Disclaimer: I do not own Kingsman and Supergirl.

Hello, another one shot story for you. I decided to do this as a project while working on other things and thought you might enjoy it.

Gentlemanly Rescue

Warehouse, London...2013...

Lena was terrified as she was tied to the chair, her body was bathed in sweat making her already days old outfit stick uncomfortably to her body. She hadn't been able to eat for days and given water only infrequently. A gag was tied tightly around her mouth so she couldn't speak. The major thing on her mind though was the gun that was being held to her head.

She had only been in London for business! To arrange a new contract for Luthercorp and while she had been having dinner that night armed men had come shooting their way into the restaurant and dragged her out, putting a bag on her head that had almost suffocated her before they had taken it off! That was when they had arrived at the warehouse and she had been here ever seen.

She saw the men say loudly at a camera that was opposite her while pressing the gun to her head.

"Listen up, you want this little bitch back...You pay!" The lead thug said as he pushed the gun hard against her temple while Lena did her best not to cry as she felt more scared than she had at any point in her life. Worse, she knew that it was almost certain that she was going to die as Lex would never pay a ransom. When they had been children he had been welcoming to her and treated her as a member of the family but as he had grown older the more dangerous and colder edge had emerged and now they were not really speaking much.

Lillian might pay a ransom for her or at least try to have her rescued but it was unlikely she would even hear of this until it was too late Lena realised as the men holding her were speaking to Lex and not her stepmother.

Suddenly however the sound of footsteps came from the side of the room, she looked over as did they surprisingly, she had expected to see some kind of mastermind criminal or something but instead she saw a middle aged man with brown hair in an impeccable suit with glasses and an umbrella! She wondered if maybe the man had wandered in here by accident as he was completely different from the thugs who had kidnapped her. They wore dirty sports clothes and had shaved heads and gestured their guns around like they were constantly on some kind of edge, like they were always being amped up on drugs which she wouldn't put past them.

"You...you stupid prick! Wha you doing in ere?!" One of the thugs demanded in barely coherent speech. The man seemed completely unaffected and Lena was urging him to run to save himself but he took one look at the situation and rather than show fear he actually looked at the thugs with disapproval and said.

"That's hardly a way to treat a lady. We'll have to do something about that." He said as he went to fiddle with his umbrella. Lena was astonished at his attitude given he was facing seven armed and violent men with nothing more than an umbrella.

"You shut your fucking mouth!" One of the thugs shouted and shot at the man, Lena's heart sank as she was sure that he was about to die but instead the man deployed his umbrella and surprisingly it withstood the shot. Objectively Lena knew it must be made of some reinforced material but it was still a shock and more so when the man who looked like he should be working a bank or something closed the distance and hit him with some-kind of blast from the same umbrella.

The next man who tried to hit him from behind was hit with another blast before they tried to charge him and without any single flaw the man discarded his umbrella and easily with the grace of a dancer or champion martial artist defeated them, he used their clumsy blows against them and even seemed to use a blade that came out of his shoes.

Lena was speechless as she watched, not able to believe it but soon he had taken out all of the remaining thugs. He then took a knife that one of them had been brandishing and came walking calmly over to her like nothing had happened, hardly even winded by what happened and Lena was scared that he might kill her too and so she struggled against her restraints like she had been doing for days. But he cut them and then tossed the knife aside.

Lena, now able to move freely for the first time in days was slow to get to her feet and the man just gave her a gentlemanly nod and then began to walk away. Lena quickly pulled the gag off and desperately called out in confusion.

"Who are you?"

The man stopped and turned on his heel to say.

"That hardly matters, good day Miss Luthor and keep up your good work." He said before turned around again and walking out of the same door that he had come in through. Lena quickly if unsteadily began to chase after him but by the time she made it to the door, the man had disappeared.

Lena was left looking out over an run down looking industrial estate and the sound of sirens made her at least feel safer as police cars and an ambulance arrived, she soon being asked questions but knew better than to tell the police about the man, he didn't want to be identified she thought with reasoning, why else had he not given her his name? She thought and instead told them that they had turned on each other but she had managed to get free of her restraints.

But as soon as she was checked out and returned to her hotel to take a greatly needed bath and change of clothes she could not get the man out of her mind. She sat in the bath and remembered him, wondering just who he was and why he had saved her.

She decided there and then to see if she could find out first just who he was as she got out of the bath and towelled herself dry. Eating a good dinner in her room she used her laptop to create a digital rendering of his face and once she was sure she had gotten enough of the details right ran it through the databases that she dared to access and after a hour of searching...found nothing, not even a driver's licence.

That was telling, she thought as she pondered her next step. Whoever he was he was off the grid and that took influence and with it usually money to pull that off especially given the suit he had been wearing was bespoke and clearly well made.

Then she took a different approach, London was home to a very comprehensive CCTV camera network. If he moved around the city chances are one of them would pick him up, Lena smiled as she wrote her program to scan through the CCTV and look for any sign of the man.

It took a lot longer than she expected before she got a bite but as she finally spotted him getting out of a cab and going into one of the tailor shops on Saville Row. Kingsman, she read the name and she remembered he had been wearing a signet ring that looked gold and had the logo of the tailor shop on it.

Clearly something else was going on with that shop, Lena thought and sat on her bed, pondering her next move. She did a search on the history of Kingsman tailors and it was rather dry really she thought with some disappointment as she had hoped for some more clues as to what they were doing.

Kingsman tailors, founded in 1849 was a bespoke tailor that supplied high quality suits and formal wear to men in high positions and/or had enough money. The shop had been bought by Orlando Oxford, or to give him his title the Duke of Oxford in 1918 and then besides their list of clients which was admittedly impressive Lena conceded, there was precious little else.

Suspiciously little she thought and wondered just what was going on there, the man who had led her there saved her and seemed to be more of a gentleman than most of the people that she had met. She looked down at the symbol of the shop again and rested her chin on her arched hands as she considered the possibilities but she wanted to see if she was right first.

Tomorrow, she would visit that shop and see what caught her eye Lena thought, not able to let this go now. She realised this might be dangerous but she couldn't help herself, she was too engaged with this mystery.

She just hoped it was not a bad end waiting when she finally unravelled it she thought as she settled in to sleep.

Kingsman, Saville Row...The Next Morning...

A traditional black London cab delivered Lena to Kingsman and seeing it up close made her wonder just what was going on here. Whatever it was she was determined to find out and with a slight hesitation started walking up the steps into the shop. The door had an old fashioned bell attached which let her presence be known but as she came into the old fashioned shop she saw it couldn't have been changed much if at all in the last century, probably more she reasoned but when she looked at the old man at the desk she noted something, he was tense, looking at her with suspicion which at least confirmed that something else was going on here.

"Can I help you miss?" The man said, well spoken English accent she noted and asked him to create some kind of pretence that she was hear on business she asked.

"I was wondering if you do women suits as well? Not to mention I was looking for a gift for my brother as he often wears suits and was hoping to recommend your shop." Lena asked with a smile and the man didn't fully believe her she could tell but he produced a box of rather expensive looking signet rings from behind the counter.

"We have these miss and we do have a woman's cut to our suits but you would have to make an appointment." The man said and Lena nodded, keeping up the pretence and smiled.

"Of course, and could I buy one of the rings now?" She asked and he nodded, she looked across the admittedly elaborate looking rings and saw one that would do as a supposed present but what she was really looking for was the same type of ring that the man had worn and there it was, easily seen in the box.

"That will do fine. Can I pay with cards?" She asked and it seemed that traditional methods were still much in play here and she paid cash instead but as she turned to leave she saw the last person she expected blocking the door.

"Miss Luthor. What a surprise to see you here." The man from the warehouse said. Standing there with his umbrella in hand and knowing what it could do she immediately realised she was trapped, her skills at unarmed combat were better than most would think but even then she doubted that she would be able to take him. She cursed herself for coming here alone or without a backup plan but she was stuck now! She thought and suppressed her natural panic and instead tried to bluff her way out.

"I was just." She started to say but the man smiled and told her.

"I think we've gone past that stage now. Fitting Room 1." He told her and she felt increasingly nervous as she wondered if she would ever be coming out of that room alive before asking him.

"You saved my life. I just wanted to know...who you are? And why?" She asked him and he told her as the door closed and locked, leaving them stuck in that room.

"Why? That is simple Miss Luthor, you were a young lady in jeopardy, I need no more reason that that as a gentleman should never leave a lady in such a position as you found yourself in. As for my name...well I am Harry Hart." He told her with a warm smile but she was still somewhat guarded as she had known many smooth talkers and knew he was dangerous already. He walked over and pressed his hand against the mirror which preceded the floor starting to lower itself, an elevator she thought with surprise.

"At the end of the First World War a lot of very prominent men had lost their heirs to the brutality of war, not least the Duke of Oxford. That meant a lot of money going uninherited and a lot of powerful men with a strong desire to protect life. The founders of our organisation channelled those considerable resources into achieving that goal. To that end they acquired Kingsman tailors, using it as a front for their new venture." Harry told her as they descended, the further they went Lena was wondering just what she had gotten herself into.

"Just how deep underground are we going?" She asked and he smiled before reassuring her.

"Not much more, we have a ride to catch." Harry told her and they emerged into what looked like a tube station but it had only a small single carriage with old fashioned seats. She quickly reasoned it was a hyperloop system which surprised her given how old fashioned things had been upstairs but reluctantly she allowed herself to be led to the carriage and sat down opposite Harry who continued his explanation.

"An independent Intelligence Agency operating at the highest level of discretion on an international scale. Free of the bureaucracy and politics that constrain other intelligence agencies." He told her proudly as the door closed and she felt the carriage move, wondering just where she was being taken. Still she had some concerns with what he had described.

"Without oversight, that sounds like an organisation that could easily grow corrupt." She wondering if it were possible for an organisation like Kingsman to be completely above board. Harry smiled before telling her.

"Kingsman was built on a set of principles that are as important then as they are now. A suit is a modern gentleman's armour, and Kingsman agents are the new knights. My codename is Galahad. I can see your point but I think when you have seen some of what Kingsman has managed to achieve over the years, you will understand." Harry said to reassure her and despite her suspicions, she couldn't help but believe him. He was easily the best man that she had met in quite a long time and given how rotten most professional agencies were and prone to misusing their powers, would an independent agency not be a good idea she wondered.

The carriage then arrived at their destination and the door slid open, revealing a new and more modern looking area with computers and a large display window which she carefully walked towards and saw an impressive hanger, filled with all kinds of vehicles and aircraft. She had seen things like this before but couldn't help but feel a little awe struck. Harry smiled as he looked at her admiring the view.

"We've come a long way nearly a hundred years. Come on, I'll give you a tour." Harry said, offering her his arm like a gentleman would and Lena was amused by that old fashioned gesture but she took it with a smile and he led her off to see the rest of their facility.

Lena awhile later was sitting in the library of the impressive manor that had once been the Oxford Estate, she was reading through various mission reports with total enthusiasm for the incredible work they had done over the years.

She was unaware she was being monitored by two men, one of them was Harry who was smiling as he saw her interest while the other was Chester King, the current leader of Kingsman who had the codename Arthur.

"Bringing her here was a mistake, you had no authorisation." He said sharply to Harry who was nonplussed and told him.

"She found me, in less than a day she had managed to track me to the shop even with all of the safeguards. She has an intelligence that could be of great value to us. Geniuses like her don't come along every day, not least one with a moral compass." Harry said, trusting that bringing Lena into Kingsman was a good idea but Arthur had his doubts.

"Her family says otherwise." The reputation of her brother Lex was a deeply troubling issue but Harry was unconcerned.

"The brother is a concern but Lena is not Lex. She cares about life and peace." Harry said, placing a great deal of trust in Lena. Arthur though was not conceding defeat so easily.

"There are no open spots for agents. You're jumping the gun by bringing her here." He said coldly and but Harry had an answer for that.

"Lena doesn't have to be an agent to help Kingsman. While I have no doubt with the right training she would be a great agent, she would be potentially very helpful aiding Merlin." Harry said with a smile knowing he had got Arthur trapped.

Arthur knew that he had run out of arguments too and sighed with frustration.

Harry walked over to Lena in the next room and she looked up at his entry and smiled.

"You've certainly done a lot, and for no recognition." Lena said with amazement at all the stuff that they had gotten up too. But then she did have some thoughts. "But have you diversified your funds to increase it? The tailor shop is good but it is still rather limiting." Lena said with some amazement that they had managed to expand as far as they had with this model. Harry smiled before telling her.

"I would be interested to hear those ideas of yours. But there is a man I would like to introduce you too." Harry said and Lena got up and followed him to a room were a man about Harry's age with a shaved head and a pair glasses like Harry's on his face was working . He turned to see them enter and Harry introduced them.

"Lena, this is Merlin. The Quartermaster and Gadget maker of Kingsman. Merlin could you please show her some of our equipment." Harry said and Merlin took his lead from him. Pulling out a box of some of the things they used. Lena looked at them with interest as he described.

"The gentleman needs gadgets that you would expect but not arose suspicion. This lighter for example is perfectly functional as you would expect but in reality...its a class four grenade." Merlin told her and walked her through some of the gadgets they had and she honestly felt like that they were in a James Bond movie or something like that but while they were in their way impressive, she had already had a lot of ideas.

"So, what do you think?" Merlin asked her and Lena smiled before saying.

"Not bad, but I can think of some improvements and new equipment that might be useful." Lena said with a hopeful look in her eyes and Merlin was actually looking eager.

"Then let's discuss some over lunch. I think I will enjoy working with you Miss Luthor." Merlin said not in the least annoyed at her presumption to put forward her ideas. That was relief Lena thought as they went to get something to eat, she was already looking forward to this and didn't want to have to deal with a territorial quartermaster.

It did not take long for Lena to accept the offer to join Kingsman, she liked the idea of being a part of something that was built solely to maintain peace and protect life.

She was somewhat disappointed that she couldn't become an agent but being offered to work on gadgets and suits of Kingsman was an exciting diversion and it did not take long for her to find something she could add.

"Silicon carbine discs with ceramic matrices and accompanied laminates. Underneath that a polymer to absorb and dissipate any impacts to prevent injury. Both are so thin that we can sow them between the fabric and the lining. Cutting edge body armour without distorting the shape of the suit. Makes anything without armour piercing rounds or a head shot much less dangerous." Lena said to Harry, Merlin and Arthur as she demonstrated what she had come up with. Their suits were good as it was but not perfect with several weak spots that Lena had just corrected.

To demonstrate her point Lena turned and fired a gun on the side of the table towards a dummy with an already modified suit on. The fabric did tear but the bullets didn't penetrate the armour.

"Impressive." Merlin said with a smile as he saw the immediate value of this and then Lena made another suggestion that might not go down so well.

"The suits that Kingsman make are distinctive but that is also a problem, they stand out. To that end it might be worth creating casual clothes for undercover operations that have the same protection. Not to mention updating the range of suits that Kingsman offers. More customers and therefore reach might be achieved achieved if Kingsman offered more styles of suit and to perhaps add more feminine cuts. Like these." Lena said, producing a series of pictures of different styles to them. "All of which can be enhanced with the new armour." Lena said and waited for a moment for them to make up their minds.

"Tradition." Arthur started to say but Harry smiled and interrupted.

"Is valuable but so is moving with the times. I have to admit I like the look of some casual clothes for undercover work. It would certainly bring the shop some more business." Harry said before seeing some stock market analysis sheets and asked her with a raised eyebrow. "What's that?" He asked and she nervously told them.

"Well, I wondered if Kingsman might consider investing its resources in a wider range of enterprises. To generate more revenue and expand our existing resources." Lena said with a hopeful look in her eye and not realising that she had said 'our' resources as if she were one of them.

"Anything in mind?" Arthur asked as he knew while the shop it did pay for itself did not contribute as much to the organisation as it could. He seemed to have forgotten the earlier resistance he had to any change as this new idea intrigued him. Lena pointed out a few.

"There is a brand of different alcohols in the US named Statesman. They make billions every year from their products. There is a chain of distilleries in Scotland that produce a number of different things we could brand with the Kingsman logo. Scotch, whisky, mead, cinder, brandy, rum, beer, vodka and so on. We could also branch out into wine, liquor, champagne...the list goes on." Lena said as she had a few ideas for making high quality alcohol that would sell really well. "Aside from that we could establish a trading company that allows for us to invest in already existing enterprises, we don't even need to brand it with the Kingsman logo." Lena explained. Arthur was immediately interested and said.

"I want solid plans on how to make the most of this on my desk next week. I will only consider it if you can show me it is effective." Arthur told her sternly and she nodded, actually eager to get started. He soon left with Harry to attend a briefing while Lena stayed with Merlin who smiled and told her.

"Arthur's impressed. He only makes demands like that when he is really interested. Maybe that's something you could run, the Kingsman brand." He said with a smirk which made her look a little annoyed.

"I would much prefer to be working on something like the gadgets." Lena said hoping she didn't just become a business manager but Merlin smiled and told her.

"No fear, I thought we could work on a number of different upgrades for the existing gadgets." Merlin said and Lena eagerly nodded.

"Let's get started." Lena said with a smile, eager to get to work.

Taking a leave of absence from Luthorcorp was remarkably easy, Lex was glad she was not there looking over his shoulder and so she was free to take all of the time that she wanted but even when she did regretfully have to go back she was still able to work with Kingsman in secret.

The new brand of alcohol was soon approved and established, they started with scotch, whisky and mead at first but soon started expanding as the different products began to make money. She had also helped set up the investment firm that allowed them to make capital from already established companies and both were starting to create a tidy profit. Arthur was actually pleased and gave her a codename of her own...Viviane after the Lady of the Lake that gave Excalibur to King Arthur in the legend. She was actually glad to hear that as she honestly felt like she was a part of this now, officially she was an analyst and a member of the technical department but also she was effectively the one who made the investments of Kingsman run smoothly.

She and Merlin would work diligently to improve the effectiveness of all the gadgets, making improvements and soon she had something else to show Arthur and Harry along with the other agents. All of them middle aged men but she didn't let the fact that she was the only woman in the room deter her from presenting her latest creations.

"The Kingsman glasses, functional and easily the best communication device. Now we've fitted it with an AI search engine that can help scan the database and the internet for useful information, meaning that you no longer need outside help. We've also created a number of different styles for various occasions." Lena said demonstrating the new features before moving on to two new things she had come up with.

She picked up a smartphone admittedly one with a new black casing and the Kingsman logo in gold on the back.

"Smartphone, functions perfectly as a normal phone with the apps and the things you would expect but underneath." Lena said as she pulled up the specs. "Capable of hacking nearby computer systems, lock-pick for electronic locks and codebreaker with AI support. Long range camera and microphone for surveillance, x-ray feature for the camera, fingerprint scanner and duplicator. It also is designed to operate the next innovation." Lena said with a smirk as she put the phone down and picking up a small silver orb.

"On the surface, simple metal Chinese worry ball. In reality however." Lena said as she tapped the side of the ball which unrolled itself like woodlice into a small insect like drone that began to hover above her hand. "Small enough to be easily missed and able to fit into small areas like vents or ducts for surveillance or sabotage."

Lena then shut down the drone which fell into her hand and rolled back into a ball. The agents looked at the new equipment and some of them even seemed impressed.

"I want those field tested before being put into full use." Arthur said as he took hold of the phone. "Good job, very good job Viviane."

"Thank you." Lena said, eager now to see just how useful her creations would be in the field. Harry smiled and as the other agents went their own separate ways he came over to her and told her with pride.

"Bloody well done. Only a couple of months in and already you've managed to make some big waves here." Harry said, feeling vindicated that his faith in her was not misplaced. Lena smiled and told him.

"It feels good, I mean ever since I lost my mother...and I think about her everyday, I just want to do some good in the world. My stepfather, my stepmother and my stepbrother...they were or still are terrible people. It would be so easy to just be like them but..." Lena said with her voice now touched by emotion. Harry nodded and offered her his handkerchief for her to wipe her eyes of any tears before finishing her sentence.

"That's not you. Not at your core, I am sad to hear that you lost your mother so young and I know that you probably blamed yourself for it and still do sometimes even if there was nothing you could have done. But instead of letting that pain transform you into a monster you have tried your best to change yourself into a better person. One that is determined to be a force for good and change in the world." Harry said as he put his hand on her shoulder as she did her best to wipe her tears away. "That is an achievement worthy of any knight and certainly worthy of a Kingsman. There is so much you can achieve Lena if only you believe in yourself and trust yourself as I trust you." Harry said with a smile and Lena honestly was now crying silently as he said that. No-one had ever said that to her and she was struggling to keep her emotions in check.

"You really mean that?" Lena asked tentatively and Harry gave her a warm hug that she returned.

"I do, if I didn't then you wouldn't be here. I trust my instincts and you must learn to trust yours. You are a better woman than most that I have ever met outside of my grandmother rest her soul...that woman was the best baker and cook you could ever imagine." Harry said with a smile. "Let your imagination flow Lena and I have no doubt you will discover there is little you can't do."

Lena was honestly almost broken at that, the sheer amount of faith he had in her was honestly heart breaking. She was now terrified of letting him down and told him.

"I wish I could see all of that." Lena said and Harry told her.

"You will in time. Now, enough of this mushy stuff. Would you like to learn how to fight?" Harry offered and eager for the diversion Lena nodded with a smile.

- x -

Harry was as good as his word and she started her fight training, she had been a bit inept to say the least at first but with practice she was improving daily. Lena also spent time in the shooting range to improve her marksmanship. But primarily she continued to work on improving gadgets and making new ones including the pen laser cutter and gloves which could stick to any surface to aid climbing.

Her idea for the alcohol brand was really taking off, she thought with satisfaction as it was now turning a good profit and expanding the resources available to Kingsman. The investment firm was doing really well too and the new styles and clothes offered by the shop was getting them more clients than ever. VR Training suites were proving exceptionally useful in helping with simulating all sorts of environments and situations without actually having to make them in real life.

Lena smiled as she saw her devices being put to good use and helping to save lives across the world, Harry would always tell her what he had been up to and even showed her his house with all of the newspaper front pages from the days he had gone on missions. She had enjoyed his lessons on table manners even if she knew all of them already, Harry liked to tell her about butterflies as well showing her his impressive collection although she thought having his late dog Mr Pickles stuffed in his bathroom was somewhat morbid but he did explain just why Kingsman made them take care of a puppy, bond with it and then shoot it albeit with a blank. It was a horrible test but she was just grateful she would never have to do it, given she was not an agent.

Her imagination did expand as Harry had said it would, she had so many ideas that she was working on not just for Kingsman but for the future of the world. Atmosphere Collection Platforms that floated in the sky and absorbed pollution to clear the air, Ion fission engines for space travel, a crawler that could clean the sea bed of pollution, growing artificial clone skin for skin grafts, a 3D Neuro Imager that allowed the body to be scanned to look for problems or illness, robots capable of working inside the most dangerous environments imaginable and using the nanomachines that she and Jack had been working on for medical purposes. Jack didn't take her working long distance too well but without bringing him in there was nothing she could do about it. She might have to tell him eventually but for now she was keeping that to herself.

She would tell Harry about them and show him her designs and he would nod in approval at how much of a benefit these things could be to everyone. One day he could well imagine her finding a way to see it done he would tell her. More than that he let her in on a secret that Kingsman had been holding for about fifty years.

A physicist from East Germany named Bernhardt Vogel in the early sixties had developed a viable method of Cold Fusion. Lena had almost thought Harry was joking but surprisingly he hadn't been. Vogel had been trying to get to West Germany to join his family there but an assassin had tried to kill him. While Kingsman hadn't been able to save him he had given them the secret of Cold Fusion but as so many powerful people would oppose it they had kept it to themselves for a time when it would be more welcomed.

Lena almost choked, Kingsman had the secret of Cold Fusion all this time and it could save the world but for fifty years they had done nothing with it. Harry had let Lena see the notes Vogel had left and seeing it laid out before her made it seem so simple she had no idea just why no one else had figured it out. So she began to design a workable cold fusion reactor, all of this was still in her head or computer and not in physical world yet but she would find a way to make it reality.

Lena was working away in her lab one day, she was perfecting a mimetic camouflage sheet which could project mimic the environment around it for stealth when she heard about Lancelot dying. She was not a part of the meeting but she respectfully bowed her head, she hadn't known him very well but he has always been perfectly polite to her and even complimented her on her gadgets which she thought was nice.

That meant a new agent was to be recruited and she couldn't help but wonder just who would get the job. Hopefully someone actually worthy of being a Kingsman she thought but probably some upper class boy she concluded sadly. She knew many of the agents came from similar circles and it was where they usually recruited from, to be honest she wasn't sure they were the best recruits especially as many of them were entitled idiots and she knew their type. Throughout the private schools she had been put in there had been plenty of them, and all of them thought the world owed them something.

Harry she knew would find a capable recruit.

Two days later the recruits arrived but she had no interaction with them, she didn't really mind as she saw in the files that most of them were exactly the sort of entitled arseholes that she had expected...all but two she noted.

Harry and Percival had chosen interesting people; a young man named Gary Unwin also known as Eggsy who was a kid from London's rougher areas who had a fairly interesting criminal record but the signs of a highly capable agent were there in both physical skills and a high intelligence rating. The other was Roxanne Morton, a middle class girl from a military family. She too had some of the aspects you needed in an agent, intelligence, bravery and dedication.

Either would be a good fit for Kingsman, Lena reasoned.

But a couple of days later, she heard Harry had been injured.

She rushed over to the medical area and saw him, injured by an exploding head as hard as that was to believe. She sat next to him and stared, worried as she knew the longer he was in this coma the less chance he would come out of it. She sat at his bedside and held his hand, almost willing for him to come back.

The door opened and she barely noticed it but she looked up to see who it was, expecting it to be Merlin come to check on Harry or even Arthur to tell her to get back to work. But instead it was Mr Unwin, he looked at Harry in the bed and then at her in confusion. Knowing she should introduce herself Lena got up and walked over.

"Mr Unwin I presume. I'm Lena, but Kingsman calls me Viviane." Lena said as she extended her hand. He shook it before asking her.

"Everyone calls me Eggsy, nice to meet you too." Eggsy told her with a smile that was sad namely because like her he was deeply worried about Harry. "You Harry's bird or something?"

"Excuse me?!" Lena said slightly taken aback and more than a little annoyed at the assumption that she was sleeping with Harry. Eggsy seemed to realise his mistake and tried to make amends.

"Sorry, meant no disrespect. It's just your the only lady I've seen around here and you clearly like Harry being here at his bedside." Eggsy said and Lena while still annoyed bit her tongue to stop from saying what she wanted to say and instead explained.

"Harry saved my life." Lena said to Eggsy who listened while looking at the prone Harry on the bed. "I was kidnapped and he rescued me, he invited me to join Kingsman and has been one of the few people to look past my family."

"Saved me too. Said I could be a gentleman." Eggsy said thinking back on how Harry had gotten him out of jail and more than one beating already not to mention look past his previous mistakes in the hopes that he could be more. "He'll wake up. He has too." Eggsy said and Lena nodded.

"He will, you're doing well in your training or so I hear from Merlin." Lena said trying to speak desperately on something else as they sat down next to Harry.

"Hope so. The rest of those guys are wankers, cept Roxy." Eggsy said and Lena managed a small smile before telling him.

"I know, why someone would ever think they would make good agents I will never understand." Lena said and they started talking about their backgrounds. She learned his father had been a Kingsman candidate and when he was killed his mother had fallen apart and met his stepfather who was the sort of man that made Lena's skin crawl. The stuff he had made Eggsy go through and derailed what could have been a promising start made her want to use some of her skills to ensure he was locked up forever and would look into that the moment she was able.

In turn she told him about her mother, living with the Luthors and while she hadn't suffered half as badly as he had they found some common ground in their less than stellar family life but the fact Eggsy was so protective of his mother and his little sister was surprising. He wanted dearly to get them away from his stepfather and to take care of them himself so that was his reason for doing this, not to mention becoming something more than the street kid he was.

"I think your mother and sister are lucky to have you." Lena said with a warm smile, seeing how much he loved them even if his mother had hurt him by bringing his stepfather into his life. It certainly made her more grateful for the life she had been given by Lionel and Lillian, if it had not been for their kindness at taking her in who knows where she might have ended up Lena thought with a shudder at the possibilities.

"I'm lucky to have them." Eggsy said, surprised that the sister of the super arsehole Lex Luthor was not just working for Kingsman but was so nice. She was so smart but she really cared.

"And we're both lucky to have Harry." Lena said with a look in his direction. "He saw things in me that no one else did, he looked past Lex and saw me. Says I don't have to be like the rest of my family." Lena said with a look of genuine affection.

Eggsy couldn't help but agree especially as Harry had done the same thing for him.

None of them noticed the slight smile from Harry, seemingly like he could hear them.

A couple of weeks later and Harry having woken up, she now was taking some time to try and do some of her own work rather than just Kingsman, Lena was on a plane with some excitement in her eyes as she was hoping to convince some different business owners to fund some of her projects. She hated flying but was doing her best to suppress it and it was easier as the plane had not left the tarmac yet. She sat in her seat but surprisingly the hatch was still open but there were no other passengers or flight crew, she was about to get up and look around when she saw someone else boarding. Relieved that someone else was on the plane she then saw who it was and blinked in surprise.

"Lena Luthor." Richmond Valentine said with his lisp. Lena's raised an eyebrow at his unexpected appearance as she knew of him, who didn't she thought but at the same time she knew he had his own private jet. He always flew private so why was he getting on a public plane? Not to mention despite having never met personally he looked pleased to see her and knew who she was. That set her on edge, her instincts screaming that something wasn't right.

"Mr Valentine, don't take this the wrong way but why are you here? You have your own plane don't you." Lena said carefully and he just smiled as he walked in, smirking in an almost smug way.

"Well, I heard from some friends of mine that you have some ideas that could help save the planet so I thought we might have a chat. But first I think we need to have a change of scenery. Gazelle." He said and Lena turned in time to see a woman with artificial legs start coming towards her, her training from Kingsman kicked in and she made to move but she felt herself be hit with a dart in the back of the neck. She turned and saw Valentine holding a dart gun in his hand, smiling at her as she felt whatever drug they had shot into her take over and she fell down to the floor as she passed out.

Cells, Valentine's Bunker...

When Lena woke up she saw painted rocky walls and was resting on a reasonably comfy bed, she looked around and saw that this was clearly a cell. The heavy reinforced door at the other side made that abundantly clear, she looked carefully around for anything she could use while thinking through what she did know.

She knew that Valentine and Lex disliked each other, Lex being one of the few people who was smarter than him and Valentine for daring to think he was better than Lex. But what exactly could merit this kind of act she had no idea. She resisted the urge to bang on the door and demand to know what was going on and instead continued to study her cell to look for anything useful.

Natural stone walls, rough so they were likely underground, maybe a mine or natural cave system that Valentine had converted into a bunker for himself. She looked around the room and saw a bed and a round sofa with a table but all of them were bolted to the floor and there was only a sink and toilet which were secured exactly the same way.

Clearly Valentine wanted her to be comfortable she reasoned and then went over to the door and saw no sign of any panel she could remove on this side. It was thick metal and secured magnetically given how it refused to budge no matter how much of her weight she pressed against it.

At this moment she felt incredibly stupid for not having any Kingsman gadgets with her, she hadn't thought she'd need them and all she could do was get herself a drink of water and sit on the sofa to wait for whenever he decided to come and see her.

Hours passed and she tried to distract herself by working on some calculations for her cold fusion reactor or other such projects in her head but it was incredibly dull. Finally though she heard someone outside of her cell door and she got up and walked over as the slide on the door opened, revealing Valentine on the other side.

"Normally I can come up with some logical reason for most things but what the fuck are doing Valentine?" Lena asked with anger creeping into her voice. He didn't look affected and just told her.

"You have a great mind, I saw your design for the atmospheric processors and the other stuff. Its revolutionary and once V-Day is done, I knew you can be of big help in cleaning up the planet. That's why I made sure you'd be safe." Valentine told her and her instincts leapt up at the mention of one thing.

"What's V-Day?" She asked with worry at what ever he was planning.

Valentine quite proudly told her and she honestly thought she was gonna be sick when she heard it. He was going to use free SIM cards to spread a signal across the world all from his own desk to drive everyone except those he had protected with an implant and the few who he had locked up here like her into a homicidal rage, keeping them killing each other until he had 'culled' enough people to bring down the population to 'a manageable level'.

As a solution to climate change and over population.

The sheer lunacy of this plan, the complete disregard for human life beggared belief, not even Lex would do something like this.

"Are you crazy!?" Lena demanded as she looked at him in disgust. "Saving the rich and mindlessly slaughtering everyone else! There is no discrimination, children won't stand a chance against their own parents! Babies none at all! Patients in hospitals who can't move! Not to mention you have no control over who survives and who dies! This is madness." She implored him but he was unmoved and told her with complete certainty.

"I can see you will need some time to come around, then once you've agreed to my conditions you'll be free to go. Then you and I can have a talk about Luthorcorp." He said, before closing the hatch and she screamed out in anger, banging her fists against the door in frustration but all she succeeded in doing was hurting herself. She fell to her knees and tears ran from her eyes as she knew without a miracle there was no chance of her getting out of this cell on her own. If only she could contact Kingsman, they'd stop this she thought desperately but there was no way for her to do that. She could hear shouts and screams from other people that presumably were prisoners like her, it was something of a comfort to know that not everyone was onboard with this mad scheme of his but it was for nothing as they were prisoners just like her.

She realised as she lay there that it was not just her new designs that he wanted, he wanted to use her to control Luthercorp as well after she presumed he got rid of Lex. She almost smirked at his idiocy as Lex was not so easy to kill and would more than likely get Valentine first, she was hoping he would but that would be too late she thought as she curled up into a ball, millions of people were going to die and she had no way to stop it. She was nice and safe here in this cell while everyone else perished at the hands of this lunatic! She thought and just hoped that Harry, Eggsy and the others survived this...she thought about Sam and Ruby, please let them be okay she prayed not to mention Jack she thought, her sort of boyfriend coming to mind.

She just sat there for some time, planning an escape but having to discount every single method she thought of as unless they opened that door, she would not be able to get out.

Days Later...V-Day...

Lena was doing sit-ups and push-ups to try and distract herself from what was happening out there, to make sure she was ready in case an opportunity came to get out of this cell. She had tried to attract the attention of some guards to maybe even lure one into her cell but they solidly ignored her except when they brought food which was slipped through a hatch at the bottom of the door. She had thought about trying to escape when they opened it but the slot was too small, she had tried to use something non conductive to break the lock but it was on the other side of the door and every other little idea had been similarly futile.

She was depressed but there was nothing she could do, here she was with an IQ north of two hundred and she couldn't figure out how to get through a bloody door! She thought with that old rage coming back so she continued with her exercises.

Then she heard something.

Gunfire! She realised and quickly got to her feet that maybe someone had noticed what Valentine was doing and she pressed her ear to the door and heard a familiar voice.

"Merlin...you're a fuckin genius."

"Eggsy! Is that you?!" Lena called out and a moment later she heard the hatch being opened and Eggsy with a pair of Kingsman glasses on appeared through. He looked shocked to see her.

"Lena! What the fuck you doing here?" He asked her but she just told him.

"Never mind that now, just let me out!" She said desperately and then the door clicked open, so did all of the others she noticed as she pushed the door open and saw other people doing the same while looking horrified at the headless guards. But Lena saw a tablet attached to the belt of a guard nearby and ran for it. She grabbed it and turned it on, it was painfully slow but she was able to get in and thankfully it had internet access.

"You're not the only one with satellites." Lena said as she worked the pad frantically to access the Luthercorp mainframe, fortunately she knew the access codes and then tapped into the Luthorcorp satellite network. "Take this ass hole!" She said and activated her signal. She smiled briefly as his signal stopped.

"What you doing?" Eggsy asked her as she worked the tablet frantically, he been distracted by a blonde woman about their age who had been in the cell next to hers.

"My brother's company has satellites too. I am using the Luthorcorp network to transmit a jamming signal, its blocks Valentine's out." Lena told him and the blonde woman asked her with hope in her eyes.

"Have you stopped it?!" She asked with a Swedish accent and Lena frowned as she saw Valentine trying to fight back and she had to resume modifying her signal.

"I can keep it at bay but I am going to be fighting him every moment so get in there and get his hand off that desk!" She said to Eggsy who nodded and ran off to find Valentine. The Swedish woman to her credit was getting the other former prisoners organised, some picking up weapons dropped by the now dead guards to keep her protected so she could concentrate on keeping Valentine from continuing his signal.

"So what's your name?" The Swedish woman asked and Lena who was busy with her own problem answered off hand.

"Lena Luthor, you?" She said as she had to stop him changing bandwidth to throw her off.

"Tilde. Princess Tilde." She said and Lena was surprised but nodded now she knew who she was. "Do you think he can stop him?" She asked Lena who nodded, despite not knowing Eggsy that well knew his resolve would make sure he kept going.

"He'll stop them. We just have to make sure Valentine doesn't do any more damage before he can." Lena said as she worked furiously to keep Valentine from continuing his plan.

"If he does, I said we can do in the ass hole." Tilde mentioned and Lena raised her eyebrow at that but shrugged.

"If that's what you're into fine. Not my cup of tea but to everyone their own." Lena said and Tilde smiled before saying.

"You'd be surprised." She almost made Lena stop in shock but she had to turn her concentration back onto keeping Valentine at bay.

Minutes passed and her fingers were starting to get tired from the incredible speed she was having to move them to keep up but then just as she was worried he might cut her access the signal stopped.

Lena waited, wondering if he was fooling with her but it didn't resume. She quickly accessed the security cameras and saw that Eggsy had killed Valentine and she smiled.

"Yes! He did it." She told them and everyone cheered, Lena sighed in relief as did Tilde. They all wandered over to main hall and saw Eggsy standing there with a smile on his face. The amount of dead headless bodies around was disturbing but given that they been okay with Valentine's plan the former prisoners couldn't really feel that much sympathy for people willing to kill millions of innocent people.

"Well done Eggsy. Harry will be proud." Lena said with a smile, surprised given that Eggsy was here that Harry wasn't here with him. Eggsy's face lost the smile as he realised that Lena didn't know what had happened to Harry.

"Lena...there's something you should know." Eggsy said solemnly. His tone made a chill down her spine as she realised just what Eggsy was going to tell her.

"No...not Harry." She said desperately hoping he was wrong but the tears gathering in his eyes told her it was true. She felt her heart shatter at the fact that possibly the one real father figure in her life had been killed, she was numb as she was brought to the Kingsman jet and seeing Merlin did little to boost her flagging spirits as they all got on board.

She did her best to be objective, trying to focus on something other than the pain of losing Harry. Tilde did her best to care for her but she didn't really respond. Arriving in London she saw the smoke trails and wondered just how much damage Valentine had done in the minutes that he had been able to broadcast the signal, worse she got a call that Lex was demanding she come to Metropolis and explain just why she had used his satellites without permission. That was not a conversation she wanted to have and so she put it aside.

She sat in the meeting room, Merlin had told her a senior member of Kingsman named Sir Giles was taking over as the previous Arthur had been in league with Valentine but sadly that didn't surprise her somehow and she found herself joined by Eggsy and Roxy. She hadn't really met the other young woman yet but she seemed nice. She managed a smile before saying to Eggsy.

"I'm sorry, I know he meant a lot to you too." Lena said to Eggsy who nodded and told her.

"I know, he meant a lot to both of us. So we carry on."

Roxy and her nodded before they all took some of the whisky Kingsman had, not the really special stuff but a more recent batch. All of them took a drink before she got a call from Lex. Groaning she answered it.

"I told you to get to Metropolis now! You had better have a good excuse for using those satellites." Lex demanded and maybe it was the fact she was still hurting from losing Harry, maybe the whisky gave her some liquid courage or maybe she had grown some more backbone since joining Kingsman but this time she didn't just take his demands or try to be diplomatic. She just let him have it!

"Shut the fuck up you self involved prick! This has had the barest amount to do with you! I did it solely to stop the massacre of countless people and it saved your life too since Valentine was going to kill you at the first opportunity so why don't you be a little grateful for once. I am not coming to Metropolis...I am staying where I am so go and suck your own overinflated fucking ego!" Lena nearly shouted down the phone at him while Eggsy and Roxy stood looking at her in surprise but Eggsy was soon smiling as she let her brother know how she felt before hanging up.

The silence in the room was complete and Roxy smiled before saying.

"Good on you."

"Thank you, that has been long overdue." Lena said, knowing she should have stood up to Lex a long time ago. "Kingsman is going to be busy for a long time, Valentine had that signal on for awhile and who knows how much damage he managed to do not to mention most of the world leaders were in his pocket so the governments of the world are now leaderless."

"Well at least you have grasped that." A voice said and they looked over to see an old man with white hair. "There will be a lot of missions to do and since we have no Galahad and he did stop Valentine I will consent to Mr Unwin taking on that role. Miss Luthor will likely be used as auxiliary agent, if she's up to it." He said sharply and while it deeply grated Lena held her tongue and told him.

"Of course, Arthur." She said with gritted teeth to try and be respectful.

"This is going to be hell. So prepare to receive your assignments." Sir Giles said coldly and they all nodded. It was going to be a long time before things were quiet again they all realised.

There we are, I hope you all enjoyed it! I am thinking of doing a second part set in Golden Circle so please review and let me know what you think.

Some of you may have noticed a little nod to John Wick who inspired the body armour Lena creates for Kingsman although I did make a couple of small changes.

Something that might surprise you is when I looked up the dates of birth for Eggsy and Lena, he was actually born nearly a year before her! Eggsy was born in 1992 and Lena was born in 1993.
