There's so much Bucky would rather forget, but not every part of his time as the Winter Soldier was bad - just most of it.
She was the only bright spot - the ballerina, the assassin, the angel, the devil - Natalia was all of the little pieces in his mind, now coming together as one single form at last.
When their eyes meet across the room, he knows she sees it in his expression, and then she smiles and it was all worth it.
