The Path of a Hero

Izuku Midoriya stood in front of the massive gates of U.A. High School, the most prestigious hero academy in Japan. His heart pounded in his chest, his hands clenched into fists, but he didn't tremble. Not anymore.

He inhaled sharply, the cold morning air filling his lungs. This is it. This is what I trained for.

For ten long months, he had trained under Zack Fair, a hero from another world—his guardian, mentor, and inspiration. Under Zack's guidance, Izuku had transformed. Gone was the scrawny, weak boy who had once cried at the idea of being quirkless.

Now, he stood strong.

Now, he had a legacy to uphold.

Now, he would prove them all wrong.

A familiar sneer cut through his thoughts.

"The fuck are you doing here, Deku?" Bakugo Katsuki's voice was sharp and laced with contempt. He walked up, towering over Izuku, his crimson eyes burning with hostility. "Seriously? You think you can just walk into U.A. and take the exam like you're worth something?"

Izuku turned to face his childhood friend—his childhood bully. The old him would have shrunk back, stammered, maybe even apologized for being in Bakugo's way. But Zack's training had burned that weakness away.

Izuku exhaled slowly, forcing himself to stay calm. "I'm here to become the number one hero, Kacchan."

Bakugo's lips curled into a sneer. "The number one hero? Don't make me laugh! Get the hell out of here, loser! This exam's for people with real powers—not some wannabe with a fake dream!"

The old Izuku might have let those words destroy him.

But Zack's voice echoed in his mind:

"People will always try to bring you down, Izuku. What matters is that you stand up and prove them wrong."

So, he stood his ground. "I'm not leaving."

Bakugo scoffed. "Tch. Whatever. Just don't cry when you fail."

With that, Bakugo turned and walked away, shoving past another student—a girl with short brown hair.

Izuku released a breath he hadn't realized he was holding. His heart still pounded, but he smiled.

This was just the beginning.

Zack's Training: Ten Months of Hell

Ten months ago, Izuku had been weak. His body was frail, untrained. But Zack had given him a gift—knowledge, power, and belief.

1st Month: Physical Training
Zack had him running at sunrise, doing hundreds of push-ups, squats, and weight training.

"Strength isn't given, kid—it's earned."

Izuku had gritted his teeth through every workout, his body screaming in protest. But Zack had been there, pushing him forward, never letting him give up.

3rd Month: Combat Training
Zack had drilled hand-to-hand combat into him. Blocks, counters, strikes—it had been brutal, but Izuku learned. His hands became weapons. His body, once weak, had hardened.

"A hero isn't just strong—they know how to fight. You won't always have your powers, kid. Sometimes, your fists are all you've got."

5th Month: Magic and Materia Creation
Izuku had struggled to grasp the mystical energy Zack had introduced him to. Materia—solidified energy in crystal form—allowed him to wield elemental attacks.

Lightning was the first element he managed to create. A small, glowing blue sphere of power. He had held it in his palm, amazed.

"You're quirkless by this world's standards, but you've got something no one else does. Learn to master it, and you'll show them all."

By the eighth month, he had become stronger than he had ever imagined.

The Exam Begins

Izuku walked toward the massive auditorium, where students gathered for the written test. His focus remained sharp. Zack had prepared him for everything.

He found a seat and noticed the girl Bakugo had nearly knocked over earlier. She fidgeted nervously, tapping her fingers against her desk.

Izuku smiled at her. "Are you okay?"

She looked up, surprised. "Oh! Y-yeah! Thanks for asking." She smiled back, a little embarrassed. "I'm Ochako Uraraka."

"I'm Izuku Midoriya. Nice to meet you."

Before they could continue, Present Mic took the stage, his voice booming.

"WHAT'S UP, FUTURE HEROES?! ARE YOU READY TO GET THIS TEST STARTED?!"

The students cheered. Izuku clenched his fists.

"Let's do this."

The Practical Exam – Robot Rampage

The students stood in front of a massive training ground—a simulated city filled with massive combat robots of various sizes.

Izuku took a deep breath. His time had come.

"You've trained for this, Izuku. You're ready."

Present Mic's voice boomed over the speakers.

"READY… SET… GO!"

Chaos erupted.

Students surged forward, unleashing their quirks—explosions, lasers, super strength. Robots were being torn apart left and right.

Izuku ran forward, weaving between the destruction.

His first target—a two-pointer robot—lunged at him.

"NOW!"

Izuku clenched his fist, focusing on his Materia. Sparks danced along his fingers as he charged the small blue crystal embedded in his glove.

"THUNDER!"

A bolt of lightning shot from his palm, striking the robot's head. Its circuits fried instantly, and the machine collapsed in a smoking heap.

Izuku grinned. "One down."

But there was no time to celebrate. A massive three-pointer loomed ahead, raising a spiked arm to smash him.

Izuku dodged to the side, channeling another spell.

"Don't just rely on magic—use everything you've got."

Zack's words rang in his head. Izuku rolled under the robot, using his momentum to launch himself up, landing a powerful roundhouse kick to its exposed core.

CRACK!

The robot shuddered before collapsing.

Izuku wiped sweat from his brow. This was working. He was keeping up.

Then, the ground trembled.

A massive Zero-Pointer—the colossal obstacle robot—rose above the battlefield, its sheer size casting a shadow over everything.

Students ran in panic.

Izuku turned to run—until he heard a scream.

Ochako.

She was trapped beneath debris, her ankle pinned. The robot's massive hand rose above her, ready to crush her.

Izuku's heart pounded. He could run. He could ignore it like everyone else.

But that's not what Zack would do.

And it sure as hell wasn't what he would do.

"Damn it—MOVE!"

Izuku's legs propelled him forward. He sprinted toward the debris, grabbing a chunk of metal and hurling it aside.

"Uraraka!" he called. "I've got you!"

Her eyes widened. "M-Midoriya?! What are you—"

The shadow loomed over them.

"I won't make it in time."

Unless…

Izuku clenched his fist. The energy within him surged, something deep inside him awakening.

A Limit Break.

"RUSH IMPACT!"

His body blurred. His muscles burned as he moved faster than ever before.

In an instant, he slammed his fist into the Zero-Pointer's massive leg. A shockwave erupted from the impact.

BOOM!

The robot staggered.

Izuku jumped, using the force of his attack to propel himself into the air. His eyes glowed with pure determination.

He landed a final explosive punch to the robot's head.

CRASH!

The Zero-Pointer collapsed.

The battlefield fell silent.

Aftermath

Izuku lay on the ground, panting. His entire body ached, but he smiled.

The buzzer rang, signaling the end of the exam.

He had done it.

He had proved Bakugo wrong.

He had proved everyone wrong.

As he lay there, exhausted but victorious, Zack's voice echoed in his mind.

"Told ya, kid. You had it in you all along."

Izuku smiled.

"I did it, Zack. I really did it."
