Guy wrote more and more messages.
He didn't care that they didn't make sense, he just had to get Rissa to respond. Yes, she hated him, but she promised she'd help him when they attack. And now they were banging on his door.
-It's locked,- he tried, but even he didn't believe in that. They were gonna come in here. Okay, okay, focus. If Rissa doesn't come, he has to fight them alone. All it takes is one bite, and they're dead. But if he bites them, they, realising they'll die, will get really mad and attack him.
Okay, what if he talks to them? Maybe they'll listen, understand that he only killed Derek, because he tried to kill Rissa, so it's not exactly his fault, so they'll forgive him and become his new friends.
Either this sounded too ridiculous even to Guy, or he just spent way too much time with Rissa.
Probably the second.
The vampires kept banging. Oh, this was his mom's apartment. If they break the door, she's gonna be so mad at him… Wait, focus, there's a group of people trying to kill him right now, who cares about the door?
Mommy. Mommy cares about the door.
But there was no time to think about that, because that's when the door was finally broken. It fell to the floor, a vampire he's never seen before (to be fair, he's only ever seen 2 vampires) lay on top of it. He got up.
-Hey there, little idiot,- the vampire said.
-I'm Guy,- Guy said. -It's not really nice to meet you…
-Carter,- the vampire, Carter, told him.
-Thank you,- Guy was scared. More scared than when he found out about vampires. More scared than when he had to bite Rissa's mom to complete the transition. More scared than when he killed Derek. More scared than when he met his dad. More scared than when he turned into a werewolf. More scared than when he kissed Rissa.
-You're very welcome, little idiot.
Carter was walking towards him. Guy walked back.
-Stop!- he suddenly yelled. Carter stopped, confused.
-What?
-This is Mommy's apartment! Wanna fight? Wanna kill me? Do it outside!
-Alright,- Carter smiled. Guy noticed that it was less of a smile and more of an evil grin. And soon found himself flying out the window. He landed on his back. Carter landed on his feet next to Guy.
He had to fight. He couldn't let him kill him. He broke Mommy's door. And her window. And her wall. And he wasn't gonna let him break Mommy's son.
-Carter?- he asked.
-Yes?- said the vampire standing over him.
-I'm sorry for this.
With that, he pulled on the vampire's ankle, making him fall to the ground. After that he got up, jumped onto him and sunk his teeth into his neck. He felt his werewolf venom activate. He heard Carter scream as he ripped his heart out.
Guy stood up, looking at the desiccating man. Was this really all of it?
Nope, it wasn't.
He looked around. 17 vampires surrounded him. All of then looked angry. This was bad. Really bad.
He knew he had to kill them.
He had to kill them, or they'll kill him.
But it felt wrong.
Killing so many people? Even if they were technically all already dead?
The circle of vampires was getting tighter and tighter, they were all around him. Oh, no. Oh, no. Oh, no.
Guy started panicking.
And then he ripped someone's head off. It was a girl, she had blond hair and a pixie cut. And he just killed her.
Some of the vampires took a step back. They didn't expect that.
Suddenly, one of them lunged at Guy. He saw her, but had no time to hide or run. She was determined. He closed his eyes and got ready for death. Thought of a unicorn. And a puppy. And a puppy with a horn. And Rissa. And Rissa playing with the puppy with the horn. And…
Death was kinda slow.
He opened his eyes. The vampire who tried to attack him was on the ground, her face buried in her hands. And on the ground…
-Dad,- Guy started crying. Lucas was dying. He could see that vampire blood wouldn't help. It was too late.
-Guy,- Lucas smiled.
-No… NO!- Strawberry cried. -No, no, no! You were dead!
-I wasn't…- Lucas whispered. -You knew that, Strawberry. You would've known if I was dead. You left me alive. On purpose.
-I would've never done this, Lucas,- she cried. -I love you.
Guy couldn't believe this. She just killed his dad, and now she was telling him that she loved him?! Oh… Oh… Oh, that little…
He punched through her chest and ripped her heart out, in tears.
Then looked at Lucas. He was smiling.
-Guillaume,- he whispered. -Tell your mother… never to… underestimate… a moment…
His eyes closed. Lucas was dead.
