Chapter 21: Arrival on Namek

After six long days of travel, Goku, Krillin, and Bulma finally landed on the lush green planet of Namek. As the ship's hatch opened, the cool, alien air rushed in, and they stepped out onto the grass-covered ground.

"This place is... beautiful," Bulma said, her eyes scanning the blue skies and distant mountains.

Krillin nodded but kept his guard up. "Yeah, but let's not forget why we're here. This planet's Dragon Balls might be our only shot at bringing everyone back."

Goku closed his eyes, feeling the energy of the planet around him. "There are a lot of strong power levels here," he said quietly. "But... there's something else. Something dark."

Bulma quickly set up her communicator and sent a message back to Earth, informing the DEO, Kara, and the others that they had arrived safely on Namek.

"Finally!" Kara's voice came through, a mixture of relief and impatience. "I've been worried sick. How's everything over there?"

"We just landed," Bulma said, smiling. "So far, so good. No sign of trouble yet."

"Good," Kara replied. "Be careful, Goku."

Goku grinned. "I will, Kara. Don't worry."

As the trio began their search for the Dragon Balls, they came across the ruins of a small Namekian village. Houses were reduced to rubble, and scorch marks dotted the ground.

Krillin's face paled. "What happened here?"

"Someone attacked," Goku said grimly, kneeling to examine the debris.

Then, a sudden surge of power made him freeze. It wasn't just one—there were multiple strong power levels up ahead. He signaled Krillin to stay low, and they both concealed their energy as they moved closer.

Hiding behind a rocky outcrop, they saw a horrifying sight.

A small, horned alien hovered effortlessly above the ground, a sickeningly calm expression on his face. Surrounding him were two more imposing figures: a tall, green-haired man with an elegant yet cruel demeanor, and a bulky, pink-skinned brute with a wide, toothy grin. Behind them, several soldiers stood at attention, their armor bearing an unfamiliar emblem.

The Namekians had gathered in defiance. A group of warriors stood at the front, facing the invaders with unwavering resolve. One of them, an elder, clutched a Dragon Ball in his hands.

"Give it to me," the horned alien said, his voice disturbingly soft. "I grow tired of asking."

The elder shook his head. "We will never hand over our sacred artifacts to invaders!"

The brute—Dodoria—laughed. "Wrong answer, old man."

Before he could strike, one of the Namekian warriors lunged forward, delivering a powerful punch to a soldier, sending him crashing into the ground. The others followed suit, swiftly taking down several of the armored invaders.

Krillin's eyes widened. "Whoa... these guys are strong."

"They destroyed their scouters," Goku noted. Indeed, the shattered remains of the enemy's tracking devices lay scattered across the battlefield.

The tall, green-haired man—Zarbon—gritted his teeth. "These pests think they're clever."

But then, with a flick of his wrist, the horned leader unleashed a blast that obliterated one of the Namekian warriors instantly.

Goku clenched his fists. "That's enough."

Krillin's heart pounded. "Goku, wait—!"

Before Krillin could stop him, Goku vanished—a sudden burst of speed sending him straight into the battle.

In an instant, he appeared right in front of Dodoria and delivered a devastating kick to his face. The impact was so fierce that the brute was sent hurtling through the air, crashing violently into the rocky cliffs behind them.

For the first time, silence fell over the battlefield.

Zarbon's eyes widened in shock. "What?!"

The soldiers looked between each other, unsure of what had just happened. Even the horned alien raised an eyebrow, clearly surprised.

Before they could react, Goku grabbed one of the young Namekian children and vanished again, reappearing beside Krillin.

"Come on!" Goku shouted, grabbing Krillin's arm.

With a burst of speed, they escaped before the enemies could recover.

Far away from the battle, Goku and Krillin finally stopped near Bulma's camp. The young Namekian, trembling in their arms, looked up at them with wide eyes.

Bulma rushed over. "What happened?! Who is this?!"

Goku set the child down gently. "We found him in a village that was under attack."

Krillin was still trying to catch his breath. "And Goku just knocked out this huge guy with one kick. It was insane!"

The Namekian boy hesitated before speaking. "My name is... Dende."

Bulma knelt beside him. "Dende, can you tell us who those people were? Why were they attacking your village?"

Dende's eyes filled with tears. "They... they were looking for the Dragon Balls."

Goku frowned. "The same ones we're looking for?"

Dende nodded. "They already took four from other villages. My people tried to stop them, but they were too strong..."

The boy sniffled. "The one who leads them... his name is Frieza."

Goku and Krillin exchanged confused looks. "Frieza?" Krillin repeated.

Not wasting a moment, Goku grabbed the communicator. "Kara, have you ever heard of someone named Frieza?"

For a few seconds, there was silence. Then, Kara's voice came through, quieter than before.

"Frieza?" she repeated, almost in disbelief.

"Kara, what is it?" Goku asked, sensing her hesitation.

Kara's tone was heavy with fear. "Stay away from him, Goku. He's the most dangerous being in the universe."

Goku's expression darkened. "That bad, huh?"

Kara's voice trembled slightly. "Even on Krypton, his name was whispered as a warning. He wasn't the one who destroyed Krypton, but... he could have. If he had wanted to."

As if that wasn't enough, King Kai's voice suddenly rang in Goku's head.

"Goku! I've been trying to reach you!" King Kai's tone was frantic. "Whatever you do, don't go near Frieza!"

Goku closed his eyes. "So you've heard of him too, King Kai?"

"He's a galactic tyrant," King Kai said. "He's destroyed countless planets, wiped out entire species, and ruled through fear. Goku, listen to me—he's far stronger than anything you've ever faced. If you fight him, you'll die!"

Goku clenched his fists. "He's hurting innocent people, King Kai. I can't just sit back and do nothing."

King Kai sighed, his voice filled with despair. "Goku, I know you mean well, but this is different. You can't save everyone if you're dead. Be careful."

Goku looked up at Namek's twin moons, his resolve unwavering.

"This Frieza guy... I don't care how strong he is. If he's hurting people, we have to stop him."
