Finding Out – Part One
Carmen, Chozen, Amanda and Daniel find out that Silver and Kim made Tory punch a stone dummy from Sam.
Brandon doesn't exist in this story.
Tory slowly made her way back to her house after she had punched the stone dummy at Cobra Kai. She was in so much pain and just wanted to get home. She knew she needed to ice her hand and clean it up so that her mother wouldn't worry about her.
It was nearly 15 minutes later when Tory finally made it back to her house and nearly collapsed against the door, the pain in her hand agonizing now. Tory took a deep breath, pushed herself off the door, quickly made her way to the freezer and grabbed an ice pack. She wrapped it in a dish towel and pressed it to her hand, hissing as it made contact with her broken knuckles. Tears formed in her eyes, and she sniffled. Everything was falling apart. Tory walked to her mom's room and peeked in, making sure she was okay and resting. Once she was satisfied that her mom was doing okay she walked into her room, closed the door and slid down. Tory finally let the tears fall as she cradled her arm to her chest. Tory let the sobs ripple through her body as everything she had been feeling since she saw Miguel kiss Sam.
Tory closed her eyes after her sobs settled down and got up. She was going to make her way to get changed into some pyjamas when there was a knock on the door. Tory sighed, wiped her cheeks of her tears and made her way to the front door.
Tory opened the door and was surprised to see Sam LaRusso.
"LaRusso? What are you doing here?" Tory asked, shock filling her.
"I came to talk. I may not know what it's like in Cobra Kai but if you're having problems with Cobra Kai, I'll be willing to listen," Sam told her, and Tory looked down at her hand.
I broke up with him because of this dojo, you bitch!
Sam was watching Tory's eyes and when Sam saw her eyes go down to her hand hers followed.
"Oh, my god what happened to your hand?" Sam asked, eyes bulging at Tory's bloody knuckles.
"Don't act like you care," Tory told her, not having the energy to fight with Sam.
"Tory, I know we may not be able to stand each other. I know we're pretty much sworn enemies at this point in time, but I do want to help if you're having problems at Cobra Kai," Sam told her, but Tory shook her head.
"I have to deal with this alone," Tory started, shaking her head, tears filling her eyes. "Please leave, Sam," Tory asked softly, with no fight Sam noticed.
Sam was worried but she wasn't going to fight Tory on this, so she just shook her head and sighed.
"Tell me what happened. Why did you leave the dojo before our fight?" Sam tried again. Tory looked up at Sam, pain clear in her eyes.
Tory sniffled and looked at Sam. "I noticed that the ref kept looking to Silver whenever he would call a point or no point," Tory told Sam, sniffling again. "I didn't want to win another rigged match, so I fled. I couldn't do it. I can't do this anymore. I'm done," Tory told Sam and closed the door before Sam could say another word.
Sam was horrified. This Tory, this broken, terrified version of Tory was not the one she had met two years ago. Sam walked away from Tory's house and drove back to her house. She needed to talk to her parents about what had happened, and she hoped they were back from their night out.
Sam parked her car and rushed into the house. "Mom! Dad!" Sam called. "Chozen!"
Sam walked into the kitchen and saw that her parents, Chozen, Johnny, and Carmen were all seated at the table.
"Sam? What's wrong?" Amanda asked, noticing the frown on her daughter's face.
Sam took a couple of deep breaths, trying to get her breathing back under control. "I saw Tory tonight and she looked bad," Sam told her mom, concern clear on her face and Amanda frowned. She knew her daughter hated the girl but with the concern Sam was showing she felt some fear creeping in.
"What do you mean by she looked bad?" Daniel asked, confusion clear in his voice.
Sam sighed, ran a hand through her hair and then spoke again. "It's a long story but we were at the party, Tory showed up and told me that I didn't lose the all valley because Silver had paid the ref off," Sam saw her dad's face cloud over with anger and then looked to her mom. Amanda just shook her head, she didn't think Silver could throw any more surprises at them yet here was another one. "Mom she had clear tear stains on her cheeks and her hand is badly bruised and bloody," Sam explained. "I think it's broken."
Amanda's mouth opened and closed, unsure about what to say.
"Do you know what happened?" Amanda asked Sam, ready to go to Tory's and check on the girl.
Sam shook her head. "Tory wouldn't tell me what happened, but I do know it has something to do with Cobra Kai since they had a training session earlier in the day."
Amanda, along with the rest of the adults were in shock. They knew one of the kids would end up getting hurt and Amanda knew that while Daniel would never forgive Tory for what she did to Sam at the school, Amanda remained the most concerned about the girl.
"Um, Carmen, do you mind coming with me?" Amanda asked, ready to check on Tory.
"What for?" Carmen asked but then it clicked. Sam said Tory's hand was bloody and bruised. Possibly a broken hand. Carmen thought. "Oh. Of course, I'll come," Carmen agreed, and the two women walked out of the room and to Amanda's car.
Amanda got in the driver's seat and sighed.
"You okay, Amanda?" Carmen asked, brows furrowed.
"Yeah. Just worried about Tory," Amanda told her. "She's been through so much and she's been through so much of it alone," Amanda told Carmen, feeling like she had to explain her reasons for caring about the girl who had done so much to her daughter.
"So, what are you planning on doing when we get there?" Carmen asked.
"To be honest I haven't thought passed knocking on her door," Amanda admitted, chuckling.
The rest of the way to Tory's they drove in silence, Amanda trying to figure out what to say to Tory and how to get her to let Carmen help her.
Once they got out, Amanda parked the car and walked towards Tory's apartment, a med bag Carmen had quickly grabbed from her car in hand. Amanda exhaled and knocked on the door. There was no answer, so she knocked again.
"Tory, I know you're in there," Amanda called out and got worried when she didn't hear a response, but a thud came from inside. "Tory!" Amanda called, worry clear in her voice. Amanda didn't hesitate and kicked the door in. surprising herself and Carmen.
Carmen rushes into the apartment and sees Tory lying on the ground, face down and with no shirt on. While Carmen rushed to check Tory's pulse Amanda rushed over to Tory and checked over the rest of Tory. When she noticed her hand she gasped at how bruised it was and how many scratches there were. Amanda looked around the room and on the living room coffee table sat a tablecloth and ice. Amanda sighed. This poor girl. Amanda thought.
"Carmen, get her to a hospital. I'll stay here until I can arrange for someone to stay with her mother."
Carmen nodded, pulled out her phone and called 911. Once she hung up the phone she gently turned Tory over. Carmen looked her over for anymore injuries but was thankful when she didn't find any.
Two minutes later, Carmen and Amanda heard sirens and stood up.
"Carmen, please do me a favour and call Daniel to let him know what's going on so he can pass on the message to Sam and Sam can talk to Robby and let him know what's going on," Amanda asked. Carmen nodded her head. "Thank you," Amanda said as paramedics ran into the apartment with a gurney.
The paramedics went over to where Tory was, got her on a backboard and loaded her onto the gurney once they made sure that she was in stable enough condition to be transported to the hospital. Carmen, along with the medics rushed Tory into the ambulance, her heartbeat was slow and they all knew how important it was to get her to the hospital.
