Count Formal's Mansion, Throne Room

To say that the atmosphere is tense is an understatement.

The atmosphere, in the room, is very tense.

Assistant Elite General Matteo, flanked by Oberst Müller to his right, sat on a long sofa in the middle of the throne room of the local countess of Italica. Two knights of the Rose Order of Knights from earlier were at the left side of the room while one of the mansion's maids was on the right side whom Matteo suspected of being a capable fighter. Not far from the maid are two troopers with shotguns who were chosen as the guards for the two officers. The Imperial princess sat to their right on a couch, and of course, the countess sat on the throne with two guards beside her.

Slightly outnumbering them six-to-four.

But of course, they're not here to paint the entire room crimson red.

"I-I welcome you to Italica." Countess Myui Formal, the new and current ruler of Italica, began softly. The two officers bowed in respect. "But may I ask you a question, s-sir..."

Matteo took off his cap and stood, albeit rather dominantly for an introduction causing uneasy feeling to the knights and the countess' guards.

"Assistant Elite General Juan Matteo, your grace. With me is Oberst Müller. You may simply call us Sir Matteo and Sir Müller respectively."

"I see, t-thank you. Sir Matteo, are you truly the 'Men in Green' of the UEMF who protected the villagers of Koda from the might of the Fire Dragon?"

"Yes your grace. We're indeed the soldiers of UEMF. We protected them because it is our duty, even if they're the people of our enemy." Matteo replied. The Saderians (with the possible exception of Grey) were confused as to why would they would protect the people they're fighting with but were slightly embarrassed that they failed to protect their own people. Matteo continued, "Civilians, after all, have no reason to be involved in any conflict. They don't deserve the harm caused by it."

Myui nodded in understanding, "I see... Why did you came to Italica? To help us against the marauders?"

"Yes and no, your grace... We have other reasons as to why we came here. Though I believe this is not the right time to talk about it ma'am, unless you wish so." Reluctantly, Myui nodded at him, giving him permission. Shaking his head muttering something, Matteo spoke.

"The first reason we came is because we escorted a few locals who will sell dragon scales in here." That gained attention from the Saderians but the AEG ignored it.

"The second reason is to protect the town as I said earlier. And lastly..." Matteo pauses. "To occupy the town."

"I knew it!" Hamilton flared up, unsheathing her sword. "You otherworlderly sa–"

Pina quickly held up her hand before another incident could happen.

"Stand down Hamilton! Let him continue!" Hamilton attempted to protest but Grey prevented her from doing anything further. Pina gritted her teeth. It seems to her that the UEMF will protect the town and will ask for payment in return. If the townspeople refused, the 'Men in Green' will pillage the town for payment, replacing the bandits they're fighting. With the raucous knight silenced, Matteo proceeded.

"While we would occupy the town, we would not interfere in its affairs nor ask tribute nor even claim it for a country." This confused the locals, especially Pina. "However, again, it is much better to discuss about this later and instead focus at the task at hand."

"Of course." Matteo nodded and took out a detailed map of Italica from his pocket dimension and laid it on the coffee table, surprising the locals. The 'Men in Green' do have magic.

Well, that is until they discover that he is one of the only three mages in the UEMF. But that won't be happening soon.

"Now onto the defense of th–"

"H-hold on. I'm an Impe–" Matteo held his hand up.

"Yes I'm fully aware that you're a princess, your highness, but if you're going order me what to do then I would rather leave this town than help you."

The princess gritted her teeth, seems that she doesn't have a choice but to give in. While the past attempts of the marauders to get in have failed, they have the numbers as well as experience since they're former soldiers. However, with the voluntary assistance of the 'Men in Green', the town might be saved. But questions are: what would be their fate after the battle? Would they be taken prisoners or simply slain?

"Fine then. If this plan of yours will guarantee our victory then I will support it."

"Thank you your majesty." Matteo replied with a smile. Pina looked confused at his sudden change of emotion but quickly brushed it off as nothing.

"First, what is the current condition of the defenses?" The princess assessed the already built defenses of the town and the ones they hastily made days earlier.

"The walls are not damaged, the bandits don't possess any form of siege engines, all of them are on foot. There are two ballistas on each gate, and behind each gate are *spiked wooden poles blocking all roads into the town itself. We do have hot oil, but in limited supply..." Matteo nodded as he observed the terrain around the town on the map. The town is surrounded by grassland and farmland except on the west side, which is mainly forested. The town itself has a large path between it and the walls. Guess he'll have the walls' crenellations in barbed wire then to prevent the enemy from getting over the walls. At least the bandits do not have siege weapons such as trebuchets and catapults nor they know tunnel warfare.

"Well... Minus one ballista. I apologize again for that." Pina simply brushed it off.

"I-it is fine.. There is nothing to worry about it. It is an accident after all..."

"Thank you. How are the town's defenders?"

"We have a thousand militiamen and a hundred town guards, then we have four knights including myself. We have other knights coming from the north but I doubt they would arrive on time..."

"I see... What are your estimates on the number of bandits?"

"While they haven't yet attacked in large numbers, it is possible that they number in at least a thousand..." Pina guessed grimly. Matteo stared at her in disbelief, even Müller is flabbergasted. A thousand of bandits with medieval weapons, against a modern military with modern weapons? A lot would be killed in just mere seconds similar to when the soldiers in the First World War went over the top of their trenches and immediately shot down by machine gun fire. It's a big surprise that they have managed to stay united despite them being bandits who might backstab one another when the opportunity shows itself.

"If your estimation is true, your highness. The battle that will start later shouldn't be called a battle, it should be called a bloody massacre. Literally." Pina immediately froze. These are the rumored 'Men in Green' after all, the same people who crushed ten of their legions, half of the Allied Armies and the infamous Fire Dragon, plus the incident from earlier and this man's magic. If the marauders would fight these otherworldly soldiers, they would be quickly defeated. Even if they nor even the Italicans didn't help them to the defense.

But then Matteo suddenly chuckled, catching her attention. "Well, we have no choice princess. They've already made their choice. They can now only do two things: die early outside the walls or die later on the graves they themselves have dug at gunpoint." Pina paled at his statement. While not knowing what 'gunpoint' is, she guessed it is related to their black staves. But she could hardly disagree with him. These soldiers of theirs as well as their vassals deserted after all, which is an obvious crime and has a severe punishment, of death.

"But don't worry your majesty, we will win." The AEG reassured with a smile. "With your cooperation, the people of Italica will finally live in peace and secured." Pina nodded, but reluctantly, still suspicious of his behavior and intentions.

"Okay, now onto the plan..." Matteo motions the princess to come closer. "Based from the information you've given, it is obvious that we should stay on the defensive, considering their numbers. Hell we could get overwhelmed if we're too cocky. It is likely that they will attack the west gate which has a forest on the north side of the road there. The bandits could use them to hide their forces as the other surrounding areas on other gates is mostly flat ground. My forces will bombard the forest once they started their attack and force them to fight on open ground."

"And the good news is, we have reinforcements arriving soon from Alnus Hill."

"From Alnus Hill? But traveling from there to Italica would take days!" Matteo slowly turned at the annoying, loud-mouthed brown-haired knight. At this point he is resisting the temptation of basically smacking her head hard with his rifle.

Or just turn her over to Dash who can deal with the female knight much better.

"I'm pretty sure that you're not blind and saw our... 'Horseless iron carriages', miss. With those vehicles we can travel that only takes hours or minutes, depending on the distance." Hamilton clenched her jaw, but thankfully Grey is there to hold her back. With the knight been taught a lesson once more, the AEG returned to the discussion.

"Anyways, as soon as my reinforcements arrived, I will split them into two forces. One will assist us in the defense while the other will strike the bandits' camp once their attack force left for Italica. I will distribute my men equally on all four gates. For now, we shall prepare and wait. Is this fine, your highness?"

"Y-yes. W-we have an agreement..."

"Excellent. I shall now take my leave, your highness. I wish your men won't cause any problem to us." Matteo bowed to her before facing the countess.

"Me and my men will ensure your safety as well as of your people." Matteo promised as he bowed once more, taking the map before starting to leave the room with Müller and their two troopers.

"W-wait." Matteo halted and turned back at Myui."I-is my father alive?"

"He is indeed alive and well. Don't worry, he will return soon." He assured the countess with a smile before he leaving the room with his men. The maid quickly went to comfort the tearful but happy countess. As soon as their temporary allies left, Pina spoke.

"Count Formal is alive? That is hard to believe..." She stood up and faced her cohorts.

"Let's go, we must return to our duties. We shall also see how these 'men in green' fight." Grey and a fuming Hamilton nodded and followed the princess.

Outside of the Formal Mansion grounds

Matteo and his entourage went to Heinz and Dash who were at the tank waiting for them.

"Heinz, get the troops working."

"Zee princess agreed? Any changes?"

"Yup, she agreed to the plan. And no, the plan is still the same." Matteo tossed the map to the field marshal.

"Divide the troops equally on all four gates. Half of your division will help in the defense, staying in the middle of the town to quickly respond to any threat on either of the four gates. As usual, USMP will handle the cleanup. The other force will be striking the camp alongside a special forces company." Matteo summarized as Heinz looked at the map.

"I'm guessing this special forces vill handle zee task of finding zee camp?" Matteo nodded in response.

"The Korps Commandotroepen will be assisting your men after they found the enemy camp. While me and Dash will do some scouting around here for the second base's location. And also, the your other force that'll be going to the north doesn't really have to be large. I believe they're all going in and be leaving a skeleton force behind in their camp. Just several mobile SPGs and IFVs should be fine." The AEG replied as his wings appeared and spread out.

Dutch special forces, never heard of that huh.

"Herr Müller, your men specifically will be guarding the mansion, the ones from the panzer division would be assigned for the cleanup." Matteo ordered to the major.

"Jawohl." Müller set off with the two troopers earlier.

"One question; does zee USMP attached to my division have to join my men to zee north?" Heinz asked. Matteo waved it off.

"No need. Also where did the three civies went?"

"Just left to visit zee local merchant for zee scales." Heinz stated. "Anyway, see you two later. You two better not... Fucking lovemaking... Somevere... Again..." He slowly murmured the last few words with an exasperated expression. Matteo laughed at the field marshal much to his annoyance only to be interrupted by Dash.

"Oi oi, let's get going."

"Yeah yeah, I'm sorry buttercup." Dash pouted at him for the last word. Holding one of each others' hands, the two flew simultaneously upwards before turning northeast of the town.

With the couple away with their own task, it's time for Heinz to do his part. Grabbing his headset, he relayed the orders to his personal division.

"Generalmajor, you've got new orders; you vill split your forces in two once you've arrived. Zee other vill stay in defense of Italica vile zee other. It vill be just a small force, it is tasked of attacking the enemy camp once zeir main force attacked Italica. I vill pass zee coordinates of zis said camp later once it is found. Also tell zee USMPs zat zeir order is still zee same."

"Jawohl, generalfeldmarschall. The men of 1st Panzer Division will never disappoint."

1845 Hours, West Walls

Martin stood guard at the wall, checking the western approach with binoculars for any hostiles as the sun sets. Another soldier doing the same is Aleksei with a SV-98 sniper rifle while other members of their squad are resting behind them with the except of Bane. The German Old Guard, Italican militia and town guards are also doing the same, with many of the locals relieved that these 'Men in Green' are here to help.

"Jeez, we're in this town for almost an entire day and they still haven't attacked yet." Henry complained.

"That's because they're going to attack us at night Frenchie, so better not doze off. Just because they're medieval shitasses and that doesn't mean they don't use their heads. Most of them bandits are former soldiers after all." Archibald responded, handing the Frenchman night vision goggles, who quietly thanked the German.

"Guess we have long night in front of us." Aleksei stated, taking out his canteen to drink. Martin nodded in agreement.

"Hey guys! Have seen the maids at the mansion? They have cat ears!" Bane exclaimed rather joyfully as he walk towards them. His teammates looked at him questioningly.

"What? Are you on shrooms or something?" Henry quipped.

"No no no, there are really catgirls in this world! The Old Guards told me that!"

"I'm gonna hit your head with my rifle if you don't shut up about your fantasies." Archibald warned while pointing a finger at him.

"Oh fuck you two then if you don't believe me!" The two resting men shrugged off while Bane walked up to Martin to hand him a letter.

"Moving on from the topic of catgirls, here's a letter from the guys at the exchange program. I'm guessing today's the last day we'll be together as a squad."

"Definitely, thanks. I'll read it later or tomorrow." Martin placed the envelope into one of his pockets for the time being.

"And by the way Martin. The AEG gave the order that we shall not shoot any surrendering bandits. We will help in turning them over to the USMP."

"I can see the reason why, got it. Guess we will be at the sidelines this time."

XXXX

2030 Hours, Northwest of Italica

A two-man sniper team accompanied by a signalman watches over the bandit camp which is surrounded by tall palisades from a nearby hill, their other comrades are spread out around the camp in preparation for the assault later. After being airdropped hours earlier, the 108th Commando Company of Korps Commandotroepen have managed to gain information regarding several of the captured civilians and the slave trade routes as well as Imperial forces stationed in a town on the Dumas Mountain Range on the road towards the Saderian capital. Though their main mission is information gathering and rescuing the said captured civilians, it is temporarily on hold as right now they're on a side mission of eliminating the bandit camp alongside the Old Guard, which is yet to arrive.

And then, the large wooden gate opens, exiting through are large numbers of bandits.

"That's their attack force. Signalman, send out the message to the guys in Italica." The spotter ordered. The signalman nodded and spoke at the radio while both the spotter and the sniper identify the composition of the enemy.

XXXX

0035 Hours, outside of Count Formal Mansion

"They're really taking their time and the attack seriously. It's been a long time since they've left." Matteo yawned as he checked his watch, Dash is leaning against him snoozing away. Heinz nodded as he ate his energy bar. The Old Guard soldiers assigned as quick response force are busy chatting, doing their routine patrol or checking their equipment and vehicles.

"Ja, no doubt about zat."

"How are the three locals?"

"Inside zee mansion, zough it took time convincing zat accursed apostle to stay zere... Zey haven't sold zee dragon scales. Zey said zat it's because of the merchant store closed due to trade stopping as zee result of banditry."

"Well that's unfortunate."

The two officers continued to chatter until someone interrupted them from Matteo's earpiece.

"Rainbow One this is Colonel Martin at the West Gate, the enemy has attacked! They're coming from the forest!"

"Got it, we're on our way. Bleed them as you retreat to the second defense line."

"Roger that Rainbow One!"

"They fell for it." Matteo stated, nudging his sleeping beauty. Heinz meanwhile turned to the crews of parked Hummels after he finished eating.

"Fire HE at zee forests!" The crews quickly went to action. Loaders load the shells, drivers turning the self-propelled guns to the right direction and gunners aiming the gun at the right angle.

"Feuer!"

A salvo of shells were unleashed and flew towards the forest, annihilating a large number of the enemy force. The sudden concert of loud explosions awakened many of the town's sleeping inhabitants.

"Let's go Heinz!" Matteo ordered as Dash got up on the tank.

"Keep in contact with us and zee other gates!" Heinz commanded at the crew of the command variant of the Sd.Kfz. 251 half-track through his headset before ordering the driver to move to the west gate with a couple of Old Guard tanks, half-tracks and USMP armored personnel carriers. The other tanks went to the north gate for a flanking maneuver.

"Overlorddd! This is Rainbow One, sent in the cavalry!" Matteo yelled at his earpiece.

"I can fucking hear you bastard, you don't have to yell at me. Good luck out there."

As the 'Men in Green' went to work, they were watched by Pina from the balcony.

Linus stood behind a small wall of sandbags alongside a machine gun team, overseeing the withdrawal of their men and the local forces from the walls.

"Herr Linus! How it feels to be back?" A soldier asked loudly.

"Better than sitting in the office or working on some mundane task." Linus shot back, receiving a laugh from the soldier. Then another soldier ran up to him and pointed at the wall.

"Herr Linus, the knight is refusing to fall back with others." Linus turned to the said figure. Seems like a young arrogant brat.

"Can you tell the local militia to manhandle him out of there? Or knock him out and take him to the back?" The soldier saluted, quickly returning to the wall.

XXXX

0056 Hours, Aria Highway, 1st Airborne Laser Company

Second-in-command of USCOM, Major General Grigoriy Fyodorov, is on board one of few *MH-47Ks carrying laser troopers. Not wanting to stay behind the desk in the Motherland, he decided to participate in the war, at least as an observer. But as he was on his way to Japan, he received the report from the recent events in Romania, and told to give them to his superiors. Since Elite General Davis now rarely goes on an active role in the front lines, it is much faster to contact him. But for his superior, it's gonna take some time.

He didn't expected to be hitching a ride in a company of an airborne *Elemental Army unit. The Italican count, whose name he immediately forgotten, is onboard a separate helicopter. It seems that the count's surviving soldiers would be in the hands of the USMP, for some more time.

"General! How are you faring?" A laser paratrooper asked.

"I'm fine, not used to flying." The Russian replied.

"Don't worry general, we're getting there." The officer in charge of the paratroopers insured.

"Hey, what song shall I pick before we get there?" The pilot questioned. The officer pondered for a few seconds before answering.

"Evolution mate, that's a good one."

"Oh, going nihilistic today eh?"

[Playing Pearl Jam - Evolution]

"Alright! Time to show the best of humanity!" A trooper jokingly exclaimed.

"Disintegrating human bodies yeah that's a good thing to see, right comrades?" Another one added.

"Jesus Christ y'all are horrible people..." Everyone laughed at the copilot's response. Grigoriy simply kept quiet, with classified and concerning news back from Earth made him unconformable.

XXXX

"Henry! Hurry up and grab your fucking flammenwerfer! We are leaving!" Archibald bellowed as he fire at the bandits trying to climb up the wall using ladders.

"I know! Don't tell me what to do, salaud!" The Frenchman yelled back as he took the said weapon before rushing towards the stairs. Aleksei fires his rifle at any archer he could find through the burning trees while Martin and Bane assist Archibald as their Old Guard and local allies withdraw.

"Гавно! They just kept coming!"

"Quiet and just shoot 'em!"

"What do you think I'm doing!" Aleksei shot the last archer he could find. Searching for others, he found someone standing out. A small girl doing what it looks like singing. He fired a shot at her, but the bullet is deflected by an unknown force. He fired again, only for her deflect it again. "The fuck? Is she using magic?"

Martin checked on the said person of interest using binoculars.

"If she does use magic then I guess we inform the AEG so that he can deal with her, now let's go!" The two quickly run down the stairs while Archibald stayed behind for a second to shoot a climbing bandit at the head before following suit.

XXXX

Mansion's Balcony

Pina stared to the west, lost in thought. She had witnessed the power of their 'iron elephants' earlier, and now she's seeing it again, albeit this kind is very different from those with long muzzles. It seems like these are the siege engines of the UEMF.

"Are you fine, your majesty?" Myui broke Pina from her bemusement.

"Y-yes, I'm fine your gra–."

*Boom Boom Boom*

The two covered their ears as the ground rocked. The Hummels discharge another volley, turning the attention of the two at the self-propelled artilleries.

"What do you think of them?" Myui asked out of curiosity.

"They're still our enemy. Though I'm confused yet fascinated about them, especially their weapons and concept of waging war." Myui nodded at her in agreement. These 'Men in Green' are strange, terrifying and fascinating all at the same time.

"I will watch them fight, your grace. Please stay here." Pina said to Myui, who nodded and bid her farewell.

Meanwhile, during the cannon fire, a small figure jumped up from the second floor and broke the roof of the mansion before rushing towards the west gate, hopping from roof to roof with ease and swiftly. Her two companions decided not to follow her. Guess they will have to explain this later.

XXXX

West Wall, Italican Side

As the last militiamen retreated behind their secondary line of defense, the Old Guard blocked all western paths to the rest of the town with their barbed wires and the spiked wooden poles the local defenders have made, with the exception of the central path which is defended with machine guns, a flamethrower Stug III and a Sd.Kfz. 234/4 Puma behind a long wall of sandbags.

Unsurprisingly, every bandit tried to get over the walls using ladders were blocked by barbed wire and immediately shot by rifle fire as soon as they poked their head up. This is to force the enemy to instead go through the gate, which would create a bottleneck.

And a kill zone.

"Do they have a siege weapon?" The Stug's machine gunner asked loudly.

"Nein, the field marshal said they don't have any." A crew on the Puma's turret replied. "But they have one big guy coming with them."

"Guess we would just wait for them to kick down the front door and give them a good greeting." Came the reply from the machine gunner.

Martin and his squad had quickly established defensive positions along the line of sandbags with the Old Guard after telling the militia and a reluctant knight to stay behind them just in case.

"I bet it's one of those same massive fucking ogres who will smash that gate open." Henry whispered, with his flamethrower ready.

"Even if they do, it won't deal a lot of damage though. A shell cannon from that Puma will definitely have a explosive effect to the ogre's body, though we don't want gore flying all over the place and over us." Archibald replied.

"Quiet you two." Martin hissed, the two men quickly fall silent. On the other side of sandbag wall meanwhile, the same machine gun team from earlier prepare themselves for the onslaught.

"Get the replacement barrel ready." Linus ordered at the machine gun crews.

"Jawohl." He then turned to his squad.

"Make sure you got a lot of amm–"

Suddenly, the gate is hammered by a large wooden club until it is entirely destroyed in half, by an ogre. But before it can even move a step forward, it immediately received a shell to it's stomach, blasting the creature in half. The bandits started charging aimlessly now that their meatshield is dead, followed by several arrows raining down. None managed to hit.

"Scheisse! Open fire!" Linus yelled, letting out hot lead from his Sturmgewehr. The sounds of the infamous MG42 immediately filled the air as the marauders charged into towards them.

"Fucking hell." Bane muttered in disbelief.

"See?! What did I tell you?!" Henry yelled as he discharged burning gasoline from his flamethrower into the rushing bandits.

"Fuck you Frenchie!" Archibald fires his assault rifle at the incoming bandits. One by one the marauders were cut down effortlessly. And to add insult to injury, the Stug III unleashes its own flames, setting a number of enemies, both dead and alive, ablaze.

"Brennen sie in der hölle wilde!" An Old Guard soldier yelled as the surviving bandits slowly retreated just in time for Heinz and Co. to arrive.

"Huh, seems like zey're a bit more organized. Maybe zey kept zeir military discipline instead of becoming reckless marauders." The field marshal noted as he observed the carnage. The bandits fell back instead of keep charging head-on.

"No doubt about that." Matteo contacts their airborne reinforcements while Heinz orders the soldiers to fire flares over the wall.

West Wall, Outside

The bandit leader gritted his teeth. He and his remaining men are now forced to hug the walls since the forest is so devastated that it can't provide that much cover. He can't believe that their enemies at Alnus Hill have arrived to help the imperial princess and the Italicans. This was supposed to be an easy victory! He already lost a lot of his men during the explosions earlier. Not only that, they've also lost their only ogre, in the same manner as their human counterparts; in just mere seconds, just like back in Alnus Hill.

"W-what are we gonna do now?" The bandit leader turned to one of his subordinates. He began to think of a plan. But it won't be needed, they won't be getting out of this alive anyway.

XXXX

1st Airborne Laser Company

"Sir, the AEG has contacted us. He said that the enemy is just outside the west wall with one mage. They have reduced their numbers and repelled the attack. They are now waiting for our move."

"I see, take us there. Send out the message to the escorts to head in first and notify the rest of the company."

"Rrroger that captain." The captain turned away from the cockpit to his men. "Switching song for the *psyops and AEG himself."

[Playing Lynyrd Skynyrd - Free Bird]

"Alright men! The enemy assault has been repulsed, but they still possess large numbers as well as one mage so be careful. We'll hit them from behind and make sure none of them escapes, got it?" The officer received various nods of understanding. He then proceeded to press a button near the right sliding door which opens the sliding doors on both sides of the modified Chinook. The same happened to other helicopters while turning westward away from the view of the bandits.

Their escorts, four *RAHL-66 Laser Comanches, armed with two rocket pods and of course, a laser autocannon, flew in head on to disorganize the enemy while the paratroopers prepare to "drop" from the transport helicopters using their uniquely designed *jetpacks.

XXXX

108th Commando Company

Surveying from afar, the sniper team continues to observe the bandit camp alongside the signaler who is communicating with the Old Guard force nearby and to the rest of their company. It's time.

After just a few seconds, artillery shells fell and exploded all over the camp followed by muffled gunfire from their fellow Dutch commandos surrounding the camp. Soon after, their armored support arrives to assist.

XXXX

Hearing what it seems to be helicopter rotors, Heinz immediately shouted to his men.

"Our reinforcements are here! Get yourselves onboard! Make sure you have night vision gears!" The soldiers rushed to hop on whatever vehicle they can ride on. Except for a certain duo.

"Finally! Let's go!" Matteo, along with Dash, put on their night vision goggles and quickly rushed into battle with their respective weapons on hand, killing the bandits near the sides of the gate, leaving the men and its field marshal behind.

At least the two cleaned the mess from the initial onslaught on their way out using whatever magic that is.

"Fucking bloodzirsty maniacs..." Heinz mumbled as the Tiger advanced followed by other combat vehicles, not noticing a certain obvious small figure on the rooftop of a building nearby observing them closely as well as the four knights (with one a bit hazy) far behind them.

The sudden appearance of 'floating lights' and arrival of 'metal pegasus' caught the bandits off guard. That proved to be one of the last nails to their coffin as one by one his men started to panic and did their best to run away. Some archers tried to fight back, but they all met the fate of being disintegrated by laser fire. Four helicopters won't be the last surprise for them; the 1st Airborne Laser Company is coming from the west along with transports coming in to surround the area while providing machine gun fire, both eliminating those who were lucky to get far away from the chasing Germans.

Seeing that everything is now hopeless, the bandit leader yells to anyone who can hear him to flee to the north, hoping to reach their camp, only to be slashed and his body cut off into multiple slices and pieces alongside several of his men nearby.

"Their leader is dead! Let's find their mage!" Matteo exclaimed to Dash. The two quickly went off to search the mage while the Old Guards rush to eliminate those who are still alive from the bloody onslaught of the two mages while USMP troopers stayed behind for their task.

"Gehe vorwärts! Subdue zose voo surrender! Neutralize zose voo don't and zose voo are wounded!" Heinz barked loudly as crackles and buzzes of gunfire filled the air.

Those stragglers who were unfortunately near the gate were immediately gunned down while those who managed to ran away were chased down by Laser Comanches with some support from transport choppers and the ones running to the north were blocked by Old Guard tanks exiting from the northern gate. While a few managed to surrender on time and taken away, they were immediately faced with horror when they were turned over to intimidating 'Black Armored Men' and forced to walk down south away from the fighting.

The attack have failed and her captors fell into chaos and disarray. With the bandits meant to guard her simply fled for their lives, she took her chance to finally get her freedom. Myuute Luna Sires quickly sprinted away, evading the so-called 'Men in Green' behind her and their strange iron birds and flying 'Blue Men' allies above as she ran to the remains of the forest. Panting and almost out of breath, she hid in a patch of bushes to rest. Thinking to herself; she is finally free, no longer a slave nor forced to use her magic.

As she took time to breath and started contemplating her current options, two certain figures sneaked behind her and one of them hit her head with a rifle's stock, knocking her out cold.

Maybe a bit too hard.

"A siren?" Dash questioned, observing the physical attributes of the mage.

"Seems like it." Matteo answered, tying up the harpy's hands and legs with anti-magic cuffs.

"Okay, but was it really necessary to hit her that hard?"

"Of course."

"Seriously?..."

"Shut up and let's go. Help me carry her. The faster we do this the faster we can end this."

"Yeah yeah."

"This is like Alnus Hill all over again." Bane exclaimed, counting his remaining ammo as his squadmates and a few USMP troopers escorted a column of surrendered bandits to a designated open area down south of the town while the Elemental Army and the Old Guards continue to search and chase down any remaining marauders.

"Ja, except we don't have to deal with tens of thousands." Archibald agreed. Just nearby, a USMP officer walks up to his men and began barking orders.

"Tell them to huddle into groups of ten and only start to hand out the shovels to them when I told to do so." The troopers saluted and went off while the officer turned to them.

"You there! With the flamethrower! That better have enough gas to burn these fucking barbarians because we'll borrow it!"

Henry simply nodded slowly at the man who quickly turned his attention somewhere else yelling same orders to other troopers.

"He seems like that kind of an officer to me." Aleksei whispered. Martin nodded in agreement.

"Yep."

"Again, arrange them into groups of ten! Make sure that the holes they're gonna dig are deep enough for all of them!"

"Jesus Christ... This is a massacre..." Grigoriy muttered as he watched the door gunner cut down several running bandits with a laser variant of MG42, slowly disintegrating their bodies while the paratroopers chase down others, firing their respective laser weapons.

"Guess the USMP's gonna have a field day cleaning up the mess." The pilot stated to his copilot.

"Yeah... The mess..."

"Got a couple of runners that went through underneath us, adjust our position pilot." The other door gunner conveyed onto his earpiece.

"Roger that." The machine gun rattled a barrage of laser bullets. Two more marauders were disintegrated. More to go.

Two hours later, 0231 Hours, Outside of West Gate

"Generalfeldmarschall! The far surrounding areas are cleared! All hostiles are eliminated and captured. Those who surrendered are now turned over to the MPs. The enemy camp is also destroyed. There might be a lucky few who managed to escape." Heinz nodded at the soldier.

"Tch, good work still, zey won't be able to become a huge threat with such low numbers. Regroup with zee rest of your men, I vill follow suit." The grunt saluted and left. Heinz turned to face the duo who were sitting on the front hull of the tank. "Guess zat's not how zis fight vas meant to happen."

"Preferable over letting them in and fight in close quarters." Matteo pointed out.

"Agreeable, even zough zat is technically vat you two wanted." Heinz shot back.

"Shaddap." Matteo snorted and shrugged while Dash chuckled. Suddenly, the captain of the airborne company appears and slowly touches down with his jetpack before saluting at the three officers.

"Ah, good work out there captain. Your assistance made this whole thing much easier." Matteo returned the salute.

"Thank you sir." He replied.

"Is the package secured?" Matteo asked.

"Yessir, safe and sound in his mansion along with his 'bodyguard'. And also, General Grigoriy came with us. He said he wants to talk to you." Matteo quickly pondered why his second-in-command of USOCOM is here.

"Huh, sounds like he has some bad news. Alright, rejoin with your men, it won't be long before you RTB." The captain nodded and saluted before flying to his unit's location.

"Did the knights watched the whole affair?" Matteo questioned, staring at the broken west gate that was being repaired by German pioneers.

"Nope, though one of them is unconscious being guarded by the militia. Unless they watched it as soon as we're already outside routing the bandits." Dash replied.

"That is good to hear I guess, because now it's their judgment time; either they accept our mercy or die resisting." Matteo stated plainly before climbing to the tank turret.

Meanwhile, from a distance south of the town, sounds of shots fired filled air, for the last time.

XXXX

Some time later, back at the Throne Room

Pina anxiously sat with her knights with the leader of the 'Men in Green' in front of her on a separate sofa, now with a female soldier and a different officer who spoke with a foreign accent. The 'Men in Green' have won against the traitors and bandits. Even worse, they are the ones who have saved the town, not them Saderians, who were supposed to be their protectors. Furthermore, what this Matteo said about the count is indeed true; the count is alive, arrived from those iron birds but alongside a man who introduced himself as the count's bodyguard. He looks slightly similar from the officer alongside the leader of the 'Men in Green' during their meeting yesterday. While Myui and Formal are filled with joy for the saviors to the town, she remained suspicious and cautious with these otherworlders' real intentions. Especially regarding the fate of hers as well as her comrades. And she also felt embarrassed that they, the supposed protectors of their vassal, weren't able to help in the victory, to a certain extent at least.

"Now that the town's safety is secured. It's now time to completely decide the future of this town." Pina braced herself for their true and harsh demands. She will refuse all of them and resist as the lose of Italica has significant consequences to the Empire's economy. Italica would never be surrendered and annexed to these otherwo–

"Just like what I've earlier, the town would remain as it is; independent and no tribute demanded or anything like that. We just want occupation for the town's security which I would expand to other towns under the rule of the Formal Clan after some consideration. This bandit threat is dangerous to the people regardless of whether they're from your Empire or from its vassals. And also, they now would be neutral in the war between us."

Pina stared at him, astonished and paralyzed at his words, even her cohorts are surprised, with the exception of Grey, who seems to have understood the reason. She might have been wrong about this man. Maybe these 'Men in Green' have a high respect for rules and honor, unlike their own legions. Composing herself from the man's honesty, she replied.

"I-I see, so you've stayed true to your words and intentions." Pina pauses before continuing, ignoring the annoying proud smile on AEG's face. "But what about me and my knights? Would we be taken as prisoners?"

Matteo kept his smile at the princess, making her uncomfortable until he said the words that would change her fate.

"You four will live, you can stay in the town for a few hours until your supposed reinforcements arrived. After that, you must leave. You must thank Count Formal himself for that, he insisted that you and your cohorts must be spared, which I found understandable considering that he used to be your mentor." Pina turned to the count before bowing and mouthing 'thank you' to him. Count Formal smiled and bowed at her in return. After that, she turned back at the AEG.

"Thank you Sir Matteo, for your goodwill and clemency." Count Formal clapped his hands loudly, turning to the head maid.

"Time for a feast of victory! Can we prepare a banquet, Persia?" The maid, now named, shook her head. Matteo took note of her name.

"We can, but we don't have enough food reserves."

"Hmm, we will have have to make do with what we have then." Formal turned to the UEMF officers. "Please join us in the feasting."

Matteo smiled and nodded. "Thank you Count Formal for the generous invitation, we will join you shortly."

The count and his daughter left the room, followed by the maid, the princess and her cohorts (with a certain one scowling, still), leaving the three alone.

"So, what did Fyodorov said to you earlier?" Heinz asked. Matteo took out the documents he received from his USCOM subordinate and went to the last page for the summary.

"The Globex is secretly trying to construct a Gate, the same thing they used during the war using whatever the fuck they have, in Romania of all places, hence the sudden crime rate and large quantities of suspicious and prohibited items caught and found." Matteo stated with narrowed eyes as he read the file. "Though their operation is quickly impeded by the Strike Force Team, sanctioned by Davis of course."

"Verdammt... Is that all?"

"Yep, other than telling me that, he told me the recent lifting of martial law in Sweden, the subsequent announcement of elections and the formation of a massive coalition in there, from SocDems to Conservatives, just like the current one in Russia which is very ambitious I would say. Anyway he just came to see how the war is going. But hey, at least them anarchists can't make one using amateur shit. That just adds a point to whatever the fuck Dr. Johnny's theory is."

"Yeah yeah, all that time machine or alternate universe sheisse. Good thing we don't have to worry a lot..." Heinz mumbled as he stood up and left for the dining room. As soon as the German is gone, Dash nudged her lover's shoulder.

"Hey, have you added the princess to your list yet?" She asked with a mischievous smirk. Matteo pretended to be oblivious to what she is on about.

"Dunno what you are talking about, my little pogchamp." He immediately received a slap to his shoulder. The two immediately laughed at each other and left the room with intertwined arms and happy faces, catching up with the German. Good thing the two throne guards yesterday weren't there.

"To be honest, no. I won't."

"I have doubts."

"Whatever you say so, little pogchamp."

Meanwhile, on the next floor.

Major Müller just finished listening to Lelei and Tuka's explanation when one of his troopers walked up to them.

"Sir, what happened here?" A trooper questioned, looking at an opening on the ceiling. The German looks up at the said hole before turning to the trooper.

"You know that kid with a massive halberd or scythe?"

"Yes?"

"She made that when the battle started. I don't know why, but possibly out of sheer curiosity of our power since she went roof to roof towards the west gate and because of... Dead souls coming to her body."

"What? And do you mean that kid? That's insane."

"Well yeah, the intel said she's an apostle for a god of war or death and can carry something that is twice or thrice the size of her. Anyway, can you get the pioneers to fix the roof?"

"From any unit sir?"

"As long as they know how to fix a goddamn dach."

"Yessir." As soon as the trooper left, Lelei tugged his uniform to get his attention.

"Sir Müller, we're going out to check the merchant store again if it accepts trading now." The mage informed.

"I see. Me and my men will help you with those sacks of dragon scales. I'll notify my superior about it." Müller radioed the said superior through the radio.

Outside of Formal Mansion

After a column of armored cars, half-tracks and self-propelled artilleries coming from the north passed by, Martin continued reading through the contents of the letter while his squad busy themselves with anything they could kill time with. Archibald and Henry are busy arguing as always, while Aleksei is catching some sleep in the Humvee and Bane having a smoke break.

"I inform you and your squad that you are now terminated from the program. Do not fret, as the results are positive; no incidents nor citations, friendships are formed, and respected each others' differences. Thank you for volunteering and your cooperation. As soon as you and your squad returns to the main base of operations, please report straight to the whatever-the-fuck-the-title-is officer of the exchange program immediately and you will be returned to your original units. Have a nice day, and thank the guys working on the program. – Assistant Elite General Juan Matteo" Martin slightly chuckled before folding back the letter and turning to Bane.

"Hey, Bane? Mind if you pass this to them? And while you're at it, can you shut them up?" He waved the letter at the American, who is doing nothing much unlike the two Europeans who are throwing one history-related insult after another, which is fitting considering the pair is a German and a French.

"Sure thing, their voices annoy me." Bane took the letter and walked up to the two loudmouthed men, leaving Martin to his own thoughts, mainly about their future now they are done with the progra–

"Excuse me! Which of you is an engineer?" A trooper suddenly asked loudly, which surprisingly halted the arguing of Henry and Archibald.

"I am, why do you ask?" Henry turned away from his German frenemy.

"Can you get your tools? You've got a roof to fix." The trooper questioned, pointing at the mansion.

"Got it, will you fetch other pioneers?" The trooper nodded and quickly left to search. "Just wait at the reception area! I'll call for more help!" Henry grabbed the equipment needed and ran to the mansion. Archibald is left grumbling but at least he won't lose his voice. Martin walked up to Bane and whispered.

"Guess that is what it takes to stop their nonsense."

"Yep."

XXXX

0643 Hours, Mansion's Balcony

"Yeah, the bandits are eliminated, as well as their camp. The laser paratroopers are on their way back there along with the Comanches and Fyodorov. The knights? They're still here, their comrades is still on its way I suppose. Right, see you later. It's a good thing you know how to make a call using a cellphone... Hahaha. Oh fuck off old man. Yeah yeah, see you, for real now." Matteo took off his earpiece and placed it into his pockets before looking down, appreciating the view and the beauty of the garden below him, with Dash taking a walk around it, busy exploring the beauty of the property. His serenity however was interrupted when the imperial princess entered the balcony and stood near him.

"Is there something you need, your highness?" The AEG inquired, his eyes fixated at the garden.

Pina watches another column of those 'horseless carriages' pass by before answering.

"Why did you chose to spare us?"

Matteo glanced at her before looking away back to the garden.

"Because you are not responsible, directly nor even indirectly, for the invasion of our ally, princess. And judging by your personality that your mentor told us, you're the 'least evil' in the Saderan Empire."

"I see, and he told you everything about our world and the Empire in exchange for getting his freedom..." Pina clenched her fists, she can't believe her mentor would betray the Empire like that. But, she can't do anything about it. "But it doesn't excuse us from being taken as prisoner, or at least as a hostage."

"Fully aware, your majesty. As much as I hate to say this so bluntly but, you aren't... Worth as much to us..." Pina frowned at that, recalling her past especially her origins. She is also not as highly regarded by the majority of the senate and other nobles as her brother, the infamous crown prince.

"For now at least." Pina turned her head towards Matteo at that.

'What does he mean by that? It's definitely not slavery considering they didn't take any of those criminals alive...'

Putting down the specific topic to rest, for now, she proceeded to ask a different question.

"Who are you 'U-e-em-F' exactly? And who is this ally that my country have invaded?" Still staring at the garden, Matteo spoke.

"Without getting complicated and spilling any confidential information, you can think the UEMF as a large coalition of various armed forces of various nations, independent and free from all the dirty politics and political control." Matteo pauses when he saw the three certain figures accompanied by Müller leaving the mansion. "This ally of ours, at least to some extent, is a nation called Japan. We're allied with them because the nation of one of our armed forces has a treaty with them; guaranteeing their independence and granting us military bases in their country. They weren't as militaristic as your empire or some nations in my world, but they have a self-defense force that can defend itself."

"Self-defense force?"

"It's like a military, but meant only for the defense of the country. It's a product of their defeat in a war, alongside the dismantling of their colonial empire."

"I see..." Pina paused as she let those words sink in.

'Could that possibly happen to us in the future?... Or could they simply destroy the Saderan Empire and then leave the rest to rot?'

"Now, about helping us, is it really genuine?"

"Yes. That's because, princess–" After paying a lot of attention to the foyer, Matteo turns to Pina. "Wars have been... Very brutal and dehumanizing, and the civilians are the ones who suffered the most. The Second World War showed us that. From that point on, we sought to fight for peace, freedom and status quo."

'No matter how hypocritical the second one is.' Matteo thought to himself.

"Is that why you're here?"

"Yes, we are here to get our people back that your Empire have captured and enslaved, to uphold the treaty with Japan and of course, to get justice and avenge those who died." Pina nodded in understanding despite the first answer. These 'Men in Green' are truly honorable and respectable, just like the Empire back in her early age or even the time it was formed.

Unlike today...

"Sir Matteo, it seems to me that your world is complex and has a lot of ideas that are foreign and unfamiliar to us."

"That is understandable your highness, considering the fact that your world is completely different to ours." Matteo's earpiece buzzes, prompting him to put in back onto his ear. After communicating with the person on the other line, he turned back to the princess.

"Your majesty, my men spotted your friends coming from the north. I suggest calling your other three knights and go to the North Gate. I'll follow you."

Pina nodded and left to find her comrades while Matteo took one glance at the garden before following the princess.

XXXX

Pina and her three cohorts stood as they watched their supposed reinforcements started to arrive from the horizon, leaving a dust trail behind, while being "guarded" by the AEG and the Old Guards.

"Not to offend you, your highness, but it seems they're late to the party." Matteo said softly to the princess. Pina couldn't disagree with him. As the cavalry started to get closer, Pina turned to her adversary before they leave.

"This is where we part ways, Sir Matteo. You and your men have shown incredible power and strength and I thank you for helping us and protecting the Italican people... But remember, the Empire won't give up. We would fight till the end. Next time we meet it'll be in the battlefield." Pina proclaimed to him quietly.

"Of course princess. The UEMF will fight just as hard as your empire, and I'm looking forward into a sword fight with you." Matteo replied softly with likewise confidence. Pina nodded and motioned to her cohorts it is time to leave. As soon as the four knights are meeting with their other compatriots, Matteo gave one final message to the princess.

'Be careful with who you trust, your majesty.' Pina quickly glanced at the source of the voice in her head. That Matteo must be more than an experienced mage to have an ability to communicate without speaking.

"Is something wrong, your highness?" Grey questioned. Pina quickly turned away from Matteo.

"N-nothing. Let's go." Grey nodded and relayed the order to the rest of the group while helping Pina get on a horse.

Matteo watched in silence as the knights rode off, a few gave hostile looks and glances at him and the Germans as they leave. That went out smoothly. Quite disappointing that he didn't have the opportunity to show what a panzer can do...

"Errr, Assistant Elite General Matteo?" The teen turned around surprised to see Martin behind him. "Lieutenant Dash wants you back at the mansion immediately."

"Oh fuck me! Thank you!" The colonel simply stepped aside and saluted as Matteo rushed to the mansion before his girlfriend goes 'mad'.

XXXX

"That took you some long, eh?" Matteo rolled his eyes at Dash's smug face. "Just escorting the princess and her entourage would only take a few minutes I believe."

"Oh shut up and let's just get in. I know both of us just wants to rest." Dash simply kept her smirk at him. Matteo opened the door to the bedroom, revealing a queen-sized bed with two bedside cabinets on its sides, a tall mirror and a wardrobe to the left side of the room, while on the right there is a Victorian-era looking desk and seat as well as double doors connecting to the balcony. And of course there's a golden chandelier in the middle of the room, it's shiny material sparkling with brightness. All were beautifully and elegantly designed for members of the nobility.

It was a very generous and kind offer from the count to let them sleep in a master's bedroom for a while, Matteo thought as he yawned. But this feeling of dozy would be gone in just a minute and replaced with something else.

"Oh wow..." Dash gaped at exquisiteness of the furniture while Matteo whistled as he observed the room. Unsurprisingly, the lady-killer walks towards the bed first while Dash turned her attention at the desk.

"Hey, this desk perfectly suits bookworms like you." Dash commented as she examined the furniture. From across the room, Matteo mimicked her words sarcastically, loud enough for her to hear, giggling in response.

"Very funny Dash... Harharhar..."

While Matteo is busy "checking out" the bed, Dash turned to the balcony, opening the doors simultaneously and letting in breezy wind which gently blows the curtains.

"Looks quite similar to the layout of our own room, right Matteo?" She asked out aloud while looking over the mansion's garden. Unfortunately, she didn't get an answer from him.

"Hey, are you lis–" She stopped halfway through when she saw Matteo carefully shaking the bed.

"What? Sorry, I was busy checking if it makes a lotta noise, ya know." The AEG responded casually, with a grin.

After that last sentence, the two made an eye contact and in a blink of an eye, someone is tackled onto the bed, followed by sounds of clothes being removed hastily and chuckles and giggles of two horny individuals.

This is gonna be a very messy room.

Fort Davis, Office of the Elite General

Flipping the page, Davis drank his fifth cup of coffee as he read through a compilation of reports pertaining to housing, economy, health care, education, national budget, budgets of every department and many, many other issues, in the American Union State. He enjoyed reading, from the books by fellow officers, both retired and in service, to alternate history books related to military and warfare like the ones written by Harry Turtledove. He can thank Matteo for recommending reading the former. He enjoyed reading so much that when reading the first reports regarding the said problems in the AUS he simply slammed his head on the desk, frustrated with the all information he have received. He never knew the real situation America was in. But of course, he knew who were the ones at fault, and thankfully, the ruling party, the opposition and the latter's... Special supporters and donors, are gone. Except for a few specific individuals who might be potentially useful.

And now, the country is slowly recovering and changing on certain aspects or sectors despite the last year's purge which affected the nation on all sectors especially economically for certain reasons, but it was worth it for the sake of America. The gradual reduction of military spending is going smoothly, his United Defense company is slowly switching their focus from military needs to civilian despite Davis (and especially his brother who was the temporary CEO of the company before the creation of UEMF) being linked in the military-industrial complex during the Cold War, rework of current housing sectors is being worked upon, universal healthcare program is being made in secret but would not be the main focus for now, and finally the reconciliation with South American countries is showing good success.

Davis cannot believe, that it has to be him, to forcibly fix everything.

'Smedley Butler was right on that thing, and I went to change the company.' Davis thought to himself, remembering that veteran despite their political differences, with Davis being apolitical, which is up for debate on whether to believe that or not and Butler being a socialist. Butler was a great soldier, just like him, but just like most soldiers, they were just pawns by the dirty, greedy bureaucrats and politicians and other fucktards for their business or whatever the fuck for.

As he scanned through the papers, someone knocked on the door.

"Enter." An officer enters and salutes with a special folder marked with words 'important' and 'classified'.

"Elite General Davis, Dr. Johnny sent you an important report. He said it is urgent and... 'An amazing discovery'..."

"I... See... Just leave it on the desk and... I'll read it..." The officer did as he told before saluting and exiting the room. Davis quickly scanned the rest of the AUS report before moving to the folder the scientist had sent.

"This better be worth my time..." He grumbled, begrudgingly opening the folder. But as soon as he read the title, 'The Formation of Interdimensional Portals in the New World', he knew this is gonna be something made by his brother while high on drugs or shrooms or whatever God knows.

Reading through the details of the documents, it seems that his brother and his *science team of mostly nerds have discovered that the portals or 'Gate' structures, in this world, are made by the gods and goddesses.

'What is this? Some Greek mythology crap?'

As he continued to reluctantly read, not only that these gods truly exists, there are also their apostles, who function as their representatives of their respective god to the mortal beings of this world.

Sounds like something the religious figures of Earth would definitely like to hear.

"Another information that shall not be released nor is very important..." Davis immediately ceased reading the document further and placed it on a file holder labeled 'Miscellaneous Bullshit' alongside other documents pertaining to the culture and religion in this New World. Strangely, files regarding magic is on a separate file holder.

Grabbing the telephone to his left, he dialed his brother to give him a short, kind message.

"Hello, this is Dr. Johnny Davis. Who am I speaking to?"

"Hey, I have something to tell you."

"Oh hello brother, what is it?"

"Fuck you." Davis slammed the handset back down and went on to continue reading the AUS report, leaving the scientist on the other line completely confused.

They can hardly be considered as brothers due to lack of friendly exchanges caused by their difference of work and with Davis focused on his already exemplary and terrific military career.

And then, an officer rushed into his office. What fucking now?!

"General, come to the comms and control room. We have a situation outside of Checkpoint Zulu."

"Oh great, another incident out there... Yes I'm coming." Davis said unenthusiastically as he put on his cap, following the officer to the said room.

"Who am I speaking to? What's the problem out there?"

"Lieutenant Colonel Mccann sir. There is a large crowd of Japanese nationalists protesting outside of Checkpoint Zulu." Davis silently cursed, clenching his fists tightly. Those unapologetic scumbags. They are really asking for a goddamn second occupation.

"What's your sitrep?"

"The local police have yet to arrive, the demonstrators are not doing anything provocative." Well until those people started throwing at the soldiers with anything they had, from the usual rocks to firebombs.

"Good, good. Just stay put for now, I'll inform the AEG. If the fascists start agitating, use tear gas only to disperse them. Wait for the local police to disperse them. Until then, don't do anything drastic, am I clear?"

"Yes sir."

"Good, Overlord out." With the communication to the checkpoint ended and currently switching to the AEG, Davis sat down on a chair given to him next to Jackson.

"It's a good thing Hazama isn't in here to hear this... Damn those people..." The old guard said to the South African admiral.

"Agreed. It'll be awkward or unsettling." The screen turns on with the face of someone who is definitely not the person they were supposed to talk with.

"Overlord this is Iron Cheetah, uhh zee two are very busy at zee moment because... You know..." Davis stared at him with a 'wtf' and 'I can't believe this' expression.

"...Fucking seriously man?" Heinz simply shrugged off, and Davis groaned. The answer is so obvious. The two are horny as usual.

"Anyvays, is zere somezing you need of assistance?" The field marshal questioned.

"Well we have Japanese nationalists or ultranationalists, protesting outside of Checkpoint Yankee and I was going to ask Matteo's opinion on the matter."

"His opinion? You're asking an opinion, of a chief of a secret police, on how to deal with protests? Especially regarding them?" Heinz sarcastically questioned. Davis rolled his eyes in response.

"If I were you, just let zem be. If zey act passively, hurray, we don't have to waste bullets. If zey act hostile, farewell zen, taste zee power of machine guns." Heinz stated rather bluntly with his eyes looking tired. Davis chuckles at him.

"Goddamn, you are slowly influenced by him, eh?" Heinz simply shrugged.

"You can say zat. Anyway, is zat all? Feeling dozy and I haven't sleep for hours, sheisse. And also the vehicles you added? They weren't used."

"Yeah yeah, thanks. Don't worry, they'll see them in action soon enough. Get some rest Heinz. You look like shit." The field marshal muttered a swear at Davis before cutting off communications and everyone in the room returns to usual activities.

"Guess we'll now prepare the next operation to the south-east." Jackson whistled as he stood up. Davis nodded slightly.

"Yes, but it'll take some long-ass time to build the second base and then prepare the units for the operation. The engineers would be brought to Italica as soon as Matteo kicked the knights out of the town." Davis explained, pulling out a drag and lightening it. "For now, we'll let the Saderans have some breathing room and continue aerial reconnaissance operations while the satellite is being prepared for launch."

Jackson nodded before exiting the room, leaving Davis with the officers and operators of the IMCHS.

1217 Hours, Second Master Bedroom

"The 108th Commando Company is back on their original mission already, yes, I didn't forget that, how could I forget such thing?... Oh of courseee, she and her knights are out of Italica, you can send in those engineers now. I've also made sure that the princess won't left some of her soldiers behind to watch our moves in here. Hmm, some Japanese UltraNats protested earlier back at the other side while I was busy? How did it went? Ah I see, at least it didn't result in guns blazing or even at least some beatings, good thing the Japanese police are doing more to weaken them nowadays. Oooh shut up about it, at least I ain't a virgin. Is that all? Alright, bye." Matteo placed down his earpiece on the bedside table and yawned, stretching his arms up.

'Damn, I'm hungry now.' The AEG turned behind him to see Dash starting to wake up from her slumber.

"Hey, when is the Operation Reaper again?" She asked from underneath the sheets. Matteo, being Matteo, quickly rejoined her under the sheets before answering, resulting in Dash raising her eyebrows at him.

"Soon, just a few more days. The teams just have to be airlifted to their target locations." Matteo replied, touching her chin and staring at her eyes directly. Dash, just to annoy him, grinds her body against him while returning the stare.

"Sorry, I kinda forgot when. And I thought you were hungry? Unlessss, you're that hungry~." Dash teased him, grinding her nether area against his growing manhood. Matteo groaned and hissed, his urges returning.

"Sooo, just a quickie?" Dash asked, smirking naughtily at his horny face. Matteo smirked back, but before he could do anything, someone knocked on the door.

"Herr Matteo and Herr Dasb? The lunch is ready, the count is waiting for you downstairs."

Dash tried her best not to laugh as Matteo looked at the door with eyes twitching in absolute annoyance.

What a sudden turn off.

"We're going major! Just give us a few minutes." Müller left the couple in silence.

"Guess there's no quickie then~?" Dash said with a flirty tone, still grinding against him. Matteo simply groaned and laid on her chest, pouting.

Quite an adorable but strange sight considering who the assistant elite general is.

"Later, unless you wanted to." The AEG replied, looking at her with puppy eyes. Giggling at his shenanigan, Dash smiled, caresses his cheek and gave a certain gesture.

"Why not~?" She asked, pushing him to his back, tracing her finger from his chest while slowly crawling backwards until her finger and her eyes met his groin. "Don't you want your little brother to have some entertainment?"

"Oh shut up Nana..." Matteo muttered. Dash playfully poke his nose in response before proceeding to treat the phallus like an ice cream.

Maybe a blowjob would suffice, for now at least.

Guess senior highschool, HOI4 and lazyness all teamed up and consumed me then.

God I hate math.

Anyways, not really much action happened, and I don't know what to think of the battle. Because of that, I'm posting this with Interlude chapter, possibly another one.

Also didn't add the execution scene or even where the bandits just get riddled with hot lead. Don't know where to put it other than on an omake.

Stay safe.

Saderians or Saderans?

Both.

I'll post this and Interlude chapter/s at the same time, after that I'll rework the earlier chapters.

Glossary

Spiked wooden poles - Cheval de frise, used most of the time against cavalry.

MH-47K - The Chinook for the Elemental Army with sliding doors on it's two sides. Just like most military equipment and aircraft of the said army, it is painted blue. Olympic blue to be exact.

Elemental Army - I've already explained this one, though poorly, so I'll do it again. This is considered as the elite of the regulars, though it is has a separate branch, just like the USMP. All military hardware are of course, bound to be very expensive and advanced, so its size is small, but not the smallest in the entirety of the UEMF. It has the army and the air force. Doesn't have a navy for obvious reasons.

Psyops - Short for psychological operations.

RAHL-66 - The result of an advanced helicopter program for the Elemental Army's Air Force. Light and agile. Has stealth capabilities.

Jetpack - Unlike what it supposed to look like, it looks like a boxy backpack that as lightly armored as Elemental Army's infantry body armor.

Science team - Hahaha Project Melody reference here.

Omake I.I

USOCOM Training Grounds, Fort Davis

"Are you the new guy?" An officer with large moustache asked rather grumpily.

"I'm sir." The man replied, with tiny hint of nervousness mixed with enthusiasm.

"A Scot eh?" The officer questioned. "I heard they fight hard, so I expected that you'll be one of them, eh?" The new recruit nodded. The officer pointed at the training course behind him.

"Alright, before you introduce yourself, you have to go through the course as fast as you can while also doing as few mistakes as possible. Got it?" Again, the Scotsman nodded with eagerness.

"Climb the tower and grab the pistol and the SMG there as well as flash grenades. As soon as you rappel down the rope, the timer starts. Now go and show me you're worthy of getting into the SAS!" The officer yelled.

"Yessir!" A soldier walks up behind the Scotsman and said.

"Don't disappoint me, Soap."

"You worry a lot, Gaz."

"Oh piss off you cunt."
