Hello! It's me again. You all thought I was dead, didn't you?

I know it's been absolutely forever since I last uploaded anything. I haven't had anything in my creative tank in a long time, but I wonder if I might be able to kickstart it again if I just start slowly posting some stuff again and taking my time doing so.

Therefore, this story is not gonna have a lot of drama. Probably some at some point, but definitely not a lot. This is written to try and capture a bunch of warm vibes and small headcanon oneshots, as much as possible. Other than that? No idea where it's quite going to be headed.

I should note that I wanted to integrate this introduction as closely to the canon storyline as I could, so the beginning starts off a little rocky, but we pick up after a while. I wanted it to feel like a path you would've been able to find in-game.

I own no rights to this game, to Scott Cawthon's characters, or Steel Wool Studio's game. Credit goes to them.

Please enjoy and leave a review! :)

Heyo! I've been perusing the internet lately (dangerous, I know), and came across the FNAF: Security Breach game, and some of the fandom therein (equally dangerous, I know XD). Now, I'm practically a stranger to any of the FNAF lore; never played any of the games, barely even seen any of the games played by youtubers really… But from what I've seen, I've managed to pick up bits and pieces of the story. The prologue of this story is gonna try and sum up what I already know of FNAF. I'll be building the story off of everything inside the knowledge I currently have, so if something is wrong or incorrect, please keep in mind that I don't know any better. XD

Mostly, I was inspired by a specific fan-comic that I read. Now, I'm usually pretty terrible at finding what the actual names of comics like these are, but I'll leave a link to the video dub I saw of the comic so you can familiarize yourselves with it if you want to! For those of you who don't feel like watching the video (which, to be fair, is kind of a long endeavor…), the story is basically that all of the animatronics are, well, hacked with malware to try and end Gregory's life as quickly as possible. However, Gregory finds the malware chips that were inserted into most of the animatronics, and removes them, turning them back into very lovable, protective, and sweet animatronics that all begin to look out for Gregory with a passion.

With most of that out of the way (And I know this was a long A/N, sorry 'bout that…) I'll start putting down what I know / what I think I know about the FNAF lore – mainly exclusive to FNAF 1 and FNAF: SB.

What I think I know: - Prologue (YOU DON'T HAVE TO READ ALL THIS UNLESS YOU WANNA KNOW WHERE I'M COMING FROM)

- Starting at the beginning; five children were celebrating a birthday party at Fazbear's Pizzeria, the original location with (garish) white and black checkered-patterns all over the place and animatronics that look sort of like the style of the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man (to me at least). These kids are, one by one, lured into the back by the Purple Guy (aka William Afton, serial killer), killed, and stuffed into the animatronics. Somehow or another, the spirits of the dead children fuse to the animatronics, and hocus pocus alakazam, now the robots are alive and hunt down… basically the nearest adult they can find, namely the security guard.

- William Afton's catchphrase is "I always come back", which feels extremely entitled for a mortal man (especially one who got caught the DAY after murdering the original "five missing children"). Still, we ARE up to, what, FNAF 8 now? So I dunno, maybe he's got something to that. That being said, I have also seen several pieces of art and pictures of some character (who Iassumeto be Burntrap) who looks like a hybrid of some kind, melding flesh to steel in some kind of undead animatronic zombie coagulation of man and metal. That which is animatronic looks like a yellow rabbit, though in extreme disrepair. I know there are many variations of the "-trap" character, including Scraptrap, Springtrap, and Glitchtrap. This story will be primarily focused on using Glitchtrap or Springtrap, rather than Burntrap.

- The original cast of FNAF animatronics included Freddy (duh), Chica, Foxy, and Bonnie, as well as a "Golden Freddy" (Of which I know next to nothing about, only that he/she existed somewhere in FNAF lore). Gabriel, originally the birthday boy when he was still human, was shoved into the Freddy animatronic. Suzie was in Chica, Fritz into Foxy, Jeremy into Bonnie. I also know that all of the animatronics canonically feel very protective of actual children, seeking to save them from becoming Afton's next "targets" at all costs. (Which, to be frankly honest, seems to make the idea of the animatronics chasing Gregory under the influence of malware more plausible as a game theory to me.)

- I've heard fan theories (if they're not based in canon already, anyways) that Montgomery Gator from FNAF: SB was actually the one to attack/kill Bonnie, believing that he'd get his chance in the spotlight having done so. Whether I put stock in that…. Remains to be seen, I suppose. Not sure about it, but it's really the only explanation I've heard so far why Bonnie falls into such a state of disrepair in Security Breach. More of an explanation than the management just randomly deciding to scrap Bonnie, who, if we were talking real-world business sense, was one of the original four mascots whobuilttheir company name of Fazbear Entertainment. Bonnie would've likely been a particularly well-liked character/mascot and therefore likely had a following of people who would've been upset to see him go. Maybe I'm reading too much into that. I dunno. (Edit: Since writing this paragraph, new information has come to light for me, being that it seems just as likely a chance that FNAF SB: Ruin implies that Bonnie actually mentored Monty into becoming an excellent bass player. That kind of shoots down the fan theory of Monty making the attack, and I like him better as a character when he doesn't kill Bonnie, so we won't be going with that. STORY SPOILER AHEAD!- Instead, I think I'll be using the idea that Bonnie got attacked by a prototype version of the virus infecting the main animatronics, "possessed" by the Afton virus, and left for scrap behind the bowling alley. This will be explained at a later point in the story, in further depth) END OF SPOILER

- I have seen many, MANY fan comics and clips of the actual gameplay that show Roxanne Wolf doing not much else than standing in front of her mirror, night after night, repeated a four-line mantra to herself and her otherwise seemingly pitiful self-image. Now, while I may believe in a headcanon that Roxanne does something perhaps similar to a nightly pep-talk, I can't really find it in myself to believe that Roxanne spends night after night, hour after hour, (on a normal night where she isn't randomly hunting down some trespassing child for some reason or another) staring at herself in a mirror and telling herself the same four to five compliments and reassurances forever and ever. In this story, I intend to have Roxanne at least a bit more on the confident side, rather than specifically egotistical and having poor self-confidence. It just… seems to make her better as a character in my eyes, rather than such a cardboard-cutout. Maybe that's just me. (Edit: Turns out, writing Roxy is suspiciously hard for some reason, and I know that I'm not the only one to think so. If you guys can think of any ways I can improve my Roxy, please let me know in a review! :D)

- I know that canonically, Vanny is not really in her right mind when she's hunting Gregory. I forget whether she had a split personality syndrome that made her think she was Afton, or whether Afton was possessing her or not… All I know is that Afton somehow had something to do with how Vanessa turns from responsible night-guard to murderous psycho-bunny in 2.5 seconds flat. I'm fairly sure that the reason was possession, canonically, but I wouldn't bet money on it. (Edit: Since writing this paragraph, I've come to realize that Vannessa was hypnotized by a beta-testing run of the FNAF VR Help Wanted [2?] game by Glitchtrap, which is what turned her into Vanny. This is the reasoning we'll be using in the story.)

- Gregory is the protagonist of FNAF: SB, a kid dressed in a blue striped shirt, khaki shorts, sneakers, and a random bandage on his cheek. Hazel eyes, messy brown hair… yeh, I've seen enough artwork with the kid. In my headcanon, I like to imagine him as being, like… eight? Maybe seven? Eight sounds good enough. I know that Gregory is an orphan, at least based on one of the possible endings of SB, where we see him sleeping in a cardboard box in the alleyway. Thus is partially the basis of my story, since (SPOILERS….?) I want a Family!Animatronics kinda dynamic going on. END OF MAYBE-SPOILERS

- Cassie is the protagonist of FNAF: SB Ruin. Most people tend to agree that she has a far superior relationship to Roxy than anyone else, almost to the level that some people have equated her relationship to Roxy as Gregory's relationship to Freddy. Mama Wolf / Papa Bear vibes going on here. I really like the image, so she may get added into the story as well.

- I've heard that the Fazbear Mega Pizzaplex is absolutely MASSIVE. Not having played the game, I really couldn't say how large it was, so in my headcanon it's, roughly, the same size as a shopping mall or two. Big big shopping place where your wallet go brrrr. It also just makes sense to me that, in addition to various attractions that the mega Pizzaplex has like Bonnie Bowling, Roxanne Raceways, Gator Golf, etc, that the Pizzaplex also has legit shops and stores for things like clothing or merchandise. More than just the one or two dinky little souvenir shops that are placed in odd places in the Pizzaplex.

- In addition to Freddy, Chica, Roxy, and Monty, I also feel like I have a good enough grasp on Sunrise and Moondrop (who preside over the Megaplex's daycare [side note: lights on = Sun, lights off = Death/Moon/Mr. McGrumpywumpuss]) as well. Sun being the extroverted bright and sunny character (pun not intended but appreciated nonetheless), Moon being a more… let's say "reserved" character, since I like him better as a not-randomly psychopathic murder-machine for children who don't immediately fall asleep. I've heard that Gregory gets in trouble with Sun, canonically, for turning out the lights in the daycare and thus turning him into Moon, but it feels to me like Sun wouldn't really keep any long-lasting grudges against a child, particularly since he works in a Daycare that usually watches over multiple small children all at once. I like the idea that Moon is admittedly much more gruff than Sun (I think you'd be hard-pressed to find Sun being "gruff", but maybe that's my headcanon too), but not just outright psychopathic or otherwise dangerous to children.

- While I do know that thereareother locations in the FNAF universe (e.g. FNAF: Sister location), I won't really be referencing any of them (Edit: with the possible exception of adding Reformed!Mangle, Reformed!Ballora, and/or Reformed!Circus Baby somewhere in the story, I dunno yet). In my mind, Security Breach is the one that seems the least… violent, to be perfectly honest. The characters in SB seem much more redeemable and fanonically non-bloodthirsty as other characters, so that's how I'll tell it.

Now for the headcanon stuff:

- In my mental eye, I see Freddy, Monty, and Roxanne all being among the tallest animatronics, standing at roughly ten to eleven feet tall each. I picture Chica as being the shortest among the FNAF: SB main crew, but certainly not to be underestimated. My headcanon Chica stands at roughly nine and a half feet tall. Bonnie and Foxy also stand at ten feet tall each, if they are included in this story at some point.(Edit: Also, I will be using the fanon FNAF: SB imaging for Glamrock Bonnie in my story, where he's wearing pink tiger-stripe overalls with one leg having a sort of cut-off. Foxy will look similar to the provided link. Edit 2: All of the animatronics are going to have more canon heights of about nine feet tall each, I'd say. Still big bots, but maybe not so ridiculously so as before.)

( Glamrock Foxy: Glamrock Foxy Picture)

(Edit 3: I'm not sure who originally made these designs for these glamrock characters, so all credit goes to the original creator[s])

- I like the idea that Vanessa (Note: NOT Vanny) is actually a good person on the inside, but due to some reason or another can't help herself at night and becomes Vanny against her will. She thinks she keeps falling asleep and having these nightmares at her post about hunting children, but she thinks they're just bad dreams constantly, since she doesn't feel in control during those times. (Edit: Since beginning to write this story, I will mention that I have altered several of my views on multiple characters as I learned more about them. When I learned that Vanessa is supposed to have been originally hired to the Fazbear Entertainment as a Beta Tester for a VR game in the Help Wanted series, I came to the realization that she was kinda hypnotized into being Afton's henchwoman. That being said, while I do appreciate the Good!Vanessa comic dubs and AUs, this story will be focused on the Vanessa who has been brainwashed from Glitchtrap)

- Another thing that I like is the idea that among the four main SB animatronics, Freddy plays the role of Papa Bear (Show of hands, anyone surprised? Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?), Chica is as close as Gregory's gonna get to a mother-figure (Sweet Mama Hen), Roxanne is the cool aunt who'll play video games and such with Gregory occasionally, and Monty is the rough and tough manly man sort of uncle-figure, but every now and then he opens up and shows a lovable squishy side too. As for Bonnie and Foxy, they both play the roles of that special type of uncle who are a bit more level-headed, but when left alone for too long they all start sharing the same braincell with Freddy. #Bro_squad)

-SPOILERS While Bonnie is mentioned to some degree, Foxy seems to be even more elusive as to where he's gone off to. That being said, I'm probably going to be making up a bunch of crap about where he gets found at some point, because I really, really like the idea of all of them being together again. Probably more than I should. We'll see how that obsession turns out.END OF SPOILERS

- This is hardly worth mentioning, but I'm going to put this here in case someone is curious. In this version of the story, the animatronics are all out of commission, for the most part, after their "destruction". Rather than get up and moving around, still hunting Gregory, their robotic limbs are really just shot, and they can't really move. I just feel like that's more realistic for what would happen when Monty is almost chopped in half, Roxy gets hit with a go-kart face-first, and Chica is literally crushed in a trash compactor.

- I've done very little research about Michael Afton, who I originally thought was William's younger brother. After finding out that Michael is hisson, not his brother, the dynamic that I had in my head has changed a little bit for this character. I am no avid fan of the FNAF lore, I haven't studied in depth any of these characters, really. For this story, Michael's history with Fazbear Entertainment is that he applies for the Nightguard position in all new FNAF locations that seem to have issues with their animatronics. He does this to try and slowly destroy his father's maniacal legacy as a serial killer through the use of the animatronics, making sure that Glitchtrap can't get out into the world. Whether this is canonical to the actual story I have no idea, but I think it makes for the best reason why Michael applies for Nightguard positions in at least three of the FNAF games, even after undergoing what should've been extreme trauma. Maybe he's just used to it by now.

- I like the interpretation that Sunrise and Moondrop's shared face can show more than one expression; sometimes I forget that they can't move their jaw or mouth whatsoever, so if you see something in the story that says something to that effect, please ignore the lack of attention/accuracy and just enjoy the story for what it is. Similarly, I may have an animatronic "_ sighed", or "_ took a deep breath". While I understand that the robots do not necessarily have human bodily functions the same way a natural human would, I believe that it makes them far more lifelike to include such little details. My reasoning is that Fazbear Entertainment has programmed them to act as naturally as possible under normal circumstances. And besides… maybe they're even something more than that— :)
