The Star Stone. It has concealed itself behind a barrier, beyond dimensions. In a place neither the Masters of Evil nor Thanos knows nothing of, and cannot reach. Merolantis. It is a reimagined underwater kingdom formed from the fusion of Meropis and the kingdom of Atlantis. Unlike most locations, Merolantis appears to be a harmonious fusion of its original locales. Thanks to King Namor's leadership, the aquatic people of Merolantis also enjoy a peaceful lifestyle. For now.

In his throne room sits Namor himself. The half-breed mutant king is joined by Queen Angelica the Anglerfish of the former Meropis kingdom, both of them hosting a meeting with some important subordinates regarding the status of the city. "Priestess Coral and my royal guard. Give us your reports." The brown-skinned Namor requested.

"Yes, Your Majesty." The sweet Coral the Betta acknowledged. Merolantis's Priestess gesturing happily to the sacred Angel Chao of the kingdom, Aquarius, "As you can see, Aquarius is looking perfectly healthy and we're both ready to defend Merolantis if needed."

"And you can keep counting on me to protect these two." smirked by the confident Razor the Shark. The self-proclaimed protector of the shrine that Coral works at.

Namor acknowledges them with a nod before turning to his City Guard for their own report, "And my guard?"

"King Namor." said Captain Striker the Mantis Shrimp. The loyal yet gruff commander of the Merolantis City Guard. "No trouble since the Star Barrier went up. Still no sign of the Serpent Crown. Long gone, no doubt, thanks to those surface dwellers." He reported, unaware that the Masters of Evil were responsible for stealing the Serpent Crown.

"I see. Continue your patrol." Namor ordered.

"Razor, escort Aquarius and the priestess back to the Eusebes Shrine." Queen Angelica tasked with a solemn demeanor that matches her position.

"Sure thing, Your Majesty. Let's get outta here, Coral." Razor said, gesturing both his friend and the Angel Chao to follow him out of the throne room alongside the City Guard.

BGM-Sonic Colors OST-Area: Aquarium Park

Swimming past everyone into the throne room are two young women that have relations to the King and Queen of Merolantis. Namor has a cousin. The kindhearted blonde, Namorita. And next to her is Angelica's daughter. A purple mobian fish that likes to act ditzy sometimes, Princess Undina. "Oh! Meeting's over. Perfect timing." Undina smiled, greeting the priestess while swimming past her, "Hiya and see ya, Coral."

"Hi, Deena." Coral smiled, expressing their friendship.

"Is something wrong, Undina?" The concerned Angelica asked her daughter.

"Not really. Just, like, bored of being stuck inside a barrier beyond time and space. I'm no longer getting updates on that new Twitter app I installed." Undina complained nonchalantly, flaunting her cellphone.

Pinching the bridge of her nose, Angelica sighs, "We discussed this. This is for the safety of you and all of Merolantis. We already lost too much to the Convergence, including your father."

"But I had, like, school in Spagonia to finish. Or is it Itagonia now," Undina wondered, "And I wanted to explore the surface world some more…"

"Do not be so obsessed with the surface world. It is a dangerous place. I know from experience." Namor advised the mobian princess, expressing his dislike of humanity.

"It's not all that bad. I know some women that would be quite the catch." Undina quipped with a smug look, trying to be clever and appeal to his heart.

"We're not going back." Namor declared with a stern glare, annoying the princess into making a cross-armed huff.

"At least until things quiet down out there." Namorita assured the princess. "Isn't that right, Namor?" She then glares at her cousin.

"Of course. By then, the surface dwellers will have killed each other and make it easier for me to conquer their land." Namor replied casually.

"Your cousin sucks." Undina snarked to Namorita.

"Undina!" Angelica snaps at her disrespect to their new king.

'Your Majesty, I have an urgent report!' Suddenly, Captain Striker contacts his king through a telepathic link hosted by Namor himself.

"What is it?" Namor responded.

'A submarine calling itself the Deep Typhoon has somehow breached the barrier! They claim to not be hostile and wants to dock. One of its passengers wants to talk to you, claiming to be an old friend of yours.' Striker reported.

"What's their name?" Namor asked curiously.

'Susan Storm.' Striker answered, which elicits a subtle smile from the Merolantean King.

"Let them in." Namor ordered, wanting to have his reunion with the only human that he loves.

Shortly After…

BGM-Super Mario Odyssey OST-Lake Lamode 1

The Deep Typhoon, a powerful submarine built by Tails, is allowed to dock at Merolantis's seaport. One by one, S.T.R.I.K.E. Heroes walk out of the ship: Ruby Rose. Amy Rose. Black Widow. Invisible Woman. Rotor the Walrus. Hulk. Severa. Heihachi Mishima. Hsien-Ko. Dark Pit. America Chavez. All of them led by Exalt Chrom. This team didn't bring an army with them, these 12 are enough to rouse suspicion by the racist Merolantean Guards glaring at them.

"And we can breathe underwater hooooowwww…?" Severa asked, noting her team's new ability to breathe underwater.

"Nanomachines." Invisible Woman simply answered.

"Riiigght." Severa snarked.

"So THIS is Merolantis." Ruby smiled in awe at what she's observing. A giant statue of the Olympian God Poseidon. Buildings that have features resembling fins. Fish Faunus swimming and playing with their dimensional counterparts. It is an underwater paradise. "Wooow, we never had anything like this in Remnant. Atlas was pretty close but that one was floating in the sky." She commented.

"An underwater kingdom. Never dreamed that I would step foot into a legend." Chrom said during his swim.

"Let me remind everyone that Merolanteans aren't exactly big fans of us surface dwellers. Let me do the talking." Invisible Woman warned her team.

"I understand you are friends with their king." Chrom noted.

"Yeah. Namor and I share a complicated history." Susan replied.

"Is he your ex-boyfriend?" Hsien-Ko asked.

"No!" Susan retorted, albeit in a fluster, "But he does have a crush on me that borders on obsession."

"Oh boy. Glad we didn't bring Reed along." Amy joked.

Just then, Namor's group meets the heroes at the seaport. "I didn't know humans can breathe underwater. What kind of humans are you?" Princess Undina asked while happily swimming to her new friends.

"I'm a huntress. Name's Ruby Rose." Ruby smiled, shaking hands with the princess.

"And I'm Amy Rose. I'm an old friend of Coral." Amy revealed.

"Oh yeah, she talked about you. You Freedom Fighters, like, saved all of Meropis one time. Nice to meetcha." Undina beamed.

"It's good to see you, Namor." Susan said, sharing a smile with her royal friend.

"Ah, my dear, sweet Susan Storm. More beautiful than ever. I'm happy to see you found a way to meet me in my new kingdom." Namor replied, hugging her in a friendly fashion.

"I have Miss America here to thank for that." Sue gestured to the nearby Starling. "She has the power to open portals to any dimension. When we learned Merolantis disappeared to a space beyond the Crossverse, she used her connection with the source of her power to bring us here." She explained.

"Thought so. You seek the Stone of the Stars." Namor frowned, knowing STRIKE came here to collect the Exo Stone that he found recently.

"We do." Sue nodded grimly.

"Then you have had a wasted journey. I will not give up that which protects my kingdom." Namor announced, refusing to help.

Persistent, Sue argues, "Will not? Do you know what's happening out there? We're at war. Xandar has fallen. Countless cities have-."

"You know I never cared much about the surface world, Susan. Without the Stone's power, Merolantis will also fall." Namor retorted, cutting her off.

"The Star Stone didn't save my world when it was invaded by Thanos. It's not going to protect you forever." America Chavez snarked.

"Do not underestimate me, child," Namor said with an intimidating glare, "I am King Namor! Only by my royal hand can the Stone be wielded to its fullest potential. If any invader comes, they will find us ready to finish them swimmingly."

"Forgive me, Your Majesty, but wouldn't it be beneficial to all parties if we work together? We share a common enemy beyond Thanos." Chrom claimed, deciding to chime in.

"And who might that be, stranger?" Namor questioned him.

"I'm Chrom, leader of the Shepherds and Exalt of the Halidom of Ylisse. And I am referring to Attuma." Chrom answered him formally.

"Yes. I have heard that barbaric traitor has allied with Doctor Doom." Namor remarked.

"Don't forget about the Egg Army. Akhlut was giving your kingdom a lot of trouble." Amy said, reasoning with Queen Angelica.

"That he has." Angelica acknowledged.

"They have threatened to conquer both of our kingdoms and will go through any lengths to claim them. What if they and Thanos invades Merolantis at once? Please, Your Majesty, we could use each other's strength if we are to protect what we hold dear." Chrom said respectfully, wanting to establish an alliance between STRIKE and Merolantis.

"I acknowledge your argument, but how can I trust you?" Namor questioned with a glare at the exalt. "I don't know the lot of you and I have grown weary of surface dwellers. Time and again they prove themselves to be the greatest danger to the planet. Their careless ways were poisoning the water that my people breathed and threatening to bring the oceans themselves to a boil." He explained himself, "I refuse any alliance with your kind."

"But, Namor-!" Susan retorted, trying to appeal to him one more time.

Sadly, Namor frowns at his star-crossed love, "…I'm sorry, Susan. My duty is to this kingdom, and my people. The Star Barrier MUST hold."

"You'd lock your people away behind this barrier forever?" Chrom accused, pointing a finger at the scowling mutant king. "This isn't a kingdom. It's a prison." He fearlessly claimed to the Merolantean Ruler.

"You DARE insult my home, surface dweller?!" Namor retorted, angrily threatening the blue-haired exalt with his trident.

"Not good." The worried Ruby exclaimed, thinking they'll have to fight the Merolanteans if they want the Star Stone.

BGM-Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite OST-Theme of Ultron

Suddenly, their navigator Maria Hill contacts the heroes with an urgent message, 'Get along, team! You have incoming!'

STRIKE and the Merolanteans look up at the watery skies upon hearing aliens rampaging and robots blasting. The Masters of Evil and the Black Order both have invaded Merolantis, each of them launching their own massive assault on the capital city. "Both the Masters and the Black Order?! Impossible!" Rotor the Walrus remarked in shock.

"The barrier is breached!" Namorita said to her cousin.

"They followed us through…" Chrom realized with a frustrated scowl, prompting Namor and the heroes to rush into the action.

BGM-Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity OST-Aquatic Time

Leviathans of the Chitauri and the Blowfish Transporters of the Badnik Horde engage in a heated race to decide who will ravage Merolantis first. The kingdom itself fights back with its defense system, retaliating with water-based weaponry that doubles as cover fire for the Merolantean Navy to join in with their warships. Enemy forces that do bypass their defenses deploy their soldiers to the underwater streets, specifically with the Black Order unleashing their piranha-based Metarex Gillmans onto the Merolantean Soldiers countering with their ray rifles.

"Careful, they look to be a handful! Rout them!" Chrom ordered his STRIKE team, slashing through a horde of Gillmans with his Exalted Falchion.

A Merolantean multi-legged walker mecha passes by the City Guard that are defending civilians from the Masters' Sinister Soldiers. Captain Striker and his female lieutenant, Echo the Dolphin, fight with a trident and bident respectively but it's not enough to slow down the menacing horde marching toward them. Thankfully, Invisible Woman swims in to assist them by deploying a force field that blocks their advance. "You're helping us." Echo the Dolphin commented, in shock at a human coming to their rescue.

"That's what heroes do." Invisible Woman smiled, converting her force field into a powerful shockwave that blows back the Sinister Soldiers.

Hsien-Ko and Dark Pit jump in to lend a hand as well, with the former using her Senpu Bu technique to slice through enemies like a swinging blade. "We still don't trust you surface dwellers." Captain Striker scowled, firing a beam from his gold gauntlet that obliterates an Outrider.

"No one cares, shrimp lips. Focus on the fight." snarked Dark Pit, firing rippling, water-like shots from his Poseidon Cannon that entangles enemies and smash them with the force of a flood.

Explosions are happening around Merolantis while its king struggles against an enemy horde. A Chitauri Warrior grabs Namor from behind until he shrugs it off and stabs another alien with the Trident of Neptune. Chrom comes to his assist with his Flare Blade move, swinging his sword to the ground with the explosive force to neutralize all troops except for the Outrider that has its head impaled by Namor.

"My people are getting flanked." Namor said.

"I'll be the rear guard. You're the vanguard. We must work together if we're to survive." Chrom suggested.

"Go! I don't need your distraction!" Namor retorted, getting fed up with the human king.

"I'm not leaving." Chrom declared with unwavering resolve, "They're your oceans, but we share the same Crossverse. Let us help you."

Namor wants to argue but the approaching enemy horde is forcing him to reconsider his attitude. With a reluctant sigh, he tells Chrom, "Cover me. I need to activate our backup shield.", finally deciding to call a temporary truce with STRIKE. Chrom nods to his order and protects him, while the Sub-Mariner uses his aquatic telepathy to contact Coral, 'Priestess Coral! This is your King speaking! I command you to have Aquarius activate the shield! Merolantis is under attack!'

Meanwhile, at the Eusebes Shrine…

The sacred temple inside an underground cave near Merolantis is under attack by a single metallic menace. Razor the Shark was knocked down with ease by the enemy, while Coral hugs her young apprentice, Pearly the Manta Ray, in fear of the intruder. Mecha Spider-Man, having an unbreakable grasp on the angelic Aquarius Chao. Razor's own Chao, Crusher, tries biting his arm in a desperate attempt to save Aquarius. He failed and was flicked away for his trouble, allowing Mecha the freedom to flee the cave with his new captive via the massive Blue Blowfish Transporter.

"No, give her back! PLEASE, DON'T GO!" Coral shouted with despair that didn't stop Mecha's escape at all.

'Answer me, Priestess! Activate the shield!' Namor demanded telepathically.

"I'm so sorry, your majesty! They took her! Some shiny spider-creature kidnapped Aquarius! Razor is hurt! There was nothing I could do to help! I'm so worthless!" Coral cried, feeling like a failure.

'Nonsense, my child. I'm glad all of you survived. Attend to Razor. I will have a party rescue Aquarius immediately.' Namor said softly, comforting her.

"Yes, your majesty." Coral sniffed, feeling a little better.

Back at Merolantis…

"What's happening?" Ruby asked, with her and some other heroes swimming to Namor's location.

"The enemy has found out about Aquarius, the sacred Chao that protects Merolantis. She was kidnapped by a shiny Spider-Man." Namor replied.

"Mecha." Ruby realized with a scowl, "That means Doc Ock is nearby."

"Hill, get a lock on him. We're going to rescue her on the Deep Typhoon! You two, with me!" Black Widow ordered her navigator, deciding to take Amy and Rotor with her for the rescue mission.

"Right!" Amy nodded.

"We're locking down the gates in the meantime!" Namor decided, before asking the nearby Invisible Woman, "Susan, can you provide us extra defense?"

"Sure thing." Invisible Woman gets herself into a position that'll allow her to focus her powers to their highest potential. Once reaching her full power, Sue fires a force field beam to the sky and has it spread across the capital city. Shielding Merolantis with a massive force field that is enduring powerful attacks from both Masters of Evil and Black Order forces. "Better find her soon! I can't keep this up forever!" Sue grunted.

BGM End

The Heroes are holding their own and the Masters of Evil are getting away with the city's guardian. It is only fair that the Black Order begin to take this Merolantis Battle seriously. "What do we have here?" Suddenly horrifying Invisible Woman is the sight of Proxima Midnight, the Dark General. "A human shield covering an entire kingdom. Sounds stressful. Let me relieve you." Proxima taunted, before throwing her spear at the vulnerable hero.

BGM-Marvel Future Fight OST-The Black Order

"IMPERIUS REX!" Just then, her spear is deflected by the furious swing of Namor's trident. "None will lay a hand on her so long as I breathe!" Namor vowed to protect his crush.

"Fine by me. You're who I'm after in the first place, Sub-Mariner." Proxima grinned, telekinetically retrieving her spear that she wants to use to kill Namor and steal his Star Stone.

"Too shy to settle things with me first?" Out of nowhere comes Miss America, slamming her fist on the spear that Proxima uses to block. "That's another ticket to the other side of the galaxy." America joked, opening a Star Portal underneath the dark general, who quickly jumps away from the trap.

"I won't fall for the same trick twice!" Proxima grimaced.

"Right back at you!" A vengeful Ruby said. Suddenly appearing beside Proxima with her new red beam scythe that cuts her. Doing more damage to her spirit rather than her body.

"A weapon that can hurt the soul?" Proxima noted. "You are no Death, child, but I will send you to greet her!" She scowled, engaging in an intense rematch with both Ruby and Miss America.

Namor swims fast, wanting to help the surface dwellers beat Proxima Midnight. But a raging Attuma intervenes, grabbing the king by the throat and ramming him through multiple buildings. "Attuma, you…!" Namor scowled, breaking free from his grasp to smack around his nemesis.

"I'm here too, your majesty!" grinned Akhlut the Orca. The bloodthirsty Egg Boss that grabs Namor by the legs before slamming him onto a rooftop. A swing of his trident forces Akhlut aback into the range of a water blast conjured by the trident that knocks him to Attuma's side.

"You're the ones that kidnapped Aquarius!" Namor scowled at the two Masters.

"One by one, I shall take everything you hold dear until all of Merolantis is MINE to rule!" Attuma declared with a vengeful fist, unveiling his three-bladed sword before he and Akhlut teamup against the King of Merolantis.

And while Ruby and America are holding their own against the vicious Proxima, another new challenger intervenes. Three of his four metallic arms fire special energy beams that surprises the trio, zapping them to their knees and making them wonder who this threat is. "Did you feel your atoms disintegrating? Excellent. That means my new nanotech arms are harnessing Anti-Convergium perfectly." smiled by the menacing Doctor Octopus. Using similar nanotechnology that is allowing non-aquatic creatures to breathe underwater.

"It'll take more than your toys to best me! I am the GREATEST in Thanos's Army!" Proxima scowled, furiously standing up to confront both Ock and the heroic duo of Ruby and America.

"And I am superior to ALL lifeforms in the multiverse! The die is cast!" Ock declared, ready to make this battle for the Star Stone more chaotic than it already is.

Elsewhere…

Mecha Spider-Man's Blowfish Transporter is flying quietly through the endless ocean. The Superior Spider is in the command deck, locking up Aquarius in a small floating capsule. "Chaooo…" Aquarius sadly said to the stoic android.

"Sir." A Sinister Soldier said, approaching his silent commander with a report, "Our forces are cornering the Star Stone's Wielder. It should be in our possession momentarily. And in the event they fail, our new Convergium weapon is ready for deployment."

Mecha nods, acknowledging his report. Then out of nowhere, his ship comes under fire by an unknown foe. "What was that?!" The Sinister Soldier asked his crew.

An Egg Pawn responds by projecting a visual of their enemy. It is the Deep Typhoon, blasting them with its laser cannon. "It's S.T.R.I.K.E.! Sir, what are your orders?" The Sinister Soldier asked for their orders.

"Eliminate." Mecha Spider-Man ordered coldly.

BGM-Sonic Rush Adventure OST-Submarine

His orders are followed and the Blue Blowfish Transporter accepts the battle with the Deep Typhoon. Missiles are fired and explode around the submarine, who counters some missiles with its laser cannon controlled by Rotor the Walrus. "Well, that got their attention." Rotor joked, before his ship receives some quaking damage. "You girls ready for the ride?" He glances at both Amy Rose and Black Widow.

"Yup." Black Widow responded.

"Couldn't we have decided on a less suicidal plan?" Amy snarked.

"We're going to die anyway thanks to these two." Black Widow quipped, gesturing to the two Jade Wisps that are willing to help them infiltrate the enemy ship.

"IC$SV21." A Jade Wisp smiled.

More lasers and missiles are traded between the ships that each receive damage. Rotor steals the edge in this fight by stunning the Transporter with enough laserfire before firing a powerful missile at it. Mecha's ship countered it with its own missile, canceling both attacks. But that was part of the heroes' plan. Tricking the enemy into thinking that missile was meant to harm them. In actuality, it was meant to transport both Amy and Widow as close to the Blue Blowfish Transporter as possible while they're in their intangible Jade Ghost forms thanks to the Jade Wisps. The ghostly girls phase into the enemy ship without triggering any alarms or arousing suspicion. "We're in. Stick to the plan." Widow whispered to her hedgehog partner.

The Deep Typhoon continue to distract the Blue Blowfish Transporter with its laser assault from outside, giving Black Widow enough time to discover the command deck where Mecha Spider-Man is observing the fight and where Aquarius is held prisoner. Still invisible, Widow sneaks in and frees the Angel Chao from her prison while gesturing her to keep quiet. But Mecha caught onto her plan thanks to his Digital Spider-Sense as he suddenly blasts Widow with Anti-Convergium that undoes her fusion with the Jade Wisp and pins her to the wall with a brutal head slam.

"NOW!" Widow shouted.

Expecting Mecha to interfere with the rescue, Amy hid herself until it was her time to strike. She undoes her Jade Ghost form whilst lunging toward the android enforcer with hammer in hand. Through her Heart Charge Cross Art, she infuses her hammer with magical energy that will cause serious damage if it lands. Mecha wants to stop her, but Widow stuns him with an electric sting from her gauntlet so her attack can go through. "ROSE TYPHOON!" Amy shouted, slamming her hammer down with a somersault onto Mecha, producing a pink shockwave devastating enough to knock out the rest of his crew.

"Squashed like a bug." Amy smirked at their apparent victory.

The celebration was premature as four spider-legs erupt from Mecha's back that scatters all the opposition. Mecha interacts with a hologram projecting from his gauntlet, activating a special command before crawling to a specific spot on the wall. "Hey! Where are you crawling to?" Amy taunted him, earning her and everyone else but Aquarius to be webbed stuck.

"Objective complete." The ominous Mecha said, exiting his ship through an escape pod.

"Abandon ship?" Amy remarked, right before his vessel experiences multiple explosions that are endangering everyone inside. The heroes and robotic soldiers alike.

"This was all a trap to get rid of us!" Widow realized in horror.

BGM End

There was no time for them to escape. The Blue Blowfish Transporter explodes in a terrifying blaze of glory that even catches Rotor off-guard. The Deep Typhoon was caught in the explosion. Partially, but still crashes onto large rocks that causes a minor flooding. Rotor survived the crash, shaking off the grogginess before his concerned mouth shouts, "AMY! WIDOW!"

Lots of smoke is floating where the Blowfish Transporter used to be. Lots of robot parts floating in the sea. Mecha really sacrificed his own squad to kill the heroes. Or so he believed. Thanks to Aquarius's magic, Amy's group survived. Shielded from the explosion by her water bubble. "We're still here, Rotor. Lucky enough." Widow said, assuring him through the comlink.

"Quick thinking, Aquarius. Thank you." Amy smiled at their savior.

"Chao chao!" Aquarius acknowledged with her own smile.

"Is the Typhoon damaged?" Widow asked the walrus.

'Yeah. A little flooded. We should still be able to make it to the Shrine no problem.' Rotor answered.

"Let's hope the others can hold out just a few more minutes." Widow frowned.

Back at Merolantis…

BGM-Dragon Ball FighterZ OST-Android 21 (Good vs. Evil)

The Masters of Evil and Black Order ships are still pounding on the force field blocking Merolantis from feeling their full wrath. Invisible Woman is straining herself to keep it active and her friends are doing their best to protect her from harm, for if she falls, Merolantis will fall. Hulk and Heihachi are smashing everyone and everything trying to be threat, while Dark Pit and Hsien-Ko support the Merolantean Army in defending innocent people.

'Just got word from Black Widow. Aquarius has been saved. But it'll be a few minutes before they return her to the Eusebes Shrine to activate the magic rings.' Maria Hill contacted everyone, in the midst of Severa dueling with Bark the Polar Bear.

"I'll have this place cleaned up by then." Severa joked. Bark then pounds his fists together to activate his new Cross Art: Ice Fists. An icy blast is fired from his hand toward Severa, who shouts, "Escutcheon!", and blocks the powerful blow with a magical barrier.

Meanwhile, Namor and Attuma are still in a heated clash under the sea. Their fearsome strength and swordplay rival each other, prompting Akhlut the Orca to swim in and lend his fellow Master a hand with a flying punch. Namor swims above his attack, just for Attuma to slam a Hydro-Bomb onto his chest and detonate it at point-blank range, sending the Merolantean King flying toward the Temple of Neptune. Namor stops himself from causing collateral damage and uses his trident to manipulate the vast ocean around him, creating a whirlpool that draws in both his enemies so they could be blasted down to the streets by his furious water blast. That was only the beginning of his counterattack. Namor calls for a killer whale to ram into Attuma, causing a concerned Akhlut to shout, "Attuma!", before the mobian himself is electrocuted by two electric eels.

"You're next, peasant! All enemies and traitors of Merolantis will KNEEL before their king!" Namor declared, propelling himself and his trident toward the Egg Boss in a violent whirlpool of waves.

"Not sure how to kneel. Give me a demonstration." Akhlut grinned deviously. Just like other Egg Bosses, he is outfitted with cybernetics that grants him special abilities. For a warrior like Akhlut, he has the power to launch mental attacks on his foes until their minds shattered. He uses this to not only blow away the eels but to shatter Namor's concentration, causing him to collapse and kneel in humiliation before the smug Orca, "So that's how you show respect to your better. Good to know."

Namor's strong will is doing its best to resist his mental power, just as Attuma finished killing the whale that was biting on him. He takes advantage of Akhlut's attack to launch a swimming blow of his own, using his sword to impale Namor to a building. "Death to Sub-Mariner! Only Attuma will wear the crown of Merolantis!" Attuma gloated, driving his blade deeper into Namor's chest until he screams for mercy.

"Don't see it fitting you."

Coming to Namor's surprise rescue is Chrom, freeing the king by slashing Attuma's blade to pieces before firing an electrifying sword beam that knocks back both aquatic foes. "Not bad…for a human." Namor said with some growing respect for the Exalt.

"You Fish Men are capable warriors yourselves." Chrom quipped, sharing a smile with the Merolantean King.

Two Kings of two different kingdoms finally decide to combine powers against a common foe. The Fire Emblem imbues Chrom's sword with its sacred flames before crossing the Trident of Neptune that's eager to unleash its watery wrath. A massive whirlpool of fire and water then erupts from the Kings' weapons to target Attuma and Akhlut. Two tyrants that refuse to be intimidated and try stopping their combo with all their barbaric strength, ending in an explosive stalemate that can be felt across Merolantis.

The only fight that's as ferocious as theirs is the three-way brawl between Ruby Rose and Miss America, Doctor Octopus, and Proxima Midnight. The latter strikes America with a superfast dashing thrust that still blows her far despite blocking the spear. Proxima then leaps to land a slamming strike on Ruby, who uses her Cross Art to teleport away from the attack. Doc Ock catches the huntress with his tentacle and throws her at Proxima, knocking them both down so they could be lasered by his Anti-Convergium. America then returns through a Star Portal to grab Ock by his tentacles, spinning him around before throwing him into a building. The Starling goes to clash her fists with Proxima's spear and the two look to be evenly matched. Ruby appears to lend her friend a hand by disarming Proxima of her weapon. The enraged Proxima retaliates with a backhand swing that knocks away the huntress. America throws a punch that is blocked. Before Proxima throws a kick that is too blocked by the multiversal hero. Ruby returns again to weak Proxima's soul with a slash of her energy scythe. Allowing America to land an energized kick that sends the Dark General flying. The two girls would've continued with their relentless assault if it weren't for the sea feeling hot all of a sudden, causing them to stop and feel the painful burn.

"AAAH! HOT HOT HOT HOT HOT!" Ruby expressed humorously.

"No way we're in hot water already!" America commented, sensing something is strange by this sudden underwater heat.

With them distracted, Proxima recovers her spear to smack down the girls with an electrifying slash. She senses Ock's tentacles coming and quickly deals with them before piercing Ock to death with a spear throw. She lets her guard down, thinking he's dead. Only to be surprised and struck by more Anti-Convergium beams fired from a very alive Ock. "What trickery is this?" Proxima wondered, before she is assaulted by more Doc Ocks that makes her answer quite obvious, "Illusions!"

'Looks like Mysterio is helping Ock from the sidelines.' Maria Hill realized. She is quick to discover Mysterio's location on a rooftop, and the tech he is using to manipulate all of the Masters' enemies. 'He's on that roof! Hsien-Ko, knock him off his high horse.' She ordered the nearest hero to him.

"I have just the thing." Hsien-Ko smiles as she uses her Tenraiha technique.

The Jiangshi drops an anvil that rains spiked balls on the shocked Mysterio. They hit him like hail that cracks his helmet, pushing him down and again each time he tries getting back up. The spiked rain soon stop and Mysterio recovers from it. Managing to stand for a second until a large frying pan falls on his helmet, completely shattering it and knocking down the fake magician so the stars can circle over his unconscious body.

All of Mysterio's illusions cease to be, resulting in Ock losing his advantage over his enemies. "Beck, you fool!" Ock cursed his teammate, right before Proxima obliterates his tentacles and defeats the sinister doctor.

"Your tricks and technology never stood a chance against a Child of Thanos!" Proxima mocked him.

As soon as she said that, Proxima is uppercutted by America flying out of her Star Portal to give Ruby the opening for her ultimate move. Petal Onslaught. "You're going on time-out!" Ruby declared. She uses her scythe to tear open a rift in spacetime, much to Midnight's surprise as it entraps her. Her surprise is amplified when she is bombarded by a relentless onslaught from a teleporting Ruby that is knocking her higher and higher to the sky, ultimately leading to her being slammed into the kid's final attack range. Using her Semblance, Ruby meets her on the ground in time to strike her with a roaring, "HAAAAAAAAAAAH!", massive scythe swing that smashes the Dark General into a building that collapses atop of her.

"Did that do it?" America exclaimed, wondering if that last attack defeated Midnight.

BGM-Super Dragon Ball Heroes OST-Shadow of Death

The atmosphere is left quiet yet haunting while the girls stare at Proxima's apparent burial ground. Shockingly enough, the rubble that was crushing her scattered from eruptive electrifying power that threatens the entire battlefield. "You're kidding…" Ruby remarked, with eyes widening in horror at her enemy's survival.

Proxima Midnight stands up once again as a menacing silhouette within the smoke. Her thrown spear turns into energy lances that pierce both Ruby and America, wounding them to the point of collapsing onto a bloody puddle. "Foolish child." Proxima mocked the defeated huntress, looming before her to continue her taunting, "You HAVE gotten stronger. I will acknowledge that much. But never in your lifetime can you hope to match me in strength and skill. You call yourself a huntress yet allow monsters to be your predator. Worthless." She smiled, enraging Ruby. She ignores her to focus on her objective: The Star Stone in Namor's possession, who is still supporting Chrom in their battle with Attuma and Akhlut. "THIS is how you hunt prey." Proxima throws more energy lances at the four, surprising them when the painful attacks land and knock all of them out in a single blow.

"Dammit…" Namor grunted in pain, staring at the Star Stone that dropped from his person.

"This Stone belongs to my master. Never again will it leave his sight." Proxima said, taking the Star Stone for herself.

BGM End

"You won't get away with this…!" Attuma scowled, wanting revenge but is too weak to fulfill it. So he decides on the secret backup plan, resulting in him yelling at Ock, "Octavius! Summon our weapon!"

Weakened himself, all Ock can do is touch his earpiece to contact his metallic enforcer, "Mecha, do you hear me? Unleash the Octo-Kraken NOW!"

BGM-Super Dragon Ball Heroes OST-A Fierce Battle for Death

Descending from a massive dimensional portal outside the city is the Convergium Weapon that Mecha Spider-Man's crew was talking about earlier. Terrifying metallic tentacles emerge from the portal. Tentacles belonging to a gigantic, cybernetic, four-armed sea creature with skin colored a menacing green. Born from Octavius's Convergium experiments, it is the ultimate sea beast born from the fusion between his Mechtopus and the legendary Kraken. The Octo-Kraken is here to destroy Merolantis.

"GRRRROOOOOOOORRRRRR!" The Octo-Kraken roared monstrously down at all opposing parties that were fighting each other a minute ago.

"What is that?" Heihachi wondered.

"The Kraken." Namor noted with a stunned expression, "What have they done to it?"

The Octo-Kraken is powerful. Deadly powerful. Possessing monstrous strength that matches its size. Its tentacles wipes out both the Chitauri Leviathans and the Merolantean Warships with ease. With just a smack of one tentacle, it destroys the force field that was protecting Merolantis, knocking out Invisible Woman who could no longer sustain it. "Sue!" The concerned Hulk shouted.

The Octo-Kraken's next target is Proxima Midnight. More tentacles thrust at the evasive general but eventually land some decent hits that even caught her by surprise. "I don't have time for this. I got what I came here for." Proxima said, firing a lightning bolt from her spear to paralyze the Kraken long enough for her Star Stone to open a portal that transports her out of this doomed kingdom.

"No! I won't let you take the Star Stone again!" America scowled, using her link with the Star Stone to open a Star Portal that'll take her to its location. But she must act fast or else her connection will be blocked by the Black Order.

"Forget about her! We have to stop that thing from destroying the kingdom!" Ruby shouted, demanding for her help against the Octo-Kraken.

"I'll lose it if I don't go after her now!" America argued.

"Is revenge more important than saving these people's home?" Ruby retorted.

America gasps, remembering how powerless she was to save her home dimension, the Utopian Parallel, from Thanos. Her mothers died to his invasion and the Star Stone was lost. Vengeance is what helped her survived all these years. Now Merolantis is on the verge of suffering a similar fate unless she makes a wise decision. "…No puedo creer esto." America growled, reluctantly closing her portal and losing the Star Stone's signal. All to save Merolantis.

"Hulk and I will destroy that thing." Heihachi announced, prompting Hulk to embarrass him by carrying him toward the Octo-Kraken.

"Don't leave me out of the fun." America shouted, flying after them.

BGM-Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite OST-Theme A

Meanwhile at the Eusebes Shrine, Coral and Pearly have finished tending to Razor's wounds when the Deep Typhoon emerges in the underground cave and Amy's Group rushes out of it alongside Aquarius. "Amy, you're here! And with Aquarius! You saved her!" Coral said with grateful relief.

"And we need you and Pearly to save Merolantis! Let's hurry!" Amy retorted, leading everyone into the temple.

At the same time, Hulk, Heihachi, and Miss America are confronting the Octo-Kraken outside the capital city. 'Black Widow to STRIKE Team! We made it to the Shrine! Coral is about to activate the barrier!' Widow quickly informed everyone.

"Take your time. I wanna have my fun with this." Heihachi smirked, powering up his electrical aura.

"KKGGROOOOOOAAAAR!" The Octo-Kraken roars down at its puny enemies.

"RAAAAAAAAAWWWRRRRR!" Hulk roars back with greater ferocity.

The Octo-Kraken makes the first move, launching a large tentacle swipe that the three heroes evade. "Tie that thing up!" Heihachi ordered Miss America.

America complies, grabbing a tentacle and flying at top speed to avoid all other attacks while tangling the gigantic sea beast. She goes over and back. Left to right. Looping the tentacles and pulling them tight like a Christmas bow. Partially immobilized, the Kraken claps two of its hand on the otherworldly Latina, who uses her immense strength to halt its attack for a while. Hulk lends her help by throwing Heihachi, who uses his Hell Axle technique to knock back the massive monster, freeing America from its grasp before Hulk shoulder-tackles it. Heihachi then delivers one electrifying Spinning Demon Uppercut that smashes apart some of its cybernetics.

Back with Amy's Party, Coral and Pearly have summoned the tools that will aid Aquarius in unleashing her full power that will defend Merolantis. The Mystic Melodies. "This is gonna be close." Razor commented, feeling the Merolantis Battle reaching its climax.

"I won't fail this time. The King and everyone is counting on me." Coral encouraged herself.

Playing on their magical flutes, the Priestess and her apprentice activate the magic rings that power Merolantis. Miraculously, the city's bubble shield is raised anew. With the added bonus of unleashing energy blasts that end all invaders. The Black Order Fleet is annihilated alongside the Masters'. Speaking of the Masters, Doc Ock and his fellow villains are forcefully banished from Merolantis. The light of Aquarius ripping them away from the underwater kingdom. Only the Octo-Kraken remains, enduring the Mystic Melody with all of its remaining strength.

"Tough guy, huh?" Heihachi noted the Kraken's durability.

"Let's show him the way out." America declared.

Hulk jumps high to grab a disabled Blowfish Transporter in time for the team's combo finisher. America flies down at full speed with a fist empowered by dimensional energy. Heihachi surges with lightning that powers up his Demon Breath technique. Their simultaneous attacks are about to land, with Hulk roaring, "RAAAAAAAAARRRRR!", before crashing his large ship onto the Kraken. Their combo, combined with Aquarius's power, resulting in the explosive destruction of the Octo-Kraken. Merolantis is saved.

"Stupid fish. Made Hulk hungry." Hulk scowled.

"Let's grab some seafood on the way home." Heihachi laughed.

Later…

STRIKE and its Merolantean allies reconvene outside the royal palace. Namor stands before them all to oversee the damage his kingdom sustained from the invasion and the current relief efforts. "Aquarius is safe, as is my kingdom. But it has suffered theft and many casualties. The Star Stone is gone." Namor said, before turning his stern stare at Invisible Woman, "If I didn't care so much about you, Susan, I would ALMOST think you led them here."

BGM-Fire Emblem Warriors OST-Bonds

Susan frowns with guilt, wishing her friend and his kingdom didn't have to suffer any more than they already have because of careless surface dwellers. But her guilt is calmed as Chrom steps forward to speak with the king, "Namor. The stars can no longer hide Merolantis. But the Stone's departure has created a bridge between our species that brings hope to us all. It is true mankind has dirtied your oceans, and on behalf of them, I apologize. Help us purify our mistakes, not through war and segregation, but through our bond. It is the only way peace can exist in all realms."

"And whenever you need it, you can count on us to lend Merolantis a hand. I mean, what are friends for." Ruby added with a promising smile.

"Would love that. Gives me more time to explore the world and become an ambassador for the kingdom." Princess Undina smiled.

"Undina…" Queen Angelica remarks with shock at her daughter's dream. One that she is growing a heart to support.

Namor processes all their words while exchanging stares with the Ylissean Exalt. His mind arrives at a decision. One that he speaks with sincere respect, "You and the huntress speak wisdom, Exalt Chrom. If a king cannot see when he must change, then he is not fit to lead his people." He then offers Chrom a handshake to seal their newfound alliance against the Black Order and the Masters of Evil. One that he accepts with absolute respect. "I will aid you in the war when the time is right. For now…" Namor walks away with his fellow Merolanteans. All while telling his multiversal allies, "Merolantis needs its king."

BGM-Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite & Beyond OST-Lobby Theme

KFX Here: Thought I add a little diversity and have Namor in this universe be based on his Marvel Rivals incarnation, who is based on his MCU incarnation with the brown skin and some Mayan elements in his backstory. So the Black Order have regained the Star Stone. 5 Exo Stones have been collected, but we're going to take a little break from the Exo Hunt. It's time for a breather chapter, and then an epic 2-parter. Fans of the original Exo War may know what I'm talking about.

Renato Chacin: Inhumans and Faunus get along just fine. Bonded over the mistreatment humanity gives them. As for your second question, no. Eggman can tolerate temporary alliances with those villains. He'll never develop a genuine friendship with them like he has with Doc Ock. Even then, their friendship has problems.
