Ulrich362: The leader of the Knights of Hanoi has made his presence known.

bopdog111: He has some different motivations but it doesn't change his plans as previously spoken.

Ulrich362: True, it doesn't... though he's definitely going to be more suspicious of Playmaker and Zavala.

bopdog111: And he has shown up a little after the match that Fiora, and Zavala.

Ulrich362: True, what's going to happen now?

bopdog111: Well let's see what's going to happen here shall we?

Ulrich362: We shall, enjoy the chapter.

Everyone was staring at the new guest, Varis in shock. The leader of the Knights of Hanoi, here in plain sight for them all to see? Why is he here? Correction they do know why, he is here for Ai, the Ignis, that he, and his organization had been trying to go after for a such a long time. And now he is here to collect while Playmaker, and Zavala are trapped by Akira for the anti-virus that he had thought they both had.

For Varis he is only staring towards Playmaker, and Zavala. Playmaker cause he has the DARK Ignis, who is what his organization needs to fully eradicate the Cyberse once, and for all, and Zavala from what he, and his father discussed over with the LIGHT Ignis. If Zavala really is a part of this large demon threat that his father had discussed to him about, then Zavala is a far bigger threat then the Ignis. However, for now he will still follow along with the original plan in case they don't need the LIGHT Ignis' help. He will keep an eye on Zavala however in case things go wrong.

"What does the leader of the Knights of Hanoi have to do with this?" Fiora asked in confusion. Just then her eyes widen when she had realized something. "That... don't tell me they were telling the truth about Blue Angel!"

Hearing her Varis turned over towards her. "If by that you talking about the virus placed onto her."

"That's what we were saying, we tried to help Blue Angel, it was the Hanoi who hurt her." Ai told them.

"And right now, I intend to focus on Playmaker, and Zavala." Varis then turned over towards Akira who is still keeping the two in place. "So now Zaizen, release the two from your grip, I have business to do with them."

"What do you intend to do?"

"I want to duel them, so I can see what they can do, and then take the Ignis from them." Varis spoke towards him before then raising an arm. "If you refuse, perhaps you like a demonstration of my power?" At that building up around his arm was a large Data Storm as it build around him.

"What is he doing?" Zavala questioned seeing that.

"I have the power to control all the storms... I can even destroy Link VRAINS itself should I wish it." Varis spoke towards Akira who stepped back before he dispelled of the storm around him. "However, for this mission I have taken, I don't wish to harm it much. So Zaizen what will it be? Release them, and your sister will awaken? Or have me destroy Link VRAINS, and your only chance to bring her back with it?"

Akira flinched as he released Playmaker and Zavala. "You two better not make me regret this..."

Playmaker, and Zavala settled on the ground themselves as Varis turned towards them. "Now then..." He walked over towards them. "You both really had became a threat under my eyes... but we will fix that here. Should you two win, I will surrender the anti-virus for Blue Angel. However, I win, then you will surrender the DARK Ignis to me."

"Fine, I accept your challenge." Playmaker told Varis.

Varis smirked over before he manifested a Duel Board. "Then out onto the streets then... And Zavala, this extends to you for you to watch, I am after both of you after all." With that said he hops on riding off.

"Playmaker... Zavala..." Akira started uncertainly.

"Zaizen... We will free your sister no matter what it takes." Zavala spoke towards him. "I'm sorry for what Blue Angel is going through right now... but you have our word we will save her." They owe this towards Akira, no matter what they will save Blue Angel from this curse.

"You will save her, won't you?" Fiora asked him nervously.

"Yes, we will." Zavala nodded towards her. It would pain him if they don't manage to save Blue Angel, he owes that match towards Fiora. He had accepted the duel with her to try having her listen they aren't the culprits, and try to make things right with her, but with Varis here they have a chance to rescue Blue Angel.

"Thank you..." she whispered.

"Playmaker, Zavala... I don't understand how you could be so quick to help me after what I just did." Akira frowned.

Playmaker stares at where Varis had gone. Then he lifted up three fingers. "If you want to know Zaizen, then there are three reasons why we are."

He turned over lifting a single finger. "1. We won't sacrifice or refuse to help others that had been hurt by the Hanoi, or anyone else suffering for our benefit." He lifted up the second one. "2. Varis is the key for both me, and Zavala to learn the truth of the past, and as such, he takes highest priority." And then the third. "And 3. You were doing what anyone else would do if their sibling gets in the same situation as you are right now, so we don't blame you."

Akira's eyes widened as he just looked down as Playmaker, Zavala, and Ghost Gal jumped out to follow Varis.

"Big brother... they can help her, right?" Fiora asked him softly.

"I don't know... I just don't know Iris... for now we must place our hope, and faith into them." Akira then turns over towards the unconscious Blue Angel in the altar. As much as he wants to do something about this, there is nothing he can do so he has to depend on Playmaker, and Zavala to free her from the virus plaguing Blue Angel right now.

Fiora frowned as she went over and gently took Blue Angel's hand. "It'll be ok, I promise."

Meanwhile on the Data Storm Playmaker and Zavala had caught up to Varis.

Varis seeing them smirked over. "I'll create a fitting stage for our battle!" He waved his arm as down below the ground is breaking apart as lava or visuals of it started breaking out down below them with the city breaking apart as well to make it seem like- "Now the hellish duel will begin!"

"You don't have your AI buddy with you though."

"I don't trust AI. The internet world is a fiction. What's important are the breath and heartbeat of life." Varis spoke over towards Ai in response. "Humans are stuck in the virtual world as an escape from reality. They refuse to follow life's harsh ways, and seek here to escape from their past, and their troubles. Link VRAINS should never have existed to escape from that reality."

"What is he on about? He's here in the virtual network, and criticizes it?" Ai questioned with Playmaker, and Zavala between him. "Can you two believe this guy?"

"Actually I can sort of see where he's coming from... a lot of people use Link VRAINS to escape the real world... but that doesn't justify everything he's done." Zavala frowned. He knows what Varis means but it doesn't exactly excuse all he had done. Besides, they aren't here to preach, or criticize Link VRAINS. Weather or not that it's used to escape reality or used for fun, it's being used for different reasons then it's being used initially.

"Are we gonna talk or duel?" Unlike them Playmaker isn't interested onto this now that the score to settle, and getting answers is now within their distance after so long.

"Very well Playmaker, then let's begin!" Varis smirked as as they rode together to begin this duel from hell.

"SPEED DUEL!"

Meanwhile Kolter is typing in keys. The cameras are being jammed so suddenly, and now he is trying to break through what is causing this jam. It isn't easy though, Varis is a skilled hacker, and he isn't making this easy for him to break through the jamming. Suddenly the cameras are turned on while he was trying to hack in.

"What?" Kolter questioned. "How in the world?" That's when he saw Ghost Gal waving towards a camera before it exit out. "Ghost Gal, oh that explains it... well I won't complain if it lets me keep an eye on things, but you two need to be careful."

Varis 1st Turn:

They all sped through as they watched. The first move belongs to Varis, and this will surely be a difficult duel for them to watch out for. One wrong move, and everything they all worked for will be for nothing.

"I'll be going first." Varis examines his hand to see what options he has. "I start by paying 1000 Life Points to activate Dragonoid Generator!" (Varis: 3000/Hand: 3) From him paying points came a spell where it shows of pods alongside a dragon statue on it.

Activate this card by paying 1000 LP. During your Main Phase: You can Special Summon 1 "Dragonoid Token" (Machine/EARTH/Level 1/ATK 300/DEF 300) in Attack Position, you cannot Special Summon monsters from the Extra Deck for the rest of this turn, also during the End Phase your opponent Special Summons 1 "Dragonoid Token" to their field in Attack Position (even if this card leaves the field). You can use this effect of "Dragonoid Generator" up to twice per turn.

"During my Main Phase, this card permits me to summon up to 2 Dragonoid Tokens onto my field. However, I will be unable to summon other monsters from my Extra Deck if I use this effect, and during my End Phase, you can summon an equal number of those Tokens, I summoned." Locking down his Extra Deck, allowing the opponent to summon Tokens of their own, and pay 1k of LP to use... he must be planning to sacrifice the Tokens for a strong monster. If the Decks of the regular Hanoi match to what he is doing, he is Tribute Summoning a powerful monster with them.

"His strategy couldn't be more obvious if he shouted it at us... this won't take any time at all." Ai mentioned confidently.

"I now activate Dragonoid Generator's effect to summon 2 Dragonoid Tokens!" The spell glowed as two dragonic like statues rose up in front of him.

"That monster again, so all the Knights of Hanoi use it, even the most powerful members?" Zavala asked seeing that.

"Then we'll just destroy it the same way we did last time." Ai pointed out figuring it be as easy as before. "This duel..."

"No, unlike that last time Varis was smarter." Playmaker interrupted him that Varis will not be as easy like the other Hanoi.

Varis smirked over before then speaking. "During my End Phase, the effect of Dragonoid Generator summons an equal number of Tokens to your field equal to how many I summoned this turn."

"How kind, giving us free Tokens." Both Zavala, and Playmaker didn't agree with that. Zavala had seen Playmaker's duel with the Hanoi who used this card so he should know with Playmaker that they aren't free.

"That activates your dragon's ability." Zavala recalled.

"True, I'm glad it made an impression on you Zavala... for every monster Playmaker summons, not only does it lose 200 attack points times its level but the same amount is dealt as damage to his life points. Crack Fall!" Varis smirked as the two tokens appeared on Playmaker's field only to spark with electricity from Cracking Dragon's ability.

"He's the leader of the Hanoi, it be out of character for him to be careless against an opponent that gains from what monsters they are using." Zavala pointed out that Varis isn't like the other Hanoi if he summons a monster that can give Decode Talker the edge against it.

"Maybe, but I can still summon a monster of my own, so I'll sacrifice my Dragonoid Token in order to summon Capacitor Stalker in Attack Position!" Playmaker called as the token vanished and a digital scorpion with a plug for a tail appeared in the zone Decode Talker pointed to.

Playmaker soon realizes something alarming. "With that last move, he's down to 900 Life Points!"

"Really? Could it be a skill that focuses on how low his LP is?"

"Instead of wondering why not I show?" Varis turned over with a smirk. "I can control the essence of the network... your waiting for me to capture you.." His hand glows before he shouted. Varis smirked at that. "Indeed, and as you know since I have less than 1000 life points I can add a monster from the Data Storm to my deck."

He flew towards the wave of data only to frown.

"This storm isn't big enough, I need something more powerful."

Soon a much larger wave appeared as he smirked and raced into it as he saw the silhouette of a dragon.

"This is quite bad! We are in a delicate pinch!" Ai spoke over towards him, and Zavala.

"There's one thing you can do Playmaker." Zavala told him. "You have 300 Life Points left."

Playmaker nodded from this as Ai perked. "Oh yeah, we are bound to get something!"

In the lab Kiyoshi is observing the duel before he generated a glowing card. "Varis now comes the time we will destroy the Ignis..." He sends the card over to the area,

Seeing a light above Varis knows that must be the signal for the final test. No this Speed Duel wasn't meant for him to acquire the Ignis... not yet anyway. He hopes to have the two show him their true skills, and deal against the Cyberse in the most productive way possible.

Ai summoned a Data Storm while he was thinking this, and Playmaker got in reaching his hand in ready while Ai called. "This is a powerful Data Storm! There is something pretty powerful in here!" Playmaker grabbed his wrist as he focuses the card as a dragon flew from the storm roaring gathering within his hand. Seeing the card manifesting he grabs it with a yell jumping out which Varis turned with a smirk. "Appear the future circuit that lights up my path!" The circuit appeared on the field.

But before Playmaker can summon his added card Varis intervened. "Trap Card, Remote Rebirth!" A trap card flipped revealing of Battleguard King being pulled out of the graveyard by a wizard having link markers on him.

Remote Rebirth

Normal Trap Card

Target 1 monster in your opponent's GY; Special Summon it in an opponent's Main Monster Zone your Link Monster points to.

"What?" Varis is using a trap card at a moment like this?

"This card summons back a monster from your graveyard to a Main Monster Zone my Link Monsters points at." Varis explains before raising an arm. "Revive to the field Capacitor Stalker!" Capacitor Stalker? But wouldn't that-

Capacitor Stalker rose up onto the field before they are aware of it.

Capacitor Stalker: (Attack Position/Linked to Topologic Bomber Dragon)

Topologic Bomber Dragon: (Attack Position/Linked to Capacitor Stalker)

"Wait, but why would you do that?" Playmaker questioned. "You know what it means."

"Of course I do Playmaker, I'm the one who made this move." Varis told him with a smirk. "As a monster was summoned next to Topologic Bomber Dragon's Link, it destroys every monster in the Main Monster Zones! Full Overlap!" Topologic Bomber Dragon roared as electricity destroyed Decode Talker, the Dragonoid Token, and Capacitor Stalker. "And since I destroyed your Capacitor Stalker again Playmaker, we both take 800 points of damage to our life points." The effect blasted the two again ending the match but in a different outcome.

"Wait so, this match ends in a tie!?" Ai questioned seeing this. With this kind of result, neither Blue Angel, nor him can be handed over. What is Varis really up to here?

"A tie? Oh no the true duel is now beginning!" Varis raised his arms as a large Data Storm began to envelope them all.

As it did Kolter's view vanished.

"Playmaker... let me handle this one." Zavala told him.

"What?" Playmaker questioned hearing that as the glowing card above is having the Data Storms around them to rise within a large twister.

"To steal a phrase from you there are three reasons I should duel Varis." Zavala told him lifting three fingers. "1. The Knights of Hanoi are my enemy too and we've been working together this far so it's only right I help you. 2. I owe it to Fiora to help save Blue Angel with my own hands. And 3. I can't explain it, but the expression when he first arrived... I don't have Ai, so what's going through his head, I need to find out."

It was overheard by Varis who perked up surprised. Three... reasons? How'd they know about his talk about 3 reasons to continue on? Surely they can't be...? He shakes his head denying the thought. No, it can't have been that. He dropped onto a field surrounded by the Data Storm while Playmaker, and Zavala dropped down in front of him. "A Speed Duel is too limiting. Now it is time for a Master Duel! As you two are aware Master Duels are where the true power of Link Monsters are shown... there is a Main Phase 2, we start with 5 cards in our hands, and we have more open zones. Now I can see the true power you both possess."

Did he plan this from the start? The Speed Duel was only a guise to hide what he had truly planned at them? If he hadn't revived Capacitor Stalker then he wouldn't need to worry about this as Playmaker's field be empty, and the cards in his hand wouldn't do anything against him.

"So you wanted a Master Duel the whole time?" Zavala questioned. He then stood up with his Duel Disk ready to face the Hanoi Leader himself. "Fine, this time I'll take you on Varis. With the same stakes of course."

Varis raised his arm as they blinked seeing the glowing card flying down, and inserting itself into his Deck. What was that? Did he added a new card in his Deck just now?

"I intend to face both you, and Playmaker together Zavala... but I suppose this is fine for now, cause right now to us Hanoi, your of more priority then the Ignis." Varis' words confused them onto this. Zavala is worth more to them then the Ignis? But why is that? "And now if I defeat you, I can not only dispose of the threat, I can also acquire the DARK Ignis at the same time... tis a fitting deal at hand."

"A bigger threat, what the heck is he talking about?" Ai questioned hearing of this.

"I have no idea." Zavala admitted before frowning. "But it doesn't matter because I'm not about to lose."

Varis however frowned slightly recalling the LIGHT Ignis's words that only he knew about the real threat. Still it wouldn't make a difference. He isn't planning on telling everything though. "Now then time to begin." A Master Duel Layout appeared in between them.

"MASTER DUEL!"

Varis 1st Turn:

"I will be going first." Varis swipe his arm where his hand appeared. Seeing a certain card, he taps it. "I activate the Field Spell, Fire Prison!"

At that something appeared above them that they see some sort of crest before something lowered down around them which looked like bars as they looked around.

All Dragon monsters on the field gain 300 DEF. If any Link Monsters are on the field, neither player can Link Summon a Link Monster with a lower Link Rating than the highest Link Rating on the field. Monsters cannot attack, except Link Monsters. Apply the following effects while 2 or more Cyberse Link Monsters are on the field.
● Negate the activated effects of Cyberse monsters.
● Cyberse monsters cannot attack, cannot be targeted for attacks, and cannot be targeted by card effects.

Ai flinched. "I don't like this, something about this cage feels really strange."

"Yes, I also feel something menacing from this." Playmaker spoke towards him at this.

"As long as this card is on the field, all Dragons on my field gain 300 Defense Points. Other then that, if a Link Monster is on the field, neither of us can summon a Link Monster with fewer Link Markers then that monster. And lastly Link Monsters are the only monsters permitted to attack!"

Not only can be have defense by not only raising his Defense Points, and limiting attacks only to Link Monsters, he can also manipulate what kind of Link Monsters that can be summoned. Although both Zavala, and Playmaker together can feel there is something else from within Fire Prison, something dangerous...

"Be careful Zavala, this duel is going to be the most dangerous you've fought by far." Playmaker warned him.

Zavala nodded from this as Varis takes another card. "Next I summon, Autorokket Dragon!" Materializing on the field was a different kind of monster then what they all encountered so far. It looked like a dragon that's also a pink bullet like monster with glasslike holographic wings with no legs.

"Huh? Rokket? He never used that in the earlier duel." Ai never recognized this monster, Varis was using DARK Dragons alongside Cracking Dragon so this would of course took him off-guard.

"He was obviously saving his real strategies for this Master Duel, which means we have no idea what his real deck is capable of." Playmaker frowned while watching this match. "Whatever this Rokket deck is Zavala needs to be extremely careful."

"Huh?" A strong Dragon right when he Link Summoned?

"Whenever I Link Summon, I can summon Linkbelt Wall Dragon from my hand. By doing so it gains 2 counters!" Two of the orbs on Linkbelt Wall Dragon started glowing.

Linkbelt Wall Dragon: (Counter: 0 + 2 = 2)

"As long as this monsters on the field we are not permitted to summon a Link Monster who's Link Rating isn't the same or higher then the total amount of counters on this card, and it gains a counter during either our Standby Phases. In addition, Link Monsters are the only monsters permitted to attack. And lastly due to Fire Prison's effect, it gains 300 Defense Points."

Linkbelt Wall Dragon: (DEF: 2100 + 300 = 2400)

He already summoned a dragon, and it further limits Link Summoning? That would mean, Zavala doesn't have the right to Link Summon anything other than a Link 2, or 3 come his turn. Alongside even if Zavala gets rid of Fire Prison, it wouldn't do much good if Linkbelt Wall Dragon prevents his attacks like the Field Spell was.

"Oh glitch... he really was holding back and you barely managed to duel him to a DRAW Playmaker." Ai pointed out seeing this. "Then again you didn't bring out your best cards either but still... this is bad."

"Lastly due to Striker Dragon's special ability, I take Boot Sector Launch to my hand." Varis' Deck ejected a card which he takes revealing a second Field Spell.

"Huh, what's the point of that? You can only have one field spell in play at a time." Zavala pointed out. "And you already have Fire Prison on the field."

"I don't need you to remind me." Varis knows that of course, he doesn't need someone like Zavala reminding him of that. Back-up plans are always a must in case Zavala does break out of Fire Prison. This is used to have Zavala draw out as the LIGHT Ignis calls the "Silent Heart" as he had heard from some Hanoi that Zavala's dragon has that in it's name. He can't afford to be careless, either Zavala summons the dragon, or he's doomed. "I end my turn with that Zavala."

Varis' Hand: 3/Field: Fire Prison (Field Zone), Striker Dragon (Attack Position/Extra Monster Zone), Linkbelt Wall Dragon (Defense Position/DEF: 2400/Counters: 2)

Zavala 1st Turn:

Varis is really up to something... why would he add another Field Spell to his hand, and use cards to limit his Link Summoning? Could Varis really be expecting a lot from Zavala? Well, either way he's not going to get answers by just standing here. "Right then Varis! I draw!" Zavala takes his top card drawing.

"And while you do that Linkbelt Wall Dragon's ability places a counter onto it!" A third orb on Linkbelt's mask glowed bright.

Linkbelt Wall Dragon: (Counter: 2 + 1 = 3)

"It was careless to let him go first... thanks to Fire Prison, and that Linkbelt on his field, he has the advantage in Link Summoning monsters. Currently only Link 2, and 3 monsters can be summoned." Ai spoke over that Zavala has limited options due to this.

"Maybe, but Zavala is a skilled duelist." Playmaker replied from this. Despite this massive disadvantage that Zavala is in right now, he still has hope that Zavala can pull off the impossible. "And you should be hoping he wins because your fate depends on his victory in this duel."

Zavala checks over his hand. From how Varis had placed him in, Zavala is in a severe disadvantage where only Links can attack, and only those higher or the same as the counters of Linkbelt can be summoned. He depends on Links either way, so it doesn't really hinder him. Although like Playmaker, and Ai voiced over they can sense something hidden within Fire Prison... he can also sense that. Still he can't afford to get careless here.

"Okay, for my first move, I shall summon Anwar Ghost!" Zavala reveals a monster within his hand before placing it on his Duel Disk where a black shelled ghost with a yellow eye rose in front of him.

"Linkbelt Wall Dragon's effect activates! Should either of us Link Summon a monster, this card loses 2 counters!" Linkbelt Wall Dragon's mask lost 2 glowing orbs which further limits the options they have to where only Link 1 monsters can be summoned, and due to Fire Prison's effect that isn't an option.

Linkbelt Wall Dragon: (Counter: 3 - 2 = 1)

"Good, Zavala can totally handle him." Ai grinned.

"I doubt it's going to be that simple." Playmaker frowned.

"Battle!" Zavala raised an arm as Warlock Guardian aimed it's rifle. "Warlock's effect activates! At the start of the battle, I destroy a monster with fewer points then her original, and add 1 Ghost to my hand that's different then all the others in the graveyard!" Warlock Guardian pulled a grenade throwing it over towards Linkbelt Wall Dragon as it detonated onto it which made it roar loud destroyed which gets rid of the limit the two have now.

As that happened Ghost Gal managed to get into the storm letting Kolter see the duel again as he saw Zavala was dueling this time in a Master Duel.

"Zavala..." Kolter spoke seeing this. This confrontation against the Hanoi is now within them, and now both Playmaker, and Zavala are doing all they can against their leader. Now he just needs to have hope that Zavala can handle against this guy. That card around them, this cage... it looks like something dangerous.

"Alright, he gotten rid of that annoying card!" Ai cheered seeing this.

"You may have gotten rid of Linkbelt Wall Dragon however due to Fire Prison's effect, you cannot summon Link Monsters that are linked lower then the highest Link on the field." Varis spoke over reminding that even if Linkbelt is gone, they are still limited onto Link Summoning.

"There's something off about that card." Ghost Gal frowned.

"That doesn't matter now does it? Warlock Guardian attack Striker Dragon!" Warlock Guardian aimed firing over a blast which pierced through Striker Dragon destroying it easily while Varis stood not fazed. (Varis: 3000/Hand: 3)

Varis taps a card on his hand. "I activate the effect of Rokket Recharger in my hand!" Zavala blinked hearing this. Though they blinked as Varis smirked hearing that.

"Huh, what's so funny, your monster is about to go on a one-way trip to the graveyard." Ai pointed out that Varis' other monster will be destroyed.

"It doesn't make any sense, why does he look thankful?" Kolter questioned seeing that. "Something's wrong."

"Why thank you." Zavala blinked as Autorokket began to charge up. "When a Link Monster targets Autorokket Dragon with it's special ability, I can destroy it instead in order to send a Spell or Trap Card on the field to the graveyard!" Zavala blinked shocked from this as Autorokket bullet head aimed at his face-down. "So I send your set card to the graveyard!" Autorokket's bullet head fired destroyed itself which Zavala's face-down was forced off the field.

"His Main Deck monsters have effects to disrupt the opponent if targeted by a Link Monster's special ability...?" Not only from this, as Autorokket destroyed itself, Warlock Guardian didn't destroy it that makes Zavala unable to add another Ghost to his hand.

"He outplayed you!" Ai panicked.

"Triple Burst Dragon attack the Ghost!" Strangely, Varis is not going for the Link Monster instead of the Ghost as Triple Burst aimed over blasting towards the Ghost.

"So you've studied my Deck..." Zavala knows what Varis is doing. "Should there not be a Ghost linked to a Guardian, they can't be revived." Triple Burst's blast struck over at Guardian Ghost destroying it without much of a fight that Zavala was pushed back but stood on his feet. (Zavala: 1800/Hand: 3)

'This duel isn't going well for Zavala... I wonder how he'll turn this around.' Ghost Gal thought seeing that.

Zavala looks around... there isn't a lot he can do. But thankfully he does have something he can do. "Well here is a flaw in your strategy! "This was created to eradicate the Cyberse... vanish Cyberse!" Zavala's two Link Monsters, and Clip Ghost fully vanished from the field while Ai from Playmaker's Duel Disk vanished as well.

"No way, that's impossible!" Kolter cried having seen that. "Yuta! Yusaku!"

Zavala, and Playmaker stares over at Playmaker's Duel Disk more then stunned from this. Varis had a card that can eliminate Cyberses by forcing his opponents to use Link Monsters, and bring about their best. Now that, it happened Zavala's offense was lowered down dramatically. Without his monsters, he won't gain equal footing against Varis now.

Suddenly Zavala perked when he hears something... a roar in his head. Checking in his Deck he sees the spot where his Extra Deck is glowing as he moves pulling out a card as he stares. "Silent Heart...?" The dragon gave a comforting growl. As long as it's around him, he is never truly alone, and is the weakness of this new fit from Fire Prison as well.

"Zavala?" Playmaker asked seeing that.

Zavala stared while Varis smirked over. "The Cyberses are gone now... you are now helpless!"

"...No I'm not." Varis loses his smirk blinking. "They are not gone, I can still feel their pulses! Like Playmaker, I can also sense, and feel the Cyberse's desperation to survive, and for help!" Zavala raised an arm. "Appear the circuit of the Traveler!" The circuit appeared again onto the field. "The summoning conditions are at least 3 Effect Monsters including a Link Monster!" Ghosts of his three monsters on the field all flew up entering the arrows.

Varis perked up seeing this. Is it coming, is the "Silent Heart" the LIGHT Ignis spoke about coming?

"Within the Heart of the World emerges the light shrouded in darkness! Now come forth to guide the light using the power of darkness! Link Summon! Come out, Silent Heart Link Dragon!"

Materializing was Silent Heart Link Dragon as it flew up onto the field roaring loud challenging Varis.

Unlike the other monsters Varis seemed to flinch seeing the monster.

"Since there aren't anymore Cyberse Link Monsters on the field, Fire Prison's effect ends!"

Fire Prison lose it's fire glow returning the field to what it was before. Ai returned back to Playmaker's Duel Disk since it's effect is no longer applied. "Oh, what'd I miss?"

"Zavala's ace." Playmaker answered simply.

Ai turned over as he can see Silent Heart again. "Oh! Silent Heart's here, and ready for battle!"

So this is the 'Silent Heart'... a monster that was used by Zarc to bring destruction all that he had went too... and now he will see in person what it can do. Varis is sure that this monster won't be easy to snuff out.

"As Silent Heart is Link Summoned, it's effect summons back Clip Ghost from the graveyard to gain it's Defense Points!" Clip Ghost rose up again as Silent Heart grew stronger.

Silent Heart Link Dragon: (ATK: 2500 + 1000 = 3500/Linked to Clip Ghost)

Clip Ghost: (Defense Position/Linked to Silent Heart Link Dragon)

"So it is true... the Silent Heart still beats." Kiyoshi watching this gritted his teeth together... if Zavala really is someone who was a part of Zarc, then that makes this situation more peril... what can they do against such a foe that would make the Ignis like ants?

"Battle! Silent Heart attack Triple Burst Dragon!" Silent Heart flew up charging a darkened blast. "Dark Heart-Break!" Silent Heart finished charging before blasting down at Triple Burst Dragon destroying it without effort while Varis raised an arm. (Varis: 1900/Hand: 1)

"Good, one more hit and he's done for." Ai mentioned seeing that. "Then we can save Blue Angel and get my body from him!"

Zavala sets a card. "I end my turn here."

Varis 3rd Turn:

"My turn, draw!"

"And I activate my face-down!" Varis raised an eyebrow as a face-down was revealed. "Traveler's Last Stand!" It shows of the Travler protecting the Last City.

You can only activate this effect of "Traveler's Last Stand" per turn.

"A Link Monster equipped with this card becomes a Guardian, cannot be destroyed in battle, and cannot be affected to your monster's card effects!" The Shield erected onto Silent Heart as it roared loud onto the field.

Silent Heart Link Dragon: (Equipped with Traveler's Last Stand)

"Well, looks like Zavala has this duel just about wrapped up." Ghost Gal noted seeing that as she messaged Akira. "Looks like you don't have to worry, they're just about done with Varis."

"I send Fire Prison to the graveyard!" The cage around them vanished as they looked around as Varis reveals the card he added with Striker Dragon at the beginning. "That way, I can use Boot Sector Launch!" A Field Spell showing of a gun barrel appeared on the field.

Boot Sector Launch

All "Rokket" monsters on the field gain 300 ATK/DEF. You can activate 1 of these effects;

● If your opponent controls more monsters than you do: Special Summon "Rokket" monsters with different names from your GY in Defense Position, up to the difference.
You can only use this effect of "Boot Sector Launch" once per turn.

"As long as this card is on the field all rokkets on the field gain 300 attack, and defense points!" While Fire Prison's defense effect faded from Shelrokket, Boot Sector Launch restored it back. With Silent Heart now onto the field Varis doesn't need Fire Prison anymore.

Shelrokket Dragon: (ATK: 1100 + 300 = 1400/DEF: 2000 + 300 = 2300)

"He's giving up on his prison?" Ai blinked. Why would he replace that powerful Field Spell with another? "What's his game here?"

"I activate Squib Draw!" Varis reveals a Quick-Play Spell of a rokket destroying itself while parts of it's glass wings lowered down as cards.

Squib Draw

Quick-Play Spell Card

Target 1 "Rokket" monster you control; destroy it, and if you do, draw 2 cards. You can only activate 1 "Squib Draw" per turn.

"I destroy a Rokket on my field, in order to draw 2 cards!" Shelrokket was destroyed as Varis drew two cards. "Then I activate Boot Sector Launch's effect! When you have more monsters then I do, I can summon Rokkets from the graveyard to my field so that I have the same number of monsters! Revive Magnarokket, Autorokket!"

Magnarokket, and Autorokket Dragons rose back up from the graveyard.

Magnarokket Dragon: (Defense Position/ATK: 1800 + 300 = 2100/DEF: 1200 + 300 = 1500)

Autorokket Dragon: (Defense Position/ATK: 1600 + 300 = 1900/DEF: 1000 + 300 = 1300)

"What's his strategy here?" Ai questioned seeing this not sure what he is doing. "I can't make heads or tails of it, is he going for that dragon of his, but Zavala's is more powerful and in the Extra Monster Zone."

"Noctovision Dragon's effect activates in my hand! When a DARK Dragon is Special Summoned, I can summon this card from my hand!" A larger dragon rose up with the same kind of wings like the Rokkets.

Both Zavala, and Playmaker remembers this monster. It was the same dragon they had seen Varis riding a while back then, which meant this must be his ace.

"So that's your real ace monster, from before you used the Data Storm." Playmaker noted seeing it.

"And now I'm gonna use it to destroy all of Cyberse! Due to the effect of Noctovision Dragon, when it's used for a Link Summon, I draw 1 card!" Varis drew checking over his card before turning over. That Trap card is gonna be trouble... none of Borreload's effects can work onto it. And due to Silent Heart's own effect, it can stop a card effect he uses. Luckily what he has can manage against it. "Battle! Borreload attacks Clip Ghost!" Borreload charged a blast firing over, and destroys Clip Ghost off the field as Zavala grunted that he can't negate Varis' further effects. "Then I activate Borrel Regenerator!"

"Well that's a powerful effect for the works... but you cannot target Borreload Dragon with Monster Effects!" Varis revealed with a smirk.

"What?" Zavala questioned in shock.

Ghost Gal frowned slightly hearing that. "Actually... hold on, it might not be as over as I said Akira."

"Ahh, really!? That's the card we should target!"

Since the effect already activated, Zavala can't stop it now. And Autorokket on the field would mean Silent Heart's protection will be gone. "I target Autorokket with this effect."

"You know what happens next." Varis smirked over. "When a Link Monster targets Autorokket with it's effect, I destroy it, to send a Spell or Trap card on the field to the graveyard." Unlike before Autorokket shattered turning itself into a ball of energy being inserted into Borreload's gun barrel body as it aimed over. "So I remove Traveler's Last Stand from the field!" The card appeared as Borreload blasted over that removed the trap from the field.

"This is bad." Ai panicked.

"More over due to Borrel Regenerator's effect as the monster it's equipped with is destroyed, I draw another card!" Varis drew checking his drawn card before setting it. "During the End Phase, the effects of both Autorokket, and Shelrokket in the graveyard activate summoning 2 rokkets from my Deck!" Zavala 3rd Turn:

Varis is unpredictable... it's like he's shifting strategies in between duels. They had assumed he would do the duel entirely around Fire Prison but when he summoned Silent Heart, changed his strategy to where now that Field Spell he had before is in play. A contingency plan should it fail... Zavala hates to admit it but he likes this guy's ability to adapt.

"You feel the same way don't you?" Playmaker asked noticing that. "He's good, very good."

"Yeah he is... even though he's our enemy, he really is amazing... honestly it's really making my heart beat hard." Zavala couldn't help admitting that this is really exciting him.

"Can you not be excited when my life is on the line please!?" Ai questioned.

"Sorry, just can't help it." Zavala smiled before he turned back. "Okay back to business, I draw!" He drew checking over to see what he can do here.

Playmaker watched calmly to see what Zavala would do. Seeing his drawn card Zavala nodded before he reveals it. "I activate the Continuous Spell, Darkened Hearts!" A card reveals of Silent Heart flying onto the field seeming to gather dark energy of people like it's absorbing the dark feelings of the masses.

(face-up)

Darkened Hearts

Continuous Spell Card

Link-4 monsters on the field cannot have their effects negated. If your Link Monster declares an attack on an opponent's monster, your opponent cannot activate Spells & Traps until the end of the Damage Step. You can only activate the following effects of "Darkened Hearts" per turn. (Even if this card leaves the field.)
● If your Link Monster battles an opponent's monster: You can make your monster unable to be destroyed by that battle.
● During the End Phase, if your Link-4 monster destroys an opponent's monster by battle this turn: You can inflict 1000 damage to your opponent.

"The effects of Link-4 monsters on the field cannot be negated, and if a Link Monster on my field attacks your monster, you cannot use Spell or Trap cards during that battle!" Zavala called as a protection wave gathered around Silent Heart, and Borreload.

"Wait, but his monster gets protected too!" Ai panicked.

"A price to pay, alright Silent Heart attack Borreload Dragon!" Silent Heart roared charging in towards Borreload. "Dark Heart-Break!" Silent Heart begins charging the blast before Zavala added over. "Darkened Hearts' effect! If my Link Monster attacks, you can't use Spell or Trap cards for this battle!" A darkened fog surrounded Varis' face-down.

"But I can use monster effects! Such as Borreload Dragon's ability!" Varis called pointing towards Borreload. "Anti-Enemy Varret! Once per turn, 1 monster on the field loses 500 attack, and defense points! You can't activate a card against this effect! I select Magnarokket Dragon!" Borreload roared over towards Magnarokket.

"Oh glitch, what now?" Ai panicked.

"Magnarokket Dragon's ability! When this card is the target of a Link Monster's effect, I can destroy it, to send a monster on the field to the graveyard!" Magnarokket shattered as it entered Borreload's gun barrel torso aiming at Silent Heart. "I send Silent Heart to the graveyard!" Borreload fired a blast over at Silent Heart.

So Magnarokket is like Autorokket that it removes a card without destroying said card to get over target protection, and destruction protection.

"Do something!" Ai cried fearfully.

"Don't need to tell me, I activate the effect of the trap card, Darkened Guardian!" A trap rose of a deceased Guardian while a Ghost floats above it. "Should a monster on my field leave the field, I banish this card, and a Ghost from the graveyard! My monster doesn't leave the field, and loses Attack Points equal to the Defense Points of that Ghost for the rest of the turn!" He picked the lowest point one which is Cassiopeia Ghost with 800 DEF.

Silent Heart Link Dragon: (ATK: 3500 - 800 = 2700)

The blast from Magnarokket was blocked by the effect while Varis smirked over. "So you defended your dragon. However, now it's weaker then Borreload!" Borreload aimed a second blast at Silent Heart. "Retaliate!" Borreload Dragon fired the blast that broke through Silent Heart's.

"Darkened Heart's effect! If my Link Monster battles, it isn't destroyed in this battle!" Zavala quickly called as a barrier defended Silent Heart again.

"But you still take the damage!"

Like Varis said, that the effect did protect Silent Heart but Zavala still takes the damage. (Zavala: 1500/Hand: 1)

Varis is just outplaying him at this point... He is step-siding each of Zavala's attempts without falter, and this is really stressful to watch... still he can't help but feel a little excited from this. Despite his reservations of dueling for fun being around Zavala is making him bring him out of them to do more then duel against the Hanoi.

"I end my turn." Nothing else left Zavala ended his turn there.

Silent Heart Link Dragon: (ATK: 2700 + 800 = 3500)

Varis 4th Turn:

"My turn again, draw!" Varis drew checking his drawn card. He gave another smirk seeing it. "Well, it's been a while since I last used this one..."

"What do you mean by that?" Zavala questioned.

"I activate Pre-Preparation of Rites!" A spell showing of Ritual Raven eating a lot of food offerings unaware of smirking hooded folks around it.

Pre-Preparation of Rites

Normal Spell Card

Add 1 Ritual Spell from your Deck to your hand, and add 1 Ritual Monster from your Deck or GY to your hand whose name is mentioned on that Ritual Spell. You can only activate 1 "Pre-Preparation of Rites" per turn.

"This card allows me to add 2 certain cards to my hand!" Varis takes the cards before then raising one. "And I'll play one of them! The Heavy Interlock, Ritual Spell Card!" Hearing that Playmaker, and Zavala widen their eyes as a spell showing of a Borreload before enveloped with energy.

Heavy Interlock

Ritual Spell Card

This card is used to Ritual Summon "Borreload Riot Dragon". You must also Tribute monsters from your hand or field, and/or destroy "Rokket" monsters from your hand or face-up field, whose total Levels equal 8 or more. The monster Special Summoned by this effect cannot be destroyed by battle with a monster Special Summoned from the Extra Deck, and is unaffected by the activated effect of any monster Special Summoned from the Extra Deck.

Varis is a Ritual User? That's really surprising, since Link VRAINS, and Link Summoning were a thing, the other summoning methods fallen out of practice. They have heard of it, but they never seen anyone use it due to it's time consuming resources to use.

"Ritual? That changes things." Playmaker frowned. He knew better than to underestimate Ritual Summoning and so did Zavala.

"Ritual? What is that again?" Ai does seem to recall but doesn't remember since he, and his fellow Ignis are more of the Link kind of Duelists.

"It's a mechanic where you activate a Ritual Spell and then Tribute monsters from your hand and field who's level equals the Ritual Monster you're trying to summon, then you play the Ritual Monster from your hand, they don't go in the Extra Deck so most people don't use that mechanic." Playmaker answered to explain how it works.

"Indeed however for this instead of Tributing, I destroy the monsters that requires it! As long as there at least Level 8." Varis gesturing a finger as Exploderokket, and Silverrokket on his field both shattered.

Zavala flinched hearing that. A large gun barrel formed as the destroyed Rokkets flew into it forming into a new monster.

"When the contract is made it spawns a hail of bullets! And that who manages it will use these same bullets to open my way to the closed world! Ritual Summon! Come out! Level 8, Borreload Riot Dragon!"

Forming from it was a version of Borreload Dragon that's blue with yellow energy around it as it roared onto the field.

"Two dragons with 3000 points? Zavala please tell me you have something to stop him." Ai mentioned nervously.

"Battle!" Zavala braced himself as Varis pointed ahead. "Riot Dragon attacks Silent Heart Link Dragon!" Riot Dragon charged a blast aiming over at Silent Heart before Varis raised an arm to add. "Then Borreload Dragon's ability activates! Anti-Enemy Varrett! One monster on the field loses 500 Attack and Defense Points! And you can't activate a card against this effect's activation!" Borreload roared loud as Silent Heart gets weakened.

Zavala grunted before he gestured to his field. "Darkened Heart's effect activates! When my Link Monster battles it isn't destroyed in that battle!"

"Likewise as the monster summoned by Heavy Interlock cannot be destroyed in battle by a monster summoned from the Extra Deck!" Riot Dragon fired a blast as Silent Heart blasted one back that passed each other, and struck each other but due to each Spell, they aren't destroyed in the battle.

"What was the point of that?" Ai questioned.

Playmaker frowned. "I'm not sure, but I have a bad feeling we're about to find out."

"And now Borreload Dragon attack Silent Heart!" Borreload aimed blasting over at Silent Heart as Zavala grunted. "And now Borreload Dragon's ability activates! Strange Trigger!" The bullet turned blue as it struck Silent Heart starting to glitch around.

"What?" Zavala questioned seeing that. "Silent Heart, what's going on?"

Suddenly Silent Heart vanished before it then moved over towards Varis' field that Zavala gasped at. "Borreload Dragon's effect; when it attacks an opponent's monster, I am given the option to take control of that monster to my zone Borreload points too under the condition it's sent to the graveyard at the end of your turn."

"What!?" Ai cried in shock. "He stole your dragon!"

"Now go Silent Heart attack your master!"

They waited before they noticed that Silent Heart isn't moving an inch to attack.

"What?" Varis questioned not understanding what happened. "Silent Heart Link Dragon attack!"

Silent Heart turned to him roaring loud that Varis stepped back.

"Uh, is there anything preventing that dragon from attacking? I mean, I'm not complaining but there shouldn't be anything should it?" Ai couldn't help asking Playmaker what the deal is. Playmaker does know, both Zavala, and Silent Heart have a close bond together, probably one he won't ever understand, but it is to where they are deep, and close friends to where Silent Heart won't ever harm his duelist even if he's taken over by the opponent.

Dr. Kogami however looked at that as his eyes widened in fear, the bond between Zavala and his dragon... it was the same as his, it was true... "Varis, you need to destroy him now... it's even more important than capturing the Ignis." It would mean that the LIGHT Ignis was correct, Zavala was the part of Zarc that he warned him about. They can't let him live now.

Zavala stared over before then looking at Silent Heart. "Silent Heart! It's okay go ahead, and attack!"

The dragon looked shocked but meeting Zavala's eyes it nodded firing a blast at him. Zavala watches as the blast approached before then flipping his face-down. "I activate my face-down, Traveler Revival!" A trap showing of a Ghost reviving a Guardian flipped up.

You can only use each effect of "Anesthrokket Dragon" once per turn.

Shelrokket Dragon: (ATK: 1100 + 300 = 1400/DEF: 2000 + 300 = 2300)

Anesthrokket Dragon: (ATK: 0 + 300 = 300/DEF: 2200 + 300 = 2500)

"I end my turn."

Varis' Hand: 0/Field: Boot Sector Launch (Field Zone), Borreload Dragon (Attack Position/Extra Monster Zone/Linked to Silent Heart Link Dragon), Silent Heart Link Dragon (Attack Position/ATK: 3500/Linked to Borreload Dragon), Borreload Riot Dragon (Attack Position/Gains effect from Heavy Interlock), Anesthrokket Dragon (Defense Position/ATK: 300/DEF: 2500), Shelrokket Dragon (Defense Position/DEF: 2300), One Set Card

Zavala 4th Turn:

"This is getting really stressful! No matter what, their being neck in neck every turn threatening to overpower each other!" Ai spoke to Playmaker not sure if he can handle much more surprises.

"I know, he might be our greatest enemy but there's no denying... Varis is a masterful duelist." Playmaker admitted. "I can see how he leads the Knights of Hanoi."

"No excuse to lower down now, I draw!" Zavala drew checking over. Nodding he reveals a card. "And I use the Equip Spell, Power of the Traveler!" A spell showing of a Ghost reviving a deceased power appeared.

Power of the Traveler

Equip Spell Card

Equip to 1 Link Monster your opponent controls. Take control of the equipped monster, and if you do, it is treated as a "Guardian" Link Monster. If the equipped monster is linked to a "Ghost" monster you control, your opponent's monsters cannot attack or target other monsters you control with each effects except the equipped monster. You can only activate 1 "Power of the Traveler" per turn.

"So now, I am taking back Silent Heart!" Varis' eyes widen as he watches as Silent Heart on his field flew back above Zavala.

Silent Heart Link Dragon: (Equipped with Power of the Traveler)

Power of the Traveler: (Equipped to Silent Heart Link Dragon)

"Good, he has his dragon back!" Ai cheered.

Ghost Gal frowned slightly seeing that. "This duel is on a whole other level. All three of them are in a league of their own."

"Now Varis... you have a pretty good way of bringing back the classics." Zavala spoke towards him which Varis blinked over from this. "It be fair I do the same to you." Classics? What does he mean about by that? "Under normal conditions I need monsters with the same Level... however if I use 2 Guardians on my field, I can do this!" The two glowed purple, and gold flying up towards a Galactic Portal.

"Huh, what's going on?" Ai questioned.

"Within the Galaxy threatened by the darkness, emerges the kind of Guardian that lost her Ghost! Now she holds the secrets to stopping the Hive! Xyz Summon! Come on, Lost Guardian - Eris Morn!"

Emerging on the field was a pale woman with a headback showing three dotted eyes holding a stone orb in her hands.

(Attack Position)

Lost Guardian - Eris Morn

DARK

Rank 5

Warrior/Effect/Xyz

ATK: 2600

DEF: 1000

2 Level 5 "Ghost" Monsters
This card can also be Xyz Summoned by using 2 "Guardian" Link Monsters you control. This card's Xyz Summon cannot be negated. Once per turn: You can detach 1 material from this card; Special Summon 1 Link Monster from either GY, ignoring summoning conditions, then treat that monster as a "Guardian" Link Monster, but negate it's effects. If a "Ghost" monster you control is destroyed, destroy this card.

(ORU: 2)

"What in the world?" Varis questioned in shock seeing the monster. Before he grunted over. "Whatever, I'll just get rid of it! I activate Riot Dragon's ability! I negate your monster's summon, and destroy it!" Anetherokket charged energy blasting over at Eris Morn.

"Eris Morn's effect! This card's summon cannot be negated!" Zavala countered as the blast did nothing on Eris Morn. "Then Eris Morn's other effect! I revive a Link Monster, and treat it as a Guardian but negate it's abilities!" Eris Morn takes an Overlay Unit in her orb. (ORU: 2 - 1) "Revive back Silent Heart Link Dragon!" Silent Heart emerged back out roaring ready.

Silent Heart Link Dragon: (Attack Position/Effects Negated/Treated as a Guardian)

"It's not strong enough..." Ai frowned. "He needs a miracle."

"And here is the miracle! I activate Traveler's Last Stand's effect in the graveyard!" Zavala added as the trap vanished. "By banishing this card from the graveyard, the Guardian that's summoned from the graveyard can attack directly this turn!" Silent Heart roared on the field.

Silent Heart Link Dragon: (Can attack directly)

"What? Oh no!" Varis widened his eyes hearing that.

"Oh yes! And when Silent Heart attacks you can't use spell or trap cards, and even if you use Borreload Dragon's effect to reduce it's points it won't be enough!" Silent Heart charged an attack.

"Not bad but I still got Borreload's ability! Anti-Enemy Varrett! One monster on the field loses 500 attack and defense points, and you can't activate a card against this effect's activation! I lower Shelrokket's points!" Borreload roared towards Shelrokket. "Shelrokket's ability activates! When a Link Monster targets it with it's effect, I can destroy it to destroy a monster in your zone the same column as it, and any monsters that are in the zones beside it are also destroyed!" Silent Heart, Eris Morn, and Guardian Ghost are the three monsters that Shelrokket's effect are aiming towards.

"This is it, if Zavala can stop this effect he wins, if not it's all over." Ghost Gal noted.

"Come on Yuta... this is your last chance." Kolter whispered.

"I can't use effects when Borreload uses his but I can against Shelrokket!" Zavala takes his last card. "I activate the trap, Traveler's Beckoning Light!"

Traveler's Beckoning Light

Counter Trap Card

If your opponent activates a card or effect while you control a "Guardian" Link Monster: Negate the activation, and if you do, 1 "Guardian" Link Monster on your field gains 500 ATK. If you control a "Ghost" monster that is linked to a "Guardian" Link Monster you control you can activate this card from your hand. You can only activate 1 "Traveler's Beckoning Light" per turn.

"A trap from the hand?"

"When I have a Ghost linked to a Guardian, I can use this card from my hand! Since I have a Guardian Link Monster on my field, I can negate Shelrokket's activation, and give Silent Heart 500 extra points!" Shelrokket's destruction was prevented, and weakened while Silent Heart powered up.

Shelrokket Dragon: (ATK: 1400 - 500 = 900/DEF: 2300 - 500 = 1800)

Silent Heart Link Dragon: (ATK: 2500 + 500 = 3000)

"No!" Varis cried in disbelief.

"Go Silent Heart attack Varis directly! Dark Heart-Break!"

Silent Heart charged an attack blasting over passed Varis' monsters to him directly as he yelled out crashing hard into the rock formation behind him.

Zavala wins!

Zavala takes some breaths before he couldn't help collapsing on a knee feeling real exhausted. Both that duel with Iris, and now this against Varis really took a lot out of him. Seeing that Playmaker jumped down to him. "Are you alright?"

"Yeah, never better." Zavala assured him.

"How... how are you so strong..."

Playmaker looked over to Varis as he struggled to get up. "If you really want to know Varis, me, and Zavala have 3 reasons why we are as strong as we are now." Playmaker lift three fingers towards the Hanoi leader.

Varis's eyes narrowed hearing that.

"1. We got as strong as we can against you, and the Hanoi for me to reclaim my past. 2. We have something important we need to save in addition to that. And 3. We don't lose not until we make the Knights of Hanoi pay for back then." Playmaker listed those reasons.

"And while you speak, give me my body back!" Ai suddenly shot towards Varis in his demon form over which the Hanoi Leader tried moving but Ai managed to chomp down on his arm.

Varis winced as the arm of his Avatar vanished.

"Come back here!" Ai moved but a green barrier popped up that stopped Ai further.

"Let's go Varis, we have a lot to discuss." they heard Kiyoshi's voice.

"This isn't over, we'll meet again you two." Varis stated as a ladder appeared and he grabbed onto it with his remaining arm before throwing a digital card to Playmaker before vanishing.

Ai flew back before he transferred some data to Zavala's Duel Disk. "Just gave you something else, I extracted from that guy." Zavala shrugged before he, and Playmaker logged out as the Data Strom around them starts to dissipate.

"We need to get that program to Akira and Fiora." Yuta mentioned. "Assuming it's real."

"But are you feeling alright Yuta? That duel took a lot out of you." Kolter spoke towards him concerned that Yuta is pushing himself.

"Honestly, I'm more confused than anything... but Varis... that duel could have gone either way the whole time... if either of us made one mistake it would all be over and he could beat you too Yusaku, we need to be at our best to stand a chance." Yuta admitted.

"Well speaking of best who wants to see me at MY best!?" Yusaku's Duel Disk began glowing bright as they watched when something began to rise from it. Shocked the three of them looked to see what was going on. Who rose completely was Ai back in his Ignis body as he grinned over. "Booya! Back to normal baby, Ai 2.0! What you think?"

Yusaku, and Kolter stared before turning to each other discussing about other subjects not impressed from the look that Ai slumped to himself.

"You're... small." Yuta admitted looking at him.

Ai pouted before noticing something. "Hey what's going on with your Duel Disk? That extra data shouldn't be damaging it should it?"

"The data from Varis, it's the antivirus for Blue Angel." Yusaku answered.

"Not yours! His!" Ai pointed out pointing at Yuta's Duel Disk that something pink is glowing from it.

Hearing that they looked at Yuta's Duel Disk. After a few seconds something formed onto Yuta's Duel Disk shaping as pink eyes, and a mouth while a background also. The face looked up before it greeted in a female voice sounding like a little girls. "Hi!"

bopdog111: Well looks like Ai picked up another companion accidentally this time.
