Swellview XXXI

Summary: Team Danger battles an escaped villain and deals with the fall out.

Evie's Notes: Happy Monday! I hope you all are having a wonderful week ! I hope that you all enjoy the this new update, it is one that I have been looking forward to a long, long time. Here is where the plot moves into Arc 2 ! As always, thank you so much your support of this story, it really and truly means the world to me !

Background information about Danger Force in this universe:The various Danger Force crossovers did not happen except for the first one which happened the way it is described in my fic: Danger Returns. Team Danger were then long distance mentors to Danger Force. Danger Force would call the members of Team Danger for both Super Hero and Life advice. Danger Force at the point where they are being pulled from include: Bose, Mika, Miles, Chapa with Buddy and Piper as inventor and tech support (Piper never left to go to college in this version). This is Danger Force post season three where they have been abandoned to protect Swellview as high school freshmen all by themselves. They protected the town for two years by themselves, but they are burnt out with crime fighting alone. They never joined the Hero League, remaining vigilantes in the future.

*A New Hero - A New Hero - A New Hero*

Mia and her friends were lounging around the Hart's living room when Henry's wizwatch started beeping.

"Ugh! What does he want now?" whined Jasper. "We aren't even supposed to work tonight". The trio had scheduled their superhero vacation to start that evening since Mia was back in town. They still had to go in for a final day of school tomorrow, but Saturday morning they would be driving to Hiddenville as fast as possible.

"It's a Thursday night. How crazy can the crime be?" asked Mia innocently as she sipped her coke.

"NEVER ask that" ordered Charlotte. "You've just jinxed us".

"Whazz up?" Schwoz's hologram greeted the group as Henry flipped on his watch. Amelia scooted around to the other side of the room so the inventor wouldn't spot her

"Whazzz up!?" called back the Swellview trio.

"Wazz up is that Time Jerker has broken out of Swellview Prison!"

"What?" gasped Jasper.

"Ugh… again?" whined Henry

"Yes, and you all need to stop him!"

"Schwoz we're on vacation. Why can't Ray stop him?" asked Charlotte.

"Ray is currently in Secret Shores for a spa day and won't be back till tomorrow evening. You all need to stop him as soon as possible. The supercomputer has him currently at the clocktower and is picking up on large amounts of temporal energy. This could be disastrous for Swellview and the world! You need to stop him".

The Swellview trio traded resigned looks before Jasper sighed "Fine, we'll put off our vacation for tonight only. If we don't stop him tonight then he's Ray's problem. Deal?"

"Deal! Suit up and head over to the clock tower. The sooner the Time Jerker is back behind bars the better. Click" agreed Schwoz, hanging up on the group.

"Well you heard the man. The only question is whether to blog about it or not!" declared Mia twisting her ring and donning her Madame Danger outfit, this time paired with a pink wig.

"Why not. This way we'll give him a fighting chance" chuckled a cocky Henry.

The trio twisted their rings as well donning their supersuits. Mia motioned for the group to gather together and snapped a selfie of the four which she posted to Envygram and Chirper with the message.

MadameDanger: Tick Tock Time Jerker, your days are numbered.

*A New Hero - A New Hero - A New Hero*

The four superheroes made their way across town to the old clock tower. As they got closer they spotted ominous green clouds swirling around the top of the tower.

"Well that's not creepy at all" quipped Amelia.

"Looks like he's got some new time gear. We'll have to be careful when we get up there" ordered Charlotte.

"Doc and Professor take the stairs. We will meet you up there. Madame you're with me" declared Henry.

The team split up into pairs and made their way around the clock tower. Henry and Mia use their climbing gear to scale the outside of the clock tower, while Jasper and Charlotte raced up the stairs, each pairing hoping that they weren't too late.

Crossing through the windowsill, Henry and Amelia were greeted with the site of the Time Jerker frantically working on one of his machines. The creation in question was hooked up to the gears of the clock face. Strange green mist was escaping the machine and curling upwards to join the cloudy mass above the tower .

"It's over Time Jerker" announced Henry as he stepped forward, his arms raised for a fight.

"Ahhh, Team Danger right on time" snarked the villain.

"You're not going anywhere, Time Jerker" added Charlotte as she burst through the door ready to fight.

"Well anywhere but jail" laughed Jasper as he also got ready to fight.

"I disagree, Team Danger. It is not I who will be going anywhere, but you who will be going for a little trip, a trip through time" cackled the madman.

"Been there, done that" mumbled Mia under her breath

"God, did Danger Force ever have to deal with time, villains" whined Jasper

"I doubt it" huffed Charlotte. "Mika never mentioned it in her calls for advice. Even if they did let all the villains out of prison by accident they never ended up having to fight a time villain as far as I remember".

"Now that I'm thinking about it," Henry mentioned. "I don't believe that Piper ever had to deal with time villains as well".

"I think Max was the ThunderTwins version of a time villain" added Amelia.

"Ugh lucky brats," groaned Charlotte playfully.

"Enough chit chat" shrieked their enemy. "Time has run out for you all. Say your goodbyes" ordered the man as he pulled the large lever attached to his machine.

"Nope!" declared Henry, obnoxiously popping the 'p' and quickly stepping up to punch the man knocking him out. Jasper tied the man up as Charlotte tried to figure out how to stop the machine.

The young woman tried frantically to turn off the Time Jerker's creation, hitting a bunch of buttons to no avail. Mia looked at the space around them and saw a bunch of cords leading off towards the wall, following them she found that the machine plugged into the wall a couple different ways . Not knowing which one was the power she decided to just rip all of the cords out.

"Did that do anything?" asked Amelia hopefully.

"It certainly did something" yelled back Jasper as the machine started to spark and more and more of the green gas spewed from the clock face.

"Everybody downstairs now!" yelled Henry as he dragged the unconscious body of the Time Jerker down the steps.

The time traveling quartet had just made it out of the building by the time a loud boom was heard and the building shook. Looking up the group saw a bright burst of light before all went dark.

"Well, we'll have to make sure to call the cops and have them come and do cleanup," remarked Henry as he dragged the unconscious man towards the Captain Man Van.

"Not that the cops do a whole lot in this town" sighed Jasper.

"Well, we just have to be thankful for what little support we do get" remarked Charlotte.

"At least once you guys move to Hiddenville, you will have a police force which will back you up" cheered Mia.

This in fact did cheer up the trio, and it was with happy grins that the group dropped off the prisoner at the Swellview jail.

Snapping a celebration selfie the quartet each posted a quick message on Envygram and Chirper before twisting their rings and grabbing some celebration pizza. A perfect ending to a night of fighting crime.

Kiddanger: another win for team danger

MadamDanger: busy night in Swellview, can't wait to get home to my beloved Hiddenville.

ProfessorDanger:nothing better than keeping my city safe with my favorite people. Love you kiddanger docdanger madamdanger.

As Team Danger headed to bed for some well deserved sleep eight bodies glowed an eerie green.

*A New Hero - A New Hero - A New Hero*

Breakfast the next morning was a bit awkward as Piper seemed to not be able to stop staring at the four older teens.

"Ehhh, Pipes? You good?" asked Henry awkwardly as he slid an omelet onto the girl's plate.

The young blonde just nodded robotically and seemed to go back to her puzzled counting of the gathered teens.

"Well I for one am so excited for you all to come and see the latest details I added to the house. I swear you guys wouldn't be able to recognize it from what it used to be".

"As soon as classes are done for the day we will pack the van and hit the road Mia. This is going to be the best Christmas ever!" cheered Jasper.

"It will be so nice to get away from the crazy of Swellview and enjoy the extended peace of Hiddenville" agreed Henry.

"I'm excited to meet this Fred fellow you told me about M. Hopefully he should be able to tell me all about Boardertown University"

"Just don't spend all of our break grilling him about school, love" teased Jasper.

"I hope it snows some more. Piper, you're going to love the giant sledding hill I found. My friends and I tried it out while taking a break from studying and it was so much fun".

"Sounds great" whispered the girl faintly… before pushing away her still mostly full plate. "I'm going to go get dressed. Don't want to be late for the last day".

"Ok, now I know something is going on" frowned Henry. "Spill".

"It's nothing. I just have a lot on my mind and I want to get to school before all the hot chocolate is gone. They're having it as a special treat since it's the last day of classes".

"Ok then Pipes, go finish getting ready and we'll head over to school" grinned Jasper encouragingly.

"You good to hang out here while we're in class, Mia?" asked Henry as he moved to clean the kitchen.

"Of course Hen. Your parents are already gone for their holiday so I'll just work on some things for the Danger Zone on my laptop. Enjoy your last day of classes".

"Thanks, we'll probably just be watching movies and wasting time" sighed Charlotte.

Done with their breakfast the teens hurried to get ready for school.

*A New Hero - A New Hero - A New Hero*

Across town Mika Macklin was awoken by a very loud scream. Jumping to her feet she adopted a fighting position, scanning her surroundings to weirdly find her old room. The chair which Chapa had fried while learning to control her powers still sat at her desk. Various decorations which she had outgrown decorated the wall. Most importantly her Team Danger poster was missing!

A much younger Miles raced into the room shouting "Miiiikkkkaaaa!"

"Miles! What is going on here!" she asked, pulling her twin into a tight hug.

"I don't know but something is clearly wrong. You look like a baby!"

"I don't remember fighting a time villain recently. Hell the only bad guy we dealt with last night was Jeff" remarked Mika

"Check the news! Maybe Trent and Mary know something"

Hurrying over to her laptop, Mila thanked her lucky stars that her younger self had posted the password on the bulletin board above her desk. Pulling up the KLVY news blog she scanned the headlines.

"Car stuck in tree, another failed date for Mary, Vice Mayor on strike, Team Danger!"

"What the choco crocko is going on here?" demanded Miles in shock as the pair stared at the image of four supes posted to the site.

Clicking on the article Mika began to read. "Last night Team Danger faced off against the escaped Time Jerker. Captain Man was nowhere to be seen. Luckily Kid Danger, Professor Danger, and Doctor Danger along with Hiddenville's own Madam Danger protected our city from the dangerous villain. Our local clock tower will be under construction for the next month, but we are all so grateful to Team Danger for keeping us safe."

"I want to guess that we're in the past going by the date of the article, but Team Danger didn't exist then" worried Miles as he paced back and forth.

"Well that photo is obviously of a younger version of our Team Danger. How about we stop by Charlotte and the boys' lockers after school and see if they remember us".

"Good plan Mika. In the meantime let's find Chapa and Bose at school. Even if they don't remember us it would be nice to be friends again with them. Maybe Piper too!"

"Yeah! Let's get ready and have mom take us over to school early to try and feel them out".

With their plan set the twins quickly got dressed and headed to school to look for their new/old friends.

*A New Hero - A New Hero - A New Hero*

The school day flew by for Team Danger and Charlotte found herself excitedly packing her bag to leave. Closing her locker she let out a loud "MEEP!" as she found herself face to face with twin terrors.

"Miles and Mika Macklin don't do that to a person! You're going to give me a heart attack one of these days.

"Ah ha! So you do remember us" cheered Mika excitedly. "I told you she would!"

"Yeah, yeah, but it's a Dangerous thing to remember" commented Chapa as she and Bose came around the corner where they had been hiding.

"Dangerous thing. God you all have no subtlety" sighed Charlotte exhaustedly.

"Who would want to be subtle?" scoffed Miles.

"I take it that all four of you remember?" asked the older girl.

"Yup" declared the four eighth graders.

"Well in that case follow me. We can talk about this at home" decided Charlotte, knowing that the middle of a school hallway was the absolute LAST place to discuss top secret information.

The gaggle of superheroes made it to the van where Henry, Jasper and Piper were waiting in time to hear Piper demand; "When we get home the four of us are having a talk. Something weird happened last night and I think I need your help".

"OMG Pipes!" squealed Mika rushing forward and pulling Piper into a hug.

"Mika? Miles? Chapa? Bose? What is happening?" demanded the overwhelmed blonde.

"Everybody in the car, we're going to have to squish" ordered Henry, as he and Jasper took the driver and front passenger seat.

*A New Hero - A New Hero - A New Hero*

The two superhero teams eventually made it back to the Hart house and got settled in the living room with Mia and some brightly colored sodas.

"Soooo…" began Bose awkwardly

"Soooo" echoed back Mia and Henry.

"What the hell happened last night?" snapped Piper. "I went to bed as an eighth grader and woke up with the mind of a 16 year old. What did you four do? Also why are there four of you right now? Aren't you supposed to be being held captive by the mob in Dystopia right now Amelia?"

"All fair questions" chuckled Amelia. "As for me, I woke up a couple months ago with my memories and decided to skip the whole getting captured thing. I came here just before the school year started and found that your brother and the others had their memories back too. We made a plan for what we wanted our future to look like going forward and decided to put it into action. Honestly I can't complain, Hiddenville is soooo much nicer than Dystopia".

"Ok… So you all have had memories back for four whole months!" asked Miles, shocked.

"Yeah, we had been fighting this time villain in Metroburg, where we had been assigned by the Hero League. During the fight we destroyed her time ray but got caught up in the blast throwing us back here into the past".

"That's wild, bro" commented Bose, floating himself another brightly colored soda.

"Well that answers my question of whether you four got your powers back" shrugged Jasper.

"Yup, we are locked and loaded" smirked Chapa, shooting Miles with a playful shot of lighting.

"Ok, well this is a lot to think about" sighed Henry. "We are not planning on staying in Swellview past the end of May and have already taken steps to establish a life in Hiddenville. If you guys would like I guess we can introduce you to Ray, though he is still a little trigger happy with the memory wiper these days"

"Yeah… we'd rather skip all of that. You know we were operating on our own for the past two years, I'd rather pass on the whole working with Ray and his ego" disagreed Miles.

"We can't in good conscience leave you guys on your own in the city" worried Amelia, sure it wasn't the most dangerous city but the crime rate was still fairly substantial.

"Could we come with you?" asked Bose in a small voice.

"What?" asked the older trio, shocked.

"Well, you guys have been our mentors for a while and we'd love to actually get to work WITH you" began Mika

"We always used to talk about possibly joining your team when we were on our own in Swellview," added Chapa.

"Plus it would be nice to keep Piper on our team and that's going to be a bit hard with her in another city. God only knows how we are going to find and get Buddy on board" explained Miles.

"Oh yeah! Buddy's still in Neighborville! And his parents are actual supervillains!" worried Bose.

"Shit! Henry we have to get him out of there" shrieked Piper.

"Ok let's take a pause" called Charlotte as the younger heroes descended into frantic worry for their missing team mate. "To answer your first question, we would love nothing more than for you all to join us in Hiddenville. The "HOW" we are going to pull that off is the question".

"Also please keep in mind that if you do join us you will eventually be giving up the vigilante lifestyle to join the Hero League" added Jasper.

"That's fine" brushed off Piper. "It's not like we're super attached to being vigilantes".

"How about this?" proposed Henry. "We take the next two weeks of break to breathe, think this through calmly and come up with a plan to get you four plus Buddy to Hiddenville with us this summer".

"Deal" agreed the assembled supers.

"That's what we'll do then. In the meantime please try to pretend to be normal eighth graders" plead Charlotte. "On the plus side you all have each other so you're not doing this alone".

"We'll try" promised Bose seriously.

"Very good. Jasper, can you drop them off at home while the rest of us finish packing? When you get back we can hit the road for Hiddenville" asked Henry.

"Will do Hen," agreed the boy, kissing his partners and then led the time traveling middle schoolers (minus Piper) out the door.

"Huh, I didn't see that coming. I if anyone else got their memories back" remarked Henry, cleaning up the empty drink cans.

Mia dropped hers in shock as she uttered on word, "Max".
