"No, really, it's great, I love it, it's just... is it me, or does it kind of... lean to the left?"
Nat frowned, tilted her head and stared at her own handiwork - the very definitely lopsided cake with extremely wobbly lettering spelling out 'Happy Birthday Clint' - and she sighed; "I'm really better at Banshay than baking."
It didn't seem to matter when Clint pulled her closer, smiling as he kissed her temple; "Why don't you use your blade-wielding skills to cut me a slice of this thing and we'll pretend it looks as good as it hopefully tastes?"
Note - Banshay is a martial art incorporating bladed weapons.
