'One week.' it was a surprising announcement when they heard it. The campers were going to be given one week off as there had to be a change of plans in the challenge. Something about a fire and possible law suits. Naruto found himself in an unusual situation; he was alone. Out of all the people he happened to stumble upon Izzy looking at some brown contraption. Izzy had changed into some more casual clothes. A white mid-riff bearing top and dark colored cargo camouflage shorts. It fit in the palms of her hand and it glow a bright red with many beeping noises coming from it. ''Izzy was it? Whatcha got there?''

Izzy just smiled. ''Izzy's Sasquatch finder!'' She proudly showed him. ''Izzy built it herself.''

Naruto couldn't help but chuckle and asked, ''...really?''

Izzy eyes lit up. ''Izzy knows Foxy leader. Let's go big-foot hunting tonight.''

Naruto repressed the urge to laugh his ass off. ''No can do. Nuh-uh,'' he waved his hands in front of him. Despite his reluctance the crazy red-head would not take no for an answer and grabbed his wrist.

''Nonsense, hunting is always fun with a friend,'' she urged him, showing a surprising amount of strength. Those emerald eyes of hers flashed with life and mischievousness. ''Please...'' she pleaded. She was utterly determined to get him to come with him.

''Fine,'' he reluctantly agreed. When it came to pretty girls Naruto knew he was rather hopeless. When she cheered, pumping up her free hand he couldn't help but smile. He guess it wouldn't be so bad, he didn't know Izzy all that well so he suppose it would be nice.

They walked together in silence until they got to the tree where she kept hunting supplies. Some time passed and some snares were set up. Izzy seemed to really know her stuff. ''We should have really brought flash lights.'' Naruto noted considering they had already been out there for a few hours and depending on how long this was going to take it would hit dark before they began traveling back. He was pretty sure they walked past that formation of trees three times already. "I'm going to go check the snares."

He began to walk through the forest, dried leaves crunching under his boots. It was slightly chilly outside but he didn't mind. The cold made it easier to concentrate than heat did. Heat made people lazy. He himself never had the time to be lazy as he was always training to become stronger and to better himself. He had to ever since he was a child.

He had spotted a bunny and took a few steps closer, trying to be light on his feet. The blond had taken to making hunting arrows and a bow on his off time. Chef's cooking, while having the essential nutrients needed in a semi-stable diet simply had much to be desired in terms of taste. As such Naruto took to hunting and foraging to gather his own food to save up on money for essential supplies. Between that and the little odd challenges on the job board that earned him cash made the coffer he was building up a potential bargaining tool for future challenges.

Disposing of animal waste.

Most of the campers had either ignore or outright refused the tasks even if meant monetary gain. Out of them the only ones he had actually seen take some challenges from the board were Heather, Owen, and Courtney. Heather was kind of obvious, she was driven girl who either wanted the money for sake of personal greed or to buy from the shop items for pampering.

Owen without a doubt was using the money for snacks which considering his gross and obese form was not a good thing. Courtney on the other hand seemed to be buying a mix of items either food or camping supplies. He had seen her buy sunscreen and insect repellent. If any of the others had bought anything from the store he hadn't noticed.

His thoughts were interrupted when he heard heard rustling in the leaves behind him and wiped around quickly, pulling back the string on his bow that already had an arrow in it to aim at the noise. Letting the arrow fly it pierces the furry creature. Walking over to it and scooping it up Naruto put it in his collecting bag to take care of it later. He had already built a rack a good deal away from the camp site so the little bits of meat he caught could be dry cooked.

"Find anything?" Izzy popped up next to him.

"No, not really." He said noticing she was fiddling with her device. "Anyway let's continue searching." He said as they marched in the direction of one of the island lakes.

It felt like they had been walking for hours by the time they had laid the crystal blue lake ahead of them. They went to the shoreline and Izzy sat at the waters edge. After traveling for so long taking a break to kick back and relaxed was needed. After the brief break the two went back to hunting.

''It was working this morning.'' Izzy mumbled.

Another half hour passed and Naruto groaned boredom over taking him. ''I'm pretty sure the only thing dangerous out here is Bear...and well you.'' he lightly teased.

As the two continue to joke Izzy suddenly let out a roar and did an attacking gesture causing Naruto to stumble back and break out into a fight of laughter. ''Really? What goes through your head at times?''

''A lot of things, fire, captain crunch, eeeeeels.'' she said as she started to sway her body in a pendulous motion and Naruto broke out into even more laughter. Between their jokes and messing around, the two of them suddenly came to a stop at a clearing. ''This feels like,'' she said, kicking off her shoes and feeling the grass between her toes.

''Yeah,'' Naruto agreed. ''So why did you come to me? For Sasquatch hunting I mean? Why not invite someone else?''

The expression on her face changed, becoming more serious; in fact she looked rather sad. Speaking, it wasn't her usual hyperactive tone, but a solemn one filled with pain.

''Because you're the only one that doesn't look at me like I'm some sort of freak or that I'm trying to hurt them.''

''Izzy...'' Naruto mumbled. Now that he thought about he hadn't paid that much attention to her so he wasn't sure how everyone else treated her. All he knew was that she was a little eccentric.

She suddenly shrugged it off, laughing. ''Izzy has to go over her calibrations.'' she said, going back to third person. ''Thanks for joining Izzy foxy leader.'' she said before pressing a peck on his cheek and going on her merry way. Naruto didn't complain and just went back to his cabinet. That morning things were quiet again, for all but fifteen minutes. "Hey, hey Foxy leader."

Izzy was lying on her stomach atop the table, kicking her legs as she looks up at him with expectant eyes. She waited eagerly for a response as the blond continued his meditation. They were the only ones in the cafeteria at the moment, making sense as they were usually the first up.

"Fooxxxy leeader.'' she slowly stretched out the nick name, trying to gain his attention before she began whining like a child. ''Naruto.'' she finally gave in; using his name but Naruto didn't break concentration accept for cracking a smile slightly.

''Yes...?'' he finally relented after hearing a huff of defeat and a growl escaping her lips.

''Izzy wanted to thank you, but you were being rude.''

''Me?'' he asked with a chuckle as a vaguely threatening expression flashed in her beautiful green eyes. ''Well I'm sorry than Izzy. You wanted to thank me right? Now how did you want to thank me?'' Her orange lips, which actually tasted like orange crashed against his, surprise him quite frankly. He had been completely caught off guard by the spontaneous carrot topped girl. After a few moments the kiss broke, Naruto looked away feeling quite flush. ''Not your standard thanks.'' he managed to stumble out. ''Y-You don't screw around with this sort of thing Izzy.'' he wasn't sure what was going on in Izzy's head, but if this was something of one of her games he didn't want to be a part it. He immediately regretted the harsh tone as Izzy's face fell.

''But...but Izzy wanted to kiss you. Really, Izzy did...'' she paused, taking a moment to collect herself. ''I did because you're really nice and I like you. You're fun, smart, and sweet. You like me too don't you?''

''Izzy I...'' he began, an image of a certain girl flashing to his mind. ''I do Izzy but I really don't know you. I'm sorry, I kind of like someone else and...'' he was cut off as Izzy suddenly hugged.

''Izzy understands. Izzy is glad that foxy leader isn't a scumbag. If things won't work out Foxy leader hopes he'll come find Izzy.'' she said, pressing a kiss on his forehead.

Naruto merely smile and nodded, insuring her that he would and that they could still hang around and do things that friends do. Yeah, things just got a little more interesting.
