Pedro walked from the workshop to the specimen room, but paused at the door, hearing Mr. Muntz talking.
"It's always been you," he was saying. "I will find you someday."
Pedro glanced around the corner, and saw the American looking at an artist's rendering of a large bird. Nobody else appeared to be in the room, so he knocked on the doorframe to announce his presence.
"Who is it?" the man asked.
"Pedro, sir."
"Did you finish the case?"
"Yes, sir. It's by the open window so the varnish can dry."
"Very good, very good. Soon, we'll have more room."
