Syndicate Enforcers & Nexus Apex
The year is 3,019 CE. It has been months of training with the best, the worse, the greatest, and the horrible. For the last six months, the two superpowers have managed this training operation in hopes of bringing peace to Heleus after two hundred years of battle and death. No one didn't believe this would be possible, given the history of the Nexus Council and Syndicate Warlords. Yet even with all the bad blood between the two giants, things are now going to be changed for the best. The ship exits from its hyper jump of Heleus and arrives at the destination; the remaining travel time is two hours before the ship, code named Harmony, lands on TOS-51. TOS-51 was made into a safe planet for the Apex and Enforcer teams to train at; the planet was originally named Mendradym due to the scourge destroying its atmosphere. After two hundreds went by, both superpowers were quick to land on it for future expansion. The planet has mostly covered with hill and grass landscape all around the area. During the long endurance of training and cooperation, a new group of fighters called the Alliance would represent both sides of the Syndicate and Nexus teams whenever problems occur.
Some people hope for the chance that leaders will be chosen among them; however, many people were still betting that the alliance operation is a cover to create a second power to support one side. Inside the ship, everyone is busy with their equipment. From checking armor to adjusting guns, everyone that is involve in this operation is either a new trainee for the Nexus Apex or a newcomer to the Syndicate Enforcers. Though there are numerous people aboard Harmony, many of them are not affiliated with the Syndicate or Nexus teams. Among them, one man would change the course of history and become something greater.
He moves through the people and goes to his locker; he is anxious to retrieve his gear and handgun for the final stage of training. Though his reputation is not as strong as a Path Finder or even a Specter, he made his name known on the streets of Eos in the Prodromos area. From the moment he took a gun in his hand and shot at raiders, he was ready to do whatever it takes to protect those that loved him and needed safety. He walks by others that ignore him and keep talking about how the rest of the training will go. After a few minutes of walking, he arrives at his locker with his last name present on it. Locker number 51836 Johnson is what he sees in front of him; he sighs softly and hopes that this alliance of the two superpowers will go as smoothly as it should. He opens the locker and finds the standard training gear inside; there is a hard-plated vest, pistol, leg pads, arm pads, shoulder pads, and helmet. Everything he needs is provided by the powers in charge, but this whole thing feels a bit too easy right now. With no other time to think, Mr. Johnson closes the door and sees him standing as he leans on the locker. He wears the Syndicate gear with pride and smiles with confidence; he carries the shotgun on his hip and looks at Johnson with some admiration.
The man says, "I hope you are ready to prove yourself to us, new guy. The Syndicate doesn't tolerate any weakness and neither do I. If this isn't your kind of career, then you should just stay on the ship and work on keeping everything in perfect condition; they can always use a new repair man. But, if you are good, then the Enforcer teams are meant for you to join. We need strong people that will stand against the Nexus and APEX puppets. I believe you are the one who can lead us in the right direction."
Before another word is spoken, a woman walks over. They see her wearing Apex attire with the obvious patches of a recruit showing on her gear. She folds her arms across her chest and shakes her head in disappointment. Her rifle hangs on her left shoulder; it is no surprise to her that someone from the Syndicate is approaching a new person and hopes to convert them.
The woman says, "I hope that is not the Enforcer pick up line for new people joining. You are out of line, Chris Hartway. How about you stand down and let the newcomer see that the Nexus has the right idea for Heleus? And trust me, Apex fights for a worthy cause unlike the Syndicate and its Enforcer teams."
Chris turns to her and replies, "Here she comes! It is the puppet Laura Lockwood of the Nexus, representing the Apex puppeteers! Watch her dance before her strings are cut!"
The commotion causes a few eyes to turn and look in their direction. Everyone knows that the issues between the leaders is not resolved, but they are anxious to see a small brawl before they start.
Laura coldly says, "You watch your damn mouth. This guy here knows that Nexus and Apex will come out on top. And if he comes out on top, I'll be right there with him."
Chris looks to Johnson, "Who do you think will come out on top? Right now, I see us taking the Syndicate and Enforcer teams up in the right direction, but which side do you believe is best for Heleus?"
A. Paragon Choice: An Alliance of Two.
B. Neutral Choice: Nexus Apex.
C. Renegade Choice: Syndicate Enforcer.
Johnson answers, "The funding of this project is to bring us closer together and solidify a new power between the Nexus and Syndicate or create an everlasting peace. Only when the time is right will a new leader be chosen among the people to lead Heleus in a direction that will benefit everyone."
As everyone else moves to the side, a Nexus and Syndicate representative comes to the center of the problem. A male turian and an asari stand face to face with everyone waiting to hear what comes next; the male turian Atrois is disappointed, and the asari Valisia is highly annoyed.
Atrois interrupts, "That is the only answer I expect to hear from now on when it comes to this training op. We are here to be the best for the future; this is not the time to be at each other's throats for another ten years."
Chris chuckles and replies, "Oh, here we go again. A new puppet of the Nexus is here to stand in for their masters. How about you step back, Apex prick? I answer only to my bosses of the Syndicate."
Valisia steps to Chris, "If I hear one more word from your mouth, then consider yourself on clean up duty and off the list for the Enforcers. You are in this alliance too, and when you behave like a fool, then it makes us look bad. And you will be proving yourself worthy under his supervision. So, if you fail him, then don't come to me."
Laura giggles and asks, "Are you sure you are not a Syndicate member? You may have chosen the wrong side."
Atrois looks to Laura, "Be mindful of your own words, Laura. If I hear any more talk of taking sides from you, then you will join Chris on clean-up duty before you can fire your weapon. And you will be having Valisia as your watcher for today too. I expect you to give one hundred percent or you are off the team."
Valisia and Atrois announce, "All of you get ready and report to the main hall for the meeting. We land in three hours on TOS-51."
With the issue no longer a problem, Laura and Chris leave for the main hall as Johnson continues to ready his mind for training. After he equips his last piece of armor and weapon on properly, a new face joins him by his locker. Like him, he is anxious to prove his worth to either side.
He says, "That was impressive. Oh, my name is Peter. But can you believe how serious that was? I was always told how bad the Syndicate and Nexus is, but that was raw. I am still shocked that Valisia and Atrois kept everything calm. I would hate for those two to watch what I do."
A. Paragon Choice: They know what to do.
B. Neutral Choice: Nexus leaders know how to train.
C. Renegade Choice: Syndicate doesn't mess around.
Johnson answers, "The leadership of both parties know who to put in charge of this operation; they are not going to pick anyone that doesn't believe in creating a brighter future."
Peter replies, "Yeah. I do hope this all works out. But I wonder who our watcher is going to be. Atrois seems ok, but he is not playing around. Valisia looks nice, but I think she will be hard on us. We better hurry up and get to the main hall for the meeting. If we are late, then they won't give up any minor marks on our training."
Johnson and Peter walk down the hallway to see many new recruits for both parties; they didn't know who would take which side during the training. A few people study and look at devices. Some open supply crates to check for materials and other gear. As they stop by a few groups, they hear people speak of the future for either the Syndicate or the Nexus. They come around the corner and see a group both parties ready to exchange words and fists.
An Apex soldier says, "If you keep your eyes open, you may learn something."
An Enforcer agent replies, "It is you that needs to learn how things are done here."
A. Paragon Interrupts: We all need to work together.
B. Neutral Interrupts: Apex has a point.
C. Renegade Interrupts: Enforcer knows what is best.
Johnson Interrupts, "Both of you need to stand down and get along. We are here to benefit each other."
Peter agrees with Johnson only to see both groups turn to him; they seem eager and anxious to smack the hell out of Johnson for sticking his noise in their business. Instead of getting mad, both speakers nod at him and leave for the main hall. Everyone starts going to the main hall to hear the speeches from Valisia and Atrois. Peter and Johnson meet with another new face along the way; she stands in the back away from others and has no symbols on her from either side. Peter calls her over to them.
He says, "It is nice to meet a fellow recruit that is not affiliated with the Nexus or the Syndicate. I am Peter. Who are you?"
She answers, "I am Claire. Right now, I don't know which side is worse. The Nexus has been around and always stood for what is right; however, these last few years made me question them and their history."
Peter asks, "What about the Syndicate? You think they are the right organization?"
Claire replies, "Now, those guys seem like they are doing what's right for everyone, but too many people don't trust them. Who are they to tell everyone that they are fighting for us? They do things just like the Nexus does. Both sides have the best technology and resources on their main world, and they have at least two places where they keep their army at. I don't know which side to pick."
A. Paragon Choice: We will do what's right.
B. Neutral Choice: Nexus is perfect.
C. Renegade Choice: Syndicate is strong.
Johnson says, "Both sides have the good and bad moments, but it will come down to one person to set things right. I see peace being the goal."
Claire and Peter are impressed with Johnson's view on both government bodies; he recognizes how important it is to ensure peace than look for ways to downsize either side. It is rare for some to see that kind of character. As they stop their chatting, two familiar faces take to the main stage. On the left side, Atrois is ready with Chris looking annoyed to be next to him. On the right, Valisia stands at ease with Laura watching her closely.
Atrois says, "We are only two hours away from TOS-51. Once we arrive, all of you will be divided into teams. Most of this training op is to see how well you can perform in firefighting situations and non-combative problems. Many of you want to join a side, but that is not why we are here. This operation is to see who is worthy among you to stand next to the leaders of the Nexus and Syndicate. As of right now, no one here is a member of the Apex or Enforcer teams. You are all an alliance member of the Heleus cluster. You stand for Heleus, you fight for Heleus, and you protect Heleus."
As Johnson stands there listening to the speech, he recalls his moment when the raiders attacked his home on Eos. Not once did the Nexus or Syndicate send help to reinforce them when people were dying. Sure, Johnson was from the Sovereign Nation Advent and was told much about both sides; however, he sees two superpowers unable to make life better for anyone. He returns his focus back to the second speech as Valisia finishes the meeting.
Valisia says, "Those that have biotic powers will be watched closely by me. Those with computer skills will be judged by Atrois. And since you all know how to shoot the gun you have, we both will save the shooting range for last. As an alliance member of Harmony, we expect the best and only want those who want more than just a title. We are approaching the LZ soon. Take the time and decide who you want…"
Kaboom! Blaam! Johnson and everyone stagger to the right, falling over. He looks up to see everyone looking around. Just like that, the ship feels another strong impact slam into the side. Everyone quickly gets up and hears their squad leaders call the ship operators; the words they broadcast on the speakers: "Enemy Intruders!". Everyone takes out their guns and start rushing down halls to fight the enemy. To everyone's surprise, they didn't expect their enemy to be the kett. As everyone separates and go to join a side, only Johnson stays with his friends. They move through the ship and see many groups dead from the ambush. As they gun down the kett, there is a second message on the speakers.
The announcement to everyone: "All members must evacuate Harmony. Report to the lower levels and board the shuttles for immediate escape."
Claire disagrees, "We can't leave. We should stay and fight the kett."
Peter interrupts, "No, we should get as many people as we can off the ship."
They both fire down the hallway and eliminate more kett.
A. Paragon Choice: We must get off.
B. Neutral Choice: Help others get off.
C. Renegade Choice: Kill the kett.
Johnson says, "We need to get off Harmony before we are all dead."
Claire and Peter hate the idea of leaving the ship, but they have their orders from those in charge. They move through the ship and keep firing at Kett while saving who they can. The alarms scream constantly as everyone tries to stay alive and move to the lower levels. Johnson, Peter, and Claire make it safely to the shuttle bay area. Many shuttles are burning, destroyed and trying to get out. Kett fighters throw grenades and fire new weapons at every group of they see trying to get out.
A. Paragon Interrupt: Shoot a fuel rod (Kill kett warriors)
B. Neutral Interrupt: Rush to the shuttle (See allies die)
C. Renegade Interrupt: Stay and fight (Die from gunfire)
Johnson fires at a fuel rod and manages to kill a group of kett chosen. The result allows five shuttles to get out. After gunning down more kett and moving to the shuttle, Johnson and his team step aboard with some worry on their mind.
Peter says, "We should leave the ship and engage the enemy."
Claire replies, "It is better for us to fly out and hide from the fighting."
The pilot looks at them, "I am only taking one order from the squad leader. So far, neither of you are in charge."
A. Paragon Choice: Fly to safety and regroup.
B. Neutral Choice: Leave and hide.
C. Renegade Choice: Fly out and engage the enemy.
Johnson says, "Fly the shuttle out and get us to safety. We are no good to anyone if we die trying to fight. We can gather together once we are safe."
The pilot agrees, "They should have included this in our training. I don't like the idea of having to die before I can have a drink. And the name is Jim Godspell."
As the shuttle rises, an explosion occurs from within Harmony. Things have gotten worse, and they must get away. The shuttle flies out and away from the explosions in the sky. They look out the shuttle window to see it. The kett ship is massive and dangerous as it fires at Harmony. Claire, Jim, Peter, and Johnson are stunt that the kett are back after two hundred years. As Jim dodges the blast in the sky, everyone prays that others will make it to safety too. Once they are away from the battle, the shuttle lands on the ground in a small, enclosed area. There are a few trees and only one way inside. The four take a moment to accept the fact that the kett are back.
Peter sighs and throws down his gun in frustration, "I can't believe this. Why are the kett back? I thought they were all dead."
Jim answers, "Well, it looks like we are not going anywhere right now. I am getting readings across the area from other shuttles. I'll stay here and monitor the frequency while you go and look for them."
Claire looks at Jim and replies, "Are you stupid, Jim? We need to stay here and wait until things quiet down. If we go looking for trouble, then the kett will find us."
A. Paragon Choice: We search and rescue anyone left.
B. Neutral Choice: We keep ourselves hidden and move out later.
C. Renegade Choice: We don't save anyone.
Johnson says, "Jim will stay here and send us information on the shuttle trackers. Let's get out there and find any survivors from Harmony."
Claire and Peter grumble at the idea, but they go search for anyone left. They stock up on ammo and move out into the land. Jim provides them with the first location; they arrive to see no one is around, but they do eliminate more kett fighters. As they advance through the training zone of TOS-51, they discover a few people in hiding. Claire sends them back to the shuttle to rest and recover. After a while of traveling, the trio come to one of the training zones. A few cottages are nearby with staging platforms in the area. The kett seem to be searching for anyone. Claire and Peter agree to catch them off guard, but Johnson looks at the area carefully.
He orders Claire to take her position by the wall and Peter hides by a building. Once they are ready, they gun down the kett with ease. Once the enemy is down, a few more survivors come out into the open. They are shocked themselves to see the kett are here on TOS-51.
One survivor named Ken says, "Is this real? Did the kett come back?"
Claire answers, "Yes, they are real and here. The kett are back trying to kill us all."
A second survivor named Rick shouts, "This is it. We are doomed. The kett will kill us all."
Peter shouts, "Hey, shut up! We don't need that kind of issue right now."
A. Paragon Question: What are you doing here?
B. Neutral Question: What is going on?
C. Renegade Question: Can you all fight?
Johnson asks, "What are you all doing here?"
Ken answers, "We were trying to get things ready for Harmony, but the kett came here and killed nearly everyone. This area was for training biotic users. The next area is for computer tech experts. The last area may still have survivors since most of the ammo is there."
Peter says, "There is a shuttle not too far from here. You all can get there while we go look for the others."
Ken protests, "No, if we move, they will kill us. We are better off here."
Rick interrupts, "And staying here is a bad idea. Plus, they need to save the others if we want to get out of here alive."
Claire asks, "Is there anything you can tell us?"
Ken shouts, "I just want to live! Who cares about the others?!"
A. Paragon Interruption: Tell us everything, please.
B. Neutral Interruption: We need all that you got.
C. Renegade Interruption: Speak up, or you can die.
Johnson asks, "If there is anything else you can tell us that will help, please tell me now."
Ken calms down and replies, "There is a slight chance the others may be alive over by the gun range zone. Even if you leave now, there is a huge chance the kett have the road well-guarded by now. Going over there is suicide."
Rick steps forward, "They are alive. All they must do is take the dangerous back road, and they can make it to them in time. The kett won't be there, but it won't be easy getting there since the road is messed up. Just be careful if you go down the back road."
Claire looks to Johnson and asks, "Which way should we go? If we take the main road, the kett will slow us down. If we go the back way, it will be quicker and dangerous to walk on the road. I rather we all go as a group than go back to the shuttle."
A. Paragon Choice: Take the back road and send others back. (Save more lives)
B. Neutral Choice: Take the survivors as reinforcements. (Lose some lives)
C. Renegade Choice: Take the main road and leave everyone. (Lose more lives)
Johnson answers, "We will take the back road. Jim, we got more survivors coming to you. Keep the beacon high for them to track."
Ken and the others start making their way to the shuttle while Rick shows them where the back road is at. After he shows them, Rick makes his way to the shuttle with the survivors. The back road barely has any kett watching it, but the terrain is not safe. The back road is next to an edge with only enough room to jog. One slip and no jetpack would save them from the fall. After they eliminate the few kett, the journey is quick with a few close calls of falling over. They make it through the dangerous terrain and discover the gun range has plenty of survivors; Everyone is doing what they can to stop the kett from overrunning them. Atrois is helping at the front lines while Valisia gets biotic users to provide cover. Johnson, Peter, and Claire join them as they provide help where they can.
Atrois says, "I'm glad to see you made it, but we got kett breathing down our neck. And consider training over. I need all of you to help where you can."
Johnson watches the others go to help as he sees Laura and Chris firing at the front not too far from the area. He rushes over and asks them what is going on.
Chris replies, "Well, this is a terrible time you show up. Harmony crashed over there, and everyone didn't make it off. Here we are trying to not get shot at, but things are just great."
Laura ducks down and adds, "In short, the situation is nearly fubar. We still have a chance of getting out of here, but things look hectic. And here comes more kett."
As everyone fires at the oncoming kett forces, the moment feels familiar to Johnson again. He is standing shoulder to shoulder with others as he remembers gunning down raiders. As the kett die off, the warship above flies near the area. To everyone's surprise, kett drop pods land three yards from their position. The situation looks grim, but a plan is being formed between Valisia and Atrois. Everyone prepares for the next wave; Johnson and others listen to a dangerous plan that will require sacrifice.
Valisia says, "We have more people hurt than ready to fight. They must get to safety and wait for reinforcements to show up. I will stay here and hold them off; Atrois will take care of the rest."
Atrois replies, "That is not going to happen. I will stay here and detonate the bomb I made from the supplies. It will be enough to take out the area, but after everyone gets to safety."
A. Paragon Choice: I'll lead the survivors to safety.
B. Neutral Choice: Let Atrois go with us.
C. Renegade Choice: Let Valisia travel with us.
Johnson says, "I'll take the survivors back with us to the shuttle area. It is in a safe location, and we won't be seen."
Atrois and Valisia agree to the plan. In return, they both give Johnson a seal from their uniform. They let everyone know that Johnson is in charge and will lead them to safety. The wounded are carried by any with strength in their arms; those that can fight cover the rear while only a handful remain behind to secure their retreat. As they leave the area, Laura comes to Johnson.
She says, "I don't care what they say. You should not be in charge. These people need a real leader and someone with actual combat experience. I don't know why Atrois or Valisia let you lead, but they made a mistake trusting you."
Chris hears Laura and comes to them, "You may be right about wanting a better leader, but you can't even lead these people. I saw you abandon several non-combative operatives to fight the kett than save their life. Care you explain that?"
A. Paragon Choice: This is not the time.
B. Neutral Choice: They knew who to pick.
C. Renegade Choice: Enough of this.
Johnson says, "We don't have time to argue about them picking me or better commanders. Right now, we need to get these people to safety and wait for help. I just wish the others didn't stay behind."
With his last words given, Johnson helps a bleeding person through the area. Instead of complaining, Chris and Laura help where they can as well. Once they are far away, the last thing they hear is an explosion. Johnson, Laura, Chris and everyone look back to see the results of the blast as smoke and fire rise to the air. There is nothing left to say except Atrois and Valisia are no more; they sacrificed their life to ensure the kett believed everyone is dead. As they turn their sight back to walking, only Johnson looks up to see the kett warship bombard the landscape. Even with no one in the area alive, the kett make sure the landscape is heavily destroyed leaving nothing behind. The survivors hurry to safety while Johnson is not surprised at how lethal the kett are. Two hundred years of being away from Heleus made the kett more vicious than ever. He shakes off the shock and keeps his eyes focused on the ship as it flies above from the area, leaving the planet.
On board the ship, the kett leader looks on with a smile at how powerful the ship is. There is nothing left behind in the crater. Only pieces of metal and dust cover the territory they eviscerated. As the kett operators maneuver the ship from TOS-51, the kett leader comes to another console and contacts his master.
The holoprojector shows Primus and she asks, "What is the status of your task?"
The kett leader answers, "Our warriors are stronger than ever, but the enemy is still able to fight decently after our two hundred years of isolation. I recommend we…"
Primus interrupts, "There is no need to think of any other options. Continue with your tasks and ensure the next set of warriors will be ready, Primosas."
Primosas acknowledges the orders and ends communication. The first wave of kett chosen and anointed proved worthy and clever; however, the new form of kett fighters is mixed with DNA strands from turian and krogan. As Primosas initiates the new orders, the new kett receive their title, rank, and weapons. They are now called: Kett Organus. They would be at the front lines with the anointed and chosen dealing the killing blow to the species of the Heleus cluster.
At the safe zone, everyone helps where they can. Many people went out and found other shuttles safely secure away from any kett search parties. They fly them back to the safe zone. They stock up on ammo, medi-gel, weapons, and even fix up a small cottage for meetings. They manage to setup the emergency beacon, but no one knows how long it was going to be. Johnson sits back for the duration as he hears the mobs of people argue and shout at each other. Chris remains firm that the Nexus should have provided everyone with more weapons and better tech; Laura stays steady on how the Syndicate needs to be more supportive and hold back the number of people they have. Johnson comes from the shuttle only to be put on the spot yet again, thanks Atrois and Valisia making him the current captain of the people.
Chris looks to Johnson, "Admit it, you know that the Nexus isn't the best choice to lead us anywhere. That is the only reason why this training op failed."
Laura steps to Chris, "And I suppose the Syndicate has the best interest for everyone? Stop trying to put the blame on others when even he knows who is at fault."
A. Paragon Choice: Stop this pointless argument.
B. Neutral Choice: The Nexus needs to fix this.
C. Renegade Choice: The Syndicate will help.
Johnson answers, "The training is over. Neither side is to blame. Right now, we need to help each other and keep everyone stable until the rescue ship gets here."
Jim walks over and shouts, "All of you need to take a breather. The decision is final; Valisia and Atrois made Johnson here the new captain. They are gone and dead. Now, pull it together and follow his orders… What are your orders, Johnson?"
A. Paragon Choice: Stay positive.
B. Neutral Choice: Support each other.
C. Renegade Choice: Do what you want.
Johnson replies, "We may have lost our leaders, but we are not dead. So, no one is turning on anyone or blaming anyone for this. We help each other and stay alert in case other kett are out there."
Seeing the wisdom in his words, everyone returns to their duty and keeps alert for any kett that want to surprise them. Johnson checks with Jim on the emergency beacon. It shows that the next ship will be there within four to five hours. With nothing else to do and everyone waiting, Johnson takes a moment to check in with others. One person cries that this operation is a nightmare and will wake up. Another person states that retribution will come for the kett. The people are all upset, frighten, mad, nervous, and alive. Johnson walks over to see Laura checking ammo count; she sighs heavily before punching the side of the shuttle.
Laura says, "I can't believe how things are looking. We went from being trained by professional Apex fighters and Enforcer dogs to nobodies. Ugh, this is not the day I was looking forward to. Oh, sorry Johnson. I didn't mean to go on like a broken record."
Johnson replies, "Hey, this wasn't the day I expected either. It is bad enough the Syndicate and the Nexus don't like each other, but now we got the kett here too. This training operation went from bad to hectic. I just need you ready if things go sideways from here on out."
She nearly gives him proper salute only to remember he was just given the symbols of rank. Johnson hasn't been officially sanctioned by the Nexus or Syndicate to have actual authority; they both laugh and end the conversation there. He leaves Laura checking the ammo and goes to find Chris. He sees the Syndicate member over by the tower, looking into the direction of the blast. As bad as he seems, Chris has shown sides of himself that leave Johnson impressed by how he acts. Chris turns to him with a disgusted look on his face. This has Johnson curious as to what is on his mind.
Chris says, "I nearly did agree with Laura about you being given those symbols of power. You should not have them at all. You are a nobody, an unknown, and most of all, a piece of paper someone throws away. Yet, Atrois and Valisia gave you the right to order us around. So, once again, you need to tell me where you stand at."
Johnson really wants to punch Chris, but he answers, "I stand with the people here as just a man. You can have this damn medal if it is that important to you."
Chris pauses for a while and laughs, "It is alright. I am not one for leading anyone. I am just glad we got to live from that crazy experience. Now, the real problem is can the leaders of the Syndicate believe me when you…I mean when we tell them the kett are back. I got your back on this regardless of what happens."
Johnson doesn't know if he should laugh with Chris or just call him a jerk behind his words of deception. In any case, he is glad to have him supporting his choice. After three hours and some minutes went by, the roar of a large ship comes from the sky during the night. Chris fires the flare while Laura contacts the ship by radio; Johnson informs everyone that help is here. With the situation looking bad, the news of the TOS-51 event will shake everyone to the core. The shuttles fly up to the ship and anything valuable is brought aboard. As fast as they explain what happen, many voice are silent as other people from the Syndicate and Nexus question Johnson, Chris, and Laura about what happen. The TOS-51 operation is a failure and answers must be given.
