Arriving at the park with 10 minutes to spare Athena watched as the Splinter team disappeared in their vehicle. Where they would be stationed, she had no clue. She just knew they would be close. She glanced over when her car door opened and saw Ransone slide in. His face mulish and unhappy that he wasn't running the operation.

"Athena. This is a bad idea. Your friends don't know what they are doing. There is no one to cover her out there when she gets here. We have no plainclothes and no back up."

"No idea what they are doing, Lou? These are trained military operatives. I'm pretty sure they know exactly what they are doing, and have done this many times before. And we are not alone. Her men are out there. Somewhere." Athena said with a hint irritation in her voice. She might not know exactly what their training had entailed or what they had experienced, but she did know that they were all highly trained and dangerous.

'Tell Ransone to keep his thought to himself. As long as we follow Buck's plan, it'll be fine. She knows what she is doing'
Steve muttered in her ear.

Athena tried to look for the men in the park, but could not find them and Ransone saw her searching for something and gazed out the window, searching for who knows what.

"You won't see them Lou. Buck has her team out there somewhere. They have the area under surveillance and we have Eddie somewhere aswell, to provide medical care if Chimmney needs it."

'Heads up, dark sedan headed your way Viper' Steve murmured into the earpiece to those who had their ears in.
Athena sent a glance to the rearview mirror.

Before Lou could comment they saw a silver Nissan sedan with tintend windows pull up across the street and a man get out of the car and approach where Buck stood leaned back against a large oak tree.

"Chief. Finally we meet at long last."
"Adama, cut the chitchat. Get your hostage here, now?"
"Staight to business i see, very well." with that Adama turned and gestured to the car and the back doors opend, another man got out and rounded the car door to pull out Chim, who was bound and gagged. They pulled the man towards where Adama and Buck stood.

Buck gave them a glare as she took in Chim's appearance she raised her eyebrow at Chim in silent question, to which the man just nodded his head in reassurance that he was fine.

"As you can see," Adama gestured,"unharmed."

"Alright, so untie the man and let him go, and take me"

Chim's eyes widend in fear as he heard what Buck had to say.
Before Adama could respond there was a screech of rubber and everyone turned to look at the edge of the lot and saw a patrol cruiser ground to a halt, both officers jumped out and drew their weapons

"LAPD! Let the man go!" the older of the two officers yelled

'FUCK!' Buck thought as she turned to the officers, knowing this was about to get ugly, unsless she chould somehow find a way to deescalate the situation

"You were told to come alone Chief" Adama hissed as one of his men grabbed Chim, while Adama grabbed Buck, pulling her close to his body, knife held dangerously close to her pulse point.

"Officers, i suggest you turn around get back in your vehicle, and leave. Otherwise you will die." Adama snarled at the officers as he and Buck moved back towards the cars.

"Adama, you got what wanted. Let Chim go. Leaving him behind will buy you the time you need to get away. Think about it a gagged man left behind will force the cops to stay and help him. Worst they could do is call in back up and the description of the vehicles. And i know you can ditch the cars ueasy enough." Buck said to Adama, hoping to talk some sense into the man and letting him release Chim.

"You didn't hold up your part of the deal Chief. So no, your friend comes with" Adama said coldly as he slammed his fist into her temple, knocking her out, the last thing she heard was the officers yelling and her team talking in her ear, and Chim's frantic voice behind the gag.
