said squad not to tell anybody about the said blueprints. After the fast capture of Berlin, Davis was given a few months of rest and sent back home.

Davis' brother, Johnny Davis (middle name is also classified), a scientist who participated in the Manhattan Project which created the first nuclear weapon, wrote a letter to him saying that the United States has developed a new weapon to be dropped in Japanese cities to force Japan to an unconditional surrender, and told him that it was the atomic bomb. Not really caring about the bombs dropping on Japan, Davis wrote back that he has all the blueprints of German weapons and that he hid them away in his private home in the US.

US bombed two Japanese cities, Hiroshima and Nagasaki, with two atomic bombs and at the same time, the Soviets invaded Manchuria, forcing Japan to surrender. Davis is promoted to four star general after the war. He also a founded the League of Patriotic Military Officers or the LPMO, a secret military group surrounding Davis and his ideals on the conduct of war, a new kind of military doctrine as well as his idea of a completely autonomous military, free from any political interference.

Late 1940s - Davis is chosen as the head commander of all Allied (then later NATO) forces in allied-occupied Germany, which in the next months would become the Federal Republic of Germany.

The Soviets proclaimed the creation of East Germany in their zone of occupation, the German Democratic Republic in response.

1950 - North Korea invades it's southern neighbour, South Korea, beginning the Korean War. Davis and a battalion of the 2nd Armored Division is sent as part of the UN peacekeeping force.

Mid 1953 - Davis is sent back to Germany as the war comes to a stalemate.

1959 - Vietnam War begins. US starts aiding South Vietnam with aid, military equipment and sending advisers despite South Vietnam's internal instability and it's military's corruption and incompetence in its hierarchy.

1960s - Dr. Johnny discovered a cave with mysterious crystals, which can be easily melted to liquid, in Switzerland which he named Switzium, named after the nation from where it is discovered. And from what he noticed in his research is that the meltable crystals can be used as energy-like ammunition for various weapons. He also noticed strange characteristics the crystal had. The existence of the crystals and of Serum #13, is not revealed to the public until the early 2000s.

Sept. 1963 - Davis took part in his brother's Lacrima Experiment. Dr. Johnny also used this opportunity to inject Serum #13 into his older brother. The experiment, was a great success, it gave Davis three magics but it is also a near failure as Davis suffered from a month long coma. The serum made him slightly younger. It also made him semi-immortal, as it made his ageing dramatically slow and made his body and especially his immune system preposterously strong (making him absolutely immune to any lung disease so he can safely chain smoke). Only a few people knew about the experiment.

Dr. Johnny also injected the serum to Davis' friend and right hand man, Heinz Guderian (though reluctantly), who was surprisingly still alive at this time.

Nov. 1963 - General Davis, though reluctant, accepted the offer of US President John F. Kennedy to join him on his political trip to Texas to smooth over frictions in the Democratic Party on the condition that an army platoon is enlisted as part of the security force for the motorcade. Kennedy agreed.

As the presidential motorcade passes the Texas School Book Depository, Lee Harvey Oswald, an anarchist with pro-Marxist sympathies with connections to the anarchist terrorist organization called Globex, fired a shot at the president's neck but missed and instead shot the driver. He then fired the second shot, which successfully hit JFK at the head. As people nearby started to panic and Secret Service agents and US soldiers alerted, he fired the last shot at Davis just as he checked the president's status. The bullet hits Davis' on the back, but only wounding him. Oswald tries to get another shot but the agents and the several troops from 2nd Armored Division who were assigned as bodyguards for the motorcade opened fired, forcing him to flee only to be caught by several nearby police officers and civilian bystanders. Lyndon B. Johnson later sworn in as the new president. Oswald pleaded guilty, sentenced to death via firing squad, and executed.

Late 1963 - The US joins the Vietnam War as a small group of Viet Cong torpedo boats attacks USS America in the Golf of Tonkin. Davis is sent to South Vietnam. He was given command of all American special forces, especially the Green Berets. This however, was seen as an insult to the war hero. But Davis and his secret military movement, the League of Patriotic Military Officers or LPMO, knew that this is attempt to weaken Davis' control and influence in the American armed forces.

1969 - After six years of bloody combat and becoming weary of the war, Davis went AWOL and returned to the US to stage a coup. He's supported by the LPMO along with several other supporters in the military from all branches. After days of secret meetings, he managed to get the support from most of the military. And on Armed Forces Day in May, they protested against the war from all over the US and started a coup. In just a few weeks, the military managed to occupy most main cities and government buildings such as the White House where the president is held hostage. Davis demanded the withdrawal of all military forces in South Vietnam, full autonomy of the military as well as a say and the right to interfere in the internal affairs of the country. After hours of negotiations and a threat of formation of a military junta from Davis himself, the president reluctantly agreed to the demands and the Congress votes to withdraw US forces from Vietnam. The US military is given full autonomy on how to operate and control of it's forces under Davis' command. The Joint Chiefs of Staff body is disbanded but there is still one person who advises the US government on military matters. After the dust have settled, it's very clear that Davis now has full control of the US military.

1970 - US withdraws from South Vietnam, leaving the latter to fight the communist North and the Vietcong by themselves (Five years earlier than in our timeline/TL), which would then surrender in just a few weeks. Davis began the reorganization of the US armed forces.

Jan. 1978-Feb. 1979 - Iranian Revolution. Shah and his supporters in the military escaped with American help.

Nov. 1979 - Iranian students took over the US embassy in Tehran and held American diplomats and civilians hostage, triggering the Iran Hostage Crisis.

Dec. 1979 - Soviet troops enter Afghanistan, which would later culminated in the Soviet-Afghan war. Davis refused to give high-tech weapons, specifically Stinger MANPADS, to the mujahideen to be used against Soviet aircraft.

1980s - Under Pres. Ronald Reagan's administration, the US military with the help of the United Defense (which at this point, united all American weapons manufacturing companies) as well as funding from the government, secretly began the Strategic Defense Initiative program, later known as Star Wars. The program aimed at the creation of an energy weapon that can destroy ballistic nuclear weapons, both from space and from earth. It'll be later be publicize as propaganda as the people believed it is impossible and absolutely expensive. Although this made the Soviets weary and poured more money into their military spending, stagnating the USSR's economy even further.

April 1980 - The operation to save the American hostages, Operation Eagle's Terror, starts. After a brief firefight on the embassy, as well as few dogfights, the hostages were safely rescued. Many officers credited Davis for the success of the hazardous operation. This however, left Iran a bloodied nose.

Sept. 1980 - Iraq invades Iran, taking advantage of the post-revolutionary chaos of the First Iranian Revolution and to some extent the Iranian blunder earlier. The US government, under pressure from Davis, did not support Iraq.

Oct. 1983 - Operation Urgent Fury, or as Davis jokingly preferred, Operation Planned Using A Tourist Map, begins, starting the US and OAS intervention in Grenada.

1989 - Berlin Wall fell as anti-communism demonstrations spreads throughout Eastern Europe along with regime changes. The two Germanies are united, just like what a saying said: *Germany. Will. Be. United.

The 1989 Berlin Accords were signed; United Earth's Military Forces is officially created along with it's other sub-branches like the United Military Secret Police or the USMP with Davis as the Elite General (he resigned from his position as the chief military advisor to the US Government), the supreme commander of all military forces under UEMF's control. NATO is disbanded. In Germany, newly promoted Generalfeldmarschall Heinz Guderian founded a small yet highly militarized national guard, the Alte Wache, also known as the Old Guard (later renamed to Imperiale Wache or the Imperial Guard after the coup later in early 2019).

After the agreement was signed, the Outer Space Treaty is "revised", giving the UEMF the authority to station WMDs in space and to conduct military operations there.

Many major powers' militaries joined UEMF, including all of NATO members, other neutral European nations (excluding Switzerland, Finland and former Soviet satellite states which will join later after the end of the Cold War or at the outbreak of UEMF-Anarcho War. India would also join later), Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, and South Korea despite some leaders opposed to their militaries' joining the organization.

Development of laser weapons (smaller ones in this case) is ordered by Elite General Davis after he took over as the CEO (which was temporarily held by his brother since Davis is not allowed to due to rules as a person working for the government) of the United Defense.

Davis exempted the Swedish Armed Forces and Irish Armed Forces (later including the Swiss Armed Forces and Japanese Self-Defense Forces) via Directive #3 where the said militaries, would not be deployed for offensive roles and only for peacekeeping to respect their neutrality. (Although after the coup in 2017 and the formation of a military junta, Swedish military revoked its obligation to neutrality. The Irish also revoked its obligation.)

First small-laser arms like the famous Laser Stinger are successfully tested and are now entering production lines. These tests were kept in secret.

The UEMF requested another tunnel on the Channel Tunnel to be built for military purposes. The proposal was passed but it's construction will be delayed as the construction of the civilian part of the tunnel is top priority.

Aug. 1990 - Iraq invades Kuwait, quickly overrunning the unprepared Kuwaiti forces. In just a few days, Kuwait is occupied then annexed into Iraq, while remnants of the Kuwaiti military fled to Saudi Arabia including the Emir of Kuwait and his family.

The United Nations condemned Iraq's invasion of Kuwait and passed Resolution 661 and later followed by Resolution 665. The former places sanctions on Iraq while the latter authorize a naval blockade to enforce the sanctions. It also passed Resolution 678, giving Iraq deadline to withdraw their forces in Kuwait or the UEMF will intervene, which was ignored while offering unfair proposals that are rejected by the UN.

As deadline passed, UEMF air forces bombed and attacked Iraqi forces, bases and other military targets. The land attack followed shortly.

After a hundred hours of fighting, Kuwait is liberated by the UEMF and the Old Guard, making the war one of the most shortest.

UEMF and Old Guard forces encircles the Iraqi Republican Army near the Iraq-Kuwait border, preventing their retreat, forcing them to surrender. Baghdad suffers air raids as well as other Iraqi cities.

Iraq requests a ceasefire to which the UEMF and the UN agrees to and a peace treaty is signed on the night of January 18, withdrawing all it's remaining forces outside Kuwait's border and restoring Kuwait's government and it's country itself.

1991 - USSR fell, and the new Russian armed forces joined the UEMF, along with the Chinese military despite it's government's protests. The latter resulted in a bloody and costly civil war between Pro-UEMF PLA (also known as Reformist Liberation Army) and Pro-Government PLA, also known as the Second Chinese Civil War, which lasted over a year.

START II is finally ratified.

1992 - Pro-UEMF Chinese forces won the war and with the Chinese government forced to agree, the RLA joined the UEMF, beginning the slow transition of China to democracy based on the three principles of Sun Yat Sen. Later in middle of that same year, pro-Shah exiles secretly returns to Iran to start a revolt with the support of several sympathizers and the full backing of the UEMF.

Iran's Supreme Leader is assassinated when the Royal Iranian planes (flown from American aircraft carriers) bombed his office, beginning the Second Iranian Revolution.

Mid 1993 - Russian armed forces completes its withdrawal from Eastern Europe.

Late 1993 - The Second Iranian Revolution ended when the remaining Islamic Iranian forces surrendered to the UEMF forces. A constitutional monarchy is formed in Iran.

April 1994 - UEMF intervention (mostly conducted by special forces and South African troops) in Rwandan Civil War to stop the genocide as well as the civil war itself.

Mid 1994 - UEMF and Rwandan Patriotic Front defeated the Rwandan forces. Arusha Accords is signed. UEMF agrees to help rebuild Rwanda.

1994-1995 - UEMF supported Bosnia and Herzegovina by initiating bombing campaigns as reprisals on crimes against humanity happening in the Bosnian War.

1998 - As Kosovo War continues, the UEMF starts it's bombing campaign against FR Yugoslavia after it's refusal to UEMF's request to send peacekeeping forces to restrain both KLA and FR Yugoslavia.

Sept. 1999 - On New Year's Eve, the anarchist terrorist organization Globex hacked the communications code of the UEMF and temporarily disabled it for days causing chaos and confusion in the entire organization. Then they later assassinated the Russian president Boris Yeltsin and most of the nation's government officials and formed the New Russian Socialist Federative Soviet Republic with the help of surviving communist supporters. Those who survived fled for Western Europe to spread the news, alarming UEMF forces in Europe.

2000 - NRSFSR invades Eastern Europe excluding Finland, conquering the Baltics, Belarus and Ukraine before the advance was halted miles away from Warsaw as well as on the Romanian border, starting the UEMF-Anarcho War. Elite General Davis initiated Directive Order #11, infamously known as No Mercy Policy of UEMF, which grants the officers and soldiers permission to not take prisoners and to execute those who surrender (except to this are officers). This is also when the laser weapons were first used, although in small numbers (Switzium is revealed because of this) by the newly formed *Elemental Army.

Loyalist Russian forces captures Russia's sole aircraft carrier, Admiral Kuznetsov. Commander Jackson B. Browne of the 1st South African Submarine Squadron with help of other navies, manages to safely escort the carrier into a British naval base somewhere in Scotland. He'll be later promoted for his actions.

UEMF launched a land and naval invasion of Eastern Russia to capture nuclear missile silos to prevent their use.

A Russian government-in-exile is formed by Alexander Vasili, an independent hardline conservative politician and a survivor of the 1999 September Purges. Loyalist Russians quickly rallies to him.

After weeks of fighting and stalement on certain areas, UEMF and Old Guard forces liberated Eastern Europe, and began operations to advance into Russia.

2001 - Al Qaeda successfully bombs several cities worldwide, specifically targeting public places such as subways, malls, etc.

UEMF launches Operation Death Reaper, a special forces operation to kill Osama Bin Laden, the leader of Al Qaeda, in Afghanistan. The operation also seeks the elimination of their ally, the Taliban, beginning a covert war (Davis disagreed with the conventional approach) against the terrorists.

2002 - UEMF pushes through deeper into Russia but harsh winter and snow storms halted and delayed the advance by few months.

2003 - After two years of fighting Globex terrorists, brainwashed Russian forces and harsh winter, UEMF forces are finally within few miles of two newly created Russian fortresses at the outskirts of Moscow.

The UEMF uses the new super weapon; the Laser Satellite, to destroy the fortresses, and the UEMF continued to advance towards the city.

UN inspectors discovered a WMD plant in Iraq which prompted the UN to pass a resolution stating that Iraq must destroy their WMD supplies and the plant itself, which was refused and denied it's existence by Iraq. UEMF's forces in Iran and Turkey invaded Iraq to topple Saddam's regime and destroy the stockpile of WMDs. The Second Gulf War ended weeks later, and the UEMF occupied the country for the time being while a new neutral government is formed. Country of Kurdistan is established.

However, the UN inspectors noticed that the weapons at the WMD plant had unknown black and red colored symbols. Suspicion arose that the Globex is involved.

UEMF launches Operation Snowstorm, an operation to encircle Moscow while also finding and securing any bunkers that the NRSFSR's "president" might use as a safehouse.

Loyalist Russian forces capture then later executed the puppet ruler of NRSFSR in a safe house at the outskirts of Moscow, ending the war. However, forces of Globex disappeared. This resulted into UEMF maintaining high alert status for any conflict with the anarchists.

North Korea withdraws from Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty but a threat of military action by the UEMF forces it to rejoin the treaty.

2004 - UEMF assists in rebuilding Russia and a new reactionary government is created by Vasili. This completely entrenched Russia into the pro-UEMF circle.

UEMF starts cooperation with the African Union for humanitarian purposes.

Dec. 2006 - USMP coordinates with the Mexican military and police at the outbreak of Mexican Drug War.

Feb. 2011 - UEMF didn't interfere in Libyan Crisis but instead urged the African Union to do it in their place.

June 2014 - The Islamic State spreads throughout Syria, which only worsen the current civil war there, forces UEMF to intervene. Ground troops invaded then occupied Syria from Turkey and Iraq. This results in IS starting an insurgency in northern Iraq.

2015 - First organization reform in the UEMF. Generalfeldmarschall Heinz Guderian is made the General of the Armies, while Admiral Jackson is made the General of the Air Forces and Admiral of the Navies.

Early 2016 - After two years of occupation, UEMF forces left Syria. Elections were held in the said nation, restoring democracy.

Mid 2016 - Last known remnants of IS are killed by UEMF special forces, ending the fundamentalist terror.

July 2016 - A faction of the Turkish armed forces staged a successful coup against the government under the reasons of erosion of democracy, human right violations and increasing power of President Erdoğan. The coup and later the military junta came under scrutiny and criticism by pro-Erdoğan supporters and people around the globe. The junta also purged its hardline faction. The northern part of Cyprus occupied by Turkey is returned to Republic of Cyprus, UK also gave up it's holdings in Cyprus but continue to hold the bases there as a show of guarantee of independence.

Sept. 2016 - Anarchist bombing in Moscow and St. Petersburg. Alexander Vasili is given more executive power, turning Russia into an imperial presidency. While some protested this action, his popularity prevented any action against him.

Feb. 2017 - Berkeley Protests results in USMP intervention. Several protestors on both sides of the political spectrum are dead. The US Army and USMP takes over city.

Aug. 2017 - A Neo-Nazi and Far-Right rally in Charlottesville, Virginia results in a clash with Antifa and other radical leftwing groups. USMP troopers are sent in to "disperse" the protesters. Hundreds of protesters are shot on the spot by the troopers, causing more outrage and protests in the United States. Later after the rally a clash between a local militia and USMP troopers at a checkpoint results in the deaths of one trooper and six militia members. The USMP also took control of the city.

Davis enacts Directive Order #21, which is the temporarily confiscation of all firearms in the United States as well as the surrender and disbanding of all militias. The current US administration is forced to support this move.

Davis publicly ordered USMP troopers to only shoot at aggressive protesters. Albeit he doesn't need to tell them. The USMP after all, had been deeply taught with *Davissian Thought.

2018 - Racial tensions reaches dangerous level in South Africa, forcing it's military to take over to handle the crisis. Riots sprung up all over the country. After an election in the South African Defense Force, Admiral Jackson (unsurprisingly), becomes the leader of the military junta in South Africa.

Nov. 2018 - The start of Yellow Vest Protests. The French armed forces proposes a coup and Davis agrees. He then ordered specified countries' militaries to prepare their own coups. French army soldiers and USMP troopers violently clash with both French police and Yellow Vest protesters.

Jan.-Mar. 2019 - Start of the Bloody New Year Crisis. Military coups in United States, Canada, Germany, Austria, United Kingdom, France, BeNeLux, and Iberian Peninsula overthrew their respective governments, under the guises of "weak, irresponsible government" and "letting political radicals in the government".

USMP troops raided the certain buildings of a European organization and arrested its members and employees.

UEMF and USMP forces in the United States razed the United Nations Headquarters and in New York City. Davis announced that it'll be replaced by the *High Council. UN's other buildings were also destroyed. This officially replaced the UN with aforementioned UEMF-sponsored High Council.

After the crisis, only Portugal and Germany have slim bits of democracy as military juntas are formed at the other countries; Portugal turned into a military republic while in Germany the semi-constitutional monarchy is returned. The Brundeswehr is renamed to Reichsarmee or Imperial Army. The Old Guard is retained, with its control shared with the "Kaiser" (officially a king, but symbolically a Kaiser) and Imperial Army's commander Generalfeldmarschall Heinz Guderian.

Austria starts a (truthful and honest) referendum of unification with Germany. Their people agreed and the Greater Kingdom of Germany is formed.

Elite General Davis is given the title American Caesar; the savior of America from its demise by the corrupt, weak politicians and political radicals on both sides of the political spectrum.

Treaty of Maastricht: Belgium, Netherlands and Luxembourg reformed the United Kingdom of Netherlands. Eupen-Malmedy was secretly returned to Germany as part of the treaty.

April 2019 - Elite General Davis promoted a person named Juan Matteo as the first Assistant Elite General of UEMF, which is the second-in-command of the said organization. Although this act caused controversy as the man is not a well-known nor even a known person both in and out of the UEMF.

Assistant Elite General Matteo, with the support of Davis, reorganizes the UEMF, forming ministries and departments similar to a government, which slightly decentralized the military organization. He took the positions of Head Quartermaster of Logistics and Head Chief of the USMP, both under the Ministry of Interior. He also assumed the role of the commander of United Special Operation Command or USOCOM.

The American military junta renames the United States into the *American Union State, led by a joint military and civilian "political party".

Russia returns Kaliningrad to Germany, as part of an agreement which creates a replacement for the European Union that would connect Europe with Asia.

Brazilian forces invaded southern Venezuela while American and British naval troops invaded the coastal areas, starting the war of Restoration of Democracy in Venezuela.

May 2019 - The beginning of the Great Purge, which is the USMP world-wide operation to eliminate all political undesirables with the assistance of UEMF. It's also the operation to depoliticize social media and aspects of the society.

Glossary

(Written by Assistant Elite General Juan Matteo)

Laser Satellite - Basically a fucking laser WMD. The designation is PMX-95.

American Union State - Pls buy HOI4 and download the mod Kaiserreich. Also join its subreddit. And support Kaiser Cat Cinema...

In short, it is from Kaiserreich, I obviously don't own that...

High Council - Basically a copy of UN General Assembly. Except for some nations under military juntas of the UEMF, their leaders are the same representatives as with the United Military Council (with the exception of the American Union State or AUS, Davis rules it directly), which is basically UEMF's own assembly.

Germany Will Be United - It's a quote from the German Reunification video by History Scope. Also sub to him.

Elemental Army - Laser, fire and electricity only. Weapons are very, very, very expensive.

As well as to TimeGhost History, World War Two, The Great War...

Davissian Thought - Based on my own understanding of that old man's ideals (also these are some of them and are not in correct order):

1.) Thou shall not kill unarmed/peaceful civilians, nor peaceful protestors. The last time we have to deal with are partisans...

2.) All political radicals are danger to the stability and status quo.

3.) The military knows the best for the country and for the people.

4.) Democracy is optional and/or temporary, and so is a military junta.

5.) Military rule can be two things: A military republicanism, or military juntarianism.

6.) Law and Order above all, basically martial law or military intervention in internal affairs if you want it longer, is only reserved when the time is right. Although I kinda oversimplified that last bit...

With all that out of the way, I would like to apologize for a severe lack of updates.

Don't worry, the next chapter is almost done.

Stay safe.
