AN1: Yeah I know over a few years…. Sad to say… yeah, I can't promise I will update quicker. I am kinda stuck which parts of canon I want to use or skip all the way to the Fall of Beacon (which would give me far more freedom).
AN1: I am well aware by the time this comes out volume 9 came out that confirmed Blake and Yang are a couple ok? In this one they won't be as obviously Yang is going to be with Naruto and I am still on the fence on where Blake lies. Sorry for the long wait but like I said I wasn't sure what part of canon I wanted to use.
My main thing I don't know where to go with this story and which story beats to use. So I can't promise when the next update will be okay?
Before complain about the short chapter I have been stuck for a long time so I decided I would write what I could to prove this story isn't dead. I still have hope volume 10 will be approved when the RWBY franchise gets through this rough patch. Despite what people think I have enjoyed post volume 3 despite all the people talking badly about the change in tone and focus of the series.

Sienna-to be honest I am not sure as I don't know what to do with the White Fang. Naruto doesn't condemn them but doesn't agree with their actions especially if they target civilians in the crossfire.
Before people complain about Weiss change, she is still getting character development so she isn't 'Schnee heir' and Naruto is pretty good at getting people to change for the better.
Chapter 13 Raven's request
A few months had past and to Naruto amusement despite their relatively different personalities Team RRWBY was getting along relatively well. Yang took Ruby leadership rather well albeit she joked that Ruby was "a stickler in the mud" whenever she made a decision that Yang personally disagreed with. Blake seemed neutral with everything but didn't seem interested in giving her own opinion one way or another. Weiss was initially grumpy but ceded control when Naruto pulled her over to the side one day.
"Why are you singling me out? I promised I would let Ruby lead if she proved herself but she is still as silly as ever!" Weiss complained when Naruto dragged her to their shared dorm and crossed his arms.
"Her grades are still fairly middle at best while I am near the top of the class! I am not saying she hasn't improved but she still treats this as a joke not a real responsibility" Weiss shouted as Naruto gave her a questioning look.
"Weiss. Ruby is being herself. She wouldn't be a good leader if she changed herself to act like everyone else. It's okay if you are being more serious and we don't expect you to change but you should give us the same curtesy." Naruto told her as she tapped her on the forehead.
Weiss looked pretty annoyed at being treated as a child as she swatted his hand away but Naruto didn't seem to take it personally.
"Look Weiss its one thing to want to lead because people believe in you. It's another thing to lead because you think you are owed. Your last name doesn't make you any more special than anyone here on Team RRWBY." Naruto told her sternly as he glared down at Weiss.
'That's annoying he is her younger twin and yet he is still taller than me. Not that I have been ever particularly tall to begin with.' Weiss thought with annoyance as even with heels Naruto was still abit taller than her in his combat boots.
"I never said my last name made me special!" Weiss snapped seemingly annoyed at the remark about her Schnee last name.
Naruto sighed as he patted the chair next to him which Weiss looked at for a moment before reluctantly sitting down. She did make a show of holding onto the skirt of her 'combat dress' as if to show she was more dignified than Naruto who was sitting rather casually.
"I will be honest. I don't know Ozpin so if he picked me to be leader, I would be abit confused and would ask him why. However, I think picking Ruby was the right choice for the team." Naruto stated as Weiss blinked before pouting.
"You are only saying that because she is your sister! I am sure you would say the same thing if Yang was chosen! You wouldn't be here defending me if Blake or me was chosen!" Weiss accused him with her finger in his face.
Naruto raised an eyebrow before he smirked as he gently grabbed her wrist with his right hand. Before Weiss could take her hand, back Naruto placed a gentle kiss on her left hand as he used his left hand to grab her slim waist. This made Weiss turn red as steam started to come out of her head and Naruto swore even her white hair itself had its roots turn red to his amusement.
Weiss squealed out in shock as she jumped back as Naruto grinned at her when he let her go. Weiss took a full minute to ger her blush under control as she had to fan her face with her hands as she looked away from Naruto. Luckily for them the Team RRWBY dorm room was empty as Naruto specifically told Blake, Yang and Ruby he was going to have a chat with Weiss in private, while Team JNPR was off doing training elsewhere.
"Stop distracting me! You are doing this to get under my skin and make me forget we are having a conversation!" Weiss exclaimed giving Naruto an accusatory look with her finger pointed at him.
"It's not like that. I just wanted to kiss your hand because you are a beautiful young woman and I thought you would enjoy it." Naruto replied back simply as he raised an eyebrow but his mouth was turned into a slight smirk.
"To answer your question though I wouldn't just accept it if Yang was chosen as leader or even myself. I think Yang would be a terrible leader and I am sure she would know it as well." Naruto stated bluntly as Weiss jaw dropped in shock.
"You are saying that about Yang like it's the most common thing!" Weiss shouted as Naruto shrugged.
"Why deny it? We both know she hits first and asks question later. It's hard to say why when her Semblance is about strength and she gets hit on a lot even by older guys so she needs to be able to defend herself. However, that does not translate into patience needed to lead a team." Naruto stated matter of factly.
Weiss had a look of shock before she coughed into her hand.
"Alright I suppose I can agree that you wouldn't be okay with Yang being leader just because she is your sister." Weiss admitted before she got more serious.
"Then what makes Ruby a good leader? What does she have over me?" Weiss demanded as Naruto gave her a nod of approval.
"That is a better question to ask rather than question my motives. Simple on why Ruby is a better leader then you. It's because she lacks experience that she will heed other people's opinion instead of being set on her own and refusing to change her mind." Naruto explained as Weiss head snapped forward as she looked confused.
"What is that supposed to me? Are you saying I won't take anyone else opinion if I was leader?" Weiss asked coolly but Naruto could see the hurt in her eyes.
"Sigh. I mean you think due to your experience or a minor superiority complex you would not doubt yourself or think things over. I think you are an excellent Huntswoman in training and you have great grades. I just want you to admit that Ruby is doing her best and support her rather then just see her flaws." Naruto told her sternly before his eyes softened when Weiss started to shake.
Naruto sighed as he brought Weiss into a gentle hug holding her back while one hand gently rubbed her long white hair.
"I don't mean to put you down and I think you do deserve to be here. Just try to imagine it from Ruby's point of view. She already feels people are judging her for being younger let alone the leader. She needs us to support her and not just doubt her. Her confidence isn't ironclad and she needs you to be with her." Naruto told her gently as he held her close.
Weiss tried to escape but after a few seconds just blushed and rested against him.
"….. Fine…. I get it…. I am a member of Team RRWBY and I will do my part to support our leader instead of complaining I am not leader." Weiss promised as she subconsciously took a scent of Naruto's hair while Naruto not so subtle sniffed her hair.
"That's my Weiss. By the way your shampoo smells nice. Vanilla but something more. I think that something is your natural scent and it smells good." Naruto commented as Weiss face turned scarlet but she didn't leave his arms.
"How long are you going to hold me like this?" Weiss whispered feeling rather embarrassed but made no attempts to escape.
Naruto grinned as he rubbed his cheek against hers making her flustered.
"Hmm there is least half an hour before Yang comes in and demands we join the group again. If you want, we can stay like this for 29 mins." Naruto suggested looked amused at the swarming whit haired young woman who kept blushing.
30 minutes later as Naruto expected his sisters and Blake were about to storm into the Dorm Room.
"Yang you can't break down the door! We will have to pay for it!" Ruby shouted outside the door as Naruto could hear Yang loading up a few shotgun pellets into her arm gauntlets.
"It will work out Rubes. We will pay for the door in the future at some point." Yang voice could cheerfully be heard replying as Blake sighed.
"We aren't getting paid to be here so don't expect me to help you pay back the school for destroying school property." Blake said flatly with a hint of resignation.
Naruto scoffed as he flicked his wrist and with a breeze unlocked the door and made it open.
"Oh. I guess bro can unlock it for us to. That works." Yang relented as she released the tension from her arms as she was clearly about to load a few bullets into the door that was separating her from her beloved younger brother.
Yang had a saucy grin as she wriggled her eyebrows while Ruby and Blake had blushes. Notably Ruby seemed more envious then angry while Blake looked away with flustered cheeks. Naruto and Weiss were in Weiss bed with her single blanket over them. Weiss seemed to have used Naruto's chest as a pillow while he wrapped an arm around her. They appeared to be in a rather comfortable snuggling position judging by Weiss content smile while Naruto seemed to be at ease as well.
Naruto waved at his remaining teammates before he looked over at the sleeping Weiss and sighed. He gently placed Weiss onto her actual pillow chuckling when she whined in her sleep before slowly relaxing into her pillow.
"Hey everyone. I hope you had a productive half hour?" Naruto asked casually as Yang slipped next to him once he stepped onto the floor as she made kissy face with her lips.
"So, did you and Weiss have sex? Or was it just kissing?" Yang asked with a teasing and challenging mile as she cocked her wide hip against Naruto's while crossing her arms over her very large chest.
"Yang! You shouldn't speak of such things especially in front of Blake!" Ruby complained as she blushed while Blake seemed to be interested in the walls even with her flustered cheeks.
'What is the deal with this family? Are they that close or just a trio of oddballs?' Blake thought in confusion.
Naruto looked unimpressed and decided to get revenge as he squeezed Yang's left boob making her give a surprise moan of pleasure making Ruby and Blake look like tomatoes.
"You know Weiss isn't ready for anything like that. She is someone who waits for marriage before doing any sort of romantic things that would go beyond light kissing at best." Naruto pointed out as Yang teasing smile dropped as she nodded in agreement.
"We just hugged for 20 minutes and then she passed out from embarrassment. I carried her to her bed but she grabbed me while she was asleep. I thought it would be rude to wake her up so I slept next to her. It's as simple as that." Naruto explained matter of factly before he tapped his forehead.
"We were fully clothed to be clear. She literally passed out on the spot so its not like she and I were in sleeping clothes or anything." Naruto added as Ruby had a pleased expression while Yang just tilted her head and gave a so-so expression.
"Eh whatever works for you bro. If little Schnee Princess swoons from simple hugging then I can't imagine what she would do if she got kissed on the lips." Yang stated dismissively only to raise her hands in surrender when Naruto gave her an annoyed expression.
"Yang. Weiss is more then a Schnee. She is our teammate so don't call her a Princess in a condescending tone." Naruto warned as Yang sighed.
"Sorry. Force of habit. You're right. We will be here together for awhile so we should become friends." Yang apologized as Naruto nodded.
Naruto then walked over to his twin who blinked with doe like silver eyes.
"What's up?" Ruby asked as Naruto just smiled.
"Weiss and I had a nice chat. She likely won't say it out loud but I got her to understand why you being the leader is the best choice. So do your best and we shall support you. Remember you are not in this alone. You can ask for help if you need it and just remember I am here for you." Naruto assured Ruby who seemed to have a few tears.
Ruby rushed into his arms and rested her face into his shoulder wrapping her arms around his neck while he wrapped his arms around her slim waist.
"Thanks Naruto…. You are always the best." Ruby said simply but her voice was full of raw emotions of gratitude and love.
"Always Ruby. We shall be together forever." Naruto assured her as the twins just breathed in each other comforting scent and warmth.
Yang smiled at her younger siblings while she walked over to Blake who appeared to be reading one of her books but she could tell she was glancing at the Rose twins out the corner of her eyes.
"Blake. It might not seem like it but we are here for you too. We are a team and also a family of sorts. Of course, Naruto, Ruby and I are actual family by blood and being raised together but you and Weiss are our teammates. We are here together as well so if you ever need anything just ask or if you need to say something we are here to listen." Yang told her in a rare serious tone as Blake blinked.
"Right… I will keep that in mind. Thanks Yang." Blake replied softly with a small smile as Yang grinned. Blake appeared to be thinking things over with a thoughtful expression.
"Ooh we need to take a selfie! To celebrate the day our team came together!" Naruto stated loudly as Weiss woke up and blinked.
"Huh what happened? Oh right…. Naruto, he hugged me…." Weiss whispered with a blush before she managed to control herself.
"Haven't we been working together for months now? Why the sudden change to take a picture?" Blake pointed out as Naruto grinned up at her with a wink.
"Hehe. True but I think the team has nowhere but up to go from here on out! Plus, I would like you to know I take great pics! I am quite the smile!" Naruto claimed as Blake and Weiss gave unimpressed expressions due to Naruto's lack of modesty.
"I agree! Plus, this is the last time this exact moment is going to happen ever so why not save it? We can send the pic to each other after we use Naruto's scroll once!" Yang agreed as Naruto grinned and nodded.
"Okay everyone come in close!" Ruby cheered as Naruto went to the window so he could get a nice shot of the sun behind him.
Naruto grabbed his scroll and quickly enabled the camera function. He held it with his right hand and gestured for the group to come in. Yang instantly came next to his left as his left arm warped around her slim waist. Naruto's head happened to be right next to her breasts as she did a peace sign with her left hand and used her right hand to bring Naruto's head to snuggle against her large breasts. She was winking along with Naruto at the scroll.
Ruby used her Semblance to dash forward to Naruto's right and snuggled against her twin. She had a slight blush as she smiled shyly at the camera as she leaned into Naruto's waist. Her left arm was around Naruto's neck and her right hand was against her side.
Blake shrugged as she stood behind Naruto being slightly taller than the twins and just placed her hands on her hips. Weiss looked at the twins and just stood to Ruby's side with a proper pose moving her hip to her right and arms crossed over her notably smaller chest.
"Say cheese!" Naruto yelled cheerfully as he se the scroll on a timer.
"Cheese!" The group cheered with bright smiles with Weiss and Blake being more subdued but still just as happy.
There was a flash as Naruto's scroll captured the moment and he quickly sent the photo to the rest of his teammates so they could save the moment as well.
"Team RRWBY is ready to show the world our power! So, watch out Beacon we are going to be the best ever you have ever seen!" Naruto declared as the group did a fist pump into the air in agreement.
"Yes!" Weiss agreed.
"You know it!" Yang stated confidently.
"We will do our best!" Ruby added.
"Sure whatever." Blake added her two cents.
The group had all happy smiles as unseen to them a certain 'bird' was watching outside the window on a tall tree that had no leaves. Or rather none but one of them noticed the seemingly innocent 'bird'.
Naruto looked out the corner of his eyes as his eyes narrowed for a moment that nobody noticed as his smile returned just as fast.
'It seems to be a raven who is watching us. Not a crow or any other bird.' Naruto mused seeing the specific black bird.
'Or rather not A raven rather The Raven is watching us but not approaching. That woman is exactly like Uncle Qrow said she was. A reclusive who tries to pretend nothing bothers her but in reality nothing but a coward who won't even stick around for the only child she bore.' Naruto thought as he thought of someone who looked like Yang but had Jet black wavy hair instead of bright gold and the same red eyes that Yang had when Yang used her Semblance.
"If you are too afraid to confront us then you can watch from the shadows like you have always done." Naruto whispered with just a hint of spite that nobody could hear as managed to cover himself by kissing Weiss on the cheek.
This caused Weiss to pass out again, Blake to turn to her book with steaming cheeks, Ruby pouted adorably only to blush herself when he kissed her on the cheek while Yang was all grins. Naruto was nice enough to place Weiss back onto her bed.
"Hehe talk about an exciting day indeed. I have a feeling our score on teamwork will increase from this little heart to heart." Naruto mused to himself as Yang once again teased Ruby on enjoying the kiss too much as it 'was only on the cheek' as Yang put it.
Several weeks later Naruto decided to take the day to himself as he let his teammates had pedicures on a break the group had received during the school day. He flatly refused to go with his teammate even when Yang offered to go lingerie shopping with him and let him watch. This made Blake, Weiss and even Ruby to look like tomatoes at the thought of Yang going lingerie shopping with her hourglass figure and giant breasts especially with Naruto watching her.
"Oh, come on Naruto! I know you like it when I in my underwear and you get to see me in new outfits especially some more sexy ones! It's a fun activity!" Yang whined as Naruto rolled his eyes.
"That is not something we should do while we are at Beacon." Naruto firmly before he grinned.
"Of course, when we get home that is different story. You probably would have grown a size or two by the end of the year." Naruto flirted back as he briefly looked at her breasts and whistled.
Yang grinned back as she dramatically stretched causing her arms upwards and causing her large breasts to jiggle happily.
"You know what to say to get into a woman's heart like always my little bro." Yang purred as leaned in so their faces were less then an inch away.
"Um… Sorry to interrupt but we should get going to get to our appointments." Blake coughed awkwardly as the two blondes looked over to the rest of their teammates.
Blake was trying to avoid looking too invested, Weiss was blushing and muttering about 'indecency' and Ruby was looking rather hopeful.
"Alright alright. We had our fun. Have fun with your nap's bro! If you are still asleep when you are awake I will put a new pair of panties on your face to wake you up!" Yang promised as she walked out.
"Yang! Stop promising things like that!" Ruby whined as Yang laughter could be heard. Weiss and Blake followed suit looking out of place but Weiss did look interested despite her trying to not look like it.
Naruto waved before closing the door. Naruto grabbed a book and started to read quietly as he used his pillow to rest his back against the bed headboard. After an hour Naruto looked up at the window and whistled.
"I know you are there. You have been there for awhile and visiting once in awhile for weeks. Don't think I missed it. You can come in to talk like adults or continue to hide up there like this is beneath you." Naruto yelled before he opened the window and sat back on his bed.
The Raven cawed at him but flew in. The Raven flew around Naruto for few moments as Naruto closed the window with a wave of his left hand lazily. The Raven flipped in midair as the beautiful mature woman appeared in the Raven's stead. Like Yang, Raven looked very similar to her daughter but with black hair instead of blonde, red eyes instead of violet and light complexation. Like Yang, Raven had a very mature figure having similar size breasts and waist and hips.
"Hello Miss Raven. I guess this is something if not an honour." Naruto stated politely as he bowed but his eyes were wary of the woman.
Raven just smirked as she crossed her arms over her chest.
"I should have expected this of Summer's boy. You sensed me all those times and that is no small feat." Raven noted looking down at Naruto.
'She still looks confident as if this is an inconvience but also sad. Almost longing in her eyes.' Naruto thought looking into Raven's red eyes.
"You were teammates with my father, mother and your brother, right? Team STQR? You knew my parents well?" Naruto asked cautiously as Raven blinked but nodded slowly.
"My brother isn't weak or strong. He simply chose another path following Ozpin little plans. Tai is just a father now. Your mother however is something special. A once in a lifetime special person. Summer was different then anyone else I have ever met." Raven stated flatly but her tone instantly changed to fondness and affection when she said Summer.
'I see she loved mother as well.' Naruto thought as he stared directly in Raven's expecting eyes.
"You loved her." Naruto said plainly as his eyes grew sad.
"…. Everyone loved Summer Rose. Nobody could claim to not like the Rose who would never faulter." Raven said shifting her eyes away.
Naruto could see a single tear run down her face before a slight breeze brushed it aside.
"You were in love with my mother." Naruto clarified as Raven turned to stare at him with a bitter smile and sad eyes. AN2:
"If I was born a male, I would have been your father not Tai." Raven said bitterly with a hint of irony in her tone.
"There isn't a world that exists I wished Summer was anything else but the light that made life worth believing in. However, when she died, I realized this world has no hope. Only survival." Raven stated resentfully as she gripped her fist in anger.
Naruto took a look at Raven sheathed sword as she put a hand on it before letting go.
"A semblance that can bring you to people you love. care for greatly or at least have emotional connection to. That is how my stupid brother described my powers. It let me make a portal to Tai, my stupid brother, my pupil Vernal, possibly my daughter and even Summer. However, it can't bring me to the one person who I actually love more then life itself." Raven noted resentfully. AN3:
"….. I can understand why you loved mom the way you did. I don't blame you for loving her or for her loving another person. You can't choose who you love." Naruto stated firmly but with a notable understanding look in his eyes in Raven had the smallest smile at his reaction.
"Like you loving your sisters in the way you do?" Raven asked with a teasing tone as Naruto looked in a closet in the corner of their room.
Raven took a look and saw a spare copy of Ruby's red cloak and saw Naruto look of longing in his eyes.
"You know I am sure my Semblance Kindred Link would make a portal to you if I tried." Raven added as Naruto looked at her with a raised eyebrow.
"Are you sure? I am certain I would have noticed red and black portal near me if you had created a portal." Naruto questioned as Raven shrugged her shoulders. She withdrew her sword while Naruto kept calm.
"I haven't tried out of respect of your privacy but now that you know I am watching out for you there is no reason I can't try." Raven suggested but her look was one of asking for permission.
Naruto looked at her for a moment before nodding.
"Go nuts. Just don't do it when I am doing something like bathing or when I am with my team. I am sure you don't want them to know you can teleport to me at any time." Naruto granted as Raven gave a curt but thankful nod.
Raven was about to create a portal before Naruto raised a hand getting her to stop with a raised eyebrow.
"Yes? Is something the matter Naruto?" Raven asked with concern as Naruto eyes shifted across the room.
"If you haven't tried with either Yang or me, how can you be certain you will be able to create portals to me while uncertain about your daughter? If anything I feel you should be more certain about Yang then me." Naruto asked sharply with narrowed eyes.
Raven still held onto her sword but made no movement to cut into the air.
"I know because I know my heart! Yang may be my blood but I don't know her and she doesn't know me. However, when I see you, I feel that you are the child I want to protect and care for!" Raven stated passionately while Naruto frowned.
Before Naruto could say anything, Raven created a portal with a slash of her sword manifesting a oval shaped red portal with a black center in mid air. Raven started to step into the portal before she looked back at Naruto with fond eyes.
"This portal is to my pupil Vernal. This leads me to where my tribe is currently staying. I will create a new portal once I close this one to you Naruto. That will prove how dear you are to me!" Raven promised as Naruto looked at with uncertain eyes.
"What if you fail to create a portal to me from that side? What then?" Naruto asked with curious tone.
"…. It won't come to that but if I do fail to make a portal back to you then I suppose this will be goodbye for now. I will find you again but it will take me time to travel the old-fashioned way." Raven admitted with notable sorrow.
Despite himself Naruto took a few steps and put a hand on her shoulder much to both their surprise. Naruto put his hand back seemingly surprised at himself for comforting the mother of his older sister. However, Raven had a huge smile full of hope and affection at the simply contact.
"….. Very well then. If we don't see each other for awhile then I suppose this was a nice chat…. Miss Raven…." Naruto stated awkwardly rubbing the back of his head as Raven looked amused.
Raven put his Grimm shaped mask on as she turned around to walk into the portal.
"You really are like your mother Naruto. She made that same expression when she didn't know how to continue a conversation. I will be seeing you again either way but to be clear. You don't need to call me 'Miss Raven'. Raven is more then fine as you are important to me even if you don't think so yet." Raven stated warmly giving him one last look.
She walked through the portal and Naruto saw her close the portal with a simple slash of her sword. Naruto looked around the room with a thoughtful expression.
'Hmm I don't think I see anything but… wait!' Naruto thought as he leapt backwards by instinct.
A few feet away from where he was standing was another red and black portal which had opened in the air as Raven stepped through it with a pleased smile. She flicked her sword again closing the portal as she gave a whistle.
"Impressive reflexes Naruto. I meant you no harm but I have a feeling I would not be able to surprise you even with a portal created near you. That shows your reflexes and instincts are on par with the strongest of Huntsmen." Raven claimed as Naruto had landed on his feet with a grumpy expression.
"Fine. I can acknowledge you feel something for me although I am not sure exactly what at this point. I don't know how to feel about you as Uncle Qrow has told me what your tribe has been doing recently." Naruto explained with a frown as Raven sighed.
"That brat…. He doesn't remember the rule of the land. The strong survive and the weak become the foundation for the strong to stand. All our tribe has ever done is get strong enough to survive. It can't be helped that weak people get trampled so my tribe can thrive." Raven tried to explain as Naruto expression grew annoyed.
"How exactly does that make you any different then Salem? I am sure whatever misery she spreads she justifies as the strong exerting their might on the weak." Naruto asked with cool tone as Raven blinked in surprise.
"So, you do you know about her… Did Qrow tell you about her and Ozpin?" Raven asked cautiously as Naruto sighed before looking stone faced.
"Uncle Qrow and I trust each other. It's that simple. I am aware of the constant war between Ozpin and Salem going back thousands of years and many different life spans for Ozpin's reincarnations." Naruto stated firmly as Raven give a stiff nod.
"If you know that much then you know my tribe has nothing to do with Salem or Ozpin's games. We are nobody pawns." Raven stated firmly with her eyes narrowed.
"You don't feel any sort of gratefulness towards Ozpin? He was the one who gave you and Qrow the power of Magic after all despite it weakening his own dwindling reserves." Naruto probed with a raised eyebrow as Raven scoffed.
"My brother might be willing to be Ozpin's pawn out of some sort of duty or honour or gratefulness. I am not that naïve. Ozpin may have given me these powers but he doesn't own for me that. I am free to choose how to use my powers and Ozpin's schemes have nothing to do with me. Salem as well is not my issue." Raven retorted with a hint of condensation when talking about her brother.
Naruto gave her a stare for a moment before shrugging.
"Fine. It's your life. If you want to go on pretending the rest of the world doesn't matter to you then keep going. Just don't complain when you don't have anyone help you if you get into trouble. If you don't help people then people won't help you." Naruto stated firmly with his blue eyes shining with determination.
Raven looked at Naruto with wide eyes as she could almost imagine Summer with her silver eyes, pale skin and reddish black hair standing next to him giving her the exact same look as Naruto was giving her at the moment.
"Summer…. She told me the exact same thing to me once… It brought me shame to see her look at me with disappointment but I still had responsibilities to my tribe first." Raven admitted with a look of shame and sadness looking down for a moment.
"…. Did my super mom know about your feelings for her? I can't imagine mom would have been cruel enough to reject you if you she knew." Naruto asked looking at Raven with a look of pity but also kindness as Raven couldn't help the small smile on her face.
"I knew she wasn't interested in me the same way I was to her. She was not interested in women in that sort of way. However, she still brought a smile to my heart whenever I was near her and whenever I could see her smile was the happiest moments of my life." Raven admitted before giving a chuckle making Naruto tilt his head in confusion.
"We never spoke of anything that would hint at more then friendship but I have a feeling she suspected my feelings for her. Besides anything that would go directly against my tribe she could get me to do anything. She would often ask for small favours and when I agreed she would always give me a teasing smile almost as she knew I did those things because she asked." Raven elaborated as Naruto gave a nod.
"That sounds like her. She was the light in our lives too and the day she died… That was the saddest day of my life and my sisters, my uncle, my father and I can tell even your life." Naruto admitted looking down before seeing a heartbroken expression on Raven's face.
"I am sorry I wasn't there for you even if it was only for her funeral. It was too much for me to accept a world without her and even the idea of approaching you so soon after you lost her was unbearable as well. For what it's worth… I am sorry Naruto…" Raven told him sadly although Naruto could see her struggling with words.
"It seems apologizing isn't your thing. For what it's worth. I forgive you for that. I wasn't alone. I still had dad, uncle Qrow and my sisters. I am not sure you could have made it any better if you were there. We grieved in our own way that day." Naruto told her as Raven looked thankful with a nod.
"Thank you. That has been weighing on me for years. I thought you would hate me for not approaching you. I wouldn't have blamed you if you did blame me or judge me for being too much of a coward." Raven stated as Naruto looked at her in the eyes.
"That wasn't cowardly. What is cowardly is not being there for your actual daughter." Naruto retorted as Raven looked stubbornly at her crossing her arms over her chest.
"Naruto… It's not as simple as you think. I cannot be the mother that Summer was to you, her daughter or my daughter. It's not possibly no matter what I do." Raven told him sternly as Naruto rolled his eyes.
"You could at least try. I know Yang has been looking for you even if she doesn't know exactly who you are. If you really loved Mom as much as you claim you would want to protect her legacy." Naruto told her firmly as Raven looked away with guilt.
"…. Summer and Tai were the ones who were meant to be parents not Qrow or me. I will never say that Yang was a mistake or unwanted. That I can promise you." Raven assured Naruto before she sighed.
"Mom's legacy is not just me Raven! It's Ruby and Yang too! She loved all three of us with all her heart!" Naruto snapped at Raven who nodded slowly.
"I know that. If she was here right now she would be disappointed and would be giving me a tongue lashing for not being there for any of you. She would be telling me that Yang needed me even if I made mistakes." Raven admitted as Naruto gave her a look of disbelief.
"Then why isn't that enough to at least look after Yang?!" Naruto asked angrily as his blue eyes seemed to glow making Raven step back in surprise.
'That feeling… This is not Aura or a Semblance! That almost feels like magic! That's not possible though as only Ozpin, Salem, The Maidens and Qrow have any sort of That feeling… This is not Aura or a Semblance! That almost feels like magic left in this era! It's not something you just have!' Raven thought in disbelief as resisted the urge to activate her own Spring Maiden powers which was magic as well. AN4:
Naruto eyes stopped glowing as he tapped his foot impatiently.
"You are her true legacy Naruto! My daughter and your full-blooded sister are naïve and weak! They share Tai's naïve outlook on life and would not survive in the real world like you! I have ben watching you and I know you would be able to survive!" Raven insisted as Naruto gave a scoff.
Naruto looked deep into Raven's eyes with serious expression.
"Would you call my mother weak? I know she wouldn't change a thing about Yang or Ruby who you call weak." Naruto asked her as Raven looked down briefly.
"Tch… You really are like her you know? Your sister Ruby might have been her mini clone but you inherited something stronger then looks then her. Her heart and soul live on inside of you. That is what I believe Naruto." Raven insisted while Naruto bit his lip in frustration.
"What is it you want? If you plan to start trouble then Ozpin won't stand for it. I won't let you hurt the people I love either even if that means I fight you." Naruto asked as his eyes glowed for a moment.
"….. I am not against Ozpin per say but I am also not on his side. I merely want to survive. For you Naruto I want to meet you and offer any help or advice I can. That is all." Raven told him bluntly as Naruto gave a hum.
"If there is anyone you should want to help its Yang. She needs you more then I need you. However, I am not so naïve to think forcing you both in the same room will solve anything. I just think you should give your daughter a chance. She could surprise you." Naruto replied back as Raven sighed.
"I will watch over her as well. If her life is ever in true danger, I will intervene but I am not here to coddle anyone. That helps no one especially once you leave the relative safety of this school." Raven replied with a promise.
Naruto nodded before Raven looked awkwardly at him.
"What sort of powers do you have? I have a feeling there are mysteries about you, that you do not share with others. That power I just sensed…." Raven asked him as Naruto looked her in the eyes and shook his head.
"I don't trust you enough right now to tell you about my powers. You have to earn trust, right? That's how it works for you? Then consider you earning my trust and then I will tell you more about me." Naruto retorted with a smirk as Raven lips curled into a smile.
"You are learning. Very well I won't ply but I will ask. Have you told my brother or Tai? You should have someone older to ask for help." Raven asked with concern.
"Dad doesn't need to know. He ha enough on his plate being the father of three. A SINGLE Dad by the way." Naruto snapped putting great emphasis on 'Single' making Raven wince.
"Fair enough. He does have a lot on his plate. I know I put a lot on him when I left but it was the right choice. I would not have been a stay-at-home mom not even for Yang." Raven admitted as Naruto nodded.
"Uncle Qrow I trust. He knows more then you do and I know he won't betray my trust." Naruto stated firmly as Raven gave a dry expression.
"Hmm might be the first time I have ever been envious of my brother. His Semblance has never been one to be envious of by he has your trust while I do not. I will earn it though Naruto. Even if it takes time I will show you that you can trust me to have your back." Raven chuckled lightly.
Naruto shrugged but didn't disagree with her.
Raven expression grew serious as she looked down at Naruto.
"Now what do you know about Ozpin and Salem? The truth about this accused world?" Raven asked him as Naruto frowned.
"I know about how Salem became the monster she is now, how Grim were born, about the Brother Gods and how Ozpin has been reincarnating himself." Naruto stated carefully as Raven frowned at him.
"If you know all that then how can you disagree with my methods? I am not naïve like Ozpin who thinks the nations who have been at each other's throats for countless years can get along? I also do not work for Salem who treats all humans and Faunus at pawns at the very best." Raven asked him.
"I never said I thought surviving was wrong. I just don't agree with surviving at the cost of others. My main issue is that Yang still looking for you and you are intentionally not going to her." Naruto explained as Raven took a deep breath.
"I see. I am usually not this sentimental but do you want to see your father or my brother? I can create a portal to them and bring you back before the end of the day." Raven offered softly as Naruto raised an eyebrow.
"Hmmm it does seem you are trying. That is a neat ability. I don't need to see either of them but I will thank you for the offer, Raven. Uncle Qrow might have been wrong about you. You do still have love in your heart even if you try to hide it." Naruto noted as Raven resisted the urge to scoff.
"Tch that brother of mine. Just because I know how to make hard decisions instead of following other doesn't mean I don't feel things." Raven stated with the hint of bitterness before a soft smile appeared on her face.
"We have been talking for awhile. Your sisters and teammates will likely be back soon. I would like to talk to you again soon." Raven told him softly.
Naruto nodded softly as he put an arm forward.
"I would like to talk to you again soon as well." Naruto offered as Raven happily shook his hand with her own.
Raven looked like she wanted to hug him but held herself back. She took her hand back as she waved her hand creating a new red and black portal.
"I will consider reaching out to Yang at some point. Please do not tell anyone about this conversation. I still need time to think things over." Raven asked quietly.
Naruto nodded as Raven turned around to walk into the portal.
"I promise. I know change takes time and I am willing to wait if you are." Naruto promised as Raven left with a smile on her face.
AN2: Yes, in canon they are simply teammates but, in my story, Raven had a one sided love for Summer who in turn loved Raven like a sister even when Raven got pregnant with Tai's daughter. In canon it did seem even after Summer's death, Raven had deep respect for her and during her last scene with Summer in the past. Raven seemed to be willing to take Summer's criticism rather sheepishly and not give a snappy response.
AN3: Before people reply this is not the same Raven from canon. I know in canon Raven could definitely make a portal to Yang and there is no proof she could make portals to Summer. However, my Raven hasn't gotten to know Yang so she is 'possibly' and in my story Raven was in love with Summer so she could make portals to her.
AN4: I am not sure exactly when Raven got the Spring Maiden's powers by killing the previous user but here, she has already more or less gotten used to her powers. Of course she is still hiding the fact she is the Spring Maiden.
